From the look of things, the list certainly got filled before 7am yesterday. It's a serious shithole..... The drama wasn't any different from what we suffer with Immigration for passport and our universities for transcript.

Morning everyone,
And so it happened that I travelled down with my family to children's practice Lagos yesterday for my medicals. Got in around 8.40am and approached the receptionist on how to go about my medicals. The lady snubbed me for over 30mins. When she finally responded, she said "Oga, am full for the day". I didn't understand her and I asked "Hello ma, please what do you mean u r full for the day? ". She ignored me again. I called out to another staff and explained my plight, she told me "Sir, we only attend to 40 people a day and u need to come in as early 6am to put down ur name, dis list get filled even before 7am. You will need to come back very early tomorrow, please get a hotel close by and lodge. I was dazed. I drew their attention to the fact that I called to make enquiries the day before and nobody told me to come 6am. I was told to be there between 8am and 10am. How come u r now giving me dis 6am story. Most painful was the fact that I came in from outside Lagos and had a 2weeks old baby with me and an aged mother. Some other clients in my shoes who were also forced to pass the night in lagos came to pacify me and advised that I come back tomorrow(wasn't sure if they were sincerely concerned or protecting their selfish interest). I decided to take a chill and went to sit down. I sat till 1pm and it was obvious dey weren't gonna shift grounds. It's time to raise the roof, this is bull crap. I went into the main building screaming and everyone was like "Oga what's the problem". I quietly explained my plight and that was it. I was given a teller to go and make payment and was able to get the medicals done, concluded everything around 4pm. Believe me, they still refused to attend to every other person who didn't make the first 40 man list. I was only fortunate because of my 2weeks old baby. I don't know if this has been the situation all along in children's practice or there is just a sudden surge in Canadian PR medical clients. Whatever the situation is, this is just to give someone an handy info, lest you get disappointed when you get there.

In my opinion, you can state it on your LOE that you were done with coursework and had to pick up a full time job. Also depends on how many years you are claiming

Having dis same ish ooo. Had my Ms.c in 2013/2014. Finished all my course work in 2014 but Cldnt finish my thesis cos I got a job shortly after. Just submitted my thesis in January 2017 and My certificate carries January 2017.
Am worried CIC might want to question how I ran a full time degree program with a full time employment.

A little concern, guys. In stating the period of your study, which is most appropriate? From the year u started to the year u finished or from the year u started to the year the degree was awarded? I had a PGD in 2013 which was expected to be for just a year but submitted my thesis in 2015 and was awarded the degree in 2016. On my transcript, it was stated 2016 as the year the degree was awarded. Please what becomes of the study period? from 2013 to 2015 abiii from 2013 to 2016 and what becomes of the full academic year? cos i know this IRCC guys can be so meticulous. cc: mcstan18, tojued

This grammar wouldn't help you any bit if you are desperately in need of the passport. I saw the official cost well pasted on their notice board and the entrance of their offices last Week Wednesday when I went to apply for my baby in Ibadan. I tried pulling some stunts by drawing their attention to the official cost. I was simply advised to go ahead and do it online if I wanted to pay the official cost. The response was so sarcastic. I was too certain if I went that route, the passport wldnt be out any soon.

I finally had to part with 22k instead of 9k and was assured I wld get it this week.

In summary , no let anybody pour sand sand for ur garri..... Do what you have to do and move on!

. For a passport that ordinary should not cost more than 15k for Adults and around 9k for children. This is a rip off

Anyone reading this that is not in the pool, don't procrastinate, do your ielts and WES and join the pool...who knows? Procrastinating kept me till now, and it seems it takes longer these days

E clear say you dey abroad. The only time FD can give you higher return than TBill in naija is if you fix it in a microfinance bank. A microfinance bank offered around 20% p.a for the same amount that a commercial bank offered 6%.. While on tbills it was about 12%. Money market 13%.

I used a statement of result and was successful with it
