Beautifulday:What "larger than life status"? Do many, many Governors we have had, since 1999, not parade real, transformational and legacy achievement Obi cannot boast of? Bruv, Obi's compatriots don't respect him at all. They know he is a failure and con artist. It is for you guys to keep telling us he has only watch and carries 2face Idibia's bag in hope that will distract Nigerians from how Obi was the worst Governor Anambra has had since 1999. |
Beautifulday:Ordinary Nigerians is not a derogatory term. I use it to mean average Nigerians. Whether you like it or not, the reality is that ordinary/average Nigerians are very different to leaders. Nigerian leaders, like his fellow Governors ( Akpabio, Fashola , Umahi, Tinubu, Donald Duke etal) have no respect for Obi at all. He is not intelligent, did not achieve much as Governor and innovated zilch other Governors can say they were inspired by. Leaders are not like ordinary Nigerians. Obi is their compatriot. They cannot be brainwashed by propagandist noise seeking to reinvent Obi, their failed colleague, as some leadership Messiah. Akpabio who built the Stadium giving Nigeria glory today will view Obi how exactly simply because ordinary Nigerians are online daily proclaiming him messiah? So many Governors elevated the fortunes of their States, from 1999 to date, to the extent they are simply laughing today when the glorified failure Obi is being haled a messiah currently by the crew below .
|
helinues:No one is fooled by his four years pledge. One thing with Obi is that he will blink first because he is weak, cowardly and not a natural leader. Who else has pledged four years when the constitution allows 8 for a newly sworn in President? This is why virtually no Nigeria leader, with gravitas, respects or supports Obi. Of course many leaders know him from when he was trying to hide from OBJ's plan to take him down, via impeachment while he was Governor of Anambra, to note Obi has a distinct history of always begging, compromising, prostrating and fleeing. |
The ability to work with reality, to then think critically and logically, is the problem of Nigerians. This is why we are not creating human resources that can produce home-grown solutions for our major problems. Anyone not seeing the need for Nigerians to prepare for the Presidential system getting weaker, with more devolution of power to regions, is ignorant. Yorubas saw this ages ago. This is why, as far back as 2013, they created an expansive regional agenda road map document for the development of the SW under regional integration. I have said it several times and will say it again. If Tinubu restructures Nigeria adequately before he leaves, delivers State/regional policing and a good degree of Regional autonomy, then I am cool with the SE and North rotating the Presidency between them forever because both region don't understand the concept of national/regional progressivism. The essence of life is to be happy and fulfilled. Yorubas understand they can create an environment to foster that for their people if they can get to define the SW in their own image. How some Nigerians don't see that the Nigerian Presidency, in even 10 years, will be a redundant institution is incredible. It cannot be any other way.
|
SmartPolician:Don't fool yourself. Peter Obi is not on top of nothing and no one. Nigerian leaders do not rate him at all. They simply tolerate and patronise him. It is ordinary Nigerian, the fans of other politicians like Tinubu etal, that talk about him because they passionately want Obi to fail duel to his virulent, abusive, bullying and extremely lawless supporters who go around in extremism and doing far beyond the realm of decency . Imagine bullying a national treasure in Wole Soyinka and threatening to unalive the the family of Reno Omokri. Don't fool yourself. Many of us don't rate the failure Obi at all. We know what majority of obidient are and what their agenda is.

Parachoko:Nigerian leaders do not understand the concept of aligning processes structurally. Instead we use subsidies to hide what are fundamental wrongs no national system should facilitate. The likes of Lagos and Rivers are essentially subsidizing the VAT shortfalls of other States , in a warped form of retrogressive communism, whereas Nigeria States should be forced to generate more VAT, IGR and greater diversity of wealth creation activities . Communist 'gbajue' that we run, through subsidizing virtually every sector and process, is what is killing Nigeria because it does not stimulate the productivity of human resources for wealth/solutions creation whereas that is the best way to develop societies and nations. How can a hand-out culture help any of us grow individually let alone States of Nigeria that have to meet the needs of millions? Handing out subsidies , rather than seeking to create a system of incentivised wealth creation, breeds indolence and laziness and kills the zeal of man to create solutions. The ability of nations to create solutions for their own problems, and even export those solutions, generates wealth and, most importantly , the ability to adequately strengthen every sector from power generation, education, food sufficiency, manufacturing, security, etc, etc, etc. Everything in dumb and frustrating Nigeria is about 'sharing formula' instead of us seeking to create a system where all States, as much as possible, can be optimally productive and self-sustaining. Private sector wealth is the way forward but we have instead created a system with too many civil servant, immigration offices, customs and excise workers etc, etc government has to pay when the productivity of each worker may not even be 15%. There is no Governor, since 1999, that has innovatively championed the needs for States to be self-sustaining more than Tinubu with his drive for IGR growth in Lagos. This is why I question the intelligence of Nigerians, comparing the dullardly failure Obi to Tinubu, and agree with the CEO of Moniepoint when he said the intelligence Quotient of Nigerians is low, in comparison to others, meaning his business could not justify employing Nigerians, even as they tried to discriminate in that direction, to accommodate that 'affirmative action' concept. |
