CharlotteFlair:Lol. That is all you have to say ba after being schooled over your own hideous ignorance? You remind me of a favourite saying of my mother. "Olorun ma je ki a fi owo wa shé ara wa". Meaning may God not let us use our own hands to destroy ourselves which is what some of you ignorant guys who fail to educate yourselves, to become politically sophisticated, will end up doing. |
CharlotteFlair:Lol. Anyone still quoting APC and PDP, because they don't understand the immaturity of Nigerian politics to understand it is about integrity of individuals and not political Parties, is not ready to see the all-important big picture. GEJ and Buhari racked up debts of billions owed to PHCN for power supply to Aso Rock and, according to DISCOs and GENCOs, over 6 trillion Naira unpaid bill for power generation and distribution . GEJ and Buhari are in same Party to validate your absurd view of "na dis or dat Party dey damage Nigeria"? Meanwhile Tinubu has cleared debt initially claimed to be close to a billion owed PHCN for Aso Rockpower supply and created a solar solution as permanent fix. Tinubu has also reconciled debt owed DISCOs and GENCOs from 2013 and has agreed to pay 3.3 trillion Naira to deal with the impasse his predecessors caused. How much of the total debt was accrued under the PBAT Government compared to what GEJ and Buhari racked up? Yet, which President has decided to grab the bull by the horn only for ignorant Nigerians, who refuse to educate themselves , to be labelling him the problem? Keep saying "excuses upon excuses" without realising you're letting yourself down lagging behind other adults per capacity to think critically, logically and winningly. Read below to note what Tinubu is committed to resolve, caused by his predecessors, to improve power and keep misinforming yourself attacking the wrong President while same you will come out later to be praising GEJ "best ever" while your unlettered equivalent from the.North will tell us Buhari was wonderful and power woes today is 100% Tinubu's "inept" doing. People like you have a long way to go to be an asset to yourself let alone your societies and nations.
|
simpleseyi:Lol. Meanwhile, Obi and Amaechi who both claim they have what it takes to lead Nigeria have been exposed as glorified rail infrastructure scammers. Nigeria na cruise sha and Nigerians have the shortest memory in the world.
|
destinychildolu:How is Tinubu a "monster"? Show , with sound and verifiable arguments, what he could/should have done differently to turn Nigeria into Singapore overnight and I will come and dobale for you wherever you are. |
Zionmdde:Rubbish. If I ask you, for example, what is behind the poor state of power supply lately, when such is a simple and straightforward problem that has nothing at all to do with the Tinubu Government , would you be able to identify this problem? I doubt it. Would it surprise you to know that most reasonable, solution-seeking, mature, objective and informed Nigeria are aware of this particular problem that makes them understand the burden Tinubu is carrying and has not fled from addressing as others before him did? Many of you are part of the problem and you will keep rewarding leaders who cannot take you forward because of 'quick fix' mentality that prevents you educating yourselves to see what is obvious. Which, in the case of Nigeria, is that a wound that biologically takes six months to heal cannot defy how the body natural repair system works to be fully healed in 5 days. |
Of course it did and the result will be more amplified and visible over time. It is ony emotional, unintelligent and low-thinking people who cannot realise this. If adoption of fuel subsidy did not destroy Nigeria overnight, why would any sensible person expect it's removal to turn Nigeria into Singapore and Dubai overnight? It is like asking what good chemotherapy is doing for a cancer patient suffering the debilitation side-effects the treatment causes even as such will lead to remission that can allow the cancer victim to go on and lead a full and productive life. Embarrassing what critics and haters of the current government of Nigeria come up with. |
Awise09:See reasoning of another one that confirms he is the type senseless fake news and claims are created for. If the whole village insist you killed a child for money ritual, you will not rush to deny it ba if genuinely innocent? |
BATified2023:💯% correct and my own opinion also. 52 kobo out of every 1 Naira (over 50%) is making sense to what kind of adult mind? Is cost of production of cement ( materials , labour, logistics administration etal) zero to lead anyone believe Dangote cement can survive taking 48 kobo only out of 100 Naira ? This is why I will always insist that when the opposition and her supporters go to the extent of using lies and fabrication to demonize those in power, then they will be much worse voted into power. Personal integrity allows us all, leaders and followers, to make the right choices. Anyone, leader or follower, who does not have personal integrity will only destroy and never build. |
9jatriot:I don't understand how a reasonable and pragmatically intelligent adult cannot see things as clearly as you put it. Obidient forget that same way Obi bought Labour, to be her 2023 "consensus" Presidential candidate, is also what Atiku has done with ADC. As usual the hypocrisy of Obidients crystal clear for the world to see again. When Obi hijacked Labour Party, they praise such as "democracy" and "effort to rescue Nigeria". When Atiku does same with ADC they begin calling him names and cursing him whereas the rest of us saw, from the very beginning, ADC is a Fulani supremacists contraption they wish to deploy usurping power during the turn of the South. If Obi and Obidients are gullible enough to think such dishonorable and callous folks have their time, then both should DM me for details of a 500sqm land I have for sale in Banana Island for 10 million Naira only. Lol. |
