sonofGod11: . I just feel so sad and wish I knew I was making a mistake during my first application.
I want a second chance to clear my records. I feel so bad
When you were rejected you should have been given a piece of paper with the reason. This should have a code like 214b.
Tell us what is written there and someone can answer you.
TravelRe: UK Visa Inquiry by worry359(m): 3:31pm On Sep 10, 2014
AS said above
You will get to visa office with your documents from agent.
They will say "we have seen these same fake papers a hundred times"
"Here is a ten year ban!"

cute2014: Unfortunately,I can't answer the prescription part as its not ethical.Ideally one shd know what u are treating before u take the medicines. But buying broad spectrum antibiotics like Amoxycillin/Clavulanic and Cefuroxime in a reputable p'cy should not be a problem.Antimalarials are like pure water here,so treat urself b4 u travel o.
If you have a "reasonable" quantity of medicine in your hand luggage and can explain what it is for you should be ok.
Problems start with people having very large quantities of unknown medicine.
If you know the name of the medicine look up on Google for information on taking it into USA.

LazzyH: I would like to visit my brother and my cousin @ southampton & cambridge and i am not working at the moment but have a small company(Business) that I manage. Please educate me on how to go about getting a visitors visa or the best way to go about applying. I intend visiting for a week or 2 and how much do I need to have on my account + I just registered my company August. Do I use my company accnt or my personal account. I do not want to be addressed as a business owner. What doc would I ask for from any of my brothers can both of them invite me? And my staying der for 2weeks will give me enough time to do a crash course on drilling as that use to be my old profession.
Thank you... There are some other info I can not expose here... Thanks once more...
There is lots of information here if you read back.
But to summarise for you.
The most important thing is ties to ensure that you will return home after your visit.
Family, children or property can help here.
To use a buisness as a tie it must be established for over a year and have tax and bank accounts as proof.
Using a buisness bank account is bad, you should use a personal account showing a favorable balance and transactions.
A visiting visa is just that, do not mention any training.
In truth if you are un-employed with a new buisness and limited funds I would not waste money applying yet. Wait a year or two to get yourself established.

esosa4real: Hey guys, am a freshly grad doctor visiting uk on wedsday for a medical conference (not a student). I would be staying for 2weeks, however have some questions that I know only Ona, the Omo naija uk based students fit answer.
1. The conference is n Norwich but I would be arriving Manchester first to drop my luggage at cousins house. How do I get to norwich from manchester? Train or bus and which is cheap? Can I book online?
2. For my two weeks stay, which mobile network should I use with internet available too
3. Apart from old trafford theatre of dreams which I am planning, any other worthy tourist sites in manchester that I MUST visit?
4. I am a first timer uk and I hear things are expensive. Biko putting that into consideration, where can I buy cheap stuffs (clothes, accessories, gadgets).
5. I am planning buying controllers for my ps3 via ebay, but wondering if I can get used n cheap ones to buy physically in manchester.
6. For the conference in Norwich, abeg any Nigerians on this thread living in norwich?? Let's hookup o cos my conference go jux dry.
7. I ve booked hotel for my stay in norwich, it's N23k for two nights! Is it okay? Or there could be cheaper?
Thanks yall while I await your help n replies, God bless
From Manchester you can either get a train or bus without problems. Bus will be cheaper but take longer Look for "National Express"busses
Train can be quite expensive but you can check on line, Google "booking train tickets" You might need to get Taxi to your final destination.
Don't know about mobiles.
Just looking around Manchester will fill your hours.
There will be plenty of shops and markets in Manchester selling goods.

Dijanbala: . My cousin has applied for uk visa 4 times and had been refused visa. We applied for the fifth time with me as her sponsor sending all the documents listed on the ukba supporting documents page but was still refused on the grounds that; they noticed she had been refused 4 times in her previous apps,
This is the big problem that you face now.
After 5 refusals there she looks as if she is desparate to get into UK.
Also no job or family means that she has no strong ties to return home.
Think about how much money has been spent on applications so far and the stress she has gone through.
Is that all worth it just for a visit?
This is how the visa officer will look at things.

