yarimo:Leave am. As Timaya sang when eyes go clear, dem no dey telli person. I tell you you no gree |
Validated:ADC does not stand a chance because her ticket will go to one of the born-to-rule lot, specifically Atiku, who do not give a toss about Obi or what you guys want. They don't respect Obi and the South to ever contemplate allowing him fly ADC flag. I just hope you are getting paid for this because all this lip service and image laundering you are doing for ADC, full of the same ruinous hands that got Nigeria where she is today, will turn out a waste of your time and effort if no 'reward' is involved. |
CodeTemplar:Oga, you are not making sense with the gibberish no one can understand. Tinubu will keep doing his thing and recording many firsts, as he has already done, to the displeasure of enemies of Nigeria's progress. |
CodeTemplar:@Ballmer. We no talk am? Some people are so predictable. They now say talking of transformative progress is "malicious". Comprehension issues, along with an obsession with automatically discrediting every good Tinubu does, is a troubling issue for some folks. If criticism should arrive, should it not be preceded by praises for infrastructural development effort, others had ignored for decades, by all progressive and well-meaning Nigerians? PBAT will keep shaming them sha. |
Ballmer:Indeed. Let us see if even one of them will comment positively about the bolded below since they appear permanently fixated with bad news and averse to good news even when such benefits them immensely. Clearly Tinubu is doing everything to empower and please every region of Nigeria but I think he underestimates how hardened m like Stone, the hearts of some is. Reconstruction work on the critical Sagamu–Ijebu Ode–Ore–Benin Expressway is reaching an advanced stage, with noticeable achievements being recorded daily on key sections of the highway. The Federal Government’s intervention is aimed at restoring the strategic route that links the South-West to the South-South and South-East regions of the country. |
Bizibi:This is why I wrote "if" regarding Delta State. What I know with Lagos though, even as no State is corruption-free, is that it is a State, unlike many others, that has mainly always delivered as it says it will since 1999. Look at the Lagos Metro rail critics mocked as an "Avenue of looting". It is fantastic today with blue line soon to extend from Marina (where it currently terminates) to Epe. Meanwhile the intra-city rail projects Amaechi and Peter Obi 'signed' MOUs for are a distant memory today. |
jmoore:Why do you guys just like arguing blindly and being obtusely contrarian? Only a mischievous, insincere or unreasonable person who has never stepped outside Nigeria, to note how police officers are treated elsewhere, will deny that poor pay and renumeration is a direct contributory factor to the NPF being riddled with corruption, to augment grossly inadequate salaries, that affects professionalism and efficiency. Your statement, in bold, is totally asinine because the police cannot attract the best men and women in Nigeria to join its ranks if it cannot provide them with good salary and rewarding careers. If a Policeman unhappy with grossly inadequate pay resigns, as you callously suggest instead of demanding they be paid fair wages and looked after well if a compassionate Nigerian, who replaces him other than an unscrupulous Nigerian who knows he can augment what is ludicrously insufficient pay with bribes, extortion and even false imprisonment of others? If all good men and woman, who are our brightest, avoid the police because of criminally poor pay, do you want to go and recruit from Somalia, Niger Republic, Uganda or Mali? How many Nigerians have, including Nollywood actors, have left our nation to join the US Army because of how rewarding bwing a Solider is as a career over there? UK police force also. This is why many of our Doctors leave for better pay and career rewards abroad as their colleagues over there enjoys. I don't know what I was thinking quoting an Obidients anyway given that you are patently unreasonable and only look for anything to use discrediting/demarketing Nigeria and the government in power. Never ever solutions. |
jmoore:Extortion is directly linked to poor pay, welfare package and remuneration. As simple as that. I am pretty sure Nigerian police are treated the worst in the world yet we expect miracles from them. Remember the saying "you get what you pay for". No living wages and adequate remuneration then no professional, motivated and competent police force. |
Bizibi:If Delta has implemented that, and such has improved security appreciably, then kudos to them. |
Dreal1247:Enough of the nauseating messianic worship of Obi. Did he just fall from the sky meaning he has no history or past to judge him with? He serves food you praise him greater than Jesus. Carries a bag for 2face and you officially demand he be made President of the world. Fact is that Obi is just being duplicitous and deceitful as usual. Did he not benefit from Abacha's connections, at a time many Nigerians were groaning in pain under the evil dictator, to make make a lot of money? The fact he has not been able to build any political Party, after been gifted APGA through the connection of Ojukwu, show how much of a dishonest and patronising person Obi is. He has benefitted from "connection" many times now he wants to pretend otherwise to fool ordinary Nigerians because He believes all of us are unlettered like the market women he buys corn from for his contrived photo shoot deception. The words Charlatan and hypocrite in the dictionary should be replaced with "Peter Obi" officially. https://www.facebook.com/festus.o.ojo1/videos/peter-obi-david-mark-and-dele-momodu-who-all-benefited-from-abacha-the-biggest-t/26128554126836436/

