PoliticsRe: Kano Assembly Orders Removal Of Kwankwasiyya Inscriptions On Public Buildings by Ximonak: 9:00am On Aug 25, 2016
Why a public official feels he/she can inscribe his/her name or logo on Public buildings built with public funds is a part of the African mentality that is still holding us back.
It's high time a law against such is made because the politicians feel it there personal money(our tax-payer money).

Now, Kwankwaso would want to attract sympathy abi? He became a Governor twice and Minister under the PDP and later dumped the party and pretended all was well and he was a new creature. Him and shameless old Obasanjo have refused to acknowledge the hand that fed them, how can other mouths acknowledge their own hands when they feed them?

He who is not loyal should not expect loyalty from others.

FamilyRe: Help: Creche And Preschool In Lekki/ajah by Ximonak: 10:15pm On Aug 12, 2016
Onegai:
Schoolfees is now madness. We were told N280,000 per term for creche in Lekki 1 and everyone assured us that it was quite affordable. The cheapest I've seen was N230,000 per term. Schoolfees has more than quadrupled up (someone's fees came up from N600,000 to over N1m in a letter at the end of term with no prior warning). I've been told even the mainland is not being spared. Parents of children who are heading to Primary school are now opting to relocate outside the country to be able to afford quality, reasonably-prices schools (Father stays here, Mother moves with kids or both of them move depending on if their jobs are no longer able to afford a sensible lifestyle). People are selling off cars to raise schoolfees for the upcoming term or moving their kids to grandparents or relatives outside Lagos state for Secondary school. So many cannot afford a regular school anymore.

I feel if one parent is not working, get educational resources online for British curriculum, hit a bookstore and prep your child through PreKinder. Because why on earth should one pay N600,000 per annum to learn how to write 1,2,3 and A,B,C? Organise playdates for kids. I've met some mums who did that and their kids turned out great. And one supermum whose kids became superstars is now coaching other kids.
@bolded
That was exactly what two of the kids parents I do coach as side hustle did. Their school fees was approximately 2m for the year and you must pay all before you resume(different kids but same class).
Their parents opt for USA schools because they are citizens by birth.
When I asked they said it was far far cheaper, comfortable and we know we can't compete with USA academically and job opportunities is better there

Me just shake head and gave myself hope that it would be better in nigeria when I want to marry, if not my wife will give birth in either Canada or USA... I don't want my kids inheriting debts(Nigeria) that they knew not

The baby can swim, he didn't accidentally fall inside, those watching and filming it told him to jump inside.

It's a tradition in riverine areas to dip there even 3months inside d river and train them to swim.
I do buy crabs from little kids 4-6yrs (fisherkids), they take their small boat to the middle of big rivers that even me a swimmer won't venture and dive down very deep to set crab traps or get there catch for sells.

Thinking so too. But even if we generate just 1000MW of electricity from Nuclear, it will help in developing the subject and increase research also.

Governments are not ready to do anything on that solar and wind energy, so if they have chosen Nuclear, it just have to favour research.
Can you see only South Africa (black nation) is into it.

We have low maintenance culture
Just roads, apartments, streetlights w can't maintain.
Even the so called private firm fail in it.
GSM company will not fix their mast for days -weeks when a fault arises.

Remember We have not even clean the oil spillage in Niger Delta

When we get to that level we can use even "hydrogen energy," but for now.... noooo

It is always accidental discharge, that is the easiest statement to use to cover up what went wrong.

Even armed robbers don't make these "accidental discharge" let alone a trained police
All I see is coverup because the case holds no water, if looked deeply

EducationRe: What If A Speedster(The Flash) Ran Past You -NerdVarsity(+PICS) by Ximonak: 12:50am On Jun 28, 2016
CrazyScientist:
Speedsters, they exist in comic fictions and movies, the most popular of them being The Flash (DC Universe) and Quick Silver (Marvel). Comics and movies portray them as super speeding heroes, but what if they were real and were to run past you? Sorry to say but you’d get hurt, not the kind of hurt you can recover from… so lets go on another adventure, and see what would happen if one of them were to run past you…

We’d be looking at Quick Silver as our case study, the slower of the two heroes. Marvel Comics puts his speed at Mach 10 (2.1miles/second), which means he can run around the world in 3 and a Half Hours, if he were to hit you at that speed, it would have the same feeling as being hit by a large ship! Ouch! But we’re not looking at what would happen if he hit, but what would happen if a person running so fast, pushing so much air out of the way was to RUN PAST YOU…

Quicksilver would be so fast that he would only be in our field of view for 8 microseconds to 1millisecond, so we would only see a blue blur ‘flash’ by (get it…, “Flash By”,lol, okay bad joke…MOVING ON…), it takes our brain 13 milliseconds to register an image so by the time you’d have seen Quick Silver, he would already be 44 Metres away from you, so if you actually see him, all you’d see is a blue blur.

