Factcheck0001:That was my initial suspicion too confirmed by how the OP fled after trying to incite hate against South Africans. The guy is an Obidient, his past posts will confirm it, and we know their extremist ways. Questions most Nigerians should learn to ask automatically, before reacting to what may be propagandist hate-mongering, is "what did our fellow Nigerian do?" That question is important because no Nigerian will fail to support a Nigerian persecuted unjustly. Conversely, we should not support those doing wrong worldwide and giving us a bad image/name. |
bigpicture001:With the bolded, that is a failing of all of us as Nigerians. We have all watched, from time immemorial, as many Governments have used positions of foreign and diplomatic attachment as patronage gifts to political and crony affiliates. The result is that we have many leaders charged with looking after the wellbeing and interest of Nigerians abroad who do not have innate passion for their job and don't give a toss about their fellow Nigerians. If they did then they would interface with their South African counterparts better so that both nations derive good outcome when problems arise. What we have created is a culture of not caring about about each other and then overreacting when the worst happens. The sad truth is that Nigerians abroad are essentially on their own same way Nigerians in Nigeria have to do everything for themselves as if leaders and government are non-existent. We don't insist leaders do more so of course we get less. The most crucial change required is for Nigerians to recognise their own people power, I think South Africans call it amandla awethu, and insist leaders perform at all levels. |
bigpicture001:Definitely not over this development because all leaders must charge their citizens to be law-abiding wherever they are. On the face of it, what we see appears like a task force, akin to court bailiffs, carrying out their legally-empowered eviction duty. Even in the civilised UK, Court-appointed bailiffs will forcefully evict you. I would know as a landlord who had to use the courts to evict some people from my property when they had not paid rent for over 8 months and I had to cover the mortgage throughout the period. The only wrong would be the crowd making mocking and xenophobic noise. So, what exactly would President Tinubu be kicking up a fuss over? |
shortgun:Whatever bro. I don't have time for your diatribe. |
bigpicture001:I already stated that some xenophobic South Africans may have hijacked the situation to spread hate. Yet , as a Nigerian, I will ask my fellow Nigerians to be guided first before I start supporting their misconduct abroad. Especially in places where tension against their presence is running high. The presence of several individuals in green indicates a task force or recognised volunteer group is involved. Meaning what they are doing is likely legal while it is only the mocking antics of the crowd that is condemnable. |
Nonexisting1:You are incorrect. It is claimed a Nigerian hijacked a house since 2017 and has not been paying rent nor bills. These things, especially when images are supplied, takes seconds to research and gain conclusive answers. You guys should stop acting like a glorified lynch mob spreading toxicity between nations and people. Sure some xenophobic South African may hijack the development for their own nefarious agenda. Yet facts remains he has done wrong if the allegation of not paying rent since 2017 is correct https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYaYhNhmN_A?si=6u805LngsjKQuihN |
When will this Joker called Dino Melaye leave politics for good? He is easily a candidate for one of the most irritating and most worthless Nigerian politician of all time.. The GOAT of Nigerian political ineptitude and inefficacy. |
aribisala0:Totally agree. In fact, this is the main problem of many sectors under the purview of Nigerian political/government power. They have all been hijacked, rather than conceded into competent private hands, so that such sectors are beneficial for only a few and not Nigeria and Nigerians at large. |
Akinfemmy:Their inferiority complex is pathetic. I always cringe reading their new and latest folly here because I know it is insecurity behind it.. Before AI, which throws up subjective and incorrect answers because it draws on human-supplied opinions in databases, did we not have definitive and undoubted expert methods an economist, for example, would use to determine strength/development of regional economies? They will claim "superior intellect" yet be online talking like a bunch of Primary 2 school children attempting to discuss calculus. |
Armaggedon:Look, my friend, stop embarrassing yourself. All artificial intelligence experts will confirm AI can and will give incorrect answers over questions that are matters of opinions with many possible answers. For those sort of questions, such as "which ethnic group is best looking in the world", AI relies on most recurring answers , in it's archived database , that has been supplied by human beings who are of course creatures with right and wrong opinions. Where AI excels, and indeed most who are seeking real world solutions use it for, is STEM-related problem-solving. I.e science, technology, engineering and mathematics. AI, as an example, can provide accurate spatial computation to make robots work error-free on a factory floor. It can assist to create self-driving cars. It won't however give an answer that can be accepted as undoubtedly and empirically correct if you ask it whether women with big boobs make the best wives. Questions like most economically developed regions of a nation may stump AI, because of database info it uses to collate answers, but will not phase a decent economists who simply has to look at relevant statistics to make definitive conclusions based on established parameters which will always confirm the SW region of Nigerian as more developed than her SE counterpart. You guys simply appear pathetic and desperately insecure wanting AI to give you bragging rights over issues Nigerians, in Nigeria, know you are not leaders at. |
This Ayodele is a joke as a man of God. A complete charlatan. He seems completely and totally fascinated with politics and speaks of nothing else. His flock should simply ask him to step down from his dubious pretence of being a man of God to go into politics full-time. |
Lionnation:You guys always offer this lame and unintelligent argument. Using basic parameters like industrialisation, the SE cannot even come close to the SW before we talk about human development index, spending power, regional per capita income etc. It is indicative of your inferiority complex that these type of threads, started by Igbos, have become an unpleasant staple diet Nairalanders have to consume. |
Shikini:Lol. Check out what AI says about Ogun State in comparison to the entire SE under "Urban Development" to note you are simply uninformed. Notable Oyo is not even cited in the mix.
