Agbegbaorogboye:You are not bright. I saw their names but what you cannot fathom is that my talk about political and sectional compromise has automatically accounted for everyone to include Yorubas who will go against what is best for the SW masses because of their political and sectional interest. Do you see now that I am not your mate intellectually because my thoughts and opinions are always shaped by a genuine desire to see all Nigerian people, States and region make the best progress God intended for them when he gave each so much endowment whereas you follow your hate and prejudice radar always? See below to note I make the overarching parameters clear to the extent such includes Yorubas resisting the regional autonomy push of the majority of SW people because of their own sectional and political interest. As I have always told you, your kind will always be flawed because your 24/7 prejudiced mind can never see as clearly as progressive and objective minds can. We are now enemies of each other along ethnic, religious, sectional and political lines to the extent the mission of most Nigerians today is to automatically find fault, even if totally senseless, with those they are prejudiced against and wish to discredit by any means possible. |
GODISGREAT123:Stop making hasty generalisations. I am not one of those guilty of your accusations in the bolded above. I make suggestions and define my stance, uncompromisingly, per what I think is best for Nigeria today. Shown below is what I believe in and tout daily as the holy grail solutions to our problems. Till such is delivered, and as a pragmatic and critical-thinking adult, I will continue to focus on the reality of Nigeria as things are currently, Jncluding commenting on who I believe will be an effective future President If our current reality endure. If you have Pragmatic intellect and wisdom then you'd see the futility of trying to unite a tribalistic, self-hating, religiously divided and sectionally disunited people to make sophisticated decisions when such is innately impossible because of their outlook.

Lithiumite:That can work too because an outgoing President can provide all the necessary backing to assist a win for such a candidate. I will however add that Dogara, though not unknown politically, is a technocrats also. Arguable too that he is a "dyed in the wool" politicians because that would suggest he is given to political expediency above doing what is right/required. He has shown he has reformer 'layers' such as when he was the most prominent Northerner to come forward to back the tax reform bills with knowledge and erudition. All demonstrative of the fact he took it upon himself to be thoroughly aware of what the tax reform bill entails and what it seeks achieve. Something virtually all Northern leaders would not contemplatie. |
Thiefobi1:Indeed. Crystal clear too that the North will continue regressing under the insincere lot she parades as political, religious and cultural leaders currently. All they know to do is hanker for power. If Nigeria is not a nation of hateful and toxically divided people, should all Nigerians not be united asking Atiku, El Rufai, Malami and so many others why they are obsessed with chasing the Presidency when they do not need political power to begin adressing some of the most pressing problems of the North? The North is too far behind for the lack of sincerity and focus we are seeing from her leaders currently. The leaders of the North, if love of humanity and their people still resides in their hearts, need to go back to basics and put ordinary Northerners first. |
This is why I resent SLS, El Rufai, Atiku, Ndume and many Northern leaders today. They gaslight others about the North's problem same as they currently wish to insist Tinubu, only 2 years in power, is responsible for the current abject State the North is in today. Yet at no time, for over 6 decades now, have we seen even a single straight-talking and focused Northern leader, as Awolowo was for the SW, coming out bravely to attribute Northern problems to Northern leadership. When such a "charity begins at home" leader cannot emerge from the North, with only 'gaslighters' like SLS and Atiku being all the North has been able to parade now for decades, is it not clear the North will never improve? Admitting you have a problem that you have caused for yourself , like drugs and substance abuse, is the first step to finding lasting solutions. With most Northern leader today showing they suffer from Narcissictic personality disorder (NPD) ,which leads to them behaving as victims when they are not, then all they will ever be capable of doing is going around giving patronising, sanctimious and redundant talk instead of acting to liberate their region and people. |
Typing:You people keep citing examples that mock the Nigerian education system. Duplex building and foundation tranches excavation? Guy, are you for real? This is a huge project to be completed in sections with each section commissioned, upon completion, and then put to use immediately while work continues on other sections. This is no different to the Lagos metro rail project where completed routes are commissioned with Lagosians then free to use those for their travels daily while work continues to add more stations and routes. How is this simple concept lost on you to the extent you are talking Duplex and foundation? Is the Lagos blue line not commissioned and being used today even if it currently terminates at Marina? Yet, and crucially, we know the blue line will move beyond Marina and end circa the Epe corridor of Lagos and possibly even beyond that point as an extension fo Ogun State rail connection under the regional integration master plan of SW Nigeria? Even Lagos Calabar coastal highway is itself an idea with an expanded West African focus. I.e modular construction and with much greater interconnectivity capacity with great possibilities for pan African trade and cooperation like optimally transport-linked EU enjoys. It is a visionary project conceived long ago and progressive Nigerians thank Tinubu for having the vision and focus to revive it and move aggressively to build and complete it. Commissioning of completed sections about to be put in use is a development no progressive, objective and well-meaning Nigerian should have issues with.

