TheFreshVanilla:Best comment here. Well-said. Imagine Hadi Sirika, Nigerian Air scammer, and Babachir Lawal, grass-cutting looter, being prominent ADC affiliates of Atiku promising to "rescue" Nigeria? |
Konquest:Fantastic. Nigeria is drowning under an overwhelming barrage of fake news many sponsored agents of terror, ethno-religious intolerance and born-to-rule desperation believe they can use to control the narrative against those they wish to depose. This is the way forward for a nation full of wayward people not interested in whats is best for the greater good of all yet will continue to shout against "leadership misrule" hypocritically. Engage this guy in in discussion, in a bar for example, and I am sure he will prattle on non-stop about how leaders are evil , deceitful etc, etc. Yet look at what he has done deliberately with conscious awareness, What will this e-terrorist and fake news propagandist do if in a powerful leadedship position? |
aswani:We don't need anyone to donate to us. Never have and never will. Please note that it is stated that Obi spent N540m on donations between January and July 2025. The date show a period after Obi had contested to be President of all Nigerians and is planning to contest again to be President. The point is that anyone seeking to lead Nigeria should be pan-Nigerian by all criteria of judgement that establishes such. I.e their philanthropic donation, should reflect conscious love and consideration for all regions of Nigeria. Their religious tolerance and support should be for all faiths. Their outlook and speech should show they see every Nigerian individual and region always. They should not engage in partisanly commenting on minor negative developments in the region of others alone while ignoring the daily and major existential challenges in their own region of origin. My comment on Obi's donation is therefore not about the need of Yorubas for such monetary assistance. Yorubas are some of the most kind-hearted and generous Nigerians in regards to looking after their own, and even others, as shown by the recent phenomenon of Yorubas leaders funding the medical treatments of some prominent non-Yoruba individual who have fallen on hard times with their own people disinterested in assisting. I wrote what I did to show what is another proof, of many that has been validated, affirming Obi is nothing but a confirmed ethno-religious bigot unfit to lead Nigeria that is a cosmopolitan aggregation of many ethnic groups, cultures and religions. What you fail to understand is that I dont hold that Obi's donations to regions should be same in value. The central point is that it must not be disproportionate to the extent it is zero % for the SW. Nothing mitigates for that. Given Obi's historical actions that objective and knowledgeable Nigerians are aware of, that I can even list several of easily here and now, it is clear what the pattern of Obi's donation shows. |
descarado:Was Tinubu President when all SW Governors united to demand regional autonomy in 2021? Please think before you rush to post. Yorubas are the only one, of the four major ethnic groups , who do not have an obsessive desire for Presidential power. History proves this with how, for example, Awolowo demanded secession clause, to allow all regions secede amicably should they desire to do that, and Azikiwe rejected it. We know too that Igbos started the culture of "winner takes all" coup because of their desire to always lead others with the equally hegemonistic North responding with an initial counter coup and further coups to then even become more power obsessed than all other Nigerian regions. History also verifies, after hosting regional governance a lot of progress was made under, Aguyi Ironsi, an Igbo military administrator, truncated regjonal autonomy with his unification decree. There is no point in history Yorubas have departed from operating with the omoloubi ethos of "te mi tò mi" i.e I am satisfied with what I have. This is not about the Presidency orTinubu. The Yorubas have shown, since 2013 with the formal advent of the DAWN commission and their production of the SW regional integration "Road map" document, they want nothing more than to be able to independently control the socio-economic power that influences the growth and development of the SW. From the days of Awolowo, we have always rejected the centrist model of governance whereby ultimate and defining power, without requisite freedom for regions, is vested wholly in the federal Government. Even today, and factually, it is Tinubu, a Yoruba man, who has initiated by far t he most governance policies to decentralise power away from the control of the FG since our current democracy began in 1999. No President, since 1999, has consciously fought foe autonomy for local Governaments as PBAT has done. FACT. You can keep lying to yourself that this thread and how Yorubas are talking is about the bolded in your post. You do such simply because you and your kinsmen have not reached the level of sophisticated thinking the Yorubas operate with to note there is absolutely no hope in 'one Nigeria' that is a total dead end destination for Nigeria and all Nigerians. You should tell us what your Governors were doing when Yoruba Governors did what is shown below in 2021 when Buhari, and not Tinubu, was President.

