my brother, its really pathetic the kind of lies and propaganda coming out from certain quaurters. One in another thread stated that igbos did not vote for Abiola during the election and it got me shaking my head. Was in Enugu that year and i know for sure that Abioja got more than 80 percent of Igbo votes. Some elements are jst hell bent on making sure the Yorubas and the Igbo are not politically united. It leaves one begging for answers on who and what region or group stands to gain and has been gaining from the impasse. I urge u guys to wake up and unite!

No prizes for guessing who is gaining from any southern bickering and disunity! wink

Miracle1991:
An igbo man is naturally greedy and full of hate.
They want to have everything to themselves. They blame every misfortune on NIGERIA
Their cry for secession is because of the Niger delta oil, they want to dominate everybody.

Ain't it funny that Ndigbo left control of power at the center (since 1966 to date), and all this while power has been monopolised by the Hausa-Fulani* (read: core northern muslims*) ably assisted for the most part by the Yoruba! Now compare the time you lot say the 'greedy and power hungry' Igbos' had power at the center (remember during the period in question the PM was a northern muslim) to the time since then when the Hausa-Fulani have been calling the shots! Has the fortunes of 'one Nigeria' improved since then or nosedived? Also, you nasty bigots accuse the Igbos' of lusting for power at the time and being nepotistic (this accusation laughably is coming mainly from the Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba), but it appears these same individuals are comfortable with the Fulani admin' of Buhari....apparently, they see nothing wrong in his appointments and distribution of resources among the regions/states!

It's also worthy to note how the Fulani have hogged power since the 60s to date, and compare it with their empty and lame accusations of the Igbo being 'power hungry', etc!

It's funny that these people see Igbos' in the light they've painted us on this thread, yet there is virtually no moves or support in the core north and south-west for secession of the 'problematic' Igbos, or outright dismemberment of 'one Nigeria' so they can be on their own in all their 'saintliness, political sophistication and economic wizardry'!

Non of my damn Business , Both Northerners and Easterners are both economic migrants almajiri who fail to concentrate human capital development on their region, while north refuse education just to start rearing cattles and planting crops for money, or coming down south to hustle... the East simply ditch education to go and be shop attendant and trade apprentiship in other region or commit crime and when Northerners make money he rushes home to marry as many wives as he can and goes to mecca just to be called alhaji, and when Easterners also make money from other region they rush back home to build an empty mansion inside thick forest in their village, they pay their eze to get chieftancy tittle and start spending what they toiled for years to get in a matter of few days in December to january

so when will ur own village become Nigeria project too, is Ogun not Yoruba land what are ur people doing there, if I may ask since Lagos is no man land when will people from ur village become the govern of Lagos state? well with the look of things seems u are Igbo inside the east and not Igbo outside the east.

A city in the south-east region can become just like Lagos....if not better, with the emergence of Biafra or a homgenous Igbo nation. Lagos attained its present position because of Nigeria and inspite of just one particular ethnicity. Calabar or Port Harcourt would have been just as prominent if the Nigerian political-economy in place since the late 60s had given them the focus and edge it had given to Lagos.

Elections in Lagos are not free and fair....everybody knows this!

Nice one!

They should compliment this with strategically placed handwashing facilities around all public places! It doesn't have to be anything fancy....just a bucket or drum with a tap attached to it, and soap! People should be encouraged to wash their hands regularly, and the management in charge of the area concerned (could be a motor park, market or church or school) would have the responsibilty of ensuring the containers are topped up at all times.

Are Igbos cursed

I find this comment of yours quite funny, and i bet it's the usual Igbo hating APC monkeys that rushed to give you those 21 likes (and still counting)!

Everyone knows Nigeria is held hostage and in the clutches of a visionless, bigoted, nepotistic, jihadist and vindictive Fulani cabal, so just how the fuc/k does anyone expect any different from what's happening today!?

It says a lot about your two-faced, hypocritical nature that you see nothing wrong in a man like Uzor-Kalu walking free from prison, having been declared 'innocent' of stealing Abia state gov't funds! Pray, if Orji Uzor-Kalu is not corrupt and a shameless thief, then who is? Later now you schmucks will be yapping about how Ndigbo don't hold their regional/state political elite responsible for their actions and inactions!

I bet you also had in mind that surpeme court thief enthroned in Imo when you made you ill-advised post! Yet another example of the core muslim north controlled APC negatively interfering in the affairs of Ndigbo for supremacist and political reasons! NdiImo said they wanted Ihedioha and all could see how things were steadily changing for the better from the locust years of Rochas, yet you lot said 'NO', that rather what NdiImo need is a shady and questionable character who on a good day wouldn't look out of place in a police identification parade of muggers and armed robbers!

You think there would be any need for IPOB or any agitation for a referendum or secession if IPOB was getting there way in Nigeria of today? Dude, get real!

