Yoweri Museveni looks same in many of his pictures online, as an old man of 80 he is, meaning nothing at all makes this picture different or special. How else is he supposed to look at 80 plus? Like Kanye West?

Ibechris2:Did you not notice the ex senator distinction of this decampee? It is all ex this and ex that joining ADC. Ex AGF, ex Aviation Minister, ex legislator (like Ishaku Elisha Abbo and Dino Melaye), ex Vice president, Ex Governors, ex Minster etc, etc. No current political office holder with money, clout, grassroot sagacity and capacity to mobilise with official efficiency for ADC . Come on dude. You guys need to wake up and smell the coffee na. Na beg I dey beg una. ADC is a Party many have one leg in and the other in PDP, Labour, APC etc because they know a congregation of has-beens and IDPs (internally displaced/disgruntled politicians) is not one they can gamble their political future on. Sule Lamido said he supports ADC but cannot leave PDP to join it because he cannot fit into a "smaller skin". What does that Statement tell a wise man other than illustrate the reality smart folk, to include those ready to do anything to see Tinubu deposed, know that ADC is an unfit joke. The only folks who will join ADC fully and committedly are failed and drowning politicians who have no rescue boat in sight and view ADC their sink or swim final destination. Like Malaysia, Mami, Babachir Lawal, Hadi Sirika. Even Ireti Kingibe mouthing off , when is she leaving PDP to joing ADC and be the Party's first sitting Senator? ADC is already looking finished before it has even got going. Tinubu will clear 2027 easily. In fact ridicousky easily because Atiku is not a talented politician that leaders who have clout and valuable things to lose, like political office, will follow to risk it all. Please tag me when one single politician in public office currently, like a Governor or Senator, joins ADC. |
Rexymania:Lol. So vigilante work, carrying rifles, is the employment they have for teenagers in Ala Igbo these days? Do you know how messed up that sounds? Kudos to the SE sha. Big salute to people of the SE especially as they will be always absent on a thread like this, like Peter Obi, to be spitting fire and thunder on Lagos Street renaming threads.😎 |
press9jatv:Really tragic how young they look. I.e 13 to 16. This is how things began in Mexico. Proliferation of guns, drugs and weapons in poor and deprived areas with high illiteracy and limited opportunity. Even Chimamanda Adichie, always blindly and staunchly defensive of Igbos misdeeds in the past, is now deflated and had to lament publicly about ala Igbo recently. Well, they have Ohamadike Kanu And Autopilot Messiah Ekpa and co to thank. So tragic and so predictable. Yet they followed their hate preachers blindly. I will pray for them sha. 😎 |
madridguy:Fulanis for where? That lie it is Fulanis committing atrocities in ala Igbo has long been dispelled same as the fake and discredited garbage Buhari died in 2017 and was replaced by Jubrin from Sudan. It is Igbo on Igbo crime bro. 💯%. You can see how young those boys with guns look to see the horror, as we warned would happen, Igbos have unleashed on themselves. Yet they all keep pleading and praying for the architects of this lunacy, i.e Kanu and Ekpa, to be freed. |
Shawarmagirl:What height exactly has Obi's son achieved that is so desirable and laudable to you if not that some of you are 'low hanging fruits' with low standards and self-esteem issues? Even with his acting thingy, that literally millions worldwide are trying to succeed at, has he reached the level of Chiwetel Ejiofor of David Oyelowo for this your sycophantic praise of him? Boy is a struggling actor trying to get gigs in even small audience stage plays and you are here casting him before the world thinking you are talking down on others. |
Afonjacoward:He is appealing to the right type of Northerners who are sensible, honourable and always tend to do the right thing. Not unprincipled anywhere-belle-face IDPs .i.e internally displaced/disgruntled politicians like Malami, Melaye, Hadi Sirika, Babachir Lawal etal. |
Afonjacoward:Will will see na. The North is not made up of the early or most vocal noisemaker alone and one would have thought 2023 should have shown you people that fact. Obi's time is gone. He will never be President. He knows it deep down and this is why he is begging and making pledges he does not have to plus meeting characters like Sheik Gumi , Malami etal. Commonsense shows Obi is done because his Impressionable Obidients worshippers see him affiliating with and grovelling before those they believed he is seeking the Presidency to fight and dismiss ( the likes of the likes of Gumi, Malami, Hadi Sirika, Babachir Lawal etal) so that Nigeria can flourish. Instead Obi is now pleading to be the leader of their gang. What next for Obi? Lunch with Bello Turji? His desperation is off-putting and his insincerity crystal clear. Make it make sense bro. |