lawani:God bless you. I have made this same point countless times here. Can we not simply be mature about the fact we are very different people who need different geographical spaces instead of continuing to fool ourselves with 'one Nigeria' idiocy, benefiting only the political and elite class, till Rwanda-style ethnic genocide is upon us? Tinubu has done spectacularly well moving us forward even as Nigerians addicted to weaponised poverty, other previous leaders have used to keep them docile, cannot see that. People forget, as two examples of many I can cite easily, he created regional development commissions for all geopolitical blocs of Nigeria the FG is funding and has fought, through the Court, to deliver full autonomy to local Government where each and everyone of us lives. Why is the black man, especially the African variety, so unprogressive and self-destructive for God sake? If we all have sense and are even minimally progressive people, rather than self-destructive niggas, there should not even be a Presidential election in 2027. We should simply convene a sincere national conference to thrash out the modality of how the demands below from SW Governors, proposed in 2021, can be put in place and fully operational within six months. How many more decades must we go forcing unnatural, destructive and unworkable unity? The definition of insanity is doing things the same way, over and over again, expecting a different outcome. What Soludo is doing is badly needed , visionary and brave. Other leaders should support him with it. Mass poverty and illiteracy has left Nigerians at the mercy of religious leaders who peddle false hope of miracles and "divine intervention".. It really is a very serious problem that must be tackled. For Nigeria to be great, we must deliberately reduce the influence of religion in national life and accentuate STEM. Science, technology, Engineering and mathematics that mastery of can solve most problems of society |
anonimi:Lol. Rambling off topic as usual. Are those your words below or not? "politics is a game of DECEPTION" . If you admit they are, then walk away and stop embarrassing yourself. |
esau0007:Exactly what some of us have insisted continuously. It is not even him alone. It is Atiku and a considerable number of his fellow born-to-rule Northern supremacists and imperialists. I personally don't think Nigeria has a united future as currently convened. Either we go out way peacefully under full regional economy, that will be fair to all and birth progressive emancipation for all regions of Nigeria, or we disintegrate violently. |
jogojogo:They all are bro. Did OBj and the South not do everything to respect rotation agreement? Was Yar Adua, a Fulani, not installed as President after OBJ? How did GEJ become President? He sent Yar Adua into exile and simply took over? Atiku should tell us. I really don't believe 'one Nigeria' has a future because Nigeria is full of too many people who don't understand the concept of equity and fairness towards others. |
anonimi:Lol. I am glad you you have used your own mouth to 'cast' yourself. I have always accused you of being a fraud. Thank you for implicating yourself. You have now admitted that "politics is a game of DECEPTION" you believe Atiku should engage in to land in Aso Rock. God is wonderful. No weapon fashioned against Nigeria (be it Atiku or Obi) shall prosper. |
DatNiggaDaz:Lol. Typical Obidient. Me and Aswani are similar how? You Obidients only make fools of yourselves showing, time and time again, you are too emotional to deal with the reality of Nigeria. Please show the prominent and critically important Nigerian leaders behind Obi today. Only those who wish to loot Nigeria dry, perhaps even turn us into an extension of the terrorised Sahel nations, will be behind Obi who has no mentees, no loyalist, no established political bloc and, most importantly, no leaders of gravitas and conviction behind him. |
DatNiggaDaz:Lol. Obvious you are not a winner and don't aspire to be one anytime soon being a rabid fan of Obi. Please remind me of the outcome of the battle of Obasanjo v Tinubu and Obasanjo V Obi. If we are talking strictly about men, willing to win, because they understand they must follow and be inspired by winners alone , then what should we conclude about Obidients following Obi who has fled virtually every battle/opponent he has faced? From the earliest time in history, even in caveman era, leadership has always being about bravery and capacity of men to be at the front leading others into conflict to win. Show us one example of your empty Messiah Obi doing that. Yet you enemies of Nigeria are here daily telling us he can lead our nation against literally the thousands of monsters cowardly Obi cannot dare look in the face as we saw him flee to hide from OBJ and Atiku ( PDP primaries 2022) and ADC presidential ticket battle 2026. You Obidients cannot appreciate how others perceive you https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/05/peter-obi-was-afraid-of-obasanjo-victor-umeh/

