helinues:Lol. Love that too. Sublime literary wit on display. "Abakaliki Shakespeare" na die. 😅😁 |
Wickedtruths:Lol. I have always said Igbo man never says what he means and never means what he says. When an Igbo man foams at the mouth against you lenghtily then it will usually be because you have prevented him from аchieving his hidden and nefarious agenda. Obi rants rabidly against PBAT daily while he slavishly worships Atiku and other Fulanis ingratiatingly. Yet can Obi, who says he is a pal of "good people" IPOB, confess those Kanu said Igbo must fight to get the entire SE to key into the whole IPOB lunacy that has now turned ther region into Somalia? Was it a need to fight to the death the Yorubas and Tinubu or Buhari and his Fulani "jihadists" Kanu and co used to get Igbos backing and donating to their cause whereas Obi and co, after IPOB has destroyed Igboland, now wish to change the narrative today to present Tinubu and "ndi Yorubas' as the new and greatest enemies of the Igbos? |
Christistruth03:Of course it was. They are just mad we are now aware of their nefarious intentions and repelling them. Our trusting and accommodating fathers and grandfathers gave them multiple chances. This is despite the proven fact their fathers and grandfathers, in Azikiwe etal, are guilty of only ever nurturing an agenda of ethnic domination and covetously expansionist incursion into the SW They believed the accommodating credentials of Yorubas to mean we are 'mumus' they can subjugate in their own land as Fulanis have succeeded to achieve against Hausas. Cannot happen. Igbos and Fulanis are broadly the same, I.e both are malevolent expansionists and covetous land grabbers even as their modus operandi may differ. The crucial difference is that Yorubas are not Hausas who willingly ceded what is in the best interest of their generations unborn into modern Fulani slavery. Whereas the Fulanis succeeded in the North, the Igbos will fail in Yoruba land always. The greatest anger of most Igbos, which many in the Yoruba intelligentsia class are aware of, is the bitter disappointed they have not being able to achieve in the SW what the Fulanis have against the populously predominant Hausas in the North. |
Fiscus105:Lol. Facts and established reality plays no part all in the reasoning and talk of Obidients. They truly are something else. |
spencekat:Isn't that the nature of opposition politics all sides engage in? Perhaps I missed it, and giving you the benefit of the doubt, can you show condemnation for Obi's penchant for pettily "reacting to any news against APC/Tinubu"? Even to the ultra petty and senseless levell to claim PBAT erred not wearing "funeral outfit" to visit Benue after an attack that saw many lose their lives? |
jmoore:If he is a "content creator" then kindly tell us what Obi is. |
owobokiri:Ye of course we must view him a condemnable villain who is in the wrong against you guys who are all virtuous saints and victims of wrong behaviour of others worldwide. Be that in South Friday, Kenya, Ghana, Indonesia, India, Thailand. Etc. What is shown below is the truth for any decent, upright and God-fearing person. Continue denying it to feed historical obsession with demonizing a people who have been the best allies and enablers of you guys, in the entire world, yet you took for granted and decided to turn into your enemies because they will not allow you dominate them as Azikiwe sought his entire political life yet failed to achieve.
|
helinues:Dude is just bitter. Don't mind him. Even what he accuses you of, the conclusion of the article explains factually. Yet me and you know them as irresponsible. Everything is always the fault of others while they are always virtuous and blameless. They must all act like GRV, Azikiwe, Kanu and co constantly yet when Yorubas begin reacting and showing enough is enough, in the spirit of self-preservation, they begin playing victim and accusing us of condemnable behaviour they are masters of. I personally don't think the relationship between Yorubas and Igbo can ever be repaired because of what the author of the article , below, rightly confirms about the pugnacious, ungracious , typically bigoted and entitled attitude of young Igbos towards Yorubas in Yoruba land. Yoruba youths, unlike our fathers, are rising up against it. They have really damaged things to force the hands of Yorubas with the consequences of that now visible today.

Softmirror:Lol. Indeed. Melaye the boss af agbero and Lamborghini politics. Below was a disastrous low for Nigeria's image and politics courtesy of Melaye. I.e his appearance in court on a stretcher and pretending to be comatose. Yet the Nairalanders desperate to see the back of PBAT are now cheerleaders of the likes of this clown Melaye. I am slipping bro. Walayi. How did I forget Melaye ? 😅😅😂