All this grovelling and sycophantic talk from Obi is for his paymasters in the North. If you feel you deserve to be President then you don't beg as Asiwaju showed when he called out Buhari openly in Abeokuta showing the wounded pride of a leader who knows he has done his part to then be faced with what may be treachery from those not devoted to keeping to their word as gentlemen must. Till today, people misunderstand the 'emilokan' talk of PBAT. It was not an assertion of entitlement but a demand to the APC North that I have done for you and it is my turn to get your support in the spirit of one good turn deserves another. Obi, in contrast, has always been a dobale type of grovelling leader and always will be. The irony is that, upon his shameless begging, those who still matter in the North will support Tinubu to win because they know he did his part to help the North gain 8 years in Aso Rock and will 💯% leave Aso Rock in 2031. They know better than to gamble on the pledge of a man who swore "the day I leave APGA is the day I die". |
aswani:That is their default modus operandi. I.e deploying insults and/or whataboutism when floored by factually superior argument of others. |
esnbrutality:It becomes "long stories" when others discombobulate and deconstruct you lot with verified and superior facts/argument that highlight your patently unreasonable nature. You guys are in your own separate 'cloud space' entirely and it is why you cannot see what a joke you appear over the Biafra issues. |
Gerhards:You should find out who Jonathan and his household are supporting today to note whether or not it is Tinubu giving the Bayelsa Governor 3 to 5 times more allocation than they have ever recieved, even with 13% derivation, and has delivered SSDC (south South development commisions) to exist alongside NDDC while generously committing his government to fund the two development commission for one region alone while others have one only. You lot don't know leaders think differently to you followers whose mindset are heavily compromised by emotions, ethno-religious bigotry, and prejudiced hatred of others. State and national Leaders, broadly, support the President making it easier for Nigerians and their own people, at State level, to be better off. You will need to explain how any Southern leaders will feel that the Presdent to support passionately iis not Tinubu who has proven, beyond words and rhetoric, his dedication to empowering all Nigerian States and region to do far bette. Tinubu js providing Governors vastly greater amount of money to work with and, has, unprecedented in the history of Nigeria, as I am sure no Northern President will contemplate, created development commision for every region of Nigeria the FG is proving working funds for. You are likely a political follower. If I am coreect then you'd be more effective at that if you can try to see thing from the perspective of leaders to note how they would think and act. You must ask yourself why GEJ or any South South leader, after producing the majority of income that supports Nigeria through their crude oil endowment, will reject the Presisent who has empowered their region best and treated them most fairly, even far more than GEJ, of all Preisdents we have had since 1999. Be fooling yourself SS Governors joining APC and Tinubu are playing politics rather than pledging allegiance to someone they see is, since 1999, their undisputed champion able to fight their fight for them at federal level and get them a better deal for being the goose laying the golden egg for Nigeria. |
ruzell86:GEJ had one term of 4 years plus 1 year as substantive President , before that, meaning he had been in power a total of five years before the 2015 election yet seeking four more years that would have made it 9 years in total which is even more than the two term.of 8 years all Presidents are constitutionally and normally limited to serving bar the intervention of fate unexpectedly with the death of Yar Adua. If people like you don't understand what some Southern leaders had to do for peace to reign, appeasing a people who do not even like to be out of power for a minute yet had to endure 5 years without it under GEJ and courtesy of the death of Yar Adua, then it may be you have not reached the requisite level of seeing the truth about Nigerian politics. I.e you don't understand that, pragmatically, politics of Nigeria is very different to thay of other nations of the world with so much "balancing' required to placate many to include those who parade as democratic leaders by day but can be supporters of murderous actions and restiveness when they feel deprived and cheated. I even mentioned it to another poster with your line of argument of "Tinubu and Southerners ousted GEJ from power" how you guys can reconcile your allegation with the position of GEJ himself today and even his wife. Is it not obvious they know, even as they cannot admit it publicly, that Tinubu is not the enemy and acted in the greater interest of what is best for the peace and unity of Nigeria? https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/why-jonathan-wont-run-against-tinubu-in-2027-patience/%3famp Wife of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, has ruled out the possibility of her husband joining the 2027 presidential race to contest against President Bola Tinubu.
