Realguyman1:Whatever. You're just emotional. Good luck to you and have a nice weekend. |
Princedapace:They can solve the problem. It is the deadlock or impasse between the North and South that is the problem. Interests are different. Legislators from the North and South will never be able to vote unitedly and progressively in the interest of what is best for Nigeria. This is why Tinubu is a great President. It is near miracle-level talent that has seen him achieve all he has so far such as development commissions for every region, local government autonomy, fuel subsidy removal, tax reforms, NELFUND, floating of Naira etc, etc because opposition to those progressive solutions would have been massive and serious. You can see, below, Senate leader Opeyemi Bamidele assuring that the issue of regionalism was not part of the ongoing review of Nigeria's constitution because he knows the topic literally makes the North see red. The article even confirms Senators from the North vehemently opposed all talks of regional form of governance. https://thenationonlineng.net/constitution-review-northern-southern-senators-disagree-over-regional-govt/ Southern and Northern Senators on Saturday disagreed over the agitation for the reintroduction of a regional form of government in Nigeria.

Realguyman1:See my response to CodeTemplar above and stop letting your personalised hatred of others lead you to attacking them blindly. Whatever your views of me, and I don't care what they are, I am a progressive, peace-loving and solutions-driven individual who wants the best for Nigeria. Leaders are bot the problem. The structure is. This is why many progressive Nigerians shout "restructuring" daily and have been doing that for decades since the days of Awolowo yet it has not happened. It is obvious why clearly identified Solutions, that can assist Nigeri become developed, are not being implemented. |
CodeTemplar:We need true fiscal federalism and sincere restructuring of Nigeria. That this has not happened is not because Nigerian leaders are dumb or incompetent. It is not happening because the North and South are adversarial and have very different interests and beliefs. Meaning our legislators will never vote to do the right thing. Literally every day all progressive Nigerians shout we must change the regressive 1999 constitution yet legislators pretend to be deaf. I am sure you know why. The article below, detailing disagreement between Northern and Southern legislators, says it all. If I were to describe it, I will it is a problem of light and darkness balancing each other out with non being able to win. Meaning light, obviously better, has to be frustrated by darkness. Trust me bro, the solutions are known and easy to implements. The North-South dichotomy is the enemy of those solutions being delivered af not leadership cluelessness as most Nigerians simplistically believe. https://thenationonlineng.net/constitution-review-northern-southern-senators-disagree-over-regional-govt/ September 29, 2024 by Sanni Onogu, Abuja

I personally stated it was going to be Hamzat over 2 years ago. Proper technocrat and sound individual. Analytical mind and steady hands as well. Listens more than he talks. Nairalanders with solutions ideas should feel free to petition Hamzat. He will give you audience and adopt your solution if it adresses challenges of Lagos. |
MEGAWATCH:Maybe GEJ should have been brave enough to remove fuel subsidy then, as Tinubu did on day one, if he is so "powerful". |
Mbanda:Long and short, you're scared right? |
fnep2smooth:You people should quit with this infantile and bigoted gaslighting. Prove the real and verified capacity of Obi or any other Igbo to be Nigeria's messiah instead of just blackmailing the biggest black nation on Earth, every day, that it is only an Igbo who can deliver Nigeria. You've done this for 7 decades now and even caused a civil war because of your megalomaniac predisposition. Yet is the SE paradise to validate your claim only you lot have the solution? The SE is the most shunned, most intolerant , least immigrant friendly and most mono-culture region of Nigeria. Do you know what these simple facts show about you guys yet you keep insisting you are messiahs? How can you claim to be the ones possessing the best capacity to lead Nigeria forward when, unlike Yorubas, you cannot even create egalitarian and vibrantly cosmopolitan societies in any of your five States Nigerias would prioritise moving to as most Nigerians now head to the SW and SS daily to begin new lives? Far from it. People are fleeing the SE and Obi's Anambra daily for Lagos and the SW never to return. You guys should learn to respect others and understand they are not fools even if indoctrination in your communities lead you to believe you were created to dominatewhen ther is not a single factual proof that is the case. |
deesquarediddy:Tell us the way forward then. Suggest solutions for our major problems. |
Fearyourcreator:Nigeria's Presidency is not Obi's level. Obi cannot even be a local Government chairman in very competitive and 'loaded' districts in Lagos. Is Gbajabiamila the mate of Obi? Obi's messiah worship just shows how we have a serious problem of ethnocentric animosity, desperation and resistance to each other in Nigeria. If not, can't Igbo find a better candidate instead of this failure they are now trying to rewrite history and present as Awolowo, Mandela and Kwame Nkrumah rolled into one? |
