Come as a single man and your wife must be ready to wait for 5 years or more. If you come as a married man you will have difficulties in getting papers.

Thanks so much.

The questions is unclear:

You’re married wanting to pretend you’re a single person?

Or you’re single wondering if you should get married before leaving?

In any case, it’s relative .

The former. Married but thinking if I should pretend to be single.
I want to know if there are favours to gain from either (I mean being married or single).
Thanks

Unless you are going with your wife. Otherwise go as a single guy. Even when you are going with your wife , make sure that she can work as well:

At the end of the day, it all boils down to what you are going to America or Europe to do.

As for me, I am only out here to make money with my youthful strength, no amount of money is ever enough, but we can make enough to invest at home based on exchange rates. That is my own aim of leaving naija. I can decide to eat once or twice a day, I can decide to be sharing a room with someone so that I can save more In terms of rent and other things. Just to save some change, but you can’t do all that when you have your family with you.

It is a lot easier as you do not also have much responsibilities as a single guy. You also know that in those who years when you are struggling to get your papers, that you are also working, invest, build something in naija. Maybe some houses for rents. By the time you get your papers fully ready to return to marry, you will have something to show for it. Even when you still want to remain in the abroad with your family, you can easily call money from your investments in naija and live at least a good life. As a married man, except that your wife is working also in naija while you travel. You can’t make much. That money you will be sending for their upkeep would be useful as it will be going to investments instead of consumptions.

But if your plan is to relocate and live abroad forever, then you can go with your family, but it still makes sense for you to atleast stand a little on your own in a foreign land before bringing a second or third party.

This your answer is apt
Thanks a million

Depends on what you are considering.
If you have family life as a priority, please go as a married man.
You and your wife will go through some testing times that, once you get through it, will bring you guys together. Career opportunities are less though, in comparison to single men.

As a single man you will be open to more opportunities, especially if you have a culture of high performance in your career.
When it comes to settling down, TRUST me, you are likely to find it challenging.

Thanks. I honestly appreciate this answer.

Happy New year House.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of entering the USA as a married man as against entering as a single?

What are the opportunities for being a married person and being single in the USA?

Which is better?

Thanks.

To begin with, what is he relocating there for? Education or what? Does he have permanent residency or work authorization that would allow him to work legally? If answer is yes to the work authorization question, then the advise below would suffice.

Tell him to learn some Automation Software Testing Tools like Selenium WebDriver or HP UFT. He can also learn some Test Manangement tools like HP ALM or JIRA. I know about all these tools because I work with them and I know how much experts in those tools are being sought on a daily basis.

If he doesn't have the time to learn all the listed tools, he should try and learn Selenium WebDriver and maybe HP ALM.
He can get the Selenium Training video course on www.udemy.com for $10.

He will thank me later.

Please how much does it cost to learn those skills in Nigeria?
Thanks

See the taxi cab with confused colours. I never knew there were states in Nigeria with such funny colour combination for taxi.

This is the official colour for taxi and commercial buses in Edo State.

I saw this vehicle parked close to one my shop, and a keener look of the write up got me wowed. It's reads:
"Don't say you are lucky till you marry.
What could prompt a man to write such on a rickety vehicle:
Could it be he was rich before but his wife ruined him. What could have prompted this?

Bros, honestly, you are crying over nothing.

Your wife is a woman and you should understand her own position. She doesn't want her relative help to enjoy same privilege as her and her children before things get out of hand. Also, she isn't comfortable with the affection you are showing the girl. You were even wrong to quarrel her and say nasty things to her. Your good intention was spoilt by your action.

Guy, na you find trouble! Even me sef de suspect say your eye de chook for the babe as you don de reason her as second mother. tongue

NaMeAboki:
OP was on point until he made the same mistake many others continue to make concerning adoption of Sharia in the 12 northern states.

Let us get this very clear; so far Wike is only governor to declare a particular religion (Christianity) for his state; I repeat, no other other governor has done what Wike did - including those northern governors who introduced sharia penal code in their states.

There is a big difference between adopting a religious law (alongside others) targeted only at it's adherents (Sharia for Muslims only) against adopting or declaring a particular faith (Christianity) as the blanket and only religion (at the exclusion of others) for a state - as Wike did.

Unfortunately, many Nigerians are being deliberately misled by those opposed to Sharia (CAN, the media etc) into believing otherwise - it is even more unfortunate that many seemingly intelligent folks have been gullible enough to have fallen for this false narrative; including the OP.

If anyone is gullible here, that person is you.
How do you justify the destruction of alcoholic beverages in states like Kano and others strictly on religious ground?
If Sharia law was only for Muslims as you want us to believe, then Christians and others in Kano should be allowed to enjoy their alcoholic beverages in peace without being harassed.
Thanks

shocked

Fear Isikwuato village people, they won't rest till they see Bright back home tapping palmwine.
But the truth be told, some people take life so seriously.
That was a joke and the only job of a comedian is to make jokes.
What did they expect from signing a comedian.

If EU and UN can't understand a joke and relate it to heartless Nigerian girls who want brothers to use up their life savings just to woo them then the joke is on them.

The UN is very hypocritical.
Basketmouth made a joke about rape but Busola Dakolo lied about being raped. Yet she is still an ambassador.

Basketmouth may be a shoddy backstreet comedian, but the truth remains that he has the balls most Nigerian comedians don't.

Dude doesn't give a hoot about being political correct.
And since being an ambassador entails being political correct, the UN can take their ambassadorship and shove it up the Pope, the Dai Lama or the Oba of Bini's butt.

But rape is not an option.
It is wiser to spend on yourself and pleasure yourself by yourself.
Rather than undergo a feminist's intensively expensive rigorous recruitment process just to chop smelly and sour kpekus.

That was one joke taken too far.
You may see it as a joke, but some other persons may see it as workable advise.
Thanks

People keep saying obaseki has done alot but Benin remains one of the worst cities(not even a city to me) in Nigeria. To me, Oshiomole did very well compared to obaseki. Name the things obaseki has done since coming to power. They told us he created jobs, but na audio jobs. They told us he is maintaining the roads, but any time rain falls you will hate being in Benin. Power issue is worse, no jobs in Benin...i can go on and on. I think Benin people are being sentimental... they only want their son in power for 2 tenures. Who knew obaseki if not for oshiomole that brought him to limelight. I remember vividly how ize-iyamu would have won if not for oshiomole. You cannot take away who oshiomole is, he has always been like that since labour union days.

Now I understand better what the Holy Bible meant when it said

Does this make sense to you? Stop reasoning like the typical Nigerian police. Why will the owner of the car want him dead now that he is about to finish payment? The best line of inquiry will be to check his call logs for that day. Everyone that called him that day is a suspect. Their daily activities checked and phone location data can always be verified from the network log.

He was right.
The car owner is a prime suspect.
