Nice picture. Could it be a picture of two men who may later work together directly as leaders of the biggest black nation on Earth and the most powerful nation in the world respectively?
|
zomby:Indeed. Developments like these are what reinforces the opinion of those, like myself, who insist Nigeria must separate if even it will be under regional autonomy. We are too prejudiced against each other to build a great nation together. Why then so we not accept this reality to then make it a formal agreement for us all to go and define our corners of Nigeria as we see fit? |
Ijoba85:Do you make allowance at all for the clear and strict provisions of the Nigerian constitution in your thinking? This is why it is always A, B and C. Not C ,A and B. So far as Nigerians are not willing to come together to force Government to enact constitutional amendment, to rid our constitution of some moribund stipulations inserted to protect the interest of the elite and political class, then we are going nowhere. While we all agitated for our own messiah to take charge, and even as they can perform better than others, the major changes that can rapidly accelerate the growth and development of Nigeria will not be achieved until the 1999 constitution is revised and amended sincerely to make it an enabler of growth and development of our nation rather than a protector the elite and political class. |
As they say "the Devil is in the details". Nigerians will always miss that because they are sentimental, biased and prejudiced to a degree that damages the ability to think critically and logically. “The ‘me me’ attitude will not cut it. And I expect maybe Peter Obi and Kwankwaso to sit down with an elder statesman like Atiku Abubakar to say, look, how are we going to share this power?Baba Yusuf, above, is accusing Obi and Kwankwaso of the 'me me' attitude. Yet who is the ultimate 'me me' politicians, for countless reasons, than the Atiku he is subtly campaigning for? The likes of Baba Yusuf are so arrogant and they talk the way they do because they know Southerners dislike themselves and are not united as they are. Even this thread confirms this with how many made it about mocking Obi without recognising the imperialists arrogance of Baba Yusuf in suggesting it is fine the North usurp the turn of the South as if Southerners dare try similar if it were the turn of the North. While I am no fan of obi, Baba Yusuf is a Northern born-to-rule supremacist and imperialist disdainful of Southerner. Crystal clear. He is not honourable, does not respect the South and feels the North must size power in 2027. These are the sort of people who believe Nigeria belongs to them and that they are superior to others even though, so far in our history, Nigeria makes no significant progress when the North is in charge. They will set Nigeria on fire because they have no regard at all for others and only want their own region, religion, culture etal to dominate others. If not Baba Yusuf should not be promoting a 2027 Atiku Presidency that is an insult to the South and will be the beginning of serious disillusionment of Southerners likely to hasten the break up of Nigeria. Southerners are not slaves of Fulanis. Currently, all that is good about Nigeria is the south. Baba Yusuf and his fellow born-to-rule supremacists should bear that in mind. They are the ones causing existential problems for Nigeria, with terrorism they are failing to take responsibility for and tame, yet they cannot even have allow South have her 8 years in power. |
Ebubu6:Not a bad combo at all. Soludo in place of Umahi is also workable in my opinion. |
onuman:How can the bolded be the job of an NSA? Is it not the responsibility of political and religious leaders of Nigeria? Is our NSA a political or religious leader rather than a security leader? Where in the world do you see security chiefs advocating what adherent of different religions must do or not do worshipping their faith? Some of you will sink because of prejudice and bias that fog your visions and reasoning. |
Mexyz:I should respond to him how? Like you, he is ignorant of the big picture. Do you know the fundamental problems of Nigeria that will prevent Nigeria from ever becoming close to developed if unresolved? Tell me how many of those fundamental problemsGEJ made effort to bravely tackle. None is the answer. Whereas I can list at least 5 of those fundamental problems that Tinubu, against serious opposition, has put reforms in place to tackle. The problem is weaponized poverty has made Nigerians believe that eating, having cheap fuel and reproducing is all they can aspire to. Of course the socio-economic reality of the GEJ period meant Jonathan could continue pandering to that simplistic deception of the life Nigerians believe is the best they can have. Tinubu is different. He is a reformer who has arrived at a time Nigeria was the worst it has ever being. He is doing what transformational leaders do with talent, vision and bravery GEJ does not have. If you cannot see that then it means your belief about life starts and end with eating, having cheap petrol, cheap substandard higher education and a few kids low per capita income might prevent you raising optimally. Any average leader can secure and maintain that for you and other Nigerians as past presidents have done for Nigerians for decades now . Meanwhile the leader Nigeria needs, so we become a great nation, is the one who can make Nigeria developed delivering a diversified economy making us substantially richer, assisting SME proliferation, making it possible for you to own your home bought with 20 years mortgage previously unavailable, have quality higher education that means your graduate son can be a highly paid expatriate worker in South Africa, evolve a credit system that allows Nigeria have all the things they want linked to monthly deduction from their salaries, etc, etc, etc, etc. If you want to know a big difference between GEJ and Tinubu that demonstrates they are worlds apart, consider how GEJ was lazily borrowing to pay salary , even as he knew the solution that would stop that nonsense, while Tinubu ended that, full stop, bravely removing fuel subsidy GEJ could not achieve. The issue is exposure. Those without it, and do not know what obtains elsewhere, will of course believe their lives was fabulous under GEJ. Those who are exposed, and understand majority of the world live far better than Nigerians do, will understand what we must aspire to and why Tinubu is the best President since 1999 for his committment to making Nigeria a developed nation with reforms that are punitive in the short term but will move many out of deprivation and generational poverty in the future. Go and study how China and Singapore did it so you know what transformational leadership is so, hopefully , you stop this idiocy about GEJ. |