SmartPolician:Lol. You believe you have more value than the many leading Nigeria? Look, I know many Nigerian political leaders and many are people with high IQ and above average capacity for delivering solutions. Many have impressive CVs confirming they are bonafide solutions providers. The problem with Nigeria is structural even though I can partially agree with you we also have many in leadership who have no business leading. |
Counterigbolies:Don't mind them. Well-said. They can think well but most are just ethnocentric bigot whose capacity to Reason logically and pragmatically is always compromised meaning they will never come online to speak the truth about the unspoken reality of Nigeria we are all aware of. Their mission is of course to gain ethnic political profit from demonizing "Yoruba President" and I have seen many of them have commented on this thread. Intelligent Nigerians can note how Atiku has only spoken recently to condemn an air strike attack on a market in the North intel has shown is a terrorist hub. Unless I missed it, has he commended the government for the 'neutralising' of the ISIS second in command worryingly living and operating freely in Northern Nigeria? What of Obi? Does Atiku, Obi and many others behave as if they are seeking solutions or like cynical and calculated political opportunists? Who knows what some of them are doing underground? These things aren't rocket science. Those pettily seeking ethnic president can keep being mischievous. It is all of us who will suffer if we fail to support the right solutions and keep touting ludicrously one man can be Clark Kent i.e superman. |
Chegesnd:Think deeper. Being Commander in Chief means what given the peculiarity and idiosyncrasies of Nigeria? We the most unfortunate nation when it comes to underground adversarial efforts to undermine and dominant others. Terrorism is a weapon in that effort today. We host a congregation of people who are the biggest enemies of each other yet keep pretentiously smiling in public talking of 'one Nigeria' while scheming murderously to gain advantage over over. The North and South are very different. If you consider the lack of sincerity of Northern leaders to tackle insecurity, perhaps because they are tacit supporters and sponsors of it, you truly believe even Jesus, as Commander in Chief, can resolve the aspect of this battle many of you don't factor in? I.e the ideological sympathy bandits and terrorists enjoy in the North West all never talk about? Gumi is always presenting bandit and terrorist killers as victims the system let down. While Gumi is outspoken, how many think like him yet never publicly announce they are sympathetic towards bandits and terrorists? Do you know the number of Northerners, leaders and ordinary people and even military personnel, supportive of bandit and terrorist to then be abetting them daily? Insecurity is not ending until Northerners, at all levels, want it to. Deal with that reality and stop decieving yourselves. |
You guys attacking Tinubu are just bigoted fifth columnists. Tinubu is 100% correct and most intelligent Nigerians know he is right. Coincidentally, I made same claim even today with the post below. Keep attacking PBAT myopically. It is your generations unborn who will suffer if you keep pretending not to know the truth, till those who want Nigeria run like a primitive harem regain power and renew their oppressive hijack of the fuel sector, CBN brigandage, forex arbitrage etc. . This time they will be more ruthless trying to plunder Nigeria and steal trillions because Tinubu has shown the world Nigeria can aspire to be progressive and seek first world development. https://www.nairaland.com/8675857/2027-tinubu-falls-power-nigerians#139479340 WizardOfNG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=xdBPhYAIGtGBJfWO |
Mbanda:Just checking.😎 |
worldpeacetoday:Yes, because Northern elites and leaders are the biggest political benefactors and sponsors of insecurity. They are the most wicked and oppressive leaders in the world in my opinion and I have stated it tirelessly that Nigeria must take them to task if our nation is to move forward. The Whole Nigeria just keeps indulging them. What is Atiku seeking to be President for when all Northern leaders should be concentrating all their efforts and resources (wealth, political, religious and cultural authority etal) on delivering solutions for the insecurity they are causing that is threatening to engulf Nigeria if they are truly sincere? Northern leaders are being very irresponsible, even attempting to shade Tinubu for the problems we all know they are part of and abetting underground and all Nigerians are indulging them. I really don't understand it. |
