lovelydamsel: Oga let me explain to you in pigdin english lol.when I say certificates don't mean anything.I meant if you have all your bsc,pgd,diploma or masters or phd etc it won't give you the right job its all paper.its what you can deliver.some people just have diplioma/bsc and they are doing better than those who have phd.
Nigerians we believe that when you have masters you more chances of getting higher.which is not the case in foreign countries,most of them just get a diploma and they are satisfied.
'M not good with long explaination.I don't like to repeat what others have contributed.

My parents are considering she goes to d UK on a visit this summer holiday but remains there with a relative to further her education(she has a valid visitors visa), my fear is what are her chances of getting into the system, hope she won't have issues being admitted into college/uni and will she be liable to get an Indefinite stay visa/Red passport

My wife base in nigeria managing and working in the family company and is currently on a salary of N156,000 every months which is paid directly from the company into her account. My question is does she need to submit her bank statement and payslip only? Or she also need to submit the company bank statement and the company registrstion frim CAC. Or just her bank statment and payslip? Without company docunents. Thank you

Yes, I have considered carefully what I would do for a living carefully when I get over there. I know that life in the UK is no bed of roses so I would be sure to have several contingency plans before I commit my lot to living in the uk.

But I have one immediate concern, my folks told me the year I was born 1983 that the UK stopped issuing citizenship to those born in the uk. So thats why I never had a british passport. Before I commit resources to applying for a passport I would like to know from you and Mr Vicjustice if this is still in effect? Or if this only happened for those born in the year 83? And am I eligible to have a british passport?

I need your well informed advice pls. I was born in Lancaster England in the year 1983 and returned with my parents back to nigeria the following year where I have been ever since.
Recently though I have been thinking about resigning from my job and emigrating back to the uk. So, I would love to know what kind of visa I can apply for?
OR
If I may have to give up my nigerian citizenship/passport inorder to pick up a british citizenship?

Using myself as a case study, I studied architecture and graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University and I have some designs I av worked on and handling at the moment, I can use AutoCAD nd some other softwares too, I can work on sites and supervise construction jobs, I speak and write good English..lol

I also overstayed my student visa after they refused to renew it 2009, I eventually found myself in Nigeria by 2012 which is why they have made life so hard for me. I hope they realise that I have been punished enough for that and they free me. Be positive and it is well with you, @ Girlfio has given you the best clue on here, get those things ready and you will be favoured in court.

What about all the people working on construction jobs! No air con there!
Then go home to sleeping with ten men in a room, how hot is that going to be?