|
mrvitalis:Lol. You never fail to amuse with how your attempt to show intellectual capacity is always ridiculed by how you don't even appreciate the most basic things. Such as the fact that asking AI questions that may have multiple answers, because the parameters are not mathematically definitive, can produce nuanced and subjectively incorrect answers. AI, for non-mathematical or non-computational questions, remains a glorified database that collates aggregated answers from human input that is subjective and not absolute. You cannot make AI a supreme arbiter over an issue that Nigerians themselves have the best answer for because of on-ground experience. See below AI contradiction of another AI platform i.e GROK. Fact is that even the simplest test, such as the region accomodating the highest number of non-indigenes, directly confirms the SW as the most developed region of Nigeria by far before we even go into.many other socio-economic consideration the SW is champion of. The SE is a sad joke dude. You know it but it is not in your nature to be truthful.

Gentledove2001:It certainly is not #715 billion Naira or £350 million pounds sterling. Even AI is there to assist you if you cannot speak with an expert. Look below and pay attention to costing for large international airport. You guys should stop operating with your simplistic and ignorant "kpomo don cost" mentality that will not move you beyond the doorway of your personal and localised circumstances. You don't have a clue regarding what building an airport cost yet you are accusing others of "taking Nigerians for granted".
|
CornOak:Too many ignorant kids in adult bodies in Nigeria. That is one of our main problem as nation. What you have explained will not be acceptable to them because they love wallowing in ignorance and judging everything from their own unexposed and unenlightened viewpoint. |
greatiyk4u:Whether you wish to accept it or not, everything is not about 2027 elections. Tackling infrastructural challenges is an obligatory duty Government still has to fulfil. MMIA is an eyesore that looks like a 1950s relic in comparison to most Airports of other nations. The upgrade of MMIA, our flagship Airport, if it will be done correctly, is long overdue. Simplistic to see everyrhing in terms of "kpomo don cost" or "campaign money will be amassed" but not all Nigerians are in your position. Some are international travellers who use airports outside Nigeria and appreciate that MMIA is a disgrace. Those type would understand a befitting uprgrade for the Flagship airport of the biggest black nation on Earth, even if previous governments have failed to deliver such, should be a non-negotiable minimum. |
columbus007:As a global traveller, I can confirm MMIA, our flagship Airport, is a disgrace in comparison to even fifth choice airport of most nations let alone their flagship model. I cannot estimate what it would cost to upgrade MMIA to the standard of Gatwick Airport for example, if that is even possible, but I know it will not be cheap. At current exchange rate, the #712 billion Naira proposed to upgrade MMIA is around £350 million pounds sterling. Yet look below to note heathrow was upgraded, albeit with a new runway, for a whopping £49 billion pounds sterling !!! Make the statement you did in bold above confidently only if you are (1) an aviation expert with strong knowledge of the upgrade MMIA will need and good quantitative analysis skills to estimate what such will cost or (2) a layman ready to search for knowledge delivered by experts so he can then judge whether costing is accurate or not. What should not be an option for progressive adults, who wish to be part of the effort to secure good governance for their nation, is the option of talking blindly and ignorant of definitive information. Not defending the budgeted amount but I cannot doubt it, as you do, without costing info.
