Nigerians are naturally a stubborn lot......set in their ways and believing rules are made to be broken!

Are there people who man those gates? I bet the answer is Yes! But guess what, the people who lock those gates will still be the same one who opens it when you squeeze some notes through the metal grills.

In one south eastern state, they built this kind of border gate at the major boundary. It remained porous and we arrived through there.

Unfortunately, we were about to exit the state (due to our nature of job) specifically on Tuesday only to meet a long queue at the border.
Alas! The state Governor was said to have come earlier, locked the gates and left with the key cheesy cheesy We had to turn back and exit through another border cheesy

It seems you don't know the level of organisation and discipline in Anambra state (right down to the community level)! This not working in other states doesn't mean it wouldn't work in Anambra! When they set their mind to tackle a problem, and you stand in their way.....God help you!

I think it is clear he means SEPARATION FROM AREWA, one way or another, is the answer.

Every honest indigenous Nigerian knows that separation from Arewa is what is needed for this territory presently called Nigeria.

Nigeria would have been a much more peaceful, progressive and united country if the Orka coup had succeeded! The core muslim north has been lucky and been having things their way since before independence when the colonialists decided Nigeria would be handed over to them! But the core muslim north have used up all their nine lives, and it's now time for everyone to answer their papa name!

But Gowon was not negotiating with a weaker side, the Regions were just as powerful as the Federal Government. The Eastern Region did not recognise Gowon as head of state. Back in the days of Regionalism, you were head of state only if the Regions recognised you as so. Ojukwu never really recognised Gowon as head of state until Aburi. These days, if any state Governor says he doesn't recognise Buhari as President, Buhari can order the nearest division to go and remove that Governor, because the states are small and weak. But back in the days of Regions, a President could not do that because Nigeria was made up of 4 Regions that were huge and strong. Thats why Gowon could not even fire Ojukwu as Governor of the Eastern Region.

The only thing Gowon could do was meet Ojukwu in Aburi for talks. After both men met, discussed and reached and ith agreement which both men signed.

When they came back, Gowon broke the agreement, which left Ojukwu with no choice than to declare Biafra. Gowon could not keep to the agreement he signed because it prevented him and his fellow Northerners from becoming masters of Nigeria.

The North wanted to be masters of Nigeria and the only thing standing in their way was the stubborn Igbos who refused to be cowed. Thats why the war was fought

Bros Gidgiddy, don't waste your morning arguing with Igbo hating bigots! It's an effort in futility as when it comes to Igbos they will see white and call it black! Apparently, appending ones signature to an agreed document means nothing to these uncivilised dickheads as they feel it's perfectly ok to wake up the next morning and change their mind!

A drive along Enugu-Abakaliki expressway.

I'm impressed with the ride. The road looks durable....is adorned with working streetlights.....is relatively neat, clean and clear of that annoying sand/sediment you normally see on some of our roads when the gov't just couldn't be arssed to sweep it....there's well tended lawns at some points....and i can see a effort to plant trees as well. The only negative i see is that the road isn't marked.

how does that concern you. Allow him to express his opinion as you have been expressing yours. Everybody can not think the same way.

Don't mind the mofo! We fool ourselves with our mislplaced sense of security in the south in general and Igboland in particular, if we think we don't have a problem on our hands with this clandestine movement of truckloads of northerners down south! What are they looking for in Igboland? They've held power for the greater part of 60 years since 'independence' and deprived Igbos of political and economic advantages at any given opportunity! Yet now they're leaving their 'el-dorado' with all its advantages of producing presidents....hundreds of local gov'ts....gov't enabled billionaires.....smooth expressways.....multi-million dollar dams.....smooth higways and flyovers.....inter-state train services.......they leave all these and are breaking the lockdown to sneak into Igboland that they've marginalised and deprived from 1966 to date!

I actually feel for them as these youths are equally victims of the wickedness, nepotism, bigotry, greed and visionless rulership of their elite, but i'm now in self-preservation mode and have to first think of securing my homeland from COVID, threats of terrorism and any other thing the presence of these youths may bring to the south-east!

Nonsense, if you think you are not landlocked why don't you go?

Noise noise and more noise. Lol.

Your head is a maelstrom of conflicting hate-induced ideas and theories!

You say Igbos are not capable of leaving on our own, that we need others (SS in your opinion) to leave with them for a myriad of reasons. But that it wouldn't happen because the so called SS don't want another 'parasite' to feed on their resources!

