nairalanda1:I have always engaged you sincerely. I noticed you are not sincere and that is why I now view you as frivolous. One very bad quality of a man is a failure to say and respect the truth always. You know the power sector very well. I credit you with that. Meaning you know the solutions required. Yet the president doing the best, far more than all others combined since 1999, to work out the problem , with a bottom-up holistic approach, you are always attacking. The Tinubu Government never ran up the trillions in debt GENCOs and DISCOs downed tools over. Yet he is the president who has put together a 3.3 trillion Naira payment package to clear the debt. You know how crucial the creations of cost-reflective tariffs is to incentivising investors with capacity to get involved and deliver stable power that can industrialise and develop Nigeria rapidly. Only Adelabu and Tinubu have attempted to put this in place. All governments, since 1999, chose welfarist and poverty-weaponisation gradualism through use of subsidy in the power sector that is 100% self-destructive and incapable of sorting out our power woes. You know all this and are still deceptive and duplicitous. This means you are comfortable with lying and host an agenda because that is usually the explanation when people know the truth but choose to deny it. |
DomPerignon:Lol. He is more or less that today even. What does he do other than run around talking nonsense, before a microphone and camera, in his shrill and annoying voice? |
DrAkpa:They really are. I just hope many of them don't make life decisions the same way they deliberate on Nigerian politics. |
remirez07:This is a great point you make and a reason why the most critical-thinking and pragmatically intelligent Nigerians will rule out Atiku, Kwankwaso and Obi. Atiku and Kwankwaso are typically conservative Northerners. The sort who have led the North and Northerners into the sorry State both are in today. Obi is a weak and cowardly leader who has fled almost every fight he has faced (folks can check facts of this assertion) meaning he cannot tackle the many monsters determined to ensure Nigeria keeps producing billions.in he Naira and privileges for them, their family and affiliates while over 130 million Nigerians are in poverty when it should not be like that. No other Southern President can do what Tinubu has done. We see the brave reforms of Tinubu the world is praising, to include rewarding our central bank as world central bank of the year 2026, when GEj could not even initiate one pivotal reform be it fuel subsidy removal, State Policing or floating of the Naira etal. Tinubu will win a second term and transform Nigeria immensely. Smart young Nigerians should prepare. I am personally encouraging young Nairalanders (18 to 50) to focus on acquisition of specialist knowledge and specialist-skils. Especially crafted around mastery of using AI for for rapid problem resolution. Do a course on solar power, for example, that will show you how to provide energy solutions for homes and businesses from start to finish. I.e assessing required capacity to professional acquisition of hardware required across the value chain. The future of Nigeria has to be secured by private sector innovation and competitiveness plus free market democracy politics (something Atiku and Kwankwaso will never deliver) and SME proliferation. Any Nigerian, if they are ready, can thrive in that environment I believe only Tinubu can deliver because, say what you will about him, but no one can accuse Tinubu of not giving talent, innovation, creativity and hardwork a chance. |
Kingozymandias:No worries. We pray God spare our lives till January -February 2027. |
DomPerignon:100% correct and the same point I make always that people don't understand. Obidients remind me of the saying by Joseph Goebbels that "A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth". This is what those Obidients extremists have used to bamboozle many gullible Nigerians, including the 'woke Yoruba' jokers like Macaroni and Falz etal, into believing the bog-standard and even factually below average Obi is some sort of never-before-seen Messiah. Anyway, my bro, 2027 is going to end a lot of political careers. You're a sharp guy. If you are interested in Nigerian politics, get involved. There will be loads of new opportunities going forward and I am predicting politics, post 2027, will be about inclusion of a younger cadre of Nigerian politicians to move our nation forward. |
gigabyte13:Don't mind them. They are all wishful thinkers. |