@Op. When will you people ever have the capacity to shed sentiments and emotions so you can see the big picture? This is not about Atiku conceding the ticket so that that the best can win and lead Nigeria to glory. This is about born-to-rule Northern supremacists and hegemonists usurping power from Tinubu they need to begin feeding fat again. Atiku who did not care about rotation agreement and ran in 2023 when Buhari was leaving office, meaning it could have been 16 unbroken years of Fulani rule over Nigeria, resembles a person interested in democracy, peace, unity and progresses of Nigeria to the extent he will reason Obi matter? When has Atiku ever been a sacrificially reasonable person? He lives in Dubai and is absent when Nigeria is facing wahala to then show face in election year demanding to be made President. The Northerners who are learned, pragmatically intelligent and genuinely want what is best for Nigeria, like Dogara etal, are all behind PBAT. How you are then wasting your breath appealing to Atiku to concede ADC to Obi and Kwankwaso is beyond me since such is an exercise in futility. |
ogascomax:There won't be IMO. ADC will settle on consensus options. Nothing to stop them doing that because it makes sense on all levels. The inner caucus of ADC know Atiku is the one. They are just acting a movie to make his emergence appear democratic. Why spend a lot of money for the voting option, now it has been widened to go beyond selected delegates alone by new electoral reforms, when the ADC that has settled on Atiku needs money to spend elsewhere? Obi about to be disgraced and cast out again as happened in 2022 when he fled PDP to avoid confronting his Fulani overlords. Nigerians need to remember that same way Obi bought Labour Party, to be undisputed candidate there, is what Atiku has done with ADC. No one can challenge him. |
I disagree with you. Atiku and his fellow Fulanis have bought ADC lock, stock and barrel to the extent the only option is Atiku. Need proof? Look at what played out in PDP that was even more independent than ADC somewhat. Bode George shouted himself hoarse insisting 2023 was the turn of the South and no Northerner must contest the PDP primaries to ensure the 2023 Presidential ticket went to a Southerner. What happened after all that noise from George? |
SaintLucia:There won't even be a need for delegate voting in my opinion. ADC will settle on consensus options and Obi will flee the Party before the formal anointing of Atiku as he fled PDP in 2022 to escape same Atiku. |
Daguccizgreat:There is no chance Obi will be ADC candidate. Non whatsoever . Atiku is only saying this as someone who owns the ADC structure and has such a stranglehold on the party to the extend he is 100% sure the Presidential ticket is his. He is playing politics by trying to sound gracious and conciliatory whereas the ADC flagbearer (Atiku) is known today to all those in the inner caucus of the party which does not include naive Obidients who still believe in miracles and view Obi an 'alagbara'. |
chopnaira:Lol. Laughable TBH. Just like the "One Igbo man equal to 500 Hausa" claim. Obidients and Atikulate are strange bedfellows. One (Obidients) extremely unreasonable and emptily braggart with a sense of entitlement. The other (Atikulate) very calculative, ruthless, ready to do anything for power and treacherous to the extent they will throw any maga or agreement under the bus anytime and anyday. How did such polar opposites come together in a "rescue Nigeria" pretend alliance? Nothing but ethnocentric zeal to lead Nigeria in search of power that will aid the ulterior motives of both that has nothing to do with the progress of Nigeria. |
wwwihy:Which people aside Obidients alone? Even the Southern members of ADC, minus online noisemakers, are all behind Atiku to include Obi's former stalwarts like Kenneth Okonkwo. Obi is a "food is ready" politician never ready to build anything. He simply plans to hijack what others have struggled to create for his own benefit. His Obidients mob are same. This is why they expect ADC to be like Labour that Obi hijacked with ease. Not possible. In ADC Obi is coming up against the might of the Fulani born-to-rule supremacists and hegemonists lot desperate to topple PBAT. They have no time to indulge Obi or his sidekick Kwankwaso and this is why Atiku talks as he does. Man has dropped major money, paid serious bread to US lobby firm (all things the opportunist and "no dey drop shishi" Obi will never do) and folks expect Atiku not to be combative in talk? ADC is Atiku's platform. Period. |
JimD:Yes indeed. |
LegendHero:That is the koko of the matter these emotional guys don't understand. |
IGBOPROMISE1:All the above is shameless storytelling. Did Mahama say what the bloger claim he did or not? Simple yes or no please. |
Dazzle as in how? Abi I have suddenly developed vision issues? I only see an 'agbaya' trying too hard. |
Lol. Obi and Obidients can keep decieving themselves with this one term promise in hope ADC will concede the Party's ticket to coward Obi who has never believed in standing his ground to go toe to toe against others. Won't happen. Atiku is 100% going to be the candidate of the ADC. Fellow forumers, kindly bookmark this thread because I am sure we will need to ressurect it when Obidients will try and blame Yorubas after Obi loses ADC ticket to Atiku. |
Burob:Indeed. One with memory lapses as well since he wants to now rebrand himself a champion of democracy and good governance advocate whereas the reality of his life reveals the total opposite. Elders should try and refrain from telling lies and revising history because those younger will remind them who they were and what they stood for. |
lawani:Your talk of population of Ibadan makes zero intellectual and analytical sense. If Ibadan is more populated that Ekiti how does that affect statistical picture that sampling ratio, mean, mode, median etal present? Sample a random group of 100k folks from Ekiti and Oyo. If Ekiti has 100 PHD holders from that sample group while Oyo has 20, the factual conclusion will be that, by ratio, Ekiti produces far more PHD holders than Oyo using comparative sampling. Meaning Ekiti is the State, of the two, with more brilliant or academically driven people. This is reason why samples are uses, as a critical means of establishing the comparative mean figure rather than overall population. To me, and I am not from the State, I believe the PHD reputation Ekiti had (emphasis on had) is probably evidence based and not anecdotal only. As a layman social scientist, the bigger question remains why the higher education prowess of Ekiti folks has not resulted in the State being one the most developed in Nigeria as would be the case elsewhere worldwide.