Also, moving at ten times the speed of sound, a shockwave will form in front of him, the air around him would be compressed 5.7times and would heat up to 400 degree celcius! 4times the boiling point of water! At that tempearature your blood would become a super critical fluid (having properties of both liquid and gas) and it would start to ooze out of every hole in your body (eyes, ears, skin pores…OUCH!), but this would only happen if you’re 4inches or less from a full speed quick silver.

The air around quicksilver would be travelling at about 10,156km/hr ,tornadoes travelling about 100km/hr can fling cars over 100m in the air and destroy buildings, not to talk of the air around quicksilver thats moving more than 20times that speed. Also, at that speed things like stones, pebbles, sand and coins would be thrown around with the speed of a bullet, so you don’t need to be close to him to witness the mass destruction that would occur.

So if Quick Silver was to run right past you, he’d cause incredible damage both to you and the surrounding environment, but the smarty pants at DC covered up for this impending damage by saying the speed force protects the surrounding from the immense speed of the flash. Thanks for reading, drop your comments and questions down below.

I do use my account to buy clothes and gadgets for people in my company.

I will order for female/male cloths/shoes with the size shown in their website, they will bring most times bigger size(did they want us to start shaping the shoe if we can do that for some cloths) because their return time is so frustrating. You will call and call for your items after returning the item(wrong size they sent to you) to their outlet, sometimes months.

I just reduced ordering cloths / shoes because of that

Currently, we have over 10 dfferent national databases and non of them has been harmonized.

It just goes to show how useless the fhucking system really is and how clueless our Leaders really are.
Bro and the way they make it seems as if Harmonizing all together is climbing Mount. Everest or 100years project.
Just because they know the positive reforms it will bring to the masses so. Anything that will benefit the masses is delayed/stopped by our politicians (right from military till now).
The benefits are dangers to politicians

Some benefits of Harmonising all these data
* BVN, TIN, NIM, EPassport all these makes the EFCC(Under good governance) work easy. Embezzlement will drop, a with corrupt practices

* Voting will be more credible Underage voters will be detected, clone cards and ghost people will be exposed

*finger print - police work better, less crime rate.

Why Nigeria?
PoliticsRe: N5,000: FG To Use Biometric Data Collation by Ximonak: 9:44am On May 24, 2016
gfullmoon:
The new National eID Card issued currently by NIMC is inbuild with National Identification Number (NIN)(which serves Personal identifier that can never be duplicated) which is issued instantly upon registration and which is even more valuable than the card itself. It also has Master Card enabled payment platform which if FG utilize in this Social Security Benefit, the vulnerable will actually receive their benefit without much stress. NIMC also manages a National Data Base (NDB) which the President had asked all data collecting agency to aline with them to enhance a Central Data Base for all Nigerians.
For now Mastercard works for only Access Bank, they said latter they will include other banks.
But the issue is why is FG not enforcing the NIM the way BVN was enforce.
NIM will be the best thing if fully independent and managed properly... all other cards will be integrated to NIM database.
PoliticsRe: N5,000: FG To Use Biometric Data Collation by Ximonak: 9:27am On May 24, 2016
rose54321:
We need an effective database management system, I wonder WHY NIMC is still issuing ID cards??

How can you issue card to people that are not traceable, no adequate housing numbering system, no personal identificationnumber, no nothing and you are issuing identification cards.

We need a consolidated database, a centralized database, not just the segmented BVN database, National population commission database, NIMC database and now the database for the vulnerable .
I wonder why people have not asked why database management don't work when it comes to Federal Government side. If banks can have working database management with less funds/profit Base mind, why can't FG work...
My answer because those in power(APC/PDP/KOWA etc) know that it will give the masses back the control of power which they don't want.

Imagine banks are incharge of production of voters cards; mean reduction of underage, no more ghost cards names/pix, fingerprint will work so you can use 100cards with one thumb (I did PVC distribution, voter registration,PO) so I know the flaws and corruption in the system.

I have TIN and NIM card now it's Bio(more ways for embezzlement, since funds will be released)

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Do Companies Outsource Their Services? by Ximonak: 7:18pm On May 15, 2016
Martins301:
In all of this, the Nigeria government is actually losing money and Nigerians are still suffering. Such contractors usually under declare their income or profits. They deliberately do not keep records or they falsify the records of workers they have so that the escape paying tax. Assume contractors were expunged from the picture, workers/labour will be paid the right/fair wage, and government can equally trace such payment and collect their own income tax.

But I trust the government and the minister of labour. They won't look at this issue cos someone is being bribed to maintain sealed lips.
GBAM that is the real reason
Imagine 250workers, 50 are company staff the rest causal staff or under contract(one oga at the top is the Head of the contracted company -company on paper)

tax is deducted from the 250 but only 50staff tax is being remitted to the government.
They know highest it's to bribe the inspecting NLC.
I don blame the companies, and there ar much industry and less unemployed, even the recruiters will make the job palatable with benefits.