alanto:Him and his co-travellers have one simple modus operandi they have operated with from time immortal. I.e the mentality that "an enemy of my enemy is my friend". They will blindly support and defend the Devil if he suddenly becomes an enemy of Tinubu. Never mind that fact we all know the havoc and evil the Devil can wreak. Ask them who/what Kanu and IPOB were originally fighting and agitating against and most of them have forgotten because Tinubu is now their greatest enemy in the world. |
Omoboricash:This is why some of us insist that power must remain in the south , per the rotation agreement, till 2031. Nothing visionary or progressive , to move our nation towards developed nation status, happens for Nigeria under Northern leadership because that is not what most Northern leaders want. They prefer to go and enjoy all that a developed nation has to offer in Dubai, even buy homes there, and keep their people subjugated in penury and illiteracy at home in Northern Nigeria. We do not need a Rocket scientist to tell us that most Northern leaders, at all levels, are either sponsors or sympathisers of terror. Proof of this is how they attack Tinubu for a headache they gave Nigeria, beginning decades ago, yet will never be found doing anything at all to fight terror as only they can. Look at the efforts of Yoruba leaders, who formed Amotekun and fund it, to note sincerity of a people who have nothing to do with terrorism and hate it because of the loss of lives and livelihood it is causing their people. That is how sincere leaders behave. If you want to know a Southerner that is callous, self-serving and very wicked, it will be the one passionately supporting Atiku to be President in 2027 against the provision of the rotation agreement North benefitted from with 8 years under Buhari. It is only under brave and resolute Southern leadership, that excludes the likes of GEJ and Obi, that fundamental solutions, that will go a long way towards permanently solving some of the biggest problems of Nigeria, can emerge . Every intelligent and truthful person knows that the North , 💯%, would be exactly like Mali, Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, Mauritania etal had it not been joined with Nigeria by Lord Lugard. |
CodeTemplar:Gibberish. |
SmartPolician:Kudos. Buhari and Malami never ever contemplated doing this even as a long list of sponsors of terror was presented to them. The entire Arewa, to include Atiku, kept silent. Seems you are going back to a semblance of the old you before you got into the toxic tribal politics here that can warp the minds of the most progressive Nigerians if they lose sight of what matter most. I.e the socio-economic progress of Nigeria and Nigerians which should not revolve simplistically around the ethnicity of a President but his capacity. |
erniok:Lol. |
AMINDA:See me see trouble? Tinubu "sent Nnamdi Kanu to prison"? That is your take on issues? I am not surprised. Na you na.. Meanwhile objective and normal folks will see the obvious truth which is that Tinubu inherited a criminal case from an outgoing Governmnent ,which pivotally included Malami, obsessed with ensnared Kanu. It was personal for them. How can any reasonable person then expect Tinubu to interfere, with the world watching keenly, to free the head of the Snake when Finland had judiciously prosecuted and jailed Ekpa, a minion of Kanu, thus setting a precedence before the universe PBAT dare not defy given the damage such would do to Nigeria? I said it here, after Finland jailed Ekpa, it is over for Kanu. Commonsense. Epecially for those who know how Tinubu thinks . Of course Tinubu will never put the interest of one man or one emotional region above what is best for Nigeria. Tinubu is ruthlessly committed to presenting Nigeria as a destination of FDI, that can turn our nation round completely as Singapore showed, via showing we are a nation fully committed to respecting the rule of law, honouring contract and debt obligations plus showing capacity for operating to best global standards. He should set Nigeria back , and damage our socio-economic growth and progress, to please you people and the inordinately unreasonable love you have for one man? Do you know that, before Tinubu, Nigeria was frowned upon and downgraded for its lack of institutional integrity and respect for the rule of law? When and where has it been suggested in the world that one individual be allowed to be greater than what is best for a nation and her millions of inhabitants? Baba, look below at what Tinubu has done compared to all before him to the extent every corner of Nigeria, if we tame insecurity, will soon be awash with FDI. Kanu is nobody. Tinubu did not jail him. PBAT simply refused to abuse power intervening in Kanu's trial. It was Buhari and Malami that jailed Kanu to include the redntioning of Kanu from Kenya many legal experts insist is illegal. Bruv, Buhari and Malami entrapped and jailed Kanu. Never Tinubu. That you don't see that shows how you are mentally devoted to wrong ideologies, thoughts and individuals.