Topman7:Lol. Trump is unstable but he is running out of friends and goodwill. He is about optics as well. I think he views Tinubu, the leader of the biggest black nation on Earth, an ally in a time he is now desperate for such. Trump admires 'strong men's leaders also. Putin, Xi Jinping etal. USA intelligence network is lit. I believe Trump understands what Tinubu is as a Southern leader of a nation fraught with internal and deadly sabotage of itself through ethno-religious animosity yet PBAT continues to deliver results and get his ways. USA distinctly complained of Buhari's hesitance to allow them help Nigeria fight terror. Today, since 1999, they are getting never-before-seen cooperation and approval from the PBAT Government in an allied partnership. Right now, I am almost 100% sure the world is thinking "who else but Tinubu" giving how Nigeria's importance to the developed world has jumped up because of our oil and gas endowment in a period access to energy seems to be a critical game changer and bargaining chip. |
Topman7:Sharp guy. Spot on 💯% . They are desperate to regain power so Illiterate Northern owners of Bureau De Change will begin carting home billions daily, because their political compatriots have hijacked our CBN (that just won world central bank of year for the first time in our history under Cardoso) while Nigerians who needs forex legitimately, for business and foreign tuition fee payment etc, cannot access dollars, pounds sterling, Euros etc. The main problem of our nation is that a large number of Nigerians are not critical thinkers even as many are naturally talented in many aspects. "Nitwits" as you describe them. Everything about Nigeria before PBAT was fake and about weaponization of poverty. We subsidized ourselves into failure and created a nation citizens are kept docile, rather than empowered and innovative, by cynically evil Governments that gave them crumbs through subsidies in various form. We have privatised our power sector completely. Considering Nigeria has more than 230 million people, investors should be trooping in to develop our power sector and make a huge killing for themselves considering what appears a huge base of paying customers. Yet they are staying away. Why? Subsidy of the power sector that created non cost-reflective tariff, a direct disincentive to private sector investment, that has now made Nigerians a people who believe they should pay next to nothing for power whereas power generation, transmission and distribution is seriously expensive business. Yet Nigerians are barking at the President trying to attract foreign investors to our power sector, through gradual removal of electricity subsidy , and clearance of trillions of Naira debt GEJ and Buhari racked up. Bro, Nigeria is painful when you know too much and are analytically discerning because it is frustrating many around you cannot see their real oppressors and use knowledge to note who their liberators are. |
Ofunaofu:We don't have to make noise and roll around on the floor dramatically like you lot. We will handle it. Once State/regional policing is in place then best believe SW is marching forward at the speed of light. As things stands, those who want Nigeria's security architecture unmodernised, non intelligence-based, and without DNA-centric optimised capacity to destroy crime, will always get success. Stop fooling yourself and attempting to decieve others because you are desperate to see an Igbo Presidency. Intelligent Nigerians know the solutions. They also know why those solutions are not been implemented as quickly as possible. Nigeria's major woes did not start in 2023, when PBAT became President, and won't end when he leaves. Our challenges will only get resolved when intelligent Nigeria commit to consistently learning the nature of our problems and supporting the medium to long term solutions needed to make our nation a developed one. You guys claim to be educated yet, how long do you think it took China to get where they are today after serious precious challenges? 3 years you are giving Tinubu to turn Nigeria into Dubai? The North, for example, should be forced to end the Almajiri system asap and face perhaps a two children per family population control policy China adopted ( one child limit) to deal with a difficult period where China's huge population was became a threat to the economic prospect of the nation. Yet, can we have such a conversation in Nigeria? No. Not possible. Yet you lot who are supposedly the educated class keep being emotional about everything and shouting Tinubu up and down. Nigeria and Nigerians aren't ready for solutions. Blame culture and dislike of yourselves means you like to put blame on other and singular individuals (Tinubu) for solutions provisions we must all be a part of. |
Mbanda:Mbanda, where are you? |
OneCandleAway:You this girl, what is wrong with you? The bolded is opposition politics for God sake !! Why can't GEJ stand his ground, given the power he had as President , if he is a proper leader and do what must be done as PBAT is doing? Kemi Badenoch is giving Keir Starmer, who I don't believe is a totally woeful UK Prime Minister, serious wahala. She might even succeed to get him kicked out. It is opposition politics. You people should stop crying about GEJ. It is annoying. Majority of the problems we face as human beings stem from what we allow others to do to us. That is the case with GEJ. Tinubu had no fault. He was just playing opposition politics. Contrast with how they are doing same to PBAT yet he is matching them stride for for stride. Is El Rufai still mouthing off? Could GEJ have moved as Tinubu has done against El Rufai? Please, refrain from admiring and worshipping weak leaders. Leadership of a murderously feudal and highly divided nation like Nigeria is not for the weak. |