@OP. This is disingenuous and subjective use of statistics that does not allow for facts and reality that would make it instantly clear why Nigeria is experiencing high inflation. Our situation is very different to all other nations in West Africa. We have huge endowment (natural and mineral resources plus arable land) and capacity (large population and markets) that should see us far ahead of all else in Africa if successive leaders , since 1999, had cumulatively done the right things. As it is , and as statistical facts confirm, Nigeria was at the point of collapse when the current government came to power in 2023. The only way to save Nigeria, steady the sinking ship and set her on course to reach her destination, was initiation and sustenance of fundamental and critical reforms all Presidents before Tinubu had shunned. Subsidy removal and floating of the Naira, for example, have direct effect as causes of hyperinflation which is always acceptable in national economics if the end will justify the means. While others can parade inflation rate of 3% etal, such is nothing any Nigerian should envy if they are progressive and fully understand why we have comparatively high inflation. If Nigerians understand the results reforms, causing temporary high inflation, will achieve that will hopefully see us develop to be like Singapore in the next 20 years or so then they will know we have have no business looking at the situation or trajectory of other West African nations. The challenges facing us is very different to their challenges. The fact is that PBAT and his team have the reformational vision and will to sacrificially become scapegoats of Nigerians anger so that our nation can unlock huge potentials we have that many West African nations, combined, will never possess. If after all this, we succeed to be like Singapore in 20 years time then our children will be thanking Tinubu immensely even as he is seen as a villain by some currently. Most nations facing ruination, because of failed past leadership, go through exactly what Nigeria is going through once a sincere and resolute reformational leader takes charge. Great leaders do not seek populist appeasement of those they lead like OBJ, Jonathan and Buhari exemplify. They do everything, including what will make them extremely unpopular, that is in the verified best interest of those they lead as the woman below confirms about PBAT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=lvQ9qA6pnX5h6W_P |
adebayo201:Agree with you 💯% because the direct and critical connection between healthy and well trained/developed human resources and national development globally is too fundamentally important to neglect. We are going nowhere if we don't understand this. |
anonimi:Makes sense and I have heard precisely same per the decline of education in Nigeria. Tragic though because the best and most developed human resources create the best and most developed nation.worldwide. How we don't dedicate ourselves to empowering this concept is very troubling |
Gotocourt:Absolutely. There are parts of Lagos you will never find me in because they are dens of criminality and it is only criminal and drug addicts you will see there. Good and upright people know not to mingle with criminals, terrorists, Kidnappers etc. |
Good talk from the Government I personally believe is aimed at desperate opposition and enemies of Nigeria's progress like Atiku, Obi, Gumi, Malami, El Rufai etal. They want to criticise government of inaction yet rush angrily and sanctimoniously, perhaps because they are complicit actors in the proliferation of terrorism, to attack Government over bombing of "innocent trader". Zulum has backed Government insisting Jilli Market has been abandoned for five years because of the awareness it is a terror hub no genuinely innocent person should be buying or selling at. Former COAS Buratai supported the bombing also insisting Jilli Market is an enclave of terrorist and their enablers. Yet Atiku, not governor of Borno nor a security expert, is insisting on pushing the "innocent traders" narrative. Go figure wise Nigerians. |
@OP. Is this what desperation has reduced you to? I.e using blatant fake news from worthless sources to back your jaundiced opinions? Where in the video did the commentator show confirmation of your claim that "Ghana's President Knocks Tinubu Over Nigeria's Terrible Situation"? |
Sccarrr:Indeed. Even AI confirms this as "clickbait" and "YouTube videos with sensational titles" likely cobbled together by desperate bloggers seeking traffic or promoting their mercenary agenda. Shamefully, ChatGPT mentions Nairaland which makes sense given the inability of many to think logically and/or critically.
|
emmaodet:Well-said. Imagine someone defending what has developed into a huge problem for our nation Chinese leaders formally moved against, with the one child per family policy in the past, to prevent China collapsing totally. |
