China has become the world's largest food importer, and the country's total amount of food imports is expected to reach $140 billion in 2023, according to an industry report recently issued by the China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products.
TouchNfollow: Sanwo-Olu inaugurates agric products export to China
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting private enterprise as he lauded the export of 11 containers of agricultural commodities to China.
The commodities, consisting of Sesame Seeds, Cassia Tora, and Mica, were shipped through the Nigerian Exporters Hub, an initiative aimed at promoting non-oil exports from Nigeria.
Speaking at the event on Monday in Ikeja, the state capital, Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of value-added exports and encouraged Nigerian businesses to explore opportunities beyond raw materials.
“By processing our agricultural products locally, we can create more jobs, increase our export earnings, and enhance our economic competitiveness,” he said.
The governor was represented by the Director of Commerce, Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment, Titilayo Adeshina.
Sanwo-Olu highlighted the economic significance of the exported commodities and their potential to foster international trade and strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and China.
b]The event was organised by NEXHUB in collaboration with the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture to unveil the first batch of exports from Lagos to China.
NEXHUB is an offshoot of the Nigerian Export Trade House China and the Far East region.
He commended NEXHUB for its efforts in facilitating exports and creating opportunities for Nigerian businesses.
The governor, therefore, advised NEXHUB to continue innovating, expanding, and exploring new markets while calling on other Nigerian businesses to emulate the firm.[/b]
“Today’s event is proof that we can build resilient, inclusive and prosperous agricultural and solid mineral sectors that will serve as catalyst for national development.
“In conclusion, I declare these containers officially unveiled, symbolising Nigeria’s readiness to engage with the global market.
“I wish Nigerian Exporters Hub continued success and look forward to witnessing more milestones in Nigeria’s export journey,” he said.
The Chairman of NEXHUB, Victor Ayemere, explained that the firm was established to simplify the export process and empower Nigerians to participate in exportation, generating foreign exchange.
“We want every household to benefit from foreign exchange earnings.
“We must all work together to improve Nigeria’s economy, rather than leaving the burden solely on the government,” Ayemere said.
He noted that many Nigerians were unaware of export opportunities created by the federal government, adding that was why NEXHUB offers training programmes and practical guidance for exporters.
He said that the firm assists its subscribers to get the market and advises them on what, when and who to export to through the Nigerian Export Trade House in China.

STARTING A CASTOR PLANTATION IN NIGERIA
This is the best period of the year to chose your land for castor plantation (Jan-March ). You may need to walk round the land . Do inspection of the topography, You may do a sand sampling, Sometimes I make sample planting of just 3 or 5 heaps to see what happens, You may need to do some weekly watering for 4 weeks. Now you can clear your land cheaper and better preparing for large planting, You know your land better now than any other time, Sometimes I plant pepper on the cleared land not to leave my farm land empty , but you may need water pump or irrigation to make your dry season crops survive , though you sell your harvests at higher price at this dry season. Now your land is better understood familiar, cleaned and marked ready for planting, Immediately the rain starts in your area . You start transplanting your young nurseries castor plants or plant your castor seed . Start now you could save up to 50% cost of cultivation.
Its an umbrella plant, It looks like weed .
GET ALL THE TRAINING (ONLINE OR PHYSICAL) SUPPORT YOU NEED TO EARN MILLIONS IN JUST 7 MONTHS AFTER PLANTING & THERE AFTER EVERY 6 MONTHS FOR 7 YEARS FROM YOUR VERY OWN CASTORS FARM
✅It's been discovered that Nigeria has the best land to grow castor in the world, yet we imported this castor oil product what of #38billion yearly and yet it's not enough. Why? Because of its diverse use and enormous benefits and importance in almost all industries and also used as a basic thing in our everyday lives.
Castor bean is so important that we don't even know. Uses of *CASTOR PLANT* Castor bean is so important that we don't even know.
*The reason why your paints glossy is castor*
Its a basic thing in our life.
*Woman in labor need castor oil*.
*Even the cars we drive glows, thanks to castor( talking about the paint)*
*The shinny woodwork and furniture in your house. Castor is the secret*.
*Anything you see that is shinny has Castor oil in it*.
Do you know that *Electricity generating Companies need castor oil....unfortunately Electricity company in Nigeria import castor oil for their transformers*.
*The money in castor is even more in production of its oil*. *With a small machine. A castor oil producer can make 1 billion naira in a year*
Crude castor oil could be sold to *electricity company, textile industries, paint industries, Aviation industries*.
Pharmaceutical industries to mention few . All this industries needs castor oil and presently they import the oil from India and china.
*Pharmaceutical industries need organic castor bean oil to produce pain killers*
*The world consumption is high and production is too low*
Castor is very rich in protein, but also very poisonous, because of the high Rasin content. Though the rasin can be removed.