Baronthecelebri:How many times must people like you be told constitutional amendment, which is unlikely to ever be secured, is required to "divide the Country"? Why not back the option that is possible? One that Nigeria has hosted before and is essentially the division of the Country in all but name? I.e regional governance? It is only kids who keep asking parents for what cannot be delivered. Adult look for options and alternatives. |
UncleAyo:Indeed. In fact the whole lunacy ongoing in the SE is not challenged robustly by the most affluent and influential from the region because they have options. Peter Obi, Orji Kalu, Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana, Jowizaza, E-Money etal can simply remain in and operate from their Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt base without feeling the pressure to address what is wrong in ala Igbo and making it uninhabitable to the extent Igbos are fleeing. You are 100% correct that lack of regional autonomy, whereby it is indigenes first, portends a very dangerous future for a very disunited people who are irrevocably different and lack homogeneity of socio-economic outlook. It is a recipe for disaster. A pressure cooker brewing and about to blow. |
UrPapa:Try to see the big picture for once. This is not about division for the sake of division alone. It is about making people, in a nation, hosting many ethnic groups who are disunited and covert enemies of each other, accept responsibility for their own development at regional level. That is what is best for our nation rather than continuation of 'One Nigeria ' that is merely an invitation for those lucky enough to gain the Presidency to use the position to feed fat on the resources of the nation for themselves and direct ethnic, religious and political affiliates . What is better than sharing resources of Nigeria equitably, while making sure direct owners of the resources gain respectful premiums for their asset, to then put Nigerians in charge of their own socio-economic growth and development at regional level? Obvious that model of governance will allow all regions evolve as quickly as they wish to rather than this confused and idiotic 'one Nigeria'contraption where no region or people of Nigeria are doing anywhere near as well as they should be.
|
UncleAyo:Indeed. Anything else is unfair to those doing the right things. Gbenga Daniel broke with protocol to bravely shun political correctness and make this point when he warn against the developmental challenge the SW will face, for being a region doing what is right better than others, to the extent we may host 50% of the entire Nigerian population in the near future. Others, like the North and SE, responsible for insecurity, terrorism and hideous misrule troubling Nigeria the most, leading to Igbos and Northerners deserting the SE and North enmasse for the SW, are same people insisting they must lead Nigeria and not a "Yoruba President". Yorubas need to understand that, along with the SS and North Central, we are a region doing the right things that incorrigibly aberrant folks will seek to force themselves on rather than reform so that that their own land of origin is fit for them to remain in and build optimally satisfying lives in. To that end, and to preserve the best interest of our generations unborn, we must move uncompromisingly to gain regional autonomy so that all Nigerians, in every regions, begin to understand the concept of "charity begins at home". As Daniel warns, the SW cannot continue with what obtains today where those who cannot fight for the delivery of peace, security and better socio-economic development in their region, under their own leaders, remain totally free, because of 'one Nigeria', to instantly relocate to the SW, SS etal to burden indigenes there. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/south-west-on-course-to-be-home-for-50-nigerians-2050-senator/%3famp

Fully in support. This is the only way forward for Nigeria. |
zebra:Was Jonathan utilising the legitimate turn of the South, as Tinubu is doing today, to attempt spending 9 years in power against Northerners who don't play with power and fundamentally resent being without it for even a day? OBJ did the right and equitable thing supporting a Northerner to become President, after him, in respect of the power rotation agreement. GEJ was a 'lucky' beneficiary of fate who gained 5 years in power on the slot of the North that is a region, the most of any in Nigeria, always restive and disruptive out of power. Should that 5 years as President, GEJ never dreamed would be his when he became VP to Yar Adua, not be enough for any honourably man dedicated to doing what is best for over 200 million people rather than putting his own individual ambition as paramount above that of all others? Some of you should try to be less emotional and operate more with the principle of seeing things from the perspective of others rather than thinking your viewpoint and desires alone are superior. Just, peaceful and progressive societies can never evolve with your type of mindset. |
