What subject does she want to study? What school grades has she got? Is your 1mil just to pay tuition? What about paying housing, food and all the other things? Is there extra money for that? Dubai is not a cheap place either to study or live. |

deniike: Pls guys I got my visa lastweek but I just noticed that the bank statement I printed out when applying is missing.. Would I need to show the immigration officers at the airport? Or is this normal? It is best to print an up to date statement just before you travel and carry that with you. Try not to show it to Nigerian officials who will try to take something! |

Dyke004: Thanks vallyofpeace for remaining peaceful in all these conversations. I notice in all your replies to the BOLDED and the likes, that you responded like a gentleman and kept your cool. I really admire you on this. Like you said, when the time comes, you will enter there. Pls people, lets keep it cool with him, he is not like others in this threat that dont take advise and correction. Thanks He and you think everything is fine but as LadyGuinivere: points out What he has done COULD be a reason for a ban, it is that serious. Yet he still thinks a visa will be handed to him on a plate. This poster is not worth spending time on, he will never learn. I will not comment on him any more. |

LadyGuinivere: @Valley Hmm. 1. U really have no idea what they filled 2. There's a column to indicate if a person other than u filled the form. Most prolly they did not indicate. Any omission or failure to answer correctly to a question is considered misrepresentation. 3. You sef no kuku prepare for the interview. U de depend on fine boy no pimple plenty perfume for armpit

vallyofpeace: Note: a reputable coy filled my Ds 160 form and i was carried along all through. But i guess there was so many typographical error. And the Coy said no specific tavel plan, but i responded to the vo yes i had specific travel plans. Sorry but to be very honest you REALLY messed this up.You used THIEF agent to prepare your documents but you clearly did not read them to learn what had been written. You told the V.O. that you were using papers written by someone else. You said Orlando Florida as a destination which has enough attractions to keep you busy for months but then state two destinations near New York Over a thousand miles away! All this rubbish now forms part of your record if you try again with a totally different story they may even suspect fraud. You need to spend some time and straighten out your life and story. Any application again now will be wasting money. |

Fola10: Hello everyone,
Please I want to find out if a letter from from my bank stating that the funds has been in my account for 28 days is required.
My appointment is tomorrow and I just printed my account statement. I didn't do any transaction on the account for the 28 day period. So the statement is just about one-eighth of a page. I hope this won't be a problem? Thanks As long as it shows the dates then it should be no problem. |

nunaija: Yes I can. I explained in the application I guess the ECO didn't read it. I will try and be more explicit this time Advice!Being explicit should not mean being long winded! If you want your explanation read and understood keep it to a MAXIMUM of one A4 page of double spaced typing. If you send pages of long rambling script then it will not be read in detail. |

Kayraph: @LadyG, can you imagine, the man even said that he works in a University. These are the kind of people who are doing fake admissions and fraudulent results all over the place. I always ask myself, does it mean that some people have lost hope in themselves whereby they have the mindset that they can never make it in this country? Traveling abroad by all means possible has become the other of the day... Anyway, the VO has told him the implication of his 'illegal' intents. I'm sure that the guy will still go ahead sha. To post illegal actions on a public forum is silly. To do it in front of a visa officer can not be believed! Another red flag on the system for Nigerian visa applicants! |

So you sent your passport (even a scan) to a "friend" to give it to a THIEF agent in another country! You must be a very trusting person! What if your passport has been used for fraud or crime or terrorism? You may soon be in some big trouble! Please people be more careful! Do not fall into this trap. |

So called THIEF travel agent in Nigeria is a different animal to those from the rest of the world. Many Nigerian so called agents just charge fees to do something that can be done yourself for free. The add lies and fake documents to peoples applications supposedly to boost their chances, but the lies bounce back and people end up being banned. Many also take fees and deliver nothing. We saw one evil THIEF agent recently that wanted to get someones visa cancelled because of a falling out.
Think very hard before placing your future and funds in the hands of any THIEF agent. Especially those stealing free advertising here with only yahoo address and mobile phone numbers. |

Petitediva14: University of Nottingham and Master of Public health. I believe it was a mistake because someone from my school was given 20hrs. I would contact them and let everyone know whatever they say. Yes, all I can do is publish the regulations. It does look like someone has got it wrong. We recently saw someone who was expecting 10hrs who got 20! so people do make mistakes. |

Petitediva14: Hey guys, I am very happy to tell you all that I have received my visa. Thanks be to God and all of you here. You have all been a great help.
However I have a question o. I checked the visa and saw that I was given only 10hrs to work during term time and I am a postgraduate student. I was planning to work for only 10-12 hours then volunteer for about 4 hours now I can't. Pls does anyone know why I was granted only 10hours? This suggests that your school is not a University, but a lower college. 10 hours a week if you are studying a course that is below degree level at a "higher education institution" 10 hours a week if you have immigration permission as a Tier 4 (Child) Student.http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/International-Students/Study-work--more/Working-during-your-studies/How-many-hours-a-week-can-I-work/#3-August-2015-onwards |

pet01: Pls house has there been any successful applicant here who withdrew money from his account below the minimum required amount but after submitting his visa application? I want to know because I need to make a withdrawal from my account while I keep waiting for visa approval. If you do that and they check, they will think it is deception. Could lead to a long ban. That money is intended to pay for your living expenses. |

Tnks brothers Most of the countries that are visa free to Nigerians are very poor or war torn. Their own citizens can barely exist. No one from advanced countries want to go there. chinelo5: Good day Justwise. You're doing a great job here. I asked this question on the USA visa thread but no response. I live in port Harcourt and will soon have to renew my US visa. I know about the dropbox option and I qualify. My question is, do I have to fill the DS160 form online before this OR do I go straight to the DHL Dropbox location with my passport and supporting documents? Awaiting your response. N.B. I already checked the website and it only shows the Dropbox addresses, it doesn't explain sufficiently how to go about it. Thanks. Here are the instructions from the website which seem quite clear. You need to apply on line. follow the visa application instructions on the U.S. Embassy Nigeria website at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/niv_appointmnent_instructions.html. The CGI visa appointment website will ask applicants a series of questions reflecting the criteria for the DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Program. Qualifying applicants will be prompted to print a letter confirming their eligibility for the program and instructing them to drop off the letter with their passport, application confirmation sheet, passport photos, visa fee receipt, and appropriate forms to one of the DHL facilities in Abuja or Lagos. |