This thread illustrates again why some are passionate fans of regional autonomy. We are now enemies of each other along ethnic, religious, sectional and political lines to the extent the mission of most Nigerians today is to automatically find fault, even if totally senseless, with those they are prejudiced against and wish to discredit by any means possible. What point is this misguided group making seemingly suggesting commissioning should only happen for the Lagos Calabar coastal highway at 100% completion stage when the FG had announced the highway, a humongously big project, would be completed in sections with each fully completed section then put into full use and tolled to derive more money to plough into completion of other sections? Crystal clear that the greatest problem of Nigeria today is how we are primed to be each others unobjective enemies because we resent others for their religious, ethnic, political, cultural and sectional affiliation. Better Nigeria gains a regionally autonomous structure where people with homogeneity of socio-economic ideals lead themselves so that solutions that delivers growth and development can be ratified and implemented quickly without time-consuming dissent, objection and mischievous criticism devoid of logic almost 100% of the time. |
Brendaniel:Is it Tinubu and his team that are not normal or you contributes senseless talk, everyday on this forum, because of prejudiced hatred of others? The Lagos Calabar coastal highway is, for majority of it's length, a road. Very different to your comparison using a bridge. The highway will be constructed in well-defined sections the FG has provided exhaustive information about for progressive Nigerians to access. Each section should, per FG stated plans, be usable upon completion and moves will be made to toll completed sections asap to make more money available for deployment towards quicker completion of other sections. A sections of the highway that is completed, usable and capable of being tolled can/should be commission as a completed project within a bigger project the FG has always revealed would be modular. Same as how Lagos blue metro rail line , terminating at Marina, was commissioned and is now in use daily even though we know, because Lagos State officially informed us of such, that a next phase will begin to extend the blue line beyond it's present termation point at Marina to the Epe corridor of Lagos. Analysing you thougthless example of Third Mainland brigdge, it is obvious a bridge over water cannot be commissioned at any stage, other than full completion, because it's purpose is to close the gap from one end of a body of water to another so that vehicle and pedestrian can cross said body of water. So, who exactly is "not normal" if not the person unintelligently asking if the government would commission a 4% completed Third Mainland bridge, when that makes no logical sense, in comparison to a lenghty highway where sections can become fully usable once completed and thus deserve commissioning before official money tolling begins? |
michlins:Who is making excuses? Rather I am confidently telling the agents of doom and gloom that fund will be available to finish the project much sooner than the 200 years time limit they are propagating as enemies of Nigeria's progress. Try to read and comprehend so you understand what others are saying. |
wiseoneking:Lagos is looking to build massively on it's tourism, hospitality and entertainment potentials based on the huge success of the last 'Detty December" that has opened eyes to the potential income Lagos can generate from those sectors. Lagos Arena was inspired by the success of the O2 Arena in London. Nothing to do with Anambra. I wish Anambra well though as Soludo is doing well in my opinion.
|
Tochitee:Like Yakubu Dogara. He is 57 now and will be 63 in 2031. |
mikael11:As Tjra explained to you lot, with many feigning ignorance of his point, funding the project, for many reasons that I do not have the interest nor time to explain, will become significantly easier. Meaning the entire road could possibly be finished by Tinubu's second term in 2031 that I am assuming he will complete. |
Orissodiq:Anything Lagos is as good as delivered 100%. You can go to sleep knowing 'Detty December' entertainment HQ in Nigeria will be this Arena in December 2027. |
jaxxy:O2 is definitely an inspiration for this arena as it has hosted and boosted the profile of many Afro beats performer from across Africa for over a decade now. Hosting similar in African and specifically Nigeria, the undisputed home of Afro beats, is a major coup for our nation. This Arenas will be modern, functional and optimally transport-linked as the 02 is. The only major difference is that the capacity of this Arena will be 12,000 while the capacity of the O2 Arena is 20,000.