DeLaRue:Absolutely. Amaechi is hghly and condemnably irresponsible in both words and action. A total disaster. I've lived away from Nigeria for many years starting from early teens so I've been influenced by other nations. It is returning to Nigeria and formally engaging in business ownership that has shown me Nigeria is the worst nation in the world per those totally unfit for political and public administration leadership gaining important positions. Look at UK politics for example. Keir Starmer is a fitting Prime Minister who deserves office from being a dogged, ever present and valiant leader of the Labour Party who led them to victory because he was always available to espouse the merits of the Party and reiterate the need for the British people to vote Labour. Atiku, after losing election, returns to Dubai and totally abandons/neglects the affair of the political Party he ran on to then show up four years latter demanding to be President. How can any sane and fairly politically sophisticated Nigerian vote for such a character who'd be viewed a caricature, aberration and joke in British and European politics? In fact, Atiku is a tragic reminder of how politically unsophisticated, to their own detriment, most Nigerians are. I want honest people, whoever they support, to really reflect on issues and point to any Politician who wants to be President in 2027, other than Tinubu, who practices Party politics as Starmer and his peers in the West do. Tinubu is always exemplarily available working hard relentlessly and dedicately for any Party he has built and helping such reach the apex of Nigerian politics be it ACN or APC. He gives his all demonstrating always, as an example of desirable world best practice , what fit and proper political leaders , who should be in charge of the lives of an electorate , must be about. Even Datti Baba Ahmed recently praised Tinubu's special and unique quality of building his ambition to be President over decades of loyalty and devotion to sacrificing for others selflessly and doing the right thing always by his political Party and affiliates. He warned ADC they would fail if they do not have leaders whose main interests are genuinely about what is best for Nigeria and can sacrifice for her greater good as Tinubu has consistently done. From Atiku, Aregbe, El Rufai, Malami, Babachir Lawal and Obi to Ameachi etal, they are all disloyal and desperate opportunist jumping ship in pursuit of selfish ambitions to then be attacking the political Party they have departed yet previously swore was the best to deliver Nigeria. It is nauseating and saddening to watch as an exposed individual. I.e the lack of principles and enduring political ideology by so many politicians bar a few like PBAT, Bode George, Ken Nnamani etal. If I had the power of God, I'd simply instil requisite political sophistication in every Nigerian adult, so they can see what truly matters , because I believe that is what Nigeria needs, more than anything else, to become truly great. |
yarimo:Lying with ease serially, when such is not even needed, shows a deceptive, manipulate and emotionally immature nature. Even as a friend, a person who lies regularly and shamelessly should be avoided. Talk less of a politician who wants to be the Presidenf of the biggest black nation on Earth. |
Obi is a shameless and desperate liar. Kilode? What most people do not understand is that lying needlessly, from an adult of Obi's age, is a big sign of emotional immaturity which is a giant red flag as far as political leadership is concerned. For how Igbos follow their own blindly (Kanu, Ojukwu, Azikiwe Kaduna Nzeogwu etal) to their own detriment, thinking the are fighting/spiting others, nothing I would love more than for Nigeria to formally adopt regional autonomy so Obi can be the Premier of the South East Region. |
Conclusion of article. Very interesting read.

Continuation.

@OP. You left out the important parts of the article, to include the conclusion, without which the entire opinion piece makes little sense. https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/355038/ndi-igbo-the-new-colonial-developers-in-africa.html#google_vignette

