Indommie generation even created a thread strictly for indommie |
I pity this country, marriage is our number one problem. We really don't care about the economy, about politics about security, about improving our lives. All we care about is marriage and relationships. |
Oh please! Don't be naiive Agboriotejoye: |
They just couldn't bear that he opted to marry a lady that was a quarter black...not even half black o. Yet they make players take the knee before every football game in England to denounce racism, whereas the racism is so deep-rooted from the top all the way down. |
If the president of China speaks Mandarin and he makes an error, another Mandarin speaker will correct it. If you had made your comment in Ibo and made errors, another Ibo speaker would correct it. Any language you have decided to use in communication, use it well. This lame excuse of "its not my language" is now stale. Lastmankc: |

Recall Shaggy's song "it wasn't me"? Even if you're caught red handed, say it wasn't you. Nowadays, it even gets easier, just say it's fake news. If it is a picture or video evidence, say it's a Photoshop. |
Looks more like LT3 in Faculty of Engineering Sixsigmahub: |
This line is now stale, has been over used. Think of something new when2: |
Very shameless and scandalous set of women in this generation. Frankly, I don't know why men are still bothering marrying them. They are not worth it. African men still holding on to a clearly unworkable arrangement called marriage. The reality is that the present day female has had so much sex with too much different males that it just isn't possible to faithfully commit to having sex with just one man for the rest of their lives. The earlier we realise that, the better. Uniquekriss: |
There are also Southerners with better CVs and of same youthful age. Say something else. Sagtop: |
The natural response from regime apologists will be "16years bla bla bla".. |
I have said this many times, this shortcut path to change won't work. And the longer we postpone the inevitable long trip to real change, the longer the journey will be for us. We can't be deliberately illogical and impractical. Let's be realistic here, we have a huge population of hoodlums living side by side with normal individuals, these hoodlums are always looking for the slightest opportunity to unleash mayhem on the hapless people like you and I. Protests provide a fertile ground for them and the casualties are innocent people. For real change to occur, one, the youths have to realize they need to stop joking about especially on cyberspace. They need to utilise that avenue to galvanise politically. They need to read and know what's going on in the world around them, it's not all about marriage, mother-in-law, sex, and other shallow stuff that currently occupy their fancy. They need to have a crop of genuine leaders, not just empty headed clout chasing celebrities. If these are done, the youths can then emerge into reckoning. The reorientation has to start with the youths. |
You nailed it spot on! blamingthedevil: |
Bandwagon.. humility, humility..what exactly makes him him humble? Is it just merely his demeanour and someone says he "looks humble", since then, it has stuck that he is humble. The question is what exactly makes him humble Same way, the narrative of Buhari being "honest" stuck. We are such a bandwagon prone population, just out something out there, everyone latches on it. Nobody really questions jesusjnr2020: |
Look, if you're in a place and can't breathe, why not simply leave? How can you remain there till you eventually faint/die? I mean, your body will have been giving you signs in stages. This is the paradox of a Nigerian, he will be saying " let me just manage". |
famine not feminine Dabronze: |
In today's cashless economy, you're still accepting such large volumes of cash for a transaction? Get a POS! |

Is this the total reopening or the partial reopening following the 3day total shutdown? |
Hahahahahahahahaha so apt! Karlovic: |
You shouldn't have replied this comment. You only ended up showing you're even more obtuse than the writer. Now go back and read, this time, slowly...you will see where I wrote "for example" ...Now if you've finally seen that, give yourself three knocks on the head for being a dumbhead OsunOriginal: |
Let me address this separately, so you don't talk anyhow in public next time: the implication of this is: if my net worth is for example, 1million Naira, you are bragging you have 1000000 x 10000 which is equal to 10000000000 Now, if I put actual figures and my assets including landed properties and vehicles, can you now understand the folly of your speech and how vapid you are ![]() magicminister: |