Tjra:Bro you are arguing with hardcore haters. You cannot win with those type. To begin with, and including the OP as a core culprit, these haters stole almost an entire year on the construction timeline of the Lagos Calabar coastal highway simply to malign the Tinubu Presidency. They are claiming 30km delivered in two years before the world. Yet see below to note construction began officially in March 2024. They stole an entire 10 months on construction timeline. You need nothing else than that to note you are dealing with those ready to use lies and deception to dupe others that their pre-concieved condemnation of everything Tinubu does is valid.

anonymous1759:Lol. You're 100% correct.Na so dem born dem. |
Lol. "Shocking evidence" indeed. More like more of the same from Lie-Tasha. I.e tonnes of oral accusations, allegations and spurious indictments without a single shred of physical evidence as Susan Duru delivered to back her allegations against Lie-Tasha. |
Depriest2020:Tinubu is the ultimate role model for all Nigerians, male and female, who want to be successful in life and reach the highest pinnacle of greatness possible. The man has his eyes on the prize always and is never given to frivolities or enduring petty hatred of others. He understands an enemy today can be a big ally tomorrow. What does it profit a man to join issues permanently with every individual who attacks him when that only introduces mental and physical distraction that will be costly in terms of achieving goals, ambitions and dreams? |

Tunde835:Precisely baba. There is no way to scam our way to gaining a great and powerful economy, to then automatically derive a strong currency as a consequence of such, as Nigerians wish to see. The only way to gain a strong economy, and an attendantly matching strong currency, is by working hard, sincerely and transparently, building our economy on holistic foundation of developing greater manufacturing capacity, strong export of goods and services the world wants, domestic food sufficiency and export etc, etc. The above we can aid with drastic improvement of our education sector to produce skilled labour that can address internal demand in civil engineering etc and then even surplus we can export. We must work on better security of human lives and property, improved and reliable power supply etc, etc. It is obvious how the Goverment of PBAT is moving I.e with a holistic, completely organic and fundamental ground-up approach devoid of talk and actions designed to play to the Gallery and decietfully patronise Nigerians as previous governments all did to various extent. |
Logical thinking and plausible conclusion.

RichBoy247:They never accept the obvious. One of them was arguing blindly when I made the point, a few days ago, Kperogi has also now stated quoted directly below. Below that is a quoted section of my post here where I make precisely same point. We leave it to the emotional, sentimental and prejudiced folks, with compromised thinking, to continue fantasizing. The second reason the coalition is unlikely to succeed is that key northern politicians who are already positioning themselves to be Tinubu’s successor in 2031 are either not part of it or are in it to undercut it from within. There are two reasons for this.https://www.nairaland.com/8438630/tinubu-names-yabuku-dogara-ncgc/2#135555911 No sensible Northern Young Turk will do 'abobaku' for Atiku, El Rufai and co they all view as disgruntled, bitter and vengeful Northerners who want to co-opt others into their dead union. |
AdesegunSanni89:Thank you. What we are seeing from Ghana, that even Nigeria used to engage in before Tinubu, is the 419 antics of leaders who do not want to embrace, once and for all, the challenge of growing an economy organically. OP has eloquently illustrated the folly and ignorance of comparing the robustness of the American economy to the undiversified and essentially mono-economy Nigeria has. Yet Nigerians foolishly continue to demand 1 Naira to 1 dollar when, as floatation of Naira has exposed, our economy does not deserve to have a strong currency unless we prefer the continuation of the 419 subsidising of the Naira to make it appear stronger than it is, as was the case under Buhari and GEJ etal. Wherras the best and most economically advantageous option, we should embrace automatically, is to avoid shortcuts and work hard to grow our economy first and then experience automatic and holistic strenghtening of our currency as a natural consequence of such, via efforts to boost trade surplus for example, rather than olodo daydreaming and self-deception. Ghanaians, as a people, are heavily into deceit. They believe perception is greater than reality. This is why their leaders prefer using central bank 419 tweaks, available to any national central bank Governor, to make the Cedi appear 'valuable' in comparison to other currencies. This is why they redenominated in 2007 in the first place. If we look at the inherent strenght of the Cedi and it's comparative purchasing power parity, it becomes obvious this is a factually worthless currency that reflects the low worth, low productivity and low growth potentials of the Ghanaian economy. Facts that no one can hide from discerning and knowledgeable observers not taking in by gimmicks, catchphrases and deception aimed at fooling those illiterate over national monetary policy. Tinubu, Cardoso and Nigeria are going about things the right way. OP's argument is correct when he insists that it is the genuinely robust and innate strenght of a nations economy that must confer upon said nation a strong currency that is highly desirable and convertible as global currency of trade and exchange of value. Tinubu realises this and that is why his approach is to grow the Nigeria economy holistically and organically and not engage in the 419 deception of his predecessors who all ran very poor and undiversified economies with Naira artifically boosted to enhance it appearance of 'strenght' to laymen. People should ask whether any international businessman, even with Ghana currency showing supposed strenght against the dollar on paper, will accept cedis or transact with it as one of the choice currencies of international transaction as they would use dollars, Pounds sterling, Yen etc. |
nedu666:I will take the example of fuel subsidy alone because I am not your teacher and therefore not responsible for showing you everything. Fuel subsidy was a centrist policy the FG embarked upon that was detrimental to the development of Nigerian States by starving them of much needed funds from our income of the sale of crude oil. Fuel subsidy was a glorified scam sustained for decades with the lie 'cheap fuel' is beneficial for Nigeria whereas it was killing us socio-economically as an Albatross against our development. By having the balls to remove subsidy, Tinubu has enacted the decentralization of more of Nigeria's wealth to "address local needs more effectively" (see section covering devolution of power in the image below) even if you do not have the thinking capacity to discern that. What States make of the 3 to 5 times greater allocation they are receiving is for indigenes to pay more oversight attention to. The crux of the matter is that Tinubu has made more financial might available to address local needs more effectively by closing the door on centrist disapppearance of Nigeria's crude wealth mainly scammers were benefiting from. Powerful concept that is obviously Intangible to you but one which apply to others issues such as floatation of Naira etal.