Validated:Lol. Being a graduate impacts commonsensical reasoning how? You guys are something else. |
PrinceofSarcasm:Yoruba this and Yoruba that. Yorubas send you people how? Do you even know one Yoruba person well to understand how we think and what matters to us? We aren't tagged sophisticated and progressive for nothing. If we are the most exemplary enablers of others in our land, arguably to our own detriment, how does it make sense we resent the success or progress of others in their land? |
sreamsense:Bruv, most of these guys are driven by ethno-religious hatred for others. This is why they never see the position of other and what they want. Like fundamentalists, uncompromising anarchists and haters, what they want is all they allow to influence their mindset. If not, then why will the instructive words of many SS leaders like Governor Eno, who see Tinubu as their friend and partner in progress, go ignored by Obidients who continue to insist South-South region will follow Obi ,as they did in 2027, when Tinubu has proven, with action, he is the President to empower the region optimally? Below are the words of Eno, before he defected to APC, that should show sensible people what objective and progressive Southern leaders, seeking the best for their State and people, think of PBAT. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/788157-pdp-governor-endorses-tinubu-for-second-term.html PDP governor endorses Tinubu for second term |
casualobserver:God bless you. What you identify is a major reason it is taking an agonisingly long period of time for Nigeria to get where she needs to be. Imagine a nation with many, as if under a voodoo spell, determined to whitewash the image of a man whose well-recorded history screams mediocrity and failure? Even here on NL we have the likes of Owobokiri and Mr.Vitalis , plus many others, who were very critical of Obi and condemned him as unfit to lead in the past. Yet, when the possibility of him helping them achieve an Igbo presidency seemed viable, they all started waxing lyrical about Obi they thoroughly vilified in the past. No doubt you are correct concluding "we are breeding too many dull citizens" in Nigeria today. I would add bigoted to the dull meaning "double wahala for dead body " i.e Nigeria . |
Elusive001:Peter Obi, in comparison to PBAT, is a messiah only to adult who irresponsibly ignore proven facts and reality, for whatever reasons, to take flights of fantasy. For example, adults capable of pragmatic and critical thinking warned of the danger ahead if the SE embraced and legitimised the agitations of Kanu and co. Where is the SE today for shunning the advice of those who are pragmatic and critical-thinking to embrace and empower Kanu and co? Same is happening with Obi who is, frankly, a disgrace in terms of the best Igbo can offer as Presidential candidate yet so tragic to see how, self-destructively, you lot continue to worship him with messiah zeal. We have seem this before with Ojukwu etal and it all boils down to lack of emotional intelligence that compromise logic and the ability to think winningly/critically. |
SmartPolician:"Carries the hope of a working Nigeria"? Obi is not an unknown politician with no history. For example, because of my professional practice, I call Nigerians who have newly arrived the UK "credit Virgins" Meaning they are not known to the UK consumer credit databases in a good or bad way. If I then help guide them properly, from arrival in the UK, I can ensure they do the right thing , via laundering their credit image positively, to convince UK credit management algorithm view them good credit risks to the extent they can even buy their own home , via long term mortgage credit, 2 to 3 years after arriving the UK. Now, imagine how impossible it would be for me to do same for Nigerians who are already in the UK consumer credit database as bad credit risk because they have multiple county court judgements, over a lengthy period of time, for failure to pay bills meaning the credit issuance system views them as not worthy of credit? This is what you people are trying to do with Obi. His failed and well-documented leadership history, over a lengthy period of time, is there for all to inspect yet you continue to insist he is a leadership messiah . If Nigeria works like the credit system of developed nations, then Obi woul be a very bad risk to contemplate because of his well-certified failings as a leader. As simple as that statistically and scientifically. |
Sheuns:Sports is big entertainment business earning literally billions for so many on far too many level than can be counted. Why should the athletes who entertain the world, especially if they win big for their nation, not be rewarded big? Please stop the 'hater' talk. It makes most of you sound like communists who argue private wealth and reward is a crime and only public welfare matters in life. Public welfare does not negate the important need to adequately reward elite athletes who have won the ultimate prize for their nation. Any serious nation would reward winning athletes appropriately so that others would consider it fitting to represent their nation and give their best always because they known their effort will be appreciated and rewarded. |
@OP. No correlation at all with all you wrote and the universal practice of countries worldwide rewarding athletes for bringing champion glory to a nation. Athletes who win the ultimate prize deserve it. Especially when representing their nation. |
blackgold2018:Number one is the only option I can accept. 2 is for Southern slaves of the North. Perhaps that is who you are. Northerners are our fellow Nigerians and brothers but they must respect us too as Southerners respected them to honour the power shift accord that led to Buhari enjoying 8 years on behalf of the North. Let Obi, Amaechi etal challenge Tinubu. If they win then fair play to them. I am a citizen of the world and cannot be a slave to Northerners when in Nigeria we should be equal partners in the union an respectful towards each other. |
esnbrutality:My friend, go and sit down. I was very critical of his conduct but I commend him for apologising unreservedly as expected of an Omoluabi. That na wetin Yorubas take pass una. Stop being full of bitterness always. See even Ashleigh Plumptre, Super Falcon, sef don turn Najia to Kwam 1 musical talent. Her Uncle. Time you lot move on . You can never win with your hate against Yorubas who are a loveable people with a winning way and culture. 😎 https://youtube.com/shorts/bsZ4tELOfO4?si=TxberwG2QoJqWEaO |
blackgold2018:Obi should man up, instead of always fleeing, and stand his ground against entitled and born-to-rule Northern supremacist as Jagaban did. |
Better. We can all make mistakes. To apologise as soon as possible, for our misbehaviour, is proof we are not beyond rehabilitation or redemption. |
AdUlAM:Finest Colorado bro. You should see the TCP glistening. Make I send you some via bike courier? |
NSK4U:Don't mistake me for no Southern unity advocate. When I use the South I mean a people with fair homogeneity of socio-economic, religious and cultural ideals. I would expect those people to be intelligent enough to make pragmatic choices that is in the best interest of their generations unborn instead of bickering pettily because of envy and ancient bitterness/hate towards each other. Yes Tinubu is best to deliver a competitively free-market, innovative, private sector -driven and decentralised democratic system of governance that is the optimal and best chance, medium and long term, for Nigeria to attain "developed Nation" status. If you lot cannot see that, then that is your problem. |