@bolded, you just have yourself away as a typical Nigerian child, shielded from the reality by his parents and still eating from their table. Terms like "cash out", " change your generation" bla bla bla are the common phrases on you people's lips, .. The dream of fast money, without commensurate work. After slamming you for bringing your endsars rubbish to an economic discourse, you scurried like a puppy and hurriedly start typing about "taxes". Well I'm glad I got you to do some reading. Now let me educate you for free: monetary, fiscal and macroeconomic policies go way beyond taxes. You have to look at the effect of a practice on the real economy. If it was just taxes, the big corporations responsible for the global economic melt down of 2008 were diligent on their taxes, but their business practices hurt the world badly. Back to Nigeria and crypto: as a mono economy, Nigeria is tethering precariously on the brink of an FX liquidity crisis, the effect isn't what you would want to imagine. Other countries utilise crypto as a medium of transaction vis a viz the fiat currency, but over here, we simply store and wait for it to appreciate, then we magically "cash out". Everyone is storing, nobody is spending, everyone is waiting to cash out. The effect? A pyramid collapse of our internal economy. magicminister: |
Crypto is not bad. However, every country has its own peculiar economic challenges and takes measures to protect the larger economy to prevent a crash especially when it is a fragile economy like most developing nations. The developed nations can afford to go full scale with any new economic trend cos their economies are multi tirerd and can withstand any shocks, but even at that the regulators still step in from time to time to apply the breaks on some seemingly lucrative trends to prevent examples like the global economic melt down of 2008. For developing nations like Nigeria, it is even more dicey, any little thing, we are done for. Foreign exchange is at the heart of this crypto issue. The moment a developing nation experiences foreign exchange liquidity problems, it is done for. In our case, our major forex earner is oil, now with that sector not doing great in recent times, we have to be careful how we manage the little forex we have. If it is roundtripped and merely stored as crypto, it can only hurt the economy in the long run, and that is exactly what Nigerians do with crypto: buy and store and wait for it to magically appreciate in value, then become rich! But in other countries, crypto is being used for active transactions, meaning, the money still circulates within the economy, thereby creating wealth and boosting the economy. So, the way we go about our crypto dealings here is what needs to change. Microwhy: |
Its not by 'smart sounding clapbacks'. You are empty, just like the vast majority, that is why you need influencers to think for you while you simply jump on any bandwagon and trend. Again, I ask: what do you know about the topic at hand? Dissect the topic on the basis of macroeconomics and show a correlation between foreign exchange reserves and domestic currency stability and national income. Then we can have a discussion. Don't come here with your typical Nigerian youth shallow social media intellect. Coming here yakking about end sars and thinking you're making sense. My friend go and sit the fvk down. magicminister: |
Vacuous youth: shove your end sars farce down your anus. The only people that died where the ones hoodlums killed after you provided the enabling environment for them by your thoughtless blockade of roads and breakdown of law and order. Bunch of bandwagon goats. Endsars bend your mouth there. Read? No! All they do is press phone and seek thrills. What do you know about economics, monetary and fiscal policies? Coming here to say "endsars". Wasted generation magicminister: |
There is no light to shed here. This married woman was caught on camera being fvked by another man. The husband made sure he got it on tape to quash exactly the lies you're trying to skewer like your grills. I listened to her so-called side of the story: all she had to say was that she and the husband had a quarrel etc. She never denied the adultery part. As is common with this generation of "woke" people, adultery is not such a big deal. So stop coming here to issue lame legal threats
OP, can you remove that picture from your thread before it puts you and whoever brought it here into trouble. The woman came out to say her side of the story from the lies her ex-hubby and her in law put her through with this video. Better don't put yourself in trouble, cos at the end, the owner of this forum and his moderators will only refer the authorities that will come for you to the last words you see at the bottom of every page on Nairaland, na den u go know say na OYO u dey. That is a very learned woman you brought her almost naked picture out there on social media, na sorry go be ya case. We Rise! Since it is just an attempt to tarnish her image, we don't think it is wise to start shedding more light on the story anymore dearie. We rather help her quench the light, don't you think so? U too like gist sha babes, ![]() No worries we will soon start a series on NL titled ' Crime O'Clock ', (Compilations of Very interesting and kinda 'WOW' crime stories all from around the world.) It's gonna be interesting. But on this particular case, IT IS CLOSED dearie. ![]() Kaju 'n' bar!
|
