lovelydamsel: Oga let me explain to you in pigdin english lol.when I say certificates don't mean anything.I meant if you have all your bsc, pgd, diploma or masters or phd etc it won't give you the right job its all paper.its what you can deliver.some people just have diplioma/bsc and they are doing better than those who have phd. This is rubbish! In western countries education results (certificates) are vital. If you do not have the right qualifications then your job application will go straight in the bin. Good qualifications from a good school will always get first choice in jobs. Unless you are looking for meanial jobs like car washing . There are no skilled jobs without qualifications! Do not listen to what lady says!! |
Nigeria says it has put all entries into the country on red alert after confirming the death of a Liberian man who was carrying the Ebola virus. The man died after arriving at Lagos airport on Tuesday, in the first Ebola case in Africa's most populous country. Health specialists have been deployed at all entry points into the country, he added. The virus, which kills up to 90% of those infected, spreads through contact with an infected person's bodily fluids. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-28498665 |

My parents are considering she goes to d UK on a visit this summer holiday but remains there with a relative to further her education(she has a valid visitors visa), my fear is what are her chances of getting into the system, hope she won't have issues being admitted into college/uni and will she be liable to get an Indefinite stay visa/Red passportDetails of what you can and cannot do here. https://www.gov.uk/child-study-visa |
samsnize: what about italy do they give visas, easilyNot to Nigerians, no! |
bayusman: Nawa o... How on earth is this thread so dry? Are there no Nigerian studying in Lithuania, Please help bring this thread to life. I want to take an English language course at MRU and I will be moving in soon. Please kindly share how easy it is to survive out there as a student are their job for student, also how is social life there compare to other western europe countries? Not many students have money to WASTE studying English in a NON English speaking country! ![]() |
nickson03: Helo every thank you for your help. I base in uk and we own family company in nigeria me and my wife are the director of the company. My wife base in nigeria managing and working in the family company and is currently on a salary of N156,000 every months which is paid directly from the company into her account. My question is does she need to submit her bank statement and payslip only? Or she also need to submit the company bank statement and the company registrstion frim CAC. Or just her bank statment and payslip? Without company docunents. Thank youMany countries like Uk & USA do not like company accounts as the belief is that the account is for the buisness NOT personal use. It is very good that you have your own acc with wages going in, that is what to use. It would be even better to back this up with tax documents, but a print ount of your six month statement will be good. |
calabaman: Thanks for your response. I have a british birth certificate dated August 1st 1983This is what one reference says. British citizenship - born on or after 1 January 1983 Being born in the UK doesn’t automatically give you British citizenship. If you were born on or after 1 January 1983, you will be a British citizen if your mother or father was either: a British citizen when you were born ‘settled’ in the UK when you were born In most cases you will be a British citizen if your mother or father was born or naturalised in the UK. Does this fit you and your family? Go to Google and search for british citizenship by birth after 1983 Then read those. |
monchouchou: Lol, you harsh ohYes But also very true! ![]() It is sad but some people need telling in very simple (sometimes hard) words. How many have you seen that would rather believe a "friend" or "agent" than all the facts on here? |
Beejaylag: Please house am jobless and thinking of traveling else especially Dubai or Kuwait but was told by an agent to pay for some token after which every deal is done. I dont wanna fall victim cause will be struggling to get the money paid. i need your advice on the procedure to be taken in traveling through a Nigerian Agent and also your past experience on this if any?Advice for using Nigerian Go to shop & buy a box of matches. Go out into street, make a pile of your money. Set fire to your money and watch it burn. This will be the same as using agent to get visa to Arab countries. You will loose your money and end up in slave job not earning enough to live or eat. Not to talk about savings. |
peren: Now am confused. heard it was visa on arrival now this?A simple check on Google would have answered this Home / VISA / Tanzania Visa Requirements For Nigerian Travelers Tanzania Visa Requirements For Nigerian Travelers Posted by: flynaija in VISA 29/01/2014 Contrary to what most people think, a visa is required by Nigerians as well as many other countries including the United States for entry into Tanzania. Visa is issued at the Tanzania High Commission in Abuja ONLY. http://flynaija.org/tanzania-visa-requirements-for-nigerians/ |
mamaxxx: Quick question; My visa was canceled at the POE in the united states. i intend on applying for another visa immediately as i am going for the purpose of childbirth and time is not on my side. Anyadvice? So do you have sufficient funds avaliable now? Have you made plans and paid at a hospital for childbirth? If NOT then you are wasting your time & money by re-applying. |
BluePearls: Haven't seen a thread on Japan here. I plan visiting there soon. Please I need advice and info. ThanksPlenty of Nigerians in Japan See how they behave https://www.nairaland.com/1817241/nigerian-acting-tough-japanese-police |