*Castor is a 7 year plant*. This means that one time investment will last for 7 good years....to me this is incredible.
*A ton of castor bean sells for $1,500 USD as at now*
BUT IN NIGERIA IT GOES BETWEEN N200-N1,500 PER KG
If you plant castor on 10 acres of land (4 hectare ). *You get 4 ton every 6 months for 7 years or 1 ton per hectare or 2.5 acres.
This means you will harvest for about 15 time in 7 years
*It starts producing as from the 5month after planting*.
*It only need 4 rain, or watering to survive*.
*And that makes you a silent millionaire if you can plant up to 10 acres * because people don't even know it when they see it.
We have good castor seed in Nigeria and the best land for castor plant so what are you waiting for.
We makes available good different types of castor seeds (finest quality of hybrids)* Medicinal Uses*
Very high demand as food ...newly discovery in Nigeria. Note this specie is not common to most people.

Castor oil has many uses in medicine and other applications.
An alcoholic extract of the leaf was shown, in lab rats, to protect the liver from damage from certain poisons. Methanolic extracts of the leaves of Ricinus communis were used in antimicrobial testing against eight pathogenic bacteria in rats and showed antimicrobial properties. The extract was not toxic.
The pericarp of Ricinus showed central nervous system effects in mice at low doses. At high doses mice quickly died. A water extract of the root bark showed analgesic activity in rats. Antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties were found in ethanolic extract of Ricinus communis root bark.
*Other Uses*
Extract of Ricinus communis exhibited acaricidal and insecticidal activities against the adult of Haemaphysalis bispinosa Neumann (Acarina Ixodidae) and hematophagous fly Hippobosca maculata Leach (Diptera Hippoboscidae).
The Bodo tribals of Bodoland, Assam (India), use the leaves of this plant to feed and rear the larvae of muga and endi silkworms.
Castor oil is an effective motor lubricant (Bio Deisel) and has been used in internal combustion engines, including those of World War l airplanes, some racing cars and some model airplanes. It has historically been popular for lubricating two-stroke engines due to high resistance to heat compared to petroleum-based oils. It does not mix well with petroleum products, particularly at low temperatures, but mixes better with the methanol based fuels used in glow model engines. In total-loss-lubrication applications, it tends to leave carbon deposits and varnish within the engine. It has been largely replaced by synthetic oils that are more stable and less toxic. Jewelry is often made of castor beans, particularly necklaces and bracelets. Every other shinny/glossy thing glows because of Castor extract
*Habit, Growth & Horticultural Uses*
Although Ricinus communis is indigenous to the southeastern Mediterranean Basin, Eastern Africa, and India, today it is widespread throughout tropical regions.[5] In areas with a suitable climate, castor establishes itself easily where it can become an invasive plant and can often be found on wasteland.
It is also used extensively as a decorative plant in parks and other public areas, particularly as a "dot plant" in traditional bedding schemes. If sown early, under glass, and kept at a temperature of around 20 °C (68 °F) until planted out, the castor oil plant can reach a height of 2–3 metres (6.6–9.8 ft) in a year. In areas prone to frost it is usually shorter, and grown as if it were an annual. However, it can grow well outdoors in cooler climates, at least in southern England, and the leaves do not appear to suffer frost damage in sheltered spots, where it remains evergreen.[citation needed] It was used in Edwardian times in the parks of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although not cultivated there, the plant grows wild in Southern California, notably Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
*It grows almost every part of Nigeria, even in the north where we have less rain falls and desert area . Yobe and jigawa state spent over 25 billion in the last 5 years planting castor alone to fight deserts , surprisingly our few factories producing castor oil are still less than 5 % production capacity for shortage of castor bean*.
*Cultivar*
Selections have been made by breeders for use as ornamental plants (heights refer to plants grown as annuals) and for commercial production of castor oil.
The SALIENT points here, everybody needs Castor oil, which is extracted from Castor seeds.
Nigeria spends Billions to import.
We can and should tap into the Billions! Nigeria has the best soil in the world for Castor cultivation from analysis of agricultural mappings. So why should we continue to make ourselves poor? Castor may not do well in water logged area . Unless the water is well drained*. *The money in castor is even more in production of its oil*. *With a small machine .
We also fabricate oil extractor machines in Ibadan
A castor oil producer can make 1 billion naira in a year*
I sometimes weep for this country wasting the youth .
Selling crude castor oil to electricity company , textile industries, paint industries , Aviation industries, Pharmaceutical industries to mention few . All this industries needs castor oil and presently they import the oil from India and china . Why can't we take advantage ? 50% Indians and chinas works and survived on castor farms and castor powered and related industries . I wondered what our youth are doing on the streets .
The amazingly painful thing is that Nigeria has the best soil for this noble plant .