Konquest:Real talk baba. Look at the 9 serial kidnappers gunned down, out a crew of 11, at Ladipo in Mushin Lagos who are all from the SE, to in include a nollywood actor, who specialised in murderous criminal activity in Lagos away from their SE domain. Only them and Fulanis operate like that. No Yoruba gangs troubling Abuja and no Tiv or Urhobo organised criminality troubling the North because today, and factually, the master of exported criminality in Nigeria are Igbos and Fulanis. The reason they reject the likes of Soludo, Umahi, Igbokwe, Nwabufo etal as leaders or voices to follow is because the world view leanings of those guys charge Igbo to be peaceful, humble and respectful partners in development to others. That message does not sit well with them as the ethno-religious bigots and "winner takes all" supremacists majority of them are. They prefer the instructions of hate preachers like Kanu who tell them the problem is with "outsiders" and that Igbos are God's own chosen and superior 'Jews' ordained to "dominate" others as their forefathers like Azikiwe and Charles Onyeama similarly preached. For over six decades now, the script has not changed. It is the same predictable cycle of Igbos always listening to their hate preachers and ethnic supremacist to then suffer catastrophic losses. I don't see the status quo changing anytime soon because the abberancy is genetic and that is something nothing can cure for those who understand the science. |
omenka:Bro, dem don all begin dey chop breakfast as Burna boy sang. They can no longer make excuses because the Likes of Chimamanda now accept their land flows red with blood courtesy of Igbo on Igbo crime that recalcitrant and hardcore bigots continue to deny in preference for pointing fingers at Fulanis and "outsiders". Cubana Chief Priest even totally broke rank to admit most Igbo big men have fled the SE for the SW and other places as they are targets of robbery, assassination and kidnapping from.other Igbos who are "envious" of their wealth and success. Yet how is all we are seeing today not tediously predictable when Igbos, of their own free will, backed Kanu's lunacy that proposed freeing dullardly criminals, cultist, killers and dregs of society, who will never amount to anything, from prison and giving them guns and authority to become unofficial leaders of the SE to be cowering Governors and gunning down Chike Akunyili and other Igbo prominent sons down in the streets like Rats. The chicken has now come home to roost. You were a vocal and prominent member of this forum when they were praising UGM and ESN jail break in the SE that saw many monsters let loose on the street of Ala Igbo. So therefore you will remember we warned them at the time, as they jubilated, that the development would have grave consequences. Instead they insulted others and said they were winning and would teach those of us from outside the SE how to fight Fulanis. Today they are all living in fear and terror at the hands of the monsters they created yet still looking to defelct blame onto others. May God save these 'fascinating' people if at all salvation is still possible for them. |
chiagozien:How are you today bro? You've earned, smiled and loved today ? If yes to the three then you're heading in the right direction. If no, then stop infantile dismissal of the opinion of others you can learn from as "trash". |
esnbrutality:Lol. I don't know your age but obvious you're a kid mentally. Having explained why Biafra is not possible, by virtue of how secession of any region of Nigeria is constitutionally outlawed, you still wrote the bolded above. Are you a robot since that would explain why you and other Igbos repeatedly ask others to support what the Constitution of a nation has expressly rejected as a act of treason Bro, indulge me and note the talk of all motivational speakers who have succeeded in life and are teaching others how to do same and you will discern that certain cardinal advise they give are uniform. One of the most prominent will always be the need for those who wish to succeed to note all criticism and learn from those that may actually be factually objective because the may hold the key to becoming better and more successful. This is what you Igbos get wrong and it is why you have always failed , at the expense of great losses to your people, trying to achieve Biafra over decades now. Just watch how Yorubas will achieve freedom to lead themselves at regional level, which will be akin to Oduduwa Republic in all but name, while you guys will chase Biafra forever. Once any region of Nigeria has completely independent power over her own security, electricity solution and socio-economic direction then who needs names like Arewa Republic, Biafra or Oduduwa nation other than self-destructive egotists like you guys? |