|
esnbrutality:Bro, try, for once in your life, to arise above myopic pettiness to see the big picture if at all you have even one progressive bone in your body. Put aside your vindictive beef against the SW to understand the South, for the sake of your generations unborn, must always insist a Southerner begin and complete the 8 years turn of the South. You are just showing pettiness and a distinct incapacity to see what matters most, as all progressive-minded folks can , if you don't understand that it is under a Southern President Nigeria has the chance to make greatest progress that would even positively influence the North to embrace positive and beneficial reform to become better rather than the basket case of Nigeria and Africa. Most of the negative statistics against Nigeria, I.e highest poverty rate and poor human development index, are as a result of the overwhelming contribution of the North to those depressing figures. We must always remember that the North is led by Northern leaders exclusively at all levels, yet what have they delivered for Northerners in comparison to what Southern leaders have delivered for their people. There should be no talk of a Northerner leading in 2027, especially a Fulani, regardless of the political cold war between Yorubas and Igbos if both are people who are pragmatically intelligent enough to discern what matter most. |
atiku4President:Keep talking irresponsibly without realising OP is 100% correct. Was GEJ utilising the legitimate turn of the South or did he inherit the turn of the North, Courtesy of the death of Yar Adua, that OBJ had honourably facilitated by ensuring a Northerner replaced him? After 5 years in power and wanting to make it 9 in total, on the slot the North, no one should move against the selfish GEJ many supported to spend that five years in power so that he would step down for the North in the interest of what is best for the peace and unity of Nigeria? The selfish action of one or a few individual has changed history horrendously and negatively for million throughout the ages. Ask Hitler, Ojukwu, Kaduna Nzeogwu etal the horrendous impact of their actions on Germans and Igbos for a lenghtily enduring period of time. When the worst happens in future then people like you should own up to accept the side of affairs you stood on. The Yorubas won't accept to remain bowed or cowered in a nation where they played their part, under OBJ and then Tinubu's ACN coalition with the North, to deliver for the North when it was their turn to lead. Once the treacherous precedence has been set that only the North can lead when they please, Fulanis precisely, because they have decides to abandon honour and equitable conduct, as Atiku is attempting, then the Yoruba will quit being the reasonable peacemakers they have always been to be constant agitators for their own autonomy whether as region or as a separate nation. This is 2025 and an information age where it will be horrible for Nigeria to be held captive under the retrogressive rule of Northerners perpetually and unrelentingly The North should support a Southern candidate against Tinubu if issues for them is genuinely about poor performance from the current government because such cannot be an excuse for them to hijack power from the South when such was never attempted against them under the disastrous and very damaging rule of Buhari. |
esnbrutality:"Unity begging"? That you continue to trot out this insincere and hugely discredited garbage, totally at odds with the reality of Nigeria today, is proof of the duplicity and hidden agenda of you lot. For one, why are you lot not uncompromsingly charging your legislators, who continue to collect Nigerian salary and emoluments , like the hypocritical Biafra senator Abaribe, to lead the charge for constitutional amendment to allow the secession you claim to want? Sane people know that secession for any region remains impossible without constitutional amendment courtesy of Azikiwe's greed for central control of Nigerian power and resources that made him oppose and defeat Awolowo's push for a secession clause to be included in our constitution so that regions can leave Nigeria amicably when they desire. When you shout Biafra daily and shun the need to push for constitutional amendment that will grant you your own nation, is that not proof of the saying "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again to expect a different outcome"? Secondly how can balanced and objective observes, whether then be Britons or Ghanaians and Kenyans, reconcile that fact that a people who claim to want their own nation, and number circa 40 million people, have probably over 15 million Igbos living in the regions of others they insist they need their own nation to be away from? Is it that you don't have examples of how people serious about secession worldwide behave to draw inspiration from so you know what sincere push for independent nationhood should resemble? I could go on all day but suffice to say no one takes your Biafra noise seriously because your insincerity and duplicity, that undermines your claims of Biafra as nothing but cheap gaslighting of others, is glaring. It is why no one , globally, reckons with your Biafra noise whereas the world knows the Yorubas will achieve what is shown below soon and many decades after you lot have been shouting Biafra redundantly, insincerely and duplicitously.