In my planting castor I have never used fertilizer. But fertilizer can also be of help too. Bad seed . It is better for beginner farmer to start with seedling already nursed not seeds.
We have the best varieties of castor seedlings at the cheapest rate anywhere in Nigeria. Just call us on +2348120528950 and book your seedling early now, We are arranging very big facility for castor nursery and gardening.
Do you know that organic castor been sell for very double price , it does in south west of Nigeria and eastern part without stress.
Pharmaceutical industries need organic castor bean oil to produce pain killers .
The world consumption is high and production is too low .
However lazy farmers can not make money fast on castor, Every stage requires the farmers attention . Castor is better planted when the rain starts and before the rain goes . You space your plant 1.5 meters apart. And you can intercrop with maize at early stage & at 3 years old you can intercrop with yam.
Castor needs minimum of 4 serious rainfalls to survive , this is why it could do well also in northern Nigeria .
Next season is as soon as rain is steady , march and July preferably . So your seedling should be on ground by January February . Book ahead for your seedlings.
If properly managed castor can leave for 7 years. The mystery is that you get as many young plants growing near the old ones every year as the rain begins . So you can quickly replace old ones transplanting the new seedlings .
CASTOR can live for 7 years if well manage. harvest is twice a year after first harvest. But like every crop, there are challenges of pests and diseases which can be control with pesticides & fungicides.
The good news is that the company supplying the hybrid seedlings will serve as extension worker for your Castor farm too meaning we can help you to manage the farm or do visiting consulting for you.
Challenges in CASTOR Farming
1. FAST HEIGHT GROWTH. sometimes very common in very rich soil, Your castor grows very tall before first harvest, The solution is pruning. ( cutting the tall point to reasonable level .)
2. INSECTS ATTACK If you notice any insect eating castor leaves, use insecticide commonly used for beans or water melon.
It is better to have castor farms close to each other, The advantage is that it will be easy to fight common cause, You require 600 seedlings on 1 acre. This means that you require *1500 seedlings* on 1 hectare.
A serious farmer is expected to break even and buy his or her own permanent farm land within 2 years no matter how .
We are working hard to have land in all 36 states of Nigeria, to ensure easy access
Having no permanent land is no longer an excuse this days in Nigeria. It can be done on rented farmland as well
If Coutonu people could lease large land and farm successfully in Nigeria, i wonder why we can .
If you can do 5-10 acres then we have off taker with agreement deal . With terms & conditions.
Cooperative society, churches, schools, communities, families, companies or individuals.
Join my Castor WhatsApp group for only those who can do minimum of 5 acres..

Morbeta11: BRICS: Russia Says It Won’t Ditch US Dollar After Trump’s Victory
In a shocking twist for the BRICS alliance, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that they will not ditch the US dollar. In a sit-down interview Thursday, Putin confirmed that Russia is not abandoning the dollar, it is “simply refusing to use the dollar as a settlement tool.”
Putin called the US dollar a “pillar of US power,” saying that the US is undoing this power. The BRICS bloc has long pushed its de-dollarization initiative, saying the greenback won’t be king for long. The alliance recently discussed de-dollarization at its October Summit, and multiple countries have decided to stop using the dollar.
“The payments in dollars are decreasing,” Putin said. “Not too much, as of yet, but as a means of savings, it’s going down step by step. Very gradually it’s shrinking, it is a trend. It’s their own doing.” In regards to BRICS proposals of ditching the US dollar, the Russian president reaffirmed that “our proposals are not aimed against [the] dollar. This is simply us rising to the challenge of modern times, in response towards the development of the economy we are thinking.”
BRICS Continues Developing Payment System to Rival US Dollar
Putin also discussed how BRICS is currently in the development phase of a unified BRICS payment system rooted in the payment systems of different countries. The new system will be “using the groundwork of the systems in each country in exchanging of financial information,” the Russian president said.
The bloc has continued to embrace trades in local currencies. Moreover, they have worked to develop their unique payment infrastructures. These projects should only encourage financial autonomy. Moreover, they should be clear threats to Western hegemony and US dollar dominance. The most interesting point from Putin’s interview is that despite the de-dollarization efforts, Russia has decided not to ban or abandon the greenback: simply avoid it.
Earlier this year, Donald Trump hinted he would consider lifting sanctions, encouraging the use of the dollar. Now that he will be President again, it will be interesting to see how the bloc responds if he does just that. Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping have already opened the door to speaking to Trump, so perhaps there is a future where BRICS and the US dollar live in harmony. https://watcher.guru/news/brics-russia-says-it-wont-ditch-us-dollar-after-trumps-victory?c=349#google_vignette

ijustdey: A new Doctoral study by Uzoamaka Chukwuma at the University of Ibadan has revealed that many men are suffering spousal abuse in Lagos State.