Another untrue statement.. the poor thing about Africa is that we don't know the fine details of our history unlike Europeans? You don't even know that your false notion of "decency" or "decent dressing" is an imported culture. In our true African culture, men and women wore little coverings because our weather did not demand, "decent dressing" as you may put it.

That's why many Europeans value museums and documenting their culture so their progenitors would not utter uninformed statements.

The hate you give, I give it back till it agonizes you.

It is my business when a crying Igboman is held back by his wife just because of the hatred he has for Yorubas. He did not stop there, he went ahead to create a topic and expressly stated his hatred for Yorubas, as though Yorubas are responsible for his lack of knowledge that Niger River crosses through Igboland that is linked by the very popular Niger Bridge.

So it is my business to defend my tribe when an ignorant crying Igboman cannot control his hate filled emotions, and typically blames Yorubas for all of his life problems.

Agonises me? Don't flatter yourself mate!

Fact of the matter is whatever 'hate' you see on forums like this from anyone purporting to be Igbo is more of a response to the vile hate the Yoruba have shown towards the Igbo right from the early 60s to date! We have Youtube clips of some of your elite in the 60s ranting about Igbos.....to Awos genocide during the uncivil war....to shooting at anything that moves.....to present day ill-adviced rants from some of your elite calling for death towards Ndigbo! Whatever 'hate' you see on forums like this from some you believe to be Igbo is only a response to the wickedness you lot have not only wished on us, but have also actively carried out on us, so don't come acting like you're some fuc/king saint on here!

By all means knock yourself out with your back and forth all day with e-warriors in your failed attempt at trying to sell the narrative that Ndigbo are 'landlocked'! For whatever reason, believing such gives you a stiff boner, so don't let me interrupt your wankfest! smiley

I am happy the stuff cited repeated the word "Landlocked".

While still letting you know it is your right to sail a river that is within your territory, but sailing that river beyond the boundary of your territory into foreign land because you want to access the sea, will be dictated by the political and economic terms decided by that foreign land you must traverse to get to the sea.

That Foreign land in my illustration above is Nigeria, or an independent NigerDelta.

You must humble your arrogance and seek mercy. You have no other choice.

And how the fuc/k is any of this your business that you spend the entire morning dragging issue with Biafrans/Igbos? You people are so evil and malevolent walahi!

The responses from our Nigeriian brothers is funny. You guys really want Igbo to fail grin grin

This is what i've known for years now!

I've stated it to my kinsfolf.....esp' the naive, dumb Igbos that still believe in 'one Nigeria', that the efforts by Ndigbo towards attaining economic progress will be sabotaged at every turn, both overtly and covertly, mainly by elements from the Yoruba and Fulani ethnic stock! The negative feelings, attitude and actions from some in these two ethnic groups will prevent us from reaching our full potential in this cursed country!

Notice how they salivate, obsess and w'ank over the prospects (however untrue or unfounded they may be) of a potential Igbo Republic being landlocked? This obsession for sabotaging Igbo interests and wanting to hold us down while they use 'one Nigeria' to gain advantages over our heads has been going on right from the late 60s to date but some of us are just to naive to notice it! This is one of the main reasons i support Mazi kanu and IPOB!

Abakiliki is coming up well but comparing it with Owerri is comical ...

Three five star hotels in Owerri alone ...

Owerri has a bigger economy and better buildings than Abakaliki, but that's to be expected as Abakaliki is a relatively new state capital! However, i believe Ebonyi in general and Abakaliki in particular has a better quality of road network than Imo and Owerri respectively! Also, i believe Ebonyi in the past 5 years has progressed at a faster rate than Imo mainly due to leadership. However, Imo (for now) still has a bigger economy than Ebonyi!

That's where the official agitation will start. Our governors, senators and representative need to make this demand through the executive(Mr President) while carrying the law makers, the people and media along.

How long will we wait for FG to generate and transmit power? We can build this through contribution. We have done this in the east and it worked.

This National Grid nonsense is counter productive.

We have to take bold steps.

I quite agree with you that the bolded is nonsense and counter-productive, but it ain't gonna change anytime soon.....certainly not with us just blowing grammar!

The unified and centrally controlled economy in this so called 'federal republic' is benefitting some people who want to control everything so they can divert and corner a large chunk of benefits to their states, regions, politicians and businessmen, and it's these people that will work (both overtly and covertly) against any moves to decentralise the Nigerian political-economy so every region can answer their papa name and develop at their own pace!

Bring any smartass/i-too-sabi bill to the national assembly....they're waiting for you! wink

I do wonder at times where umahi is getting all the funds to execute all these quality projects with a low igr and federal monthly allocations?

He's using local contractors instead of the likes of Julius-Berger and Arab contractors, as well as sourcing a lot of his building materials locally. The good thing with this is that it keeps profits within the state as well as employ a lot of Ebonyi youths in construction, unlike what obtains when using foreign contractors like the Chinese who not only import a lot of their materials from their country, but also bring along a lot of their people for the job!
