aibisoye: Hello House,

I have an issue. I have been to Dubai & Ghana this year. I want to apply for UK Visa, My half Sister wants to invite me over for holiday. I currently earn 120k, and have savings of like 500 - 600k to more.
1. Is this amount okay?
2. I may change jobs soon, can i still apply after changing jobs as i wont be entitled to leave ?
If you are not entitled to leave how will you get time off?
You will need strong ties to return home.
A letter from an employer that you have been with for some time is good.
Your circumstances do not look good.
You have a small amount of money and no ties!

catherine0709: Goodmorning everyone, is NYSC certificate a must to get student Visa to study Msc in UK?
UK could not care less about NYSC.
That only applies to jobs in Nigeria!

UKBA want to see is that you have the finances for your trip and will not rely on UK. public funds.
The big one is very good ties to home that proove that you will return after your visit.

Then people might answer.

But YOU can find this out by searching on GOOGLE for prices.

Samy UI Student: Pls someone should guide me...its my first time.
Even if self employed you will need to show where money in your bank is coming from. Tax certificate would be good if you have them.

You must work on your ties to home.
These show visa officer that you will return.
Do you have property, family or children?
Also read back through this thread and make notes. Everything that you need is here.

tunamost: I'm a 27 years old Nigerian graduate with a B.tech in Biochemistry...someone told me most companies and organisations in Qatar employ foreign science students...He said its very easy to get a job in Qatar...Plz my fellow nairalanders how true is this info and if true plz how can I get a job there cuz I need to start my life afresh in a new country...Plz I need enuf info on this and if there's any other country u can suggest where I can find job I wouldn't mind..fanx a lot...I await ur comments.
We have answered this question a hundred times but I will say it AGAIN.
Yes there are jobs in Qatar. BUT!
For technical and white collar jobs
First selection will go to European or American white folk.
Then they will look at Chinese or Indians.
Finally they will look at black Africans.

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING TO ANY Thief agent whoever recomends them.
Go there on holiday and check the place out before committing everything.
There are no streets paved with gold!

It's good that money is going into your bank account.

Remember "keep it simple"
Show the total in your bank.
Show what you are paid in wages, (it would be good to have tax returns to back this up.)
Just state that " other income is from part time work"
As long as it is not huge sums there should be no problem.

abnice2004: good morng. i was told by a friend that someone cant get a white collar job for a start in dubai even if d person have masters. pls i want a response. na beg i det veg o
It's not that white colar job is impossible, just very difficult.

The local employers looking for top people are looking at Europeans and possibly Americans first (white folk.)
Then they look at India or China people.
Then last black Africans.

That's just the way it is! shocked

kayeee4321: hi thanks for helping me out,
i have a 5yr old daughter to come home to and just acquired 1hectare of land sincey dad past away, and also have fixed investment of £1000.00since 2011..but ive headd ECOs dont care about fixed accounts, they only matter the readily available cash..but i can put in on the space provided on the applicatiom, once approved i can transfer the money toy savings account so it can be readily available?? you think that will work? sad
They want cash ready avaliable to pay travel costs.
Your savings can count towards your ties to home with property & child.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by worry359(m): 4:31pm On Jun 30, 2014
kayeee4321: @justwise
thank you for your immediate response, ive been employed with my current work for almost 5yrs,i get paid around £390 per month less bills and other expenses i can save upto £100 per month..i hope i can save upto £650 by the time i submit the application
i will send in my 2 IVs fry bf and his dad, their payslips, bank statements, electric bills etc..do you think £650 is enough eventhough theyre going to provide for all my expenses? sad
Very sorry but your chances do not look too good.
Where you are weak is on your ties to return home, especially with going to visit boyfriend.
UKBA may think that you will want to stay.
Also you are using all your savings and funds for the visit, they do not like this.

As you do not have a lot of money it would be a shame to loose it on a visa application that may fail.
You should get better ties to home first & build up your funds.

jidecole23: good day.

To the gurus in the house, am having some issues with the exchange rate. on oanda 1 naira to pounds is 280 and 265 pounds to 1 naira(buying and selling difference). my question is can I use the 265 rate instead of the 280 rate because at 280 d money in my account(2,050,000) would not be up to 7830 pounds. please I need advice on this. Thanks
It's no good fooling yourself with exchange rate tricks!
The U.K.B.A. will use the standard rate at the time that they process your application. If it does not add up then no visa!

dahfweshdude69: Nope....my cousin and I will b going to the embassy around August...my mom met an education consultant Who said they do deny most students visa..am only trying to verify why...we have tried usa n we were denied twice.. we don't want the Same thing 2 happen
Ha Ha It all comes clear now!
Education consultant = Agent = Thief!
I am sure that your so called consultant will soon be offering to get you a student visa, just pay him a fee.
Too many fake agents preying on students.
As long as you have confirmation letter from school then you can do the rest yourself.
Pay no agent!

zabrinma: only decept documents was the police report claiming have travelled to two other countries on my old missing passport
I beg look through my case again administrative review i beg now.
You MUST understand!
YOU have admitted to fraud in your documents.
It is not the place of anyone on this forum to help you continue fraud.
Begging for review or appeal will not help you.
Sit back, read the requirements in full and improve your package HONESTLY for next time.
Do not try to boost your documents, you will fail and get ban.