Nwaikpe:My bro, Tinubu, financially or politically, was not really committed to Ribadu or Atiku becoming President when he gave them his Party platform. Everyone knows that's. When a win is crucial, because things have to be achieved, Tinubu always delivers. 2027 even has a dimension beyond Nigeria alone. The past few years has changed the thinking of global leaders about energy and Nigeria's importance to The global availability of it they need. The West does not want Obi or Atiku in power. Tinubu will get away with nearly anything. Mark it down. I personally even believe many Western nations are becoming more predisposed to helping Nigeria split so they can become choice partner to the oil and gas-rich South minus the terrorised North many now view hopeless and destined to morph with the Sahel nation. iSIS second in command, for example, was living in Northern Nigeria and coordinating terror strategy for the Sahel and sub-saharan Africa from our frigging nation. Additionally, with being viewed favourably by the West as "the guy", Tinubu is also strong at home with many political leaders in office on his side financially, politically and per capacity to mobilise. Good luck to whoever you are supporting. |
Nwaikpe:Bruv, what Tinubu achieved in 2023, as an ordinary citizen the Buhari cabal were doing their best to frustrate and keep away from power, was a miracle. Underestimate him, now that he is President, only if you don't know the huge capacity and talent Tinubu has as a Politician. |
nairalanda1:Lol. That's all you have to say? Most of you are not aren't people to take seriously. Fake dude. Probably about less than 5% of people online are upright and stand-up folks. |
olyrayy:No worries. We will see. Not long to go. |
nairalanda1:See your life bro? They are now dragging you. This is what happens when you sit on the fence and pander to emotions and maybe even ethnocentric prejudice against others. I always credit you with being one of the Nairalanders who has a good grasp of the problems with the power sector. You know the fundamental problem of non cost-reflective tariffs that will damn Nigeria to inadequate power supply forever if not resolved. You know the trillions owed to GENCOs and DISCOs, from 2013-2014, Tinubu is the only President that has now commited to pay to boost power supply and increase investor confidence in our now privatised power sector that can only be rescued by investor cash. I therefore expect you to know required solutions to be able to work out it is this current government, since 1999, that is attempting to deliver structurally holistic and sincere solutions. Should you, as an educated and knowledgeable chap, not be one of those promoting the efforts of Adelabu and Tinubu? Yet you are always dragging PBAT pettily. In life, no one is perfect but we must always choose a side. If you don't like everything about Tinubu, you should be intelligent enough to know, today, he is a big part of the solution till the beautiful ones are born. He is genuinely putting in the work. First government, since 1999, to attempt dealing with the fundamentally detrimental issue of non cost-reflective tariff charges which, unresolved, will mean investors will avoid Nigeria's power sector. You are alao knowledgeable enough to know others , since 1999, maintained a regime of subsidizing power and creating 'affordability'. Whereas those subsidies were weaponization of poverty successive governments have used to make Nigerians complacent with how they do not even have 5% of what others have in terms of power supply, infrastructure, credit system, highest quality education, convertible currency, security, healthcare etc, etc. Na all of us go chop breakfast when folks like you refuse to confess the truth because your kinsman is not in charge of the "labour camp". Ahmadu Bello. |
NDC zoning to the South actually helps PBAT. He will clear the South. I believe he will win all six SW States and a few states in the SS plus get required 25% in several SS States. He may likely get 25% in two SE States also. Obi will help diminishing the chances of Atiku getting 25% in any SE State. That is the clincher because Obi is not a threat. Not even a remote chance of him winning Yet Obi will help to frustrates Atiku. It is Atiku and the born-to-rule elements in the North that must not be allowed to sieze power and ridicule the South. Obi will help Tinubu win. Game of thrones for real. The conflict between House Stark and House Lannister in the series kind of reminiscent of the current battle between the South, specifically SW and SS, and the born-to-rule Northern hawks who think they own Nigeria. |
CodeTemplar:Find something to do with your time. Stop stalking others online. It is creepy. |
LottiOk:God bless you. This is a battle for the soul of Nigeria. Gaining results is what is most important in life for individuals, nations, businesses etc. Not everything can be explained to everyone. Obi doesn't matter even as he and Obidients cannot see that. Tinubu will win. 💯%. Everything and everyone that will define the future of Nigeria is behind him . |