According to the study, many married men are victims of spousal abuse but suffering in silence because “the society does not believe that men can be victims of spousal abuse; hence, the non-disclosure of such experience for fear of stigmatisation”.
This was part of the findings of a doctoral thesis carried out by Dr. Ifeanyi Uzoamaka Chukwuma entitled “Spousal abuse against men in Lagos state, Nigeria”.
Under the Supervision of renown criminologist and former Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Adeyinka Aderinto, the study found that married men among the sampled population in Kosofe, Lagos Mainland, Agege, Mushin and Ikorodu, are victims of different forms of spousal abuse.
According to Dr. Uzoamaka Chukwuma, married men suffered mostly emotional abuse, followed by sexual abuse, physical and economic abuses.
She explained that men who are older than their wives experienced more abuse than men who are younger than their wives.
According to her, married men whose wives were not in their first marriage were two times more likely to experienced spousal abuse while men in polygamous marriage are less likely to be victims of spousal abuse.
The criminologist who successfully defended her thesis at the department of Sociology, stated that despite being abused, “men would not report because they feared reactions from friends and family, did not want third-party interference and because they were still financially dependent on their wives”.
Dr. Chukwuma who noted that spousal abuse against men is underreported despite its prevalence in Lagos, asked that federal and state governments should establish centers to deal with male victims of spousal abuse and prosecute female perpetrators.
Dimaya: The most painful thing about Betrayals is that it never comes from your enemies. Betrayals have always been in every society. You probably are just growing into it.
When economic hardship visits the land, and people have to scrap by just to feed their children, most will do anything to get money to buy food and meet their basic needs.
The only thing you can do is to steel yourself against betrayal just like this video explains:
You cannot stop yourself from being betrayed. You can only reduce it's effect on you.
Betrayals are NOT exclusive to any group of people, ethnicity or race. They are an integral part of the "human animal" and manifest especially in times of localized and global wars and economic crises.

Lesgupnigeria: Get a good scion. The scion in the picture above is gotten from a parent tree with fast growing, high yielding and bigger nuts Now, after the seedlings have grown for some weeks, you can now start the grafting process.
cut the flowering top of the seedlings, and get your scion in a moist state.
To get a successful grafted seedlings, you need to add some water with your scion and wrap it with a paper to keep the scion always moist especially if you will be travelling a long distance with the scion.
Remembered when I travelled to an African country to get a mango variety that produce triple size of the normal mango size in the market, I had a success rate of 40% because I did not moisten it well.
Cut with a sharp knife about 1cm deep into the rootstock
Lesgupnigeria: The next step is to start grafting. You have to pay attention here because this is the most delicate part of it which you should not missed.
Before we proceed, let me explain what grafting means, the advantage of grafting over direct seeding, why you should go for grafted seedlings over ordinary seedlings, etc
The layman meaning of grafting is taking a part ( it's called scion) of a tree with desirable characteristics and Joining it with another (it's called root stock) to get early maturing, fast growing, and better yield.
Lesgupnigeria: The next step is to sort your seeds. how do you do that? Prepare a bowl filled with water and pour the amount of cashew seeds that can contain the bowl.
After pouring, the nuts that floats are not viable and should not be planted while the ones that settled at the bottom should be planted.
Planting the floating ones will lead to wasted time and effort because it won't germinate.
BoluwGoldenFarm: Value addition is where the big money is in agriculture. This boil down to just simple agro processing knowledge. We have the land to plant crops and we also have the people to eat the produce
We fabricate cashew sheller, boiler unit, dryer, cashew size grader machines in ibadan only on request and can be transported to any part of Nigeria and Africa country
Call or Whatsapp me on 08120528950 or calls only on 08136650972
Don't just sell unshelled cashew but add value to it by 1) shelling before selling 2) shelling & grinding before selling 3) Use machine to extract the oil and sell 4) Produce cashew snacks from the cake gotten after extracting the oil 5) Produce other snacks from mixture of cashew cake and beans or cassava flour or maize flour or sweet potatoes flour or yam flour etc
Call or Whatsapp me on 08120528950 or calls only on 08136650972
Lesgupnigeria: The second steps is as well important to reduce the mortality rate of the nut when planted.
Fill up the black polythene bag with well treated soil. How do you treat your soil? by exposing it to heat. You can bag your soil and place it inside hot water for 5 minutes.
Lesgupnigeria: I will explain with pictures culled from my farm
I cannot overemphasized the importance of using grafted cashew seedlings to start your cashew farm.
Faster growth, high yielding and disease resistance are some of the advantage of using a grafted seedlings.
The below are some of the processes to take to grow your own grafted seedlings
FIRST STEP
1. Choose a good hybrid seeds.
This is where the success and failure of your cashew farm is determined. Normally, ogbomoso has the best cashewnut in the world and also the best planting varieties. A good seeds should be purchased