Besides the fact that you don't want to speak just for your particular ethnicity (that's if you're actually from said SS), thereby being guilty of exactly what you're trying to accuse Igbos of, can you tell us what this 'cohesive' and 'homogeneous' SS has done and is doing to stop the parasitism of 'one Nigeria' on their resources? Or is it just where Igbos are concerned that you start to get possessive? Have you been informed that Igboland also has oyel and gas that you're making noise about? Is it the same Igbos that have called for a referendum, gone out to agitate on the streets, and been murdered in cold blood by Buharis' Fulani soldiers....is it this same people that you're now saying are not prepared to leave if they don't leave with the so called SS? How does the actions of Ndigbo, in showing their desire to leave this shithole, compare with those of your 'one Nigeria' that has proven they're prepared to shed innocent blood to preserve their ATM....who between the two can actually be guilty of this 'attache by force' you accuse Ndigbo of? Assuming we go along with your accusation that Ndigbo are 'guilty' of this 'attache by force', can you tell us exactly how Ndigbo will go about arm-twisting ethnicities in this your SS to leave with them in the evenT Ndigbo leave 'one Nigeria'?

When you answer these few questions, it will begin to dawn on you just how silly you sound!

You are still dodging my question.

How can SE have access to the Sea/Ocean without crossing Nigeria border?

You as an Easterner, if you are traveling by land to Benin republic, you must pass through SW same as SWesterners traveling to North must pass through SS states.

SE is landlocked .. Simple as ABC

Your question is daft!

Setting aside int'l laws that govern nations access to the sea, isn't it quite presumptious of you to imply Nigeria as is will remain intact in the event of Igbos leaving?

And even if we go along with your laughable presumption, what makes you think the political-economy dynamics in place since 1966 (that's seen the Fulani at the top of the tree, and ably assisted by one or two southern Igbo hating ethnic grps) will continue whereby they will twist the arms of the Efik/Ibibio/Annang to go along with their devilish plan to try and cripple the newly emergent Igbo nation for no other reason other than hate and wickedness!?

On threads like this, it's a guarantee there are certain bigoted, Igbo hating monikers that will show face to try and sell the narrative that Igboland is 'landlocked', and yours is one of them! What drives your unhealthy interest in seeing Igboland landlocked?

Alleged $12m fraud: Why we released Uzodinma

ABUJA —The Special Presidential Investigation Panel for Recovery of Public Property, SPIPRPP, yesterday, said it granted administrative bail to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, after he developed high blood pressure in detention.

FG keeps mum over Uzodinma's travel ban, N4.3bn fraud case

The Federal Government has failed to make any comment on the alleged $12m (N4.3bn) fraud case of newly inaugurated Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, as well as the travel ban imposed on the governor.

When contacted for update on the alleged fraud case of Uzodinma, the Spokesman for the Attorney-General of the Federation, Dr Umar Gwandu, promised to give an update.

When Sunday PUNCH called six hours later, Gwandu said he had forwarded the inquiry to the appropriate quarters but there had been no response.

“I have not been able to get a response for now. When there is information, I will forward it to you,” he said.

Gwandu, however, could not say when the response would come.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which is also investigating Uzodinma for allegedly issuing a N200m dud cheque, however, said the new governor could not be touched because of his immunity.

Recall that the AGF had taken over all cases handled by the Special Presidential Investigation Panel led by Okoi Obono-Obla which was dissolved in September 2019 while Obono-Obla, has since become the subject of investigation.

One of the cases taken over by the AGF was that of Uzodinma.

The Obono-Obla panel had in line with Executive Order 6, placed a travel ban on 39 alleged treasury looters one of whom was Uzodinma.

Some others on the list included a former Senate President, David Mark; and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole.

Uzodinma, according to the panel, allegedly perpetrated fraud to the tune of $12m (N4.3bn) when he failed to execute a contract worth $12m awarded to his company by the Nigerian Ports Authority for the dredging of the Calabar Channel.

He had also been arrested by the panel but was released due to high blood pressure he suffered in custody, according to Obono-Obla.

The panel had also dragged Uzodinma before Justice Babatunde Quadri of the Federal High Court in Abuja for alleged non-disclosure of assets.

All of a sudden you vile Igbo hating and bigoted APC schmucks have a newfound love for Igbos abi? Only heaven knows why you feel the need to force yourselves on the south-east to the extent of shamelessly carrying out the kind of judicial heist you did that brought in that horrible and visionless mofo with a huge question mark on his character and integrity! This is someone that has a putrid smell of corruption and forgery following him everywhere he goes, but of course this means nothing to you ethnic and religious supremacists just because you want to 'capture' a Igbo state by fire by force! All this coming from a APC/Buhari gov't that loves to trumpet its 'anti-kwarruption' credentials!

Even this useless thread shows the wicked intention of that hopeless and directionless Uzodinma gov't! Assuming its true that he came in to clear the air on certain issues, who the fuc/k authorised snapping his pic to come upload on social media under the heading 'IHEDIOHA SNEAKS IN TO GROVEL AT UZODINMAS' FEET'? Anyway, i'm not surprised because this two-faced, holier-than-thou attitude has become the hallmark of you APC Igbo hating mofos!

Ihedioha has no more immunity, so just gather your facts and sue him to court, instead of placing 'investigations' in the hands of a greedy, conscienceless and compromised state assembly that's at Uzodinmas' beck and call!