ChybuzzDD:Yes. Exactly as you "were lied to". That is why you now have a regional development commission the SE has begged for like forever yet Tinubu has now delivered that, within 2 years in power, whereas others before him ignored you lot and even announced you "dot in a circle". Like I will always say about you lot, a man can give you one of his kidneys so you live. Yet that will not stop you hating that man because of where he hals from or envy of him and his people. Please listen to Mark Okoye below, chairman of SEDC, first and foremost, before moving into the subject matter of the plans of SEDC, appreciating Tinubu for delivering what the SE has clamoured for over 54 years and non heeded the pleas of the region. Continue hating Tinubu because he is 'blocking' emergence of Igbo President yet forgetting the Pseudo Igbo President you all backed vehemently, and still do today, did not deliver such. I.e GEJ. God will judge us all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lUDzaigbR0?si=1-c-M2eRQ5e6ejfq |
onatisi:And they will fail woefully. Tinubu's supporters and PBAT himself, because they are naturally more progressive, don't need to try before they and their candidate emerge winners in any duel. |
helinues:That is his mission. Just ignore him. When such is done by most posters, the irritant will disappear. |
Agbegbaorogboye:I wont call you what you are since that will result in a ban and then loss of the message I wish to get across. Suffice to say you lack knowledge and are nowhere near as educated as you need to be. You are the one who does not know what restructuring is and now wish to turn it into a cliché. In this age of AI and information surplus/overload, I cannot believe you come online to embarrass your self daily like this. Restructuring, specifically in the case of Nigeria, is majorly and essentially decentralization of power, and it's specific use, to aid the efficiency and productivity of the Nigerian political system. Only a dishonest and prejudiced individual, determined never to see good in Tinubu, will deny that PBAT has done far more than all Presidents combined, since 1999, in pursuit of the bolded above. This is why I told you that development commissions for every region, as an initiative no sane person can deny is an effort at restructuring, illustrates Tinubu's effort to decentralize political power and it's uses in Nigeria as no other before him have attempted. Focused regional commission can successfully and developmentally take control of socio-economic processes the FG used to have exclusive authority over. We see the SW development commision already making solid plans for transport, power supply adequacy etal for the region. If they achieve their target, then that is restructuring effort achieving what it should. Stop making a fool of yourself. It is irritating to witness. Shun sentiments and try, if possible, to think objectively and then make congent argument by rising above hatred of individuals that has rendered you completely and dishonestly 'blind'. I have helped you out below.
