Nigerian relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, has advised married women not to give out money to their husbands as they are only helpers, not providers.

The matchmaker made this known in a new video she posted via her official Instagram over the weekend.Speaking further, Blessing Okoro went on to advise women to desist from dating or getting married to men who are jobless and poor.

In her words, ”Your husband or your man does not have any business with your money or income as a woman. You are a helper not a provider. A lot of men tend to put eyes on their woman’s money.

”They want to know how much their women are earning, they want to know how much is in their wife’s bank accounts, they share bills… that is nonsense.”

The birthday cake of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has triggered reactions across social media networks.

President Buhari celebrated his 78th birthday yesterday, 17th December with a gigantic gold and white customed cake.

This is coming after a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri shared photos of Buhari’s cake on his page.

Nigerians have however taken to social media to mock Buhari’s administration over the exorbitant cost of running the country.




According to some Instagram users, the birthday cake may be announced to have cost millions of naira, just as when a minister announced 81 million naira for clearing grass in the Abuja stadium.

The second wave of End SARS protest has commenced in Lagos and Ibadan. Ibadan is the capital of Oyo State.

Demonstrators have returned to Lekki toll plaza, the scene of the military shooting currently under probe.

Teams of policemen and soldiers are around to forestall a breakdown of law and order.

Security has been heightened at other flash points in Lagos, Nigeria’s biggest city.

On Sunday, the police reiterated its ban on gatherings, warning that such might be hijacked by unscrupulous elements.

The End SARS protest initially commenced on October 8 in Lagos. The youth-led outcry spread to other states.

For nearly two weeks, agitators demanded for an end to police brutality. Their resilience forced the police to scrap the notorious unit, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

But the protest went awry from October 21, one day after the Lekki shooting. Hoodlums, in many states, targeted attack on residences and businesses.

According to the federal government, the civil disorder, which lasted about a week, caused the death of 100 civilians and security operatives.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Tuesday described the End SARS protest in Nigeria as a lesson to the Federal and State governments.

The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced it withheld the results of 215,149 candidates who wrote the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Nigeria.

According to the council, the results are held because of the candidates involvement in examination malpractice.




Patrick Areghan, head of WAEC Nigeria made the announcement during a press briefing in Lagos on Monday November 2nd.

In his words,




“The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate Committee of the Council for determination in due course. The Committee’s decisions will be communicated to the affected candidates through their various schools.




“81,718 candidates, representing 5.31% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors on the part of the candidates. Efforts are, however, being made to speedily complete the processing to enable all the affected candidates get their results fully processed and released, subsequently.”




He further revealed that candidates whose results have been fully processed and released, would have their certificates ready in the next 90 days.

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerian youths participating in the ongoing #EndSARS protests to swap the streets for the negotiation table.




According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari, represented by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Bello, spoke at the maiden National Youth Day programme with the theme “Invest in the youth, secure our future” held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The statement was titled “President Buhari to Nigeria youths: End street protests, dialogue with government on police reforms.”




President Buhari pointed out that it was important for the protesting youths to realise that protests cannot last indefinitely.

An unknown disease has killed at least 15 people in Delta State.




Media reports in Nigeria have reported outbreaks in two parts of the state, Ute-Okpu and Idumesah in the North East Ika Local Government Area.




Delta State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, ​​told reporters on Sunday that he had already led some health experts to the affected areas to find out what was really going on.

A Nigerian youth, said to be the son of the deputy Governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu, has disclosed that he does not care about the ongoing #EndSARS movement in Nigeria.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has given the inmates who escaped from the Benin Medium Security Correctional Centre, Sapele Road and the Oko Medium Security Correctional Centre up till Friday, October 23 to return voluntarily or face the wrath of the law.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the governor gave the three-day ultimatum in Benin on Wednesday, October 21, while on an assessment tour of the facilities in company of the the Controller of Correction, Edo State Command, Babayo Maisanda, who announced that six out of the 1,993 inmates who escaped during the jail breaks had voluntarily returned.

It would be recalled that some hoodlums who highjacked the peaceful #EndSARS protest in the state had on Monday attacked the two Correctional Centres and freed the inmates after unleashing terror on the facilities, its personnel and their properties, mostly, vehicles.

Loatsad Promomedia has issued a statement clearing up rumours that it played a role in the attack on #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate on Tuesday evening.The media company owned by Seyi Tinubu, son of Popular Lagos politician/APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, disclosed that they shut down their billboard at the Lekki Toll gate based on an curfew order put in place by the state governor, Baba-Jide Sanwoolu.

The statement read in full:

“When we started in 2014, we had a plan to change the perception of African start-ups in the global space. We believed as Africans, we could create something great and we set out with a N4m loan from a bank and we started trading, going from door to door begging for work and relentlessly grew the business employing and empowering over 200 Nigerians today directly or indirectlyWe have supported many upcoming businesses, artists, people in need as giving back to our community has always been our passion (all this can be verified).”

“All of our achievements thus far have come the from hard work, sweat and determination of our work force and everything Loatsad has been doing has been open, all taxes are remitted and payments to agencies and regulatory bodies have been timely, so we can be proud to say we are contributing the growth of the industry and Nation.”

“When the “EndSars” and “say no to police brutality” protests started from day one we wholly supported the movement and used all our platforms to promote the messages (I believe the promoters can verify this information) as we believed in the cause.”

“On Tuesday when the curfew was announced we heeded the governors warnings and didn’t want our staff in any danger, hence by 3pm our staff had been ordered to leave the site and the board was switched off based on the governors curfew request.”

“We had no idea what was going to happen and we feel the same anguish, pain and shock at the events that unfolded and our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and families of this ungodly act.We believe in this movement and that it was the start of the change our generation needed to move our country forward and we will continue to support the youths of this great nation.”

A lady who is madly in love with her ex boyfriend’s younger brother has cried out for help on how to handle the situation.

In a WhatsApp chat with her friend, she expressed her intense feelings for her ex-lover’s younger brother and how she finds peace and happiness with him.

She also revealed that the man is also in love with her and even has the intentions to marry her legally

However, she lamented bitterly about being confused on what to do. According to her, she doesn’t know if going ahead with the relationship is morally right, because she has had an affair with his blood brother.

The lady, who had previously consulted someone else revealed that the other lady was strongly against the relationship.

The friend in the chat however advised her to follow her heart and pay no mind to other people’s opinions.