|
KillahPriest:I kinda agree with you. Let's inspect the arguments, for and against, objectively. The concept of fairness should always be revisable as times and circumstances change. It cannot be rigid and inflexible. |
Bigmospa:Lol. "Innocent cows"? Are they heading to jail or hell? You know better than the qualified veterinarians who will be looking after them? You know, even as a Nigerian, I find Nigerians an amusing people. Una over-sabi mentality that pushes you to rush and talk senselessly is truly universally unique. No restraint at all. |
SporaD8:You raise some good points. In fact it is the issue of competitive advantage that saw the South cede livestock agriculture and animal husbandry, related to Cattle etal, to the North wholly. That now has to stop because there is nothing the North is not using mlalevolently today to blackmail the South over political power. It is however not right to ignore livestock from the North and import. That is an act of agressjon no President, however well-meaning, will look good enacting. What would be a good solution would be for the South to engage in livestock and crop agriculture to secure food sufficiency. That would be a development the North would not be able to criticise publicly because it remains the prerogative of the South to engage in commercial livestock and food crop agriculture to feed the people in the region since the North wishes to use her monopoly of those malevolenty. What is shown below is from 2021 and I am personally exasperated it takes Southern Leaders so long, after the North has openly put them on notice, to act and secure solutions against food war they know the North will always deploy against the South as the main tool of blackmail she has.. Everything always takes ages because of the lack of focua and application of Nigerian leaders. https://www.icirnigeria.org/food-insecurity-blockade-by-north-forces-south-to-rethink-agriculture/ During the blockade embarked on by northern traders under the aegis of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN), staple food items such as beef and vegetables, including tomatoes and onions, became scarce in the South, leading to an astronomical rise in the cost of foodstuffs.

ElevationD:Lol..Sharp response. Understand your motivation sha because some comments are so nonsensical they make you wonder "what da fck?" or "this is coming from an adult mind?". 😅 |
Justiceleague1:You sure you are okay? Why dont you pertinently contribute to the topic under discussion here and then bring your Obi defence noise on a thread where such is actually relevant? Anyway, good to know my criticism of your gbajue messiah is really peppering some of you. Have a nice weekend. 😎 |
Reportage says the Cows landed in Lagos. Would be interesting to know where they will be domiciled and bred 🤔 I say this because the brigandage of Southern Nigeria by the North, over livestock and crop agriculture, is now a weaponized tool of political power play and blackmail Southern leaders need to extricate themselves from.. Most people don't know this agricultural cold war, between the North and South, is part of what is responsible for huge inflation related to foodstuff. I can only commend this if it is part of an effort to see the South develop her livestock agricultural food sufficiency. |
Shimbo96:Making wild and unverified claims comes naturally for those guys. It is second nature to them meaning there is no allowance for facts and reality in their thinking. |
helinues:When you see only the IDP's (internally displaced politicians) making noise, while the most powerful and influential in the land are silent then you know it in indeed a "walk in the park" for Jagaban. Only Atiku has considerable clout. Yet he is going nowhere when his best 11 consist of failures and disgruntled losers Nigerians will reject like Aregbe, Babachir Lawal, Malami, Hadi Sirika, Ireti Kingibe, Hajiya Nàja'atu Mohammed, Kenneth Okonkwo, Ralph Nwosu etal. |
@Topic. As usual, Nigerians will fail to see/discern what whatevers from information provided because of ethno-religious bias and sentiments. This information from statisense is about the number of people in total, not by ethnicity, currently domiciled in regions of Nigeria. It makes commonsense broadly for SW, the region most Nigerians are migrating to enmasse, to be 44 million. The SE figure ,with a count of 29 million that bigots and unreasonable people may consider low, cannot be commonsensically viewed surprising as we know Igbos are vagrant by nature always let alone when the SE is now the most troubled and unproductive it has ever been since the immediate period after the civil war ended. While this information cannot be verified 100% without an accurate census, it makes sense broadly to objective observers and should be a reminder to some, i.e Northerners and Igbos, about their wrong priority and focus in relation to what is in the best interest of their people. |
UrPapa:Your observations are 💯% correct and on the money. Yet some won't accept the veracity of your conclusions because they never wish to confront reality. |
IgOga:Bro, lighten up. We all know and accept the bolded. The 12:00 noon quip is satirical and not literal. |