calabaman: Hello Mr Vicjustice and allWas your birth registered in the UK and do you have a british birth certificate or any other papers? These would make things simpler. Do please remember that UK. is no paradise! You should have a good plan before you go to the UK. How will you make your living? Do you have any skills to get a job. It would be better to come on a holiday to see how things are before commiting everything. |
Liamm: Please help a nairalander.Sorry but can't be done! You do not qualify for a working visa (You need to have a job offer first and be sponsored) You can not work as a visitor (holiday) and without money and ties to home you will not get a visa. To study you need funds to pay tuition AND living expences first. |
Jibwillz: thnx 4ur response... Buh d thnq is,, I jes qot an admission into 1 of em federal skul buh I'm thinkin of boycotting d admission 2 hussle in uae.. Plz Is it a qud move? Or I'm takin a wrnq Step!!!You should first go back to school and learn to type correctly in English. NOT text speak! |
lymelyte: please can any guru tell me how i can verify a georgian cable visa? A friend ask me to help him verify if it is real since it is an electronic visa. I dont know how. Please help.Did you (or friend) buy it from a reliable supplier? Or is it a "back street visa?" You must suspect it is fake to ask the question. |
jimmy4x: lol...You are a darling, only God will repay you handsomely for this wealth of info u dished out...As we say very many times. You have qualifications from Nigeria and are educated. In U.A.E. and similar arab countries you will still be at the bottom of the list for good jobs! First white British, Americans & Europeans. Then Chinese, Indians & Arabs. Finally black Africans This is the way that they operate. |
Hopeforallone: @ Worry - You should not say such things be careful what you say. You should no better.I asked poster for HONEST facts about I eventually found myself in Nigeria by 2012 This is importent to give factual advice. If they went home & paid airfare then one outcome. (Possible 1 year ban) If deported back home then another. (10 year ban) But poster got snotty and would not answer. (A usual sign that there is something to hide!) There is no helping some people and patience runs thin! with them I will NOT comment any more in this poster. |
DUNIQUE1 Ok enjoy your TEN YEAR BAN! ![]() |
eazylion01: I stopped going to work for some days but my supervisor called me on phone and was like staying in my room won't help situation and nobody will help me,I have been going to different office, but like they are not ready to helpDo you have the money to pay your air ticket home? If so get out quickly! You will not be black marked in other countries. |
eazylion01: Hello house,I am sorry for your dilemma, someone will give advice. THIS POST SHOULD BE MADE A "STICKY" FOR ALL PEOPLE THINKING OF UAE TO READ! |
DUNIQUE1: I am waiting oh my dear, God is with you as I am reading your statement on here regularly. I also overstayed my student visa after they refused to renew it 2009, I eventually found myself in Nigeria by 2012 which is why they have made life so hard for me. I hope they realise that I have been punished enough for that and they free me. Be positive and it is well with you, @ Girlfio has given you the best clue on here, get those things ready and you will be favoured in court.Did you leave or were you deported? (Or did you "find yourself" there by magic?) Did you pay your own air fare to leave? Were you accused / convicted of anything else like working? What length of ban were you given (normal is 10 years.) All of these will affect your chances in the future! |
Dehonourable: Justi. Has answered ur questns. But I think dubai weather is damn harsh compare to d northern nigeria due to lack of rainfall. One gud thing is dat evry room, shop, tax, Bus has steady air condition. What about husslin round on streets looking for work, no funds to go in shops! What about all the people working on construction jobs! No air con there! Then go home to sleeping with ten men in a room, how hot is that going to be? We hear of 100 Nigerians in those conditions for every one in an air conditioned office? |
donciccio: Presently I've a bal of 600k + in acc cos I borrowed my friend some cash and I hope to spend 600k for this trip in late August. Hoping that part of my July n August salary will keep me up wen I return frm d trip in September.[b]If that is what you are going to apply with then I suggest that you should not waste your time or money! VO will only look at your bank Acc now, not possible future earnings. Proposing to spend the bulk of your money on a visit is a big red flag![ This is a sure way to get another refusal./b] |
Hopeforallone: he falls under these statements - In YOUR shoes I would be more concerned with what lies he has told YOU! |
reobabe: Pls oh hw many hrs is it frm lokoja 2 lagos? On foot? By donkey? Car? Bus? Plane? |
snip09 Since you are new please learn the rules. Do not post with silly characters from mobile phone! |
lovelydamsel: I don't understand,re you talking about body odour or harsh perfume/deodorant/body spray.I think you are mixing them up.Poster is talking about the sort of person who pours a bottle of strong usually cheap perfume or deodorant over themself. They smell out a room or plane making everyone feel sick. (Are you one of these?) |
haseebhas: I am uploading i had these objection earlier but at that time i got my visa in appeal and now i heard there is no such thing as appeal anymoreNothing to appeal about! Your finances do not match up with what you have said. Your bank account looks like money has been added to boost your chances. But MUCH WORSE you have NO TIES TO RETURN HOME! Without ties to home you will not get visa, you look too much like a person who would overstay. |