2mch:Absolutely. It is as if they are under mass hypnosis to the extent the few who have somehow retained their freewill, like Igbokwe and Soludo plus Nwabufo etal, must be vilified and attacked as traitors, "efulefu" and "sabo". They are their own biggest enemies, as confirmed by Cubans Chief Priest and other Igbos who have fled the SE for the SW, Even though they do not realize that. Only God can intervene in their matter. |
esnbrutality:Ogbeni, grow up. Who is "unity begging"? The Yorubas leaders who did what is shown below while your leaders hid? Stop fooling yourself. Biafra is not possible because of your grandfather Azikiwe. He made sure a push for secession by any region was outlawed and deemed as treason according to our Constitution. Azikiwe, backed by Northerners, won over a British arbitration committee against the stance of Awolowo who had moved for the inclusion of a secession clause in our Constitution. The committee of departing British colonialist ruled against Awolowo , in favour of Azikiwe and his Northern acolytes, and decreed that attempt at secession by any region is an act of treason. This is why Nigeria fought Ojukwu when he declared Biafra. Demonstrating the confused and unreasonable nature of you lot, you continue to blame Awolowo over the outcome of the civil war. Whereas l Azikiwe made it treasonous for any region to attempt to secede and Ojukwu's lawless disregard for the Constitution of Nigeria led to the death of millions of Igbo since Nigeria had no choice but to challenge an act of 'treason" courtesy of the covetous machinations of Azikiwe If you have any commonsense, this factual lesson in history means that, from now, Biafra should never be uttered by your mouth again. Rather support what is shown below because we have hosted it before and it will grant you Biafra in all but name rather than your secession exercise in futility Kanu and Ekpa have now used to destroy the SE. Constitution amendment , to allow secession, is a waste of time, effort and money because the North, a considerable number in our legislative houses, will never allow such sail through. Beg your father's and uncles to accept and support what is shown below . Trust the progressive and sophisticated Yorubas in this one bro and quit the redundant noise of Biafra. 😎

2mch:Bro there are a few decent Igbos who consistently speak the truth. Just that they are tagged efulefu and all manners of derogatory names by a people who are in lover with their hate preacher who tell them others are the problem because every Igbo is innocent, saintly and "victimised" Frederick Nwabufo is one and he now works as Senior Special Assistant on Public Engagement to President Tinubu. A position I am not surprised to see him in as a moderate, principled and progressive Igbo whi has always challenged Igbos to introspect rather than seek to blame others for all their woes I have followed his career for a while since he wrote two revealing and candidly truthful articles, shown below, that made him persona non Grata to virtually all Igbos check them out yourself Whereas these are the sort of people Igbos should listen to, if they wish to make enduring progress and be at peace with others, rather than hate preachers like Kanu who tell Igbos they are perfect and the problem is with all others . Nwabufo wrote "The Igbo crime culture" Part 1 in 2017. https://www.thecable.ng/igbo-crime-culture/ He then followed that up with "Igbo crime culture" part 2 in 2019. https://saharareporters.com/2019/08/23/igbo-crime-culture-2-fredrick-nwabufo Crystal clear, like Soludo and Igbokwe and other sane Igbos, that these are the sort of Igbos who will lead Nigeria someday and consequently rehabilitate Igbos into national prominence. Not hate-preaching Igbos like Kanu or deceptive hypocrites like Obi. |
Soludo said precisely same thing and they came for his head. Where is Gidgiddy, Mr.Vitalis, PaChuckwudl, Kettykin, Owobokori and co? I just wish to greet them good afternoon 😎😊 |
ogascomax:Can you read at all? I guess SW is not a region of Nigeria to you and Yorubas are not human beings. It is great we live in an information age now where there is digital footprint of what public figures and leaders do. Smart folks should make of the info below what they will which is indisputable proof of something very sinister and a sign of what is to come for misguided Obidient like Falz, Mr.Macaroni and Iyabo Ojo etal. They should make what is shown below make sense if it is at all possible to do so. The breakdown indicated Obi’s philanthropy extended to five geopolitical zones, with South-West excluded. |
RodgersAkpafu:They should hide wrongdoing to spare your brother's wrongdoing abi? Best the truth be known so we stop the fake show of 'one Nigeria' unity, that is really a dog eat dog scramble for central commandeering of Nigeria's wealth by a few, to embrace what is shown below.