numericalguy:Well-said. Omokri and virtually all Nigerian leaders have seen that Obi is a coward, charlatan, fraud and weakling with how he has always fled every confrontation with others. Nigeria is the worst nation to be that way as a leader because other leaders will view you a joke they can dominate. For example, Is Omokri not aware the same Obasanjo that Obi was scared of was the same person Tinubu went toe to toe with and dominated? Tinubu rid the SW of the PDP goons of OBJ !! These are the psychology statements of life many of us don't even know is at play in our daily lives and interactions that men like Niccolo Machiavelli, Genghis Khan, Sun Tzu (art of War) etc made amazing observation about literally hundreds of years ago that is precisely valid today about human interaction and the way to win at it. Especially if you want to lead . Obi fails every single test that should define what a leader should be. Flees every battle. Sycophantic weakness. Sucks up to those he must stand up to. Etc, etc. Ordinary Nigerians (because majority can never have the talent to be leaders or think like leaders in a society) are the ones who believe in Obi. Nigerian leaders don't respect Obi. Period. That is on Obi completely because leaders respect others they know have the aura, talent and capacity to be leaders. Nigerians who understands the Idiosyncrasies of our nation know Presidency is not Obi's level at all. He would be worse than GEJ with how low level chumps would be ridiculing and defying him even as he is supposed to have ultimate Presidential power. |
Obidients are like Obi. They don't understand the rules of life. Men, even bullies, will always think twice stepping up to other men they know carry authoritative menace. No Nigerian leader views Obi like that. Kenneth Okonkwo, for example, ridicules Obi these days haven gotten close to note Obi lacks leadership balls and persona. Omokri approached Obi as he did because he does not view Obi a meritoriously fitting leader. That's the uncomfortable truth Obidients won't wish to confront. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/05/peter-obi-was-afraid-of-obasanjo-victor-umeh/

When will you people drop this silly "only one watch" type of propaganda you believe people will dumbly swallow? Peter Obi don cast. 2022 he had the appeal of Olosho wey move to new area. Not anymore. Most Nigerians now know Obi is a fraud. Save your data for more productive browsing bruv. |
Goodvibes007:Well-said. I am Ijebu. We are liberal, accommodating and welcoming to outsiders. Yet we are not mugs and don't play like that. Ijebus are some of the most criticically and analytically intelligent Yorubas you can come across. We are decisively quick to check awon a la se ju. History confirms that. |
1nice:No imagination. Always following after others have set the pace. Like your fraudulent Messiah and Agulu charlatan who will never be President and us destined to lag behind better men and leaders. You could only unimaginatively come up with "1k person" after you lot were busted as 2k cheapos like your cheapskate messiah. What a joke. Una no dey shame? |
Radicalwarrior:Lol. Do you know how sad and pathetic copy Cats are? No one takes them serious because copying others always shows you copy Cats know you are inferior hence the reason you must take your lead from those better than you. Ogbeni, where is "Village boy" today you rushed to model on City boy? Lol. Na "1K Tinubu supporters" Una wan trend currently, when you previously called us 30k Data boys, because you lot have been exposed as cheapskates accepting 2k to go up and down making noise? Less money than my gateman spends on his lunch lol. You lot are even cheaper than your messiah wey no dey spend "shishi" Abeg cry harder lol. |
Look at them. Obidients aways revealing themselves as dullards and followers only able to take their lead from those who always confidently know the way. City boy led. They came up with dumb and unimaginative Village boy that has now flopped and no one even talks about anymore. Exposed and busted as 2k cheapos, they want to trend "1k Tinubu supporters". When you are better you are simply better i.e Tinubu crew. Same way Obi cannot wipe Tinubu's shoes by any index of comparison. That is how God made it. |
Maj196:If you, your brother and your father aren't ready to stop them "recycling" themselves then stop complaining. No one has told you political leadership is for alien from Mars or Jupiter alone. You can get involved to be the change you want or stop those you believe are misrulers "recycling" themselves. |
Human beings naturally and understandably hate what appears entitlement mentality. Yet Abbas is constitutionally allowed to go for a fifth term pitching himself as best candidate. It is for those who think they can do better to challenge and remove him. Nigerians need to understand the concept of showing up to be the change they want. Abbas is not the one? Dedicate a focused challenge to depose him or shut up. He does not have to leave his position to please anyone and he has done no wrong going for another term in office. |
Ebubu6:Bro, you don't know Tinubu and how unconventional he is. He is a project manager as well as a talented Politican. He will accomodate whoever will make the project work. Look at Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu plus even Hamzat. Non was a rugged or core strong man Lagos political leader like Musiliu Obanikoro for example. PBAT pushed and got the support to make them Governor. If Soludo fits the project then Tinubu can make it happen. After all, there will be 4 years, after he returns in 2027, to plan for his 2031 successors. |
Evelynluv20:He is mocking the "Yoruba but" liberals who have empowered their bitter enemies with their over-accomodating 'wokeness' in Yoruba land others will never extend to Yorubas in their region. |
FSBoperator:Saw it ojare my bro. Was trying to show that dude to provide response, one way or the other, to the question you asked instead of engaging in personal attacks as those lot are fond of. |
Ofunaofu:What is wrong with you. Did NDC officially zone her Presidential ticket to the South? Can you provide a definitive answer to his question rather then launching a senseless tirade against the OP? Nigeria is failing because most of you prefer wahala and noise than having the calmness to brainstorm for answers and solutions.