May be time to have a rest and build up funds and ties to home.

heemran: @worry353 The documents weren't fake are you suggesting my certs are gone ?
You say that the certificates are genuine, but the UK have confiscated them claiming that they are fake.
In those circumstances it would be VERY unusual for the documents to be returned to you.

You can try writing a letter to the embassy asking for the return of the documents.
Or you can start work to get new (Genuine!) documents.

heemran: Hi house,
I have my may/june &nov/dec original waec certificates seized by uk embassy in Lagos since 2009. I changed my surname after i concluded my secondary school in 2002 and also there is a typographical error on date of birth stated on the said certificate as well, 22-aug-1983 instead of 22-aug-1982. House please note that I was denied visa twice and appealed but the appeal was later dismissed.
Now I need your advice on how i can get my certificates back.
Thanks in anticipation of your advice.
It looks like your documents were deemed to be fake. As the appeal was not allowed this looks like it was proved.
I do not think that they will return documents that they have stated are fake.

An embassy staff, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told NAN that 27 people were arrested by policemen attached to the Bar Beach Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr Fayoade Adegoke.

Are you serious?
Everything is wrong with your application and the circumstances surrounding it: observe the highlights, they are awful blunders.
Please, there is no need to ask how to correct them because, i can't see that possible at the moment as you don't seem to have any serious reason to want to travel to the UK except that you want to "jand" that's to "check-out from Naija" Vicjustice:

honourableseyi: No place in the world where you will be denied opportunity to educate yourself because of age barrier
Sorry you are wrong
There are many places that are suspicious of taking older Nigerian students.
The older people have a poor reputation for getting school visa and then dissapearing to work.

Also AS I SAID with such a long gap in education there will probably be extra courses to take and pay for.

A TRUE story

Black African goes to Iraq.
Everywhere are armed men.
Government soldiers.
Armed militia.
Revolutionary fighters.
All look and say " Black man is paid fighter for the other side"
All start sharpening knives and swords.

Black man is found by roadside with head cut off being eaten by wild dogs.
Happens all the time.

abivic: I have a mature friend of 30+ years of age who has never been to university before but has been searching for an affordable oversea admission for quite sometimes now. He has only his WAEC result. What is the possibility of him getting admission abroad without his age being a barrier? If possible, what are the requirements? Anyone with similar experience? No abusive or provocative post please. Thanks.
Sorry
But as 30 yr old with only WAEC you face an up hill struggle to gain admission.
Even if admission is given there is likely to be extra tuition to be done and paid for, incresing costs and time.

At 30 yrs do you not think it would be better to invest in buisness rather than going back into education?
Even if you get degree it does not automaticaly lead to better job!

pareeHot: Hello wise men in the house Pls help me answer,
I applied to Oxford brookes uni thru UKPASS on Friday last week but I got a mail from the school 2day 2/9/2014 that dey are offering me a conditional offer until I pay the sum of £1000 as deposit. And the course start in january. Pls is dis d usual process or its a scam?
This is quite normal.
Untill you pay they will not issue the document (CAS) that you need to get visa.
In the past too many sighned up for schools, got their visa and went to work.
Now they have tightened up the system.

What do you mean by "visa has not been approved"?

Does he have the required £200,000-00 for this visa?

Bambamzzzz: WOW.because i wanted to get a studio apartment before when i get to Birmingham because my wife will be coming next month to join me and after checking online then i get to know that one bedroom flat price mostly are the same price with studio.
I just need good advice about all these things because i dont wanna do something that will regret at the end
We have told you but to repeat!
Get hotel room for 1 or 2 weeks when you arrive.
Talk to people at university, talk to students union, look around local shops.
Then you will find suitable accomodation.
There is plenty there but if you rush to book something from Nigeria you can burn your fingers.
(Also I think that 45 min is too far, you can do better than that!)