onuman:Can you listen to yourself? Do you even understand Nigeria? How can transformational leaders get into positions to transform Nigeria if they don't have the pragmatic wisdom to make choices that can allow them gain the support of the majority to get into those positions? Ribadu should "start renunciation of Islamic Sharia criminal justice system adopted by his northern Nigeria's far north states" and he will be supported by which Northerner exactly to get into the position (perhaps Presidency) he can use to deliver real change to the North? The facts in the public domain has always marked out Ribadu as a moderate Northerner. Yet he cannot isolate himself at home, in the North, acting as you suggest. Leadership is different to followership. If you can think as a leader must, you will understand the challenges.
|
Legitiscool:Anybody mentioning GEJ, as someone who can take Nigeria forward, I cannot even indulge. Take your wahala somewhere else. You don't even have 10% visibility of the problems of Nigeria let alone be able to identify solutions. |
Lovit:Be fair. What, in his history, is the factual evidence that leads you to make this claim against Ribadu? |
koxyz:Ribadu would be a good fit for the Job. A good alternative would be someone like Dogara. The next President from the North should be a moderate and brave reformer who can take local discomfort and attack to challenge the North to ditch traditional indoctrination and values to reform and become an asset to itself and Nigeria. |
SadiqBabaSani:What you people will never accept, because of ethno-religious chauvinism, is that many realities of Nigeria make it difficult to battle the root causes of our major problem. Terrorism in Nigeria is linked to fundamentalist Islam many leaders in the North, covertly and overtly, support. What is ideology-based, in the head and hearts of people, cannot be fought with guns. That is what ethnocentric devotees like you, quick to dismiss Tinubu so you can present Obi the messiah, will never acknowledge . Ribadu can only do his best. If many of us played our part to make certain demands on the North then perhaps results could be much better. People like you are not ready to be part of the solution because, even if you don't know it, you are exactly like politicians dribbling Nigerians while the house is burning. Including your charlatan messiah Obi. Can Obi, for example, fight the problem below all Nigerians must demand the North confront and conquer so they desist being a problem to the rest of us who are assets to nation? Listen to the commentator below specifically insist the "mindset" of the North will destroy Nigeria. What are you and your messiah Obi doing about that? Obi will visit the North and lie to them "lack of opportunity" is the problem of the region, because he is seeking their vote, while he will never confront the biggest problem the man below identifies that will eventually take Nigeria down if we all continue fto avoid making a determined and conscious effort to resolve it. Nigerians aren't ready to tackle problems sincerely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn8m6JvitI0?si=CCFJwuarH-NeTfFS |
sweerychick:Insecurity in Nigeria is complex. Governors of the North are even confessing today their efforts to fight insecurity is being compromised by their own people's aiding terrorists in many ways and being their informants. This is the considerable ideological component to Nigeria's terrorism problem. This is the hardest challenge, linked with insecurity, even military might cannot dominate. When a people key into the concept of living according to Islamic laws, as their clerics and religious leaders present it, they are indoctrinated towards siding with terrorists and extremist to then see the authority (Government, Military, Air force etal) as enemies they must fight and defeat Those who do not carry guns then commit to serving the 'cause' in different capacity. Whether by being informants or supplying food to terrorist in their enclaves. Etc, etc. Islamic nations of the world have grappled with this complicated component of terrorism for decades with no success. You tell us how easy such is for Ribadu, one man, to defeat. |
Parachoko:No one is perfect but Ribadu is a proper Nigerian. He has proven it beyond doubt when he served under OBJ as pioneer EFCC chairman. |
"Pastor" invoking death on his fellow men over politics? This one is no man of God and his congregation are spiritually doomed attending his church and listening to his warped sermons. |
DomPerignon:Lol. 100% correct. For years I have labelled Obi a "food is ready" politician. I.e one who is never available to help prepare the meal yet turns up at the dining table demanding the biggest portion of food. To my amusement, Wike called Obi same few days ago. I don laugh tire. https://www.thecable.ng/extra-wike-mocks-obis-ndc-defection-says-he-moves-where-food-is-ready/ |
Bentacur007:Lol. When will you get it? Loads of people don't like you lot and your Messiah Obi. |
Daddyk87:Lol. Why is everything about 'knacking' with you Nigerians? I think it must be the aphrodisiac in Periwinkles, Snails and other seafood una dey chop. |
PDPdestroyer:Lol. Totally agree. |
danijesus:Lol. Yes OO. We believe you. No group love Nigeria more than Obidients who became emergency lovers of our nation after Obi officially entered the race to be President in 2022. I salute you for your superior love of our nation.