NewHe:Same thing I am wondering then I remember people like him have one modus operandi which is blind and bigoted support of those they view enemies of their enemies. Today this Aminda character is devoted to the removal of "Yoruba President" and he sees ADC as the vehicle. So his simple mission is to support everyone in the ADC from the dishonorable Fulanis looking to jettison the important power rotation agreement they benefitted from yesterday to claiming, Malami "was doing his job". Thi is same Malami who consipired to.ensure the South was powerless against heavily armed marauders and was responsible for the rendtioning of Kanu from.Kenya and subsequent seige in the SE Aminda is from. Today contrast the reality of the SE under Tinubu and our current AGF who does not have the personal and bigoted hatred of anyone to be obsessively looking, as a personal mission, for how to entrap and jail anyone from SE that Government is unhappy with. Yet Tinubu deserves his hate and demonisation more than Malami he currently jumps.to the defence of today over every issue. That guy is a piece of work honestly. |
AMINDA:Everything you must pettily make about Tinubu. Don't you have a second gear with the way you appear stuck in one perpetually? In case you lack the critical intellecf to discern the point being made, Lamido is hinting at the fact someone strutting around as a fighter of corruption has now being revealed a common thief with vast sums of overnight wealth he cannot accoun for. Yet you are talking about Malami "doing his job" an asinine and ridiculous claim for even the most rabid ADC supporter to make, while pivoting to attack Tinubu and our current AGF. You are irritating walahi. |
Parachoko:100% correct talk. |
timidapsin:I read the thread and know it said alleged. My message is for the many commenting as it the news is verified. Like the chap below insisted those who "died" are "sacrificial lamb". Surprising you don't correct those sort and it is my post, seeking to show those character the news is fake, you have issues with. Crystal clear you're prejudiced and harbouring a hidden agenda. If upright and a seeker of truth, then it is not those showing a reportage as fake you should have problem with. Leepeak: |
Complete fake news. Surprising people still comment on obvious fake news in this day and age of AI and existence of numerous near-instant fact check platforms.
|
lawani:You may be right because AI, even the same one, can give two different answers to same question at two different times in one day because it has used different sources of data to present it's conclusion. My point, which remains the same and despite any indices used, is that the SE has the smallest number by far ("fraction" as AI describes it) of non-Indigenes living there permanently in comparison to other region of Nigeria. This is direct confirmation, despite the numerous excuses Igbos give, of the principles of economic migration which is simply that people move where everything is better for them overall than where they are coming from. Majority of Nigerians avoiding the SE, despite Igbos making diversionary and senseless excuses of Anambra IGR plus Nnewi trillions etal, is proof Igbo land is not pleasing to Nigerians, socio-economically, as a region they would leave their States to relocate to permanently. This is the point I am making about the SW and SS when I insisted they are the most socio-economically valuable regions of Nigeria by far. |
Irony1:Ogbeni, stop lying. Anambra is your crown jewel in the SE and yet falls behind Lagos, Ogun and Oyo. Besides, despite your attempt at mischief, you appear intelligent and this is is why I accuse you of being an ethnic bigot. It is mainly ethnic bigot and those with hidden agendas who'd be intelligent and knowledgeable enough to know the truth yet will keep lying, falsifying statistics and manipulating facts to decieve. Mr and you know, beyond statistics that are subjective in Nigeria and therefore open to manipulation and numerous interpretations, I am talking about the SW and SS being Nigeria's most socio-economically productive regions by far in terms of the whole range and gamut of socio-economic indices and experiences that makes some geographical spaces more liveable and attractive to investment, permanent settlement of humanity from.different backgrounds and economic migration than others. First important fundamental concept to accept about humanity, putting the statistics and bullcrap aside, is that humans live and remain in geographical spaces they are most happy in because it offers them best mix of opportunities and personal fulfillment. How many, for example, are moving to your Anambra in comparison to how huge numbers Igbos are moving to Oyo, Ogun, Ondo etal permanently in search of better lives? Do you know what economic migration means? USA is richer than Sweden, Finland, New Zealand, Singapore etal yet when