They way you Southerners reason and talk, perhaps because you hate each other, is the reason insecurity has now become a major problem for Nigeria.

Security is the duty of all. This disgraceful Paul Ibe is working for Atiku and the North when we do not see any effort from the leaders (political , cultural, military, religious etc) of the region to tackle insecurity.

Insecurity in the North is a system of tacit support and funding of terrorism and banditry at all levels. The women who enter the forest to treat the wounds of bandits, feed them food and information plus have sex with them are going to be stopped how?

No Southerner, if we know how to think and seek solutions, should be making any demand other than insisting Northern leaders at all levels, move to fight and end terror emanating from their communities.

Look at how the Yorubas, as usual, have been example moving to fight insecurity they did not cause yet the North, that has blighted with terrorism and banditry, appears disinterested in tackling the bandits and terrorists amongst them they know very well?

Check below the list of rtd Generals who stepped up to head Amotekun and fight insecurity in the SW. Where is the effort of their Northern equivalent? You Southerners, starting with the likes of Paul Ibe, are disappointing with how you think, talk and attack yourselves yet can never face those who are the real problem and must be tackled for insecurity to end or reduce drastically.

Police intercept truck loaded with military camouflage, rescue 38 foreign nationals

The Lagos State Police Command yesterday showcased a truck intercepted while conveying military camouflage uniforms and substances suspected to be illicit drugs.

The command also dismantled a notorious one-chance robbery syndicate, rescued dozens of foreign nationals from possible mob action and recovered firearms and other crime-related exhibits across the state.

Operatives of the command intercepted an unregistered MAN diesel truck loaded with 47 sacks of military camouflage uniforms and 80 cartons of substances suspected to be illicit drugs.

Also recovered were 14 firearms, four live cartridges, one operational motorcycle, 51 mobile phones suspected to be proceeds of crime, two vehicle Engine Control Units (ECUs) and 80 cartons of suspected illicit substances.

Three suspects identified as Ifeanyi Ogbeanyi, 45; Chinedu David, 29; and Ezeagwu Chukwuma, 38, were arrested and taken into custody.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, said the development underscored the command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing and public safety.

“We have made tremendous achievements. We have recovered arms, ammunition and other exhibits. I believe it is important to make the public aware of these recoveries and showcase them,” he said.

Fatai disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed that the truck was headed for a destination in the eastern part of the country.

The commissioner said investigations were ongoing to determine the intended use of the uniforms.

“For me, it does not pose any immediate threat to Lagos State because the items were being moved out of the state. However, considering the current security situation in the country and the fact that we have seen people wearing such uniforms in various criminal activities, we cannot rule anything out. Investigations are ongoing to get to the root of the matter,” he said.

I am the Nairalander who has always insisted the North must be ostracised and taking to task because many across the region, leaders and followers, are in bed with terror.

I am glad the Oodua Nationalist Coalition has now formally outlined what I have always insisted about the core North.

The North has no business seeking the Presidency. All of them, leaders and followers, should declare a state of emergency on fighting and decimating the terrorists amongst them if they are sincere.

The rest of us can insist they shape up or we will walk away and they won't be able stop us. It will simply be same as how Sudan fragmented.

It's going to happen anyway. Inevitable if all the North wants to continue to be about is death and destruction.

Nigerian police officers if they stop you in your vehicle, are mainly decent once they understand you are law-abiding and upright. Have all your documents intact and up to date.