Streetinvestor2:Lol. OP is not directing the question to hardcore bigots like you. Of course you'd vote Obi. |
LagosOrigin:😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅🤣😄😄😁😛😛😛😅😅🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😆😆😆😁😁😄😄😄😄😄😅😅😅😅🤣😂🤣😂🤣 |
LeeSmart:Thank you. Have a nice day. |
koxyz:Indeed. Yet which Government since 1999 has attempted to facilitate the bolded in your post more than this current one in power? The two biggest challenges to a fully deregulated and privatised power sector is (1) ability of Nigerians to pay cost-reflective tariffs that will attract investor to rescue our power sector and (2) clearing the trillions of Naira owed to GENCOs and DISCOs that has made them down tools and worsened power supply recently. Adelabu brought in tariff bands, with the intentions of gradually removing subsidy in our power sector,so that investors can be attracted and incentivised to come in and reform our power sector with the promise of returns on investment. ROI. Instead Nigerians, who want power free, because all previous irresponsible Government have treated them like babies to lead them into believing power supply should be free, are calling Adelabu "Minister of darkness". Sad how ignorant the average Nigerian is of the problem of our nation meaning he cannot appreciate solutions required thus making him susceptible to fooliahky and ignorantly believing one Kwankwaso, Obi or Atiku can perform miracles. With debts owed to GENCOs and DISCOs from 2013-2014 to date, claimed to be above 6 trillion Naira, it is President Tinubu who has put a reconciled 3.3 trillion Naira payment plan in place to clear debts previous presidents accumulated to get the power sector moving since liquidity and government integrity and commitment to paying debts in integral to attracting investors. We then have to ask why few Nigerians know the above, as some of us do, yet they will go online to ask for a return of OBJ, GEJ and even Buhari who are the cause of the problem Tinubu is dedicatedly and resolutely trying to overcome. Moniepoint CEO talked about comparatively low intelligence quotient of Nigerians and I believe he has a point. Where we differ is my belief Nigerians can make the effort, and succeed, to be more knowledgeable if they commit to searching for knowledge instead of always following frivolities, sentiments, ethno-religious jingoism and emotions. |
CodeTemplar:You're drunk and incoherent already? It is not evening yet. Change your life bruv. |
Lol. Sowore the biggest drama king, joker and fifth columnist in Nigeria. He understands the script well. We are in a social media and visual culture age. The more you make yourself visually controversial, the more majority of human beings will have strong opinions about you leading to popularity and trending visibility. Even if you are totally empty and worthless as Sowore is. |
Streetinvestor2:Call Tinubu what you want. Fact is that he is naturally a proper and fitting leader. Obi is not. Never will be . No matter of image laundering can turn an ant (Obi) into an Alligator. |
Burob:Don't mind him. Work to remove Tinubu for who? These people are so arrogant. |
WhiteIverson:Cool. That's your opinion. The fact is that he is the leader of the biggest black nation in the world. In life, every man is entitled to his opinion while facts shape our universe. |
truthera:Yeah. Enjoy your Sunday. Chill and hang out with your wife/girl. Get some. You need it. |
FSBoperator:God bless you. Ben Akabueze etal too. The only people never interested in history na those lot because documented history discredits and indicts them of long-standing wrongdoing and hypocrisy they are still guilty of today. I laugh when they try to launder Obi's image as a tolerant leader who loves all Nigeria while seeking to portray Tinubu as a "Yorubanisation" bigot. What is history, that shows who did what, meant to teach us if not how to be more progressive? My bro, I seriously despair for Nigeria with how many Nigerians are simply too bigoted, prejudiced and emotional to work with facts and reality

Ddeliverer007:😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😁😁😁😁😁😄😄😄😄😄😄😅😅😅🤣 |
truthera:Dictate other users opinion how? Can't you take constructive advice from others? Apathy is what is killing Nigerians. Many will read your post and be worried for you. Yet they'll say nothing. You should thank people like me who know the value of saying our minds when we believe such can help our fellow men. A competent court of law convicted Kanu of criminal conduct against society based on solid evidence. Accept that and move on. You accuse me of all sorts. Yet you don't know how you appear insisting Kanu is "innocent" and a "freedom fighter" when he has been convicted by the legal system. What happens to society if we all start claiming every conviction against our kinsmen is wrong and declaring them innocent? |
