jauntty: I was informed now that he has gotten a lawyer and are negotiating his bail terms. Something else came up. The lawyer was suggesting that they settle Out-of-court. (Compensation) but the family is saying that "they cannot sell their son for money. "That just means that he has not offered enough money yet! |
akmoses: So if one is asked to show proof of funds, do you show them the statement of account or what?If it's a real statement of the money in your account on that day the yes that is what you do. If the statement is out of date or you have taken all the money out to pay back a loan than you are in trouble. They are likely to check your bank and they will fid out the truth! If you are honest and are following the rules then you have nothing to worry about. |
bidibudi: pls throw more light on this ooooThis is a very silly situation to be in. As a Student in the UK your school is required to check on your financial ability to support yourself! Even if you are not questioned at immigration, your school will find out and report you to UKBA. Then deportation with all your money lost and the shame of telling your friends and family! It has been stated hundreds of times that you need that money to survive! There are no magic sources of funds so how will you live and eat? Do you expect to fall into a well paying job instantly? |
Oliversamuel: pls cn any one help me with travelling details to Haiti since it requires no visa,I want to leave Africa before this ebola breaks out in Nigeria... hlp plsYou can already hear the noise of doors being slammed to Africans at many entry points! Also airlines stopping flights from African countries. Africa is being quarantined! |
If he get's bail he had better be carefull that he does not end up in the hands of the very angry family! He is reasonably safe in jail. He could be the victim of "Street /Jungle Justice" if the family get hold of him! "An eye for an eye" A life for a life"! |
agates: @ justwise is it true one's statement of account would be checked at the point of entryIf somone gives the security people a cause to look closely at them. Then it is possible that they would check on finances. But not everyone on every flight. |
justwise: That is like admission summer sales!!They can offer admision for free! If they know that they can't take any international students! |
BA stops flying to parts of Africa worst hit by ebola amid fears a Welsh person may have come into contact with the virus. The World Health Organisation said on Monday the number of deaths from the disease in West African countries including Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria had increased from 729 to 887. |
No visa here! Home Office probes University of Bedfordshire as part of student visa abuse investigation The University of Bedfordshire has been prevented from sponsoring new foreign students as investigations into the abuse of visas deepens. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, Immigration Minister James Brokenshire confirmed that the Home Office has investigated the European subsidiary of Educational Testing Services– a firm which holds language tests for student visas. Earlier this year BBC’s Panorama revealed systematic cheating at ETS’ UK test centres– with invigilators seen to be supplying, even reading out, answers to whole exam rooms and gangs of impostors being allowed to step into the exam candidates places to sit the test. http://www.lutontoday.co.uk/news/politics/home-office-probes-university-of-bedfordshire-as-part-of-student-visa-abuse-investigation-1-6141715 |
So from now on when Nigerian students apply for Exchange the answer is NO! Another door shut to Nigerians by corrupt people! |
abbie359: can you explain to me what kpaly is please?Very sorry but it is obvious that you are probably young and very naieve! If you are thinking of going to another country to "wash cars" You are a female and there is only one kind of work where you will be forced to end up in places like eastern Europe. |
Inemobot: No England? Does it mean that you can not enter England too? @worry359.You must read what has been written and try to understand. England Wales Scotland and northen Ireland are one country with combined access & visa. |
Inemobot: Does it mean that when you get UK Visa, you are free to enter both England, Scotland and Wales? You are welcome in Wales or Scotland. Most English people don't want to go there! |
TIDTID: Hi to you all, can someone help on how to get a visa to Dubai or Qatar, I am a registered Nurse with BNSC.No simple thing. It would be good for you to read back the early posts in this section to learn more. They are changing the visa system at the moment so it's difficult to give firm advice. |
3sha4lyf: Lol...what does it matter, really? sponsors can't guarantee that the traveller will return to his/her country after the end of the trip so they are really not a bonafide tie to home country. You are replying to something that you don't understand and have made yourself look ignorant! You have opened your mouth before thinking and understanding my question! It the sponsor was in the country that the poster wants to visit that is a big red flag. It may look like the poster has no reason to return home. As the sponsor is in the home country of the poster they may be able to show this as links to home. It will not be easy and it will need a good explanation of why someone would sponsor the person. |
raphrinco: Thanks a lot, so how do I get the the multiple entry work visa to UAE?Whatever new rules are being put into place for UAE. I bet that there will still be SEVERE RESTRICTIONS on visa for Nigerians. They have too bad reputation for overstaying in those countries. I do not believe that Nigerians will get multiple entry work visa for non skilled jobs. |
Husband should quit work. Wife should pay for one or two house girls to do chores and look after the man while the wife is at work. |

peaky: sir, my inquiry goes to Professor justwise. My younger (Biodun) who is 24 years of age working with a a reputable company seeking for travel advice from you. he earns 125,000 per month and has about 700,000 as balance. He is interested in spending his next vacation in the UK. He knows nobody in the UK. What are the chances of obtaining the visa. We need your wealth of advice because he is a first timer and has no tie in Nigeria except his job. It's not good news i'm afraid. As a person with No ties to home AND First time. He would also be spending most of his savings on the trip which is another red flag. To be very honest he would be wasting money trying for a U.K. visitors visa. |
naijaspeak: Qatar Visa is based on the sponsorship system. A travel agency or agent in Nigeria or Qatar can sponsor your visa. 5 star hotel in Qatar can arrange your visa if you book a room in their hotel for some days although very expensive .Qatar embassies outside qatar do not handle visa processing as a matter of policy.Unfortunatly the words "Reliable" and "Travel Agent" do not go together when people are looking for a way to get into UAE -Qatar! We hear hundreds of tales from people being robbed by |
Chatters: @ lassky, it doesn't matter the number of pages you use in your SOP. Explain yourself explicitly. Don't bother writing just one page if it doesn't explain your situation. Write as many pages as possible then start editing and only keep relevant information. It's important to remember that busy people will only scan what you write! If you send ten pages they will not absorb much information, it will all be wasted. If you send half a page of clear concise information it will be better received than 10 pages of rambling story. |
charzyh2 You have posted the same thing on many places. You will not get any more answers. |
thisismystique: Hello guys,Sorry This is the UK way of saying "no appeal" You should go through the reason for rejection, address and correct those problems and re-apply. Give the wording of the refusal and someone will clarify. |
aekmanweb: Is it true someone with U.S green card can migrate to Canada without having any issues there in Canada. Please house, i need your insight about this and the procedures. THANKS ALL!You can VISIT Canada with just your green card and passport. To move & live in Canada requires much more paperwork. MOST IMPORTENT you will loose your US permanent residency (green card) So think very hard "Is the grass really greener over there?) |
codebreaker: Nice one.. Whats your take on University of Alberta. I thought it was No 3 in CanadaRather than take the opinion of people on here. You could contact the University and department that you are interested in, or their Student Union. Then you can ask for details of recent past students and the success rate of job placement. If they have a good success rate they will be proud to give you information. If they will not then ask yourself why! |
