See ba,
Nothing will make Buhari leave office wallahi.
All the strength used in protesting should be diverted to strategies to elect a better candidate.
Revolution parties should encourage people to come out and vote in mass as they do in the North come 2023. |

GeneralPula: Is every state not on its own now? Nah. What i mean by states being on their own os them controlling their resources. If you want to mine gold in Nassarawa or Zamfara, you must get approval from the Federal government. Most times, this approval even takes a long period. The Federal Government should allow states create their own state police. The Federal government has no business with schools, roads, ports in any state. Each state should hustle for money by any means and pay a percentage to the federal government. The Federal government will then use this percentage from each state to pay the Army, the Police, Customs and the Senate. That is what is practiced in America. That is what is partially practiced in Canada and Dubai. Imagine the president telling you that they are in charge of releasing funds for projects in local government yet he is complaining that local governments are not functioning. How can local governments function when it is not the states that allocate funds for them. |

Just imagine Nigeria was the United states for once.
FBI will quickly black list her NIN and she wont be able to travel out of the country.
If she withdraws money from any where, they will easily pin point her location.
With the help of mobile networks, the last five people she called will be in police custody.
But this is Nigeria where you can commit crime without a face mask and go scot free |

sapphiere: See what this man has brought to his family. Now the kids and wife would have suffered if his wife was not a financially independent woman. Staying faithful seems impossible to Nigerian men.
On a second thought, what if it's not the side chick that killed him? No girl would want to kill a man that constantly gives her money. I believe some men killed him. Maybe business went wrong.
The article did not say the lady is guilty. She remains innocent till proven guilty at the court of law.
That's not enough evidence.
This is Nigeria where even a guard can be bribed. Didn't you watch the video where Pretty Michael bribed guards to act evil for him?
THE SIDE CHICK IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE BY THE COURT OF LAW
Thank you for this logical questions. I still believe that someone or group of people pulled this off. Maybe his business allies.
A single woman cannot pull this can thing. There are more to this story. If it was a guy that was caught without proof, all these good logical reasons won’t be considered. |

I would have said Igbos have talent in electing bad leaders but I just remembered it’s the same in most of the states in Nigeria.
At the end of the month, even if a state does not generate any profit, they still get allocation from the Government.
This structure makes Governors Lazy.
How can you be fed when you don’t work?
If Nigeria is restructured where a state gets all the profit they make, citizens will be more selective with the kind of Governors they elect |

seunmsg: Nigerians are running Ads on Nairaland but you think they are not doing same on Twitter. Are you for real? I can be Twitter is making more money from Nigeria targeted Ads than Nairaland in a year. So, what’s your point exactly?
This conception that Nigerians are poor and can’t afford some things is just funny and silly at the same time. Nigeria is a country of over 200million people. Even if about 80million are dirt poor, we still have nothing less than 100million people that live above poverty line. That’s still a huge market by any standard. You believe 100 million Nigerians live above poverty line? I just hope this is true. On Nairaland, you pay based on the Section you want to advertise on. Political section is currently 106k per week. Twitter, Facebook and Google most times run a cost per click model. In this model, you are charged based on the number of clicks you get. Nigerians bid as low as 0.02$ for a click. If I’m bidding for 0.02$ for a keyword, when I get 1000 clicks, I will pay only 20$. Seun knows this model will not pay him for his business that’s why he is not using it. |

To those saying that Jack Dorsey of Twitter is losing money from the Government's ban, I want to ask a question. How much does Twitter make from Nigeria?
I bet you it is not up to 0.1% of the companies annual profit.
Companies like Twitter and Facebook make money when people run adverts on their platforms. How many Nigerian companies or individuals run ads on Twitter?
Ever wondered why companies like Netflix and Spotify took years before they came to the Nigerian market. Ever wondered why Shoprite closed in Nigeria?
Some businesses cannot thrive here.
Look at Iroko TV.
The majority of Nigerians are poor and see most of these things as luxury.
If Twitter was a Nigerian company, they would have closed down. Twitter is still in existence because of profits from First world countries like the U.S and Europe.
Jack is only trying to fulfil his companies goal of being a global company or he is fighting for what he thinks is right. |