Ikenna7235:A cancer patient needs painful and lengthy chemotherapy to heal. What part of that very simple analogy do some of you not understand? Did Tinubu cause the cancer? If I take time to explain the problem of the power sector and show you factually that the regime of GEJ and Buhari ran up trillions of Naira in debt to generation and distribution companies they irresponsibly failed to pay would you agree they were wrong and created a big problem for Tinubu that our current President must not be blamed for? No. Because , like most Nigerians, you are not innately reasonable by nature. Most Nigerians can never put themselves if the shoes of other and be empathetic. Additionally, if I factually show you it is Tinubu, of all past Presidents, that has now put together a 3.3 trillion Naira repayment plan to clear debt destroying our power sector, others before him ran up, I can bet you will still be attacking Tinubu as the cause of our electricity woes while praising GEJ or even Buhari and demanding they returns as President. This huge problem they left for Tinubu in the power sector applies to virtually every other critical sector. Buhari sold crude on IOU contracts Tinubu has to pay by supplying Nigerian crude his government cannot get a kobo for because Buhari and his crew had collected hideous amount of money upfront with Nigeria obligated to supply crude in future. Tinubu's government had been massively set-up by all previous Government since 1999. It is the President dedicated to doing the right thing, that will make Nigeria heal properly and make a full recovery, bigoted, ignorant and prejudiced Nigerians are attacking. Nigerians are the most unreasonable people in the world in my opinion. You just don't see that about yourselves. |
Atiku has nothing to offer. A man who is not honourable or fair-minded can never be a good President of Nigeria. People should forget all this manifesto crap. I can use AI, in 10 seconds, to create a manifesto that will wow all Nigerians. OBJ has told us about the self-centred nature of Atiku and nothing has changed. Same man tried to replace his fellow Fulani, Buhari, who had been in power for 8 years meaning Fulanis could have ruled for 16 year uninterrupted had Atiku won in 2023. Who does that in a badly divided nation where men of integrity, and leaders who mean well for Nigeria, must sacrifice for the greater good? Power has to rotate between North and South because both regions are adversarial even as Nigerians won't want to admit that fact and keep fooling themselves with fake 'one Nigeria' unity. Additionally, where are Atiku's private effort to improve the plight of Northerners? SW Leaders that formed and funded Amotekun needed the Presidency to do that? If Atiku is a great leader then it will be obvious because leaders do not need office to lead since leadership is about delivering solutions. Atiku has been seeking to become President for decades now. I need someone to show me a pivotal solution he has delivered for his Adamawa State let alone his Northern region. Does he need the Presidency to form solutions consortiums, consisting Northern leaders in every field of endeavour, for security and socio-economic profress for the North given how troubled the region is? What difference can such a character make as President when we have never seen him making effort to be a solutions provider? |
Streetinvestor2:Childish. You wish bad on others because they don't believe in your fake Agulu messiah. SW will be fine. Worry about your own region. 99.9% of the problems of Nigeria is because we have failed to improve processes and institutions over time. How difficult is it for terrorists to storm schools and torture innocent Nigerians in any State of our nation when our policing is still in the dark ages and not intelligence/tech driven? |
SeverusSnape:Yeah. Shall I send you recruitment link so you too can get some 'data'? |
SeverusSnape:Long and short of your idiocy is that you don't care a dangerous terrorist is dead. Your main issue is that Tinubu and Nigeria, which you people traditionally hate, must not get any credit for this development. |
PulaPower:Lol. Obi should give one single example in his leadership career he has attempted to be a unifying force. Even in Agulu, I am sure he is segregating Catholics and Anglicans etal. |
SeverusSnape:Joker. |
DomPerignon:Lol. Obi thinks we are all Alzheimers patients with memory deficit. |
helinues:You have something charismatic. That's why they are attracted to you and always trying to troll you. Create and register an NGO. Engage and interface with government and use your capacity to be popular to enter Governance. It isn't as hard as people think. |
commoditiesnig:They don't mean Nigeria well at all. One critically effective test of leadership is the ability of leaders, always, to put aside personal interest and support what is in the best interest of society and the people. When have we seen Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso do that? Commendation for the current Government takes nothing away from a genuine leader who means well for Nigeria and is sincerely focused on what is best for Nigerians. |