|
frog12:They are all terrible and wicked. They subsidised Nigeria into poverty and made our average kinsmen to even praise living conditions wicked and worthless leaders put them in that meant pet in developed nations eat and live better than many Nigerians. It is like getting people hooked on crack cocaine and Heroine. The most addictive drugs in the world many do not come back from. How do we reverse that evil done against Nigerians, by several wicked past President, without reforms that must come with some pain? Can Heroine and crack Cocaine addicts get clean with painful withdrawal therapy? Is it better to live with the daily pain of a rotten tooth for years? Or go to the dentist to get an extraction, painful initially, to then be normal, pain-free and permanently healed a month after? This is a concept Nigerians have no capacity to understand plus of course we must add the mischief and misinformation of professional bigots who know the truth (obidients and Atikulate) yet keep lying their candidate is the messiah. No short fixes, my dear brothers and Sisters. We don't have the money or diversified economy to solve all of Nigeria's major problems in 4 months or even 4 years as most Nigerians believe is possible whereas 20 years is actually a more practical time frame. |
manuelkel:You did not see Atiku's name.also? I have just stated critical facts that should make any progressive adult, wanting the best for Nigeria, think critically. Instead mention of Obi is all you noted? You messiah worshipper of that mediocre fraud need to get a grip and try working with reality if you truly love Nigeria and want best for her. Yet I know that is not possible with you Obidients. |
Saturnalia:Well-said. Hardly no nation of the world where people are not groaning today over hardship talk less of Nigeria that did so much wrong for decades that has then left the Tinubu Government with horrendous problems to fix. Today we have read Federal Minister of Power from 2019 to 2021 (under Buhari) has been convicted of stealing 33.8 billion Naira. One person. That is around £15 million pounds sterling today !!!! With 500 stealing similar (very possible) is it not obvious Nigerians are childishly ignorant believing Tinubu is the problem and simplistically insisting a charlatan like Obi is the messiah? |
This dude was Federal minister of power of Nigeria 2019–2021 under Buhari. He was busy stealing and never did anything productive. Same as was the case under GEJ. We all known non cost-reflective tariffs and the huge debt GEJ and Buhari owed GENCOs and DISCOs, trillions, are two of the main problems preventing adequate power supply today. Adelabu is the only power Minister to attempt putting in place gradual removal of subsidy in the power sector, with banding, that will address the issue of non cost-reflective tariffs that has prevented the privatised Nigerian power sector attracting foreign investor cash that can transform our power sector for the better immensely. Tinubu has just put together a 3.3 trillio Naira package to pay debts GEJ and Buhari owed GENCOs and DISCOs. Yet any sane and fairly intelligent person can believe Atiku and Obi fans claiming Adelabu is "Minister of darkness" and Tinubu has failed in the power sector? What should be the conclusion regarding the failure of GEJ and Buhari if Nigerians are not a weapon fashioned against themselves? Regional autonomy is the way abeg because when a solutions provider arrives, clearly making moves not seen before to solve the crazy problems others have caused, and Nigerians can only tag that leader a failure then it is clear we should all go and lead ourselves in our geopolitical zones independently. |
Jakumo:Lol. 100% correct about the bolded. Like women too much and your car will always be at the mechanic from crashing it looking at yansh. What I love about Nigeria, as someone who has always appreciated beautiful things, is the stupendous variety Nigerian females beauty comes in. Ghana, South Africa, Gambia, Sudan, Somalia etal. Beautiful women but more rigidity of looks. There is a definitive type. Walk the streets of Lagos and there is no type. Fair, dark, etc, etc. Nigerians is truly blessed. Our over 400 ethnic group composition is a blessing yet we are not using that as positive and emancipating strenght. I am sure Sowore has a shorty if he is not gay. You dont even have to be mega rich to have an extremely privileged life in Nigeria. Earn well, be able to offer comfort and most women are automatically in your range. The likes of Sowore, if he is a connoisseur of female beauty as some of us are, will find Nigeria an incredible play ground. Trust me bro, most of these guys have incredibly hedonistic lifestyle in Nigeria they do not wish to ever relinquish. You should ask yourself why Sowore is always in Nigeria and has made it his permanent abode since relocating back several years ago to engage in politics. Nigga is in Nigeria many months and his wife is in the USA. Where is he getting 'relief' from? All these niggas know Nigeria is a beautiful country full of beautiful people. It is basically negro "I want to be top Dog" ego making them incapable of working together to make Nigeria work. |