was the last time USA had been voted a better nation to live in than those others? Everything works best in Nigeria for ordinary Nigerians, across the spectrum of socio-economic realities that makes a geographical space attractive, in the SW and SS. Fact many statistics and on-ground reality support SW and SS, for example, are the two regions where there is tolerance and support for immigrants from elsewhere to build fulfilled and independent lives. Peaceful and tolerant environment, without a suffocating and bigoted overarching ethno-religious culture that is the case in the SE, also means businesses, FDI and humans will choose the SW and SS ahead of all others today. With Igbo one of Nigeria and Africa's biggest ethnic group claiming they are over 40 million and more than the Yorubas why then ( see proof below) only a fraction of Non-Igbos live in the SE than is the case with the SW and SS. Tell is why out of 35 million people in the SE 34.9 million are igbos, and I hope you can state honestly, for once, why economic migration bypasses/avoids Igbo land. Per your threat to sue me, I triple dare you. Don't stop at threats and talk. Do it
|
Irony1:What incitement? Stating truthfully the regions of Nigeria where things work well, as is expected of most functional nations, is incitement? Saying disregard for power rotation that keeps the very fragile peace and unity, in a badly divided nation, is wrong qualifies as "incitement"? Those guilty of incitement and pushing Nigeria to the brink are not those disregarding others doing the right thing to make Nigeria peaceful and socio-economically progressive while those who should be doing their best to be similar, by fixing up at home as the SW and SS have done, continue insisting they alone must rule Nigeria? You are saying all you do out of nothing but hatred for "Yoruba President" and Yoruba people. If not you'd know all I am saying is that "fair is fair in life". Even those causing the problem of our nation, assuming they remain decent, would reform and do the right thing and not be looking to lock up those speaking the truth for "incitement".

Lithiumite:I.ve said it many times because the truth has to be said even if some are uncomfortable with it.. No region giving Nigeria life glory and semblance of proper nationhood currently than the SW (over 70 to 80% of FDI inflow into Nigeria, biggest VAT remittances etal) and SS (crude income saustaining Nigeria that has a mono economy and lack diversification to be truly wealthy and great, plus second largest VAT remittance etal) where things still go on as if normal like other Nations. All other regions (wtih North Central not by deliberate design) are huge and disfunctional jokes in comparison to the SW and SS ala "Monkey dey work Baboon dey chop" situation. The core North is a war zone and killing field where all but the most roque of foreign Investors (Chinese etal) go to because they are the only sort willing to ignore the killings and deaths to then bribe bandits and terrorist to allow them operate there. The North Central is immature and with an identity too diluted with many small ethnic group (and not a single one big or accomplished enough to challenge marauders always in or around political power i.e Fulanis) to be anything other than like a child a much bigger and powerful adult smacks around easily. This is why they are painfullfy and tragically susceptible to the imported terror of Fulanis. North Central needs help from Fulani bullying and murderous territorial expansionism. North Central, as a definitive example, would struggle to have the unity, clout and homogeneity of purpose to bully through an equivalent of Amotekun as Yoruba leaders did One region I won't talk of since you can't mention them negatively here without a ban. Suffice to say they are in the South and a net deficit to Nigeria also. That is why I laugh when people think it will be possible for some Northern born-to-rule supremacists to dump the power rotation they always fully enjoy , bar the death of Yar Adua, and usurp power from one of the two Geese that lays Nigerias golden eggs. Tinubu can sleep well knowing honourable Northerners won't let it happen because they understand the ambition of some hawkish, power-obsessed and dishonorable Fulanis will triggers the beginning of the end of "one Nigeria" they cannot survive without. The lesson is that it is good to be good like people of the SW and SS who, all things taken into account, are the best in Nigeria with their regional reality, and how they live, reflecting this. Honorable mention to the North Central who are largely good people being overwhelmed by a much bigger forces they don't have the natural endowment to fight. |
Sannisege:True talk. Great and likeable people. Akwa Ibom ladies, for example, and virtually all I've met, are very underrated because of their qualities I believe make them good partners and wives. |