PulaPower:Indeed. It is instructive that some people have not changed their covetously malevolent and expansionist disposition over decades now. The reason for this, from their historical behaviour, is easy to deduce which is that at the core of their belief system is the megalomanic delusion they were put on Earth to subjugate and dominate others in their own SE domain and beyond all the way to other regions of Nigeria and even other African nations etal. |
Ddeliverer007:He is. Regardless of what he did in the past, and as applies to all human beings, you will always be judged on your present conduct. When El Rufai, unnecessarily and as a fundamentalist hardliner would announce, in regards to PBAT, that he want to "help remove the evil he foisted on Nigeria" do you support that disgraceful talk? His son, controversially, has just announce on twitter certain Nigerian leaders need to "klai" for Nigeria to improve. Are those utterances, and much more coming from this family lately, not rabble rousing? By all means they can support the effort to oust Tinubu. It is their free choice. Why do such with so much venomous and inciteful utterances sure to heat up the politiy irresponsibly? Oga, learn to speak the truth and shame the devil abeg. There is no excuse at all for the way the EL Rufai family are going about opposition politics as if it must be prosecuted in a murderous and malevolently toxic manner. The bigger picture shows, for intelligent folks, these are a people comfortable threatening political opponents with death, and in a not so subtle manner, terrorism. One has to ask whether it is because such is what they believe in and have deployed to then be comfortable serially threatening others with publicly.

dederocs:God bless you ojare. The very point I have made above while they, the constant and most bitter detractors of Lagos and her public administrators, cannot offer similar in their five plots of land. They have made their regions net deficits to Nigeria currently yet the SW is an asset to Nigeria with how she has , in a troubled time, not worsened to become incapable of offering everything Nigerians need to thrive, be that employment and comparative peace/security, as the North and SE have. |
ElSudani:God bless you. Look at Gbenga Daniel highlights how Yorubas are endangering themselves because they continue to behave most commendably, of the four major ethnic groups, to foster peace, unity and 'one Nigeria' welcoming character leading all and sundry to now be moving to the SW in droves and indicating future problems for indigenes. What Nairaland Forumers should ask themselves is, if they choose to relocate from the SS, SW or North Central today, whether Anambra, Imo or Zamfara, Borno etal wil be their preferential first choice whereas the SW, along with the SS, remains the first choice of most Nigerians today. In other words, those causing the most socio-economic problems for all Nigeria , i.e the terrorised SE and Core North, are the most unreasonably critical of what they view "Yoruba leadership" of Nigeria today without seeing they and their land offer nothing to the workability or glory of 'one Nigeria' currently. The North will brag and blackmail with agriculture without being reasonable enough to understand it is the terrorism they groomed, while the SW was growing as a relatively peaceful and welcoming region for socio-economic activities, that has virtually ruined food sufficiency for us all as farmers cannot farm optimally. They are blackmailing Tinubu today over insecurity, citing that as an excuse for demanding he leaves in 2027, yet we know PBAT is tasked with finding solutions to the existential security problem the North caused for all Nigeria over decades now. They have made their regions net deficits to Nigeria currently yet the SW is an asset to Nigeria with how she has , in a troubled time, not worsened to become incapable of offering everything Nigerians need to thrive, be that employment and comparative peace/security, as the North and SE have. The ingratitude of the two biggest troublemakers towards the SW is too much and Yorubas are observing their ungrateful and unreasonable mien silently. They can leave to go to the SW today and begin thriving tomorrow yet which person from the SW wants to go the other way currently? Abi OP can move permanently Zamfara or Borno today without reservation? This is why Yoruba intelligentsia class, though not louding it, are now seriously focused on regional autonomy because we know 'one Nigeria' is not fair to us and regions like the SS and North Central. It is cheating and punishing us in favour of those who inordinately and undeservedly draw the most advantages from 'one Nigeria' yet continue to be the most ungratefu terrorised, menacing and socio-economically lagging members of the Union. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/south-west-on-course-to-be-home-for-50-nigerians-2050-senator/%3famp

Ddeliverer007:These things aren't Rocket Science even if you make it appear as such. 2023 was Obi's best chance and he lost. Northern leaders, who are very influential, not loquacious rabble Rousers like the El Rufai lot, will never support an Obi they know will certainly hanker for second term regardless of any pledge he makes. They know a man claiming he can turn around Nigeria in even a year or two is highly dishonest, very desperate and never to be trusted. Better to simply support Asiwaju to complete his second term so that the North can take over legitimately in 2031 and, crucially, be supported by the SW to have two terms as was the case with Buhari. |
aswani:Lol, for very good reason too. Which is that it is only one ethnic group of people who have an inordinate sense of entitlement wherever they go. Be that Ghana ,Kenya, Cape Town, China etal. This is because they wish to dominate, and not assimilate, wherever they find themselves hence will always remain dissatisfied with whatever their host do as long as they have not gained full control of the land. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/105036-how-the-igbo-introduced-tribalism-to-nigerian-politics-by-femi-fani-kayode.html?tztc=1
|
@OP. You guys are never happy unless fighting something or someone. Lagos is what she is because of several strategic advantages other States don't have and cannot have so your lamentation is merely a waste of your own time. |
iceking4:The YouTube video stated it as "hijacking". I was quoting the word. Not my opinion per SE but it is not exactly a great departure from commandeering what belongs to someone else and refusing to pay for it. |
Emmanueloo:The hypocrisy of Northern leaders is fascinating to watch and nauseating to the senses at the same time. Their silence at the monumental misrule of Buhari, while very vocal over a pin dropping from table of Tinubu, is proof this nation is gone and we are just fooling ourselves pretending to be one. Smart folks should start preparing for what is shown below that is inevitable. Crucially, Northern leaders know 'one Nigeria' is on her death bed but they are upset they have not prepared for it's funeral and have now been caught badly lacking as the region most underdeveloped and unprepared for the "to your tent O Isreal" inevitable future of Nigeria no force can Stop. Obvious what the North will attempt to do when next power is with them. Smart Southern regions will start working on their own socio-economic freedom today.