|
Now, Yoruba eyes are starting to open to see, as some of us ihave long insisted, the hate isn't online alone as many used to tout years back. I'd like someone to explain the bolded below coherently considering Obi has business interest and residence in the SW yet does not deem it fit to donate even 0.01% of his total philanthropic gifts to the region. A clue of what is to come if he becomes President or his folks gain more foothold in SW political and public administration position. No point telling those who are students of history that we have been seeing this since the days of Azikiwe, Charles Onyeama . The breakdown indicated Obi’s philanthropy extended to five geopolitical zones, with South-West excluded. |
VladimirTheGrea:Rubbish start to finish from a naive, uninformed and emotional individual I won't waste further time with. See below, dated May 2025, to note I talk based on facts and proven reality. Unlike you. Oya na, you and others like you should call PEJ a liar so as to carry on your lies "Tinubu betrayed Jonathan". Have a nice day bro. https://punchng.com/why-jonathan-wont-run-against-tinubu-in-2027-patience/ Why Jonathan won’t run against Tinubu in 2027 – Patience
|
OneCandleAway:You should explain what injustice I support. Explaining the cold and brutal pragmatism of Nigerian politics to you is support of injustice? If you don't know it, I can categorically confirm it to you here and now that many political leaders routinely hide a lot from ordinary Nigerians because of how you speak here , reflecting your thoughts, which makes it clear to them majority of you cannot handle the truth. Tinubu is not going to come and tell you publicly why he did things he did. Neither will Malami justify his actions as our former AGF because they both have ultimate agendas they are fighting for. It is left to those who are discerning amongst us to note who is fighting for good or evil. in fact, you'd be surprised those you assume are bad, based on info in the public domain, are actually the good guys sacrificing and compromising to keep you safe and prevent Nigeria experiencing the horror of Rwanda. Whereas those pretending they are the good guys and are after your best interests are the demons behind the main problems of Nigeria. |
shortgun:Lol. Why don't you show us the legal document backing power rotation between North and South if you can? That you won't be able to do this means it is not in place? Per Jonathan, he was not seeking a second term alone. He has had 5 years in power. Five years spent in a period regarded as belonging to the North after OBJ's 8 years on behalf of the South 4 more years for GEJ, that you view his second term, translates to 9 years in the eyes of the North. More than the two maximum terms, equalling 8 years, any President is entitled to let alone one using the slot of the North Remember we are talking of a region that knows nothing other than seeking the Presidency, for it's control of Nigeria's purse, it needs to sustain itself. It is not a joke for the North, rather, Presidential power is everything to them. Does it then make sense that a region that does not want even 1 minute that is viewed as belonging to the North will allow the South to have 9 years as GEJ was planning? If you wish to be hiding behind petty mischief, that is your own walaha. I bid you good luck with that.I will only advise you to watch as Northerners who understand the necessity of the sacrifice Tinubu made, and the need to reciprocate to keep Nigeria peaceful and "United", do the needful on behalf of PBAT in 2027. |
VladimirTheGrea:Look at this naive character. Was Jonathan ever supposed to be President, after 8 years of OBJ, but for the death of Yar Adua? Are you ignorant of power rotation between North and South some are ready to massacre a community of 1 million to maintain? The same power-obsessed, born-to-rule and hegemonistic North, that who will do anything for power, would have allowed GEJ to spend 9 years in power under the slot of the North he inherited via the unfortunate death of Yar Adua? The North grudgingly agreed for GEJ, after he had been substantive President for 1 year, to win the 2011 election with the proviso he would leave in 2015 after having spent 5 years in power. This is why many Northern leaders, and even Yoruba leaders like Tinubu, aided GEJ to win in 2011. Below were the prominent candidate for the 2011 election GEJ won. Despite the presence of strong Northerners like Shekarau and Bhuhai Tinubu did not lift a finger to help Ribadu in the SW despite superior ACN strength in the region because of the unspoken deal to let GEJ have a term to give him 5 year in power in total. For emphasis contrast with 2015, when everyone considered the turn of the North and were determined to make such happen so GEJ's treachery would not have dire consequences for Nigeria. Buhai, who had never won a SW State in thre previous attempt to be President, won every Yoruba State bar Ekiti then under PDP Fayose. Problem is that Nigerians followers are too naive and lacking critically definitive knowledge/information that can make major issues crystal clear . You don't see even 5% of what is very important for you to know and that is why you identify noble leaders, who genuinely have your interest at heart, as villains while following those who are deceitful opportunists who will surely ruin the future of your generation unborn.