Kanwulia:Yorubas aren't fools. We know whats up. We just don't believe in redundant dramatic pontifications you lot historically always engage in to then still fail in the end. Our Govenors did what is shown below your leaders will never ever have the balls to do meaning we know where Nigeria is heading and how our own future must shape out. We are ready to chase that future politically, which is always the way to achieve results in Nigeria, and not through Sunday Igboho. We aren't going to escape "injustice" the way Kanu was going about it you people then decided to follow him blindly to prosecute. Constitution done shenk us us per outright balkanisation of Nigeria into seperate nations. We must work smart to gain what is shown below. If you guys aren't ready to work for regional autonomy, essentially same as having Biafra in all but name, and remain dedicated to following the preaching and methods of Kanu, then own the consequences and don't cry, as you are doing today, when the worst happens. You can't fight Government and constitution to emerge winners. Not possible. Especially not with the cowardly leaders you lot have incapable of what is shown below. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/swest-govs-propose-six-regions-demand-lg-autonomy-resource-control/%3famp
|
Jakumo:Lol. You may be correct Jakumo. No negro into fake life and deception more than Nigerian men. Sowore and his wife may have even been long divorced/seperate and just co-parenting, while he maintains a beautiful young shorty in Nigeria, yet pretends to the world he is a "responsible" and "happily married family man". I personally know so many Nigerian egbons currently engaged in that lifestyle. No be say dem tell me. Dem get UK, Canada and US wife, the mother of their kids, while parading fine young Naija wife up and down Lagos and Abuja. Sowore is a very dodgy bloke. So many things don't add up with that dude. |
Kanwulia:So what? I can give it to Kanu that he called some things right but that does not make him a Phrophet because some of us, including myself, made same calls. It is not Rocket Science. Of course I agree Nigeria's main ethnic groups should forge different and independent socio-economic lives in their geographic regions. 'One Nigeria' is a horrid scam , only the elite and politicians benefit from massively, that is behind all the problems of Nigeria and will ensure we never optimally utilise our god-given endorsement to become a developed nation. Yet we have a constitution that forbids secession and as a Yoruba, given we prefer working smarter than harder with you lot interpreting that to be "cowardice", I believe balkanisation of Nigeria is off the table unless we gain constitutional amendment to allow it. That is unlikely to happen because those parasitically attached to one Nigeria will never vote such through their agents in our legislative arm. Critical-thinking and pragmatic Nigerians, who understands life is about results not ego, will know regional autonomy is the way forward. That is what I support also. You guys are the ones who indulged Kanu with his redundant and outlawed pursuit of secession when you know there is only ever going to be one outcome given the crystal clear provisions of the Nigerian constitution. Igboho will never get anywhere with Yorubas trying what Kanu made many of you guys embrace. That's the truth and an illustration of how fundamentally different Yorubas and Igbos are. If you guys were like Yorubas, who can and will always reign in aberrant behaviour from their own then Kanu would have been disavowed of the extremism he believes is the only way to achieve his objectives. Meaning he could have become a pivotally important Igbo leader today. His fate is on you lot. Stop crying today about Kanu when you all had a duty to guide him towards the right path yet indulged and followed his aberrant ways |
Kanwulia:I agree with your conclusion about Sowore. Yet he is precisely same as Kanu. It is you guilty of hosting a "bigoted psyche" and that is why Kanu is a "truth-telling" Saint in your eyes rather than the dangerous anarchist and criminal he is . That is the difference between me and you and our ethnic groups essentially. I am advocating Sowore be dealt with for the greater good of society while you are preaching for Kanu to be given the keys to the manor so he can do as he pleases simply because he is your kinsman. |
Kanwulia:You are confusing yourself. I have no time for Sowore I believe is an anarchist and fifth columnist 💯%. I would love for him to be legally convicted and jailed. The likes of Sowore and Kanu should be dealt with severely and never indulged because they are both lawless and anarchic characters. |
Kanwulia:Lol. Same reason Kanu left his family, comfortably ensconced in the orderly UK, to begin causing problems and anarchy for Nigeria and Nigerians. |
Good. The case should be pursued to the end and an example made of Sowore. Too much misbehaviour in Nigeria by the well-heeled, setting bad example to impressionable Nigerians, because they feel they are above the law. Sowore called our President a criminal then let him prove that precisely or face the consequences of defaming the character and name of PBAT. |