|
Afonjacoward:You lot made noise online for decades. Now that sh1t got real, you are crying and denying. The issue , I.e regional autonomy, is a matter of inevitable socio-economic evolution nothing can stop. Go and prepare for it and stop coming here to make noise. |
Afonjacoward:That is how you lot get yourself in trouble with your offensive utterances. Having investments in Lagos means you are superior to a Yorubas from anywhere in the SW? Does it need to be spelled out to you that you lot will effectively be going back to zero the more power is decentralised to give indigenes more socio-economic control over their region? Siddons here dey drag Lagos with Ogbomosho man instead of going to prepare for the inevitable. Moghalu's wife even begged you people to invest away from Lagos and the SW yet your greed and covetousness will not allow you heed her advice. As they say "a Dog destined to be lost will not hear the hunter's whistle". |
Raskimonojendor:Lol. You even have time debunking their cowardly attempt at damage limitation. No sane Nigerian doubt that the term "no man's land", in relation to Lagos, originated from and belongs to them. They even used it proudly , since Nairaland came into existence, for over a decade on this forum to mock Yorubas. The issue now is that since 2023 Lagos gubernatorial election, when MC Oluomo and co dealt with them, plus ongoing developments today in Lagos checking their influence and noise, they now realise Yorubas they gleefully mocked as "cowards" aren't playing around. That is why they no longer use the lagos is "no man's land" taunt and are now trying to distance themselves from it with shameless revisionism. They are a people who match the adage "act in haste, repent at leisure". They act hastily only to start grovelling when in trouble and haven offended others. |
Softmirror:I swear. Lagos and those lot na die. Shame, by their own braggart mouth, they have now precipitated a new age of Yoruba Conservative that won't be diminishing anytime soon. |
Softmirror:Precisely. I am passionately Nigerian and defensive of law-abiding Nigerians anywhere in the world. Yet we need to do a lot of things better when away from home. Foreign diplomatic representation of Nigerians is something we are getting horribly wrong. We need ambassadorial and diplomatic leaders in the diaspora who will be good at supporting Nigerians and , crucially, also interfacing with them regularly , perhaps through appointed volunteer representatives in areas with high number of Nigerians, to sensitive them of the needs to be legal, law-abiding and productive. We need to invest decent money in liason offices abroad, where our people reside in large numbers, hosting expert advisors for Nigerians in the diaspora on skill acquisition, considerations of law, housing/homelessness issues etc, etc. We just don't offer our people anything and it it a big problem. What Nigerians don't understand is that our glory comes from what we do well as individuals and not as a group of people or a nation. As a group of people and nation, we are all over the place. That must change if Nigerians and Nigeria want to be a meritoriously great people and nation respectively. |
Nonexisting1:You deliberately omitted his wrongdoing which won't be accepted anywhere in Nigeria. I don't agree with the xenophobic noise and mocking of the man but that will happen when a mob gathers. Lynchings even happen in Nigeria, till now, when angry and prejudiced mob gather to delivery summary judgement. If his eviction follows a court order then he is responsible for his own public disgrace and dragging , after failing to pay rent nor bills since 2017, as long as he has not been physically harmed which would then extend into xenophobic assault. You cannot gaslight Nigerians to be blindly behind him and against South Africans. |