|
Back2Daura:Lol. Keep telling yourself the bolded. It just shows how simple you lot are. You should explain, as one example, why militants who took up arms against Nigeria , because they felt their land was cheated and marginalised despite producing the goose that lays the golden eggs, are largely behind Tinubu today if they genuinely believe he betrayed GEJ and the Ijaws. You lot need to begin understanding there is a need to make your ridiculous conspiracy theories make sense. Why is GEJ himself, his wife and may prominent Ijaws, not barking rapidly as some of you are doing? Are they not those who are directly bereaved? |
OneCandleAway:Abeg take your GEJ noise elsewhere. "Looking for sympathy" from who? Is iit not your ethnic group still carrying GEJ matter on your head while Jonathan himself is cordial today with Tinubu whereas you lot continue to cry more than the bereaved about some alleged misdeeds of Tinubu against GEJ. Jonathan himself, and his inner crew to include his wife and many Ijaws, have chilled today because they know it was his attempt to renege on a pledge to do one term alone, out of what was already a contentious situation of cheating the North of power, that led Tinubu etal to act. Many Northerners, after Jonathan had been substantive President for one year, supported him to win the 2011 election to get a four year term as Preaident, a total of 5 years as President for Jonathan, and then leave the stage at that point because he would have enjoyed 5 years as President that would never have been his or the South had Yar Adua not died. If you are not a kid you'd know about Chibok girls saga and the terror and bombings deployed to ward off GEJ from contemplating a second term that would have given him in 9 years in power, had he won, in a period the power-obsessed North felt was their legitimate slot. Yes Tinubu and other leaders should have stood by and watched Nigeria burn because GEJ did not want to be honorable. If you and others do not know, it is awareness of the inside story that has made Patience Jonathan, GEJ'S wife, and many influential Ijaws, to include powerful militants like Tompolo etal, rally behind PBAT today rather than view him the villain you all ignorantly keep touting he is. Take your cue from Jonathan himself and his Ijaw people. Stop embarrassingly crying more than the bereaved. |
stanluiz:Go ahead and expose yourself to the world as an illiterate just to satisfy your desire to be a bigot. If an individual is from the SW that is in the south of Nigeria, then how can the bolded in your post be correct? If Tinubu is not from the Southern part of Nigeria, as you claim, where is he from then? The Northern region? Abi Middle Belt? It is like claiming a man is from Awka or Onitsha and not Anambra. Obviously you are the one playing on your own intelligence trying to deny an individual his correct region of origin to isolate and gaslight him as being from Yoruba land in pursuit of the greater effort to stir up ethnic disaffection against Tinubu and Yorubas. |
tunapawizzy:Why are you even explaining anything to them? They have always preferred to demonize Yorubas globally and deliberately portray us as wicked, tribalistic and evil so they can appear as saints and victims. Those are not the sort of people you reason with or try to appease. Yorubas should now simply accept the stage of explaining or trying to prove anything to them is over. Let them do their worst. If they dare. same people I have always asked, without ever getting a coherent or sensible answer, to explain how they can live and thrive, in many millions, with a people they are always telling the world are "demons". They should be taught the harsh lesson of the adage "you don't know what you have till it is gone". If Yorubas and the SW, the main human and geographical support system of Igbos in Nigeria, turn their back on the ingrate lot then what remains for them? |
