With Qualcomm processors about invading their PC market, they had better come up with something. Apple is also currently toying with using their custom AX processors for their Macbooks. Microsoft is working on one.

AMD may have envisioned something like this happening. Maybe that is why they went Multi-core (Hexacore or more since dual and quad cores are mainstream). It is an area where it will take ages for Qualcomm to reach.
If Intel wasn't jabbed in they ar,se, they will still be trying to figure out how to get into the mobile space. A lost cause. It has been plateauing at 4 cores for a long time in. Every year, its the same i-series with increased clocks, cache etc. Nothing to get Ryzen about .

This is in contrast to the GPU space. Nvidia's transition from Maxwell to Pascals was a huge advancement. A single GTX1070 could compete favourable with a dual GTX980 in SLI config. Same with AMD RX580... which became very very difficult to find, with units flying off shelves before a speck of dust could settle on them.

The best GPUs from Mali, PowerVR ,Adreno or Apple will find it difficult to render graphics the way a full fledged GPU would.

Someone made an attempt with Cryptocurrency mining on an Apple and Android device. It was found not to be worth it, if you factor how much the device was purchased and how long it will take to break even. Worse if electricity is not constantly available to power it.

They seem to have hung their towel in the GPU scene which powers Cryptocurrencies. The teamed up with AMD to integrate their processors with AMDs graphic units.
Iris Pro integrated GPUs was kind of "linked" with Nvidia technologies. If they decide to go solo, they will be paying royalties to either AMD or Nvidia.

The mining space is between Nvidia (which offers more performance at the expense of power and cost) and AMD (which offer better performance per watt and at lower cost).

They even have the issue in the mobile space, they will have to pay not only ARM but either Qualcomm, Nvidia (with Tegra), Exynos, Mediatek etc. to use even the tiniest bit of design method since almost all has been patented.

Intel has resorted to focusing on PC processors, cloud computing and of recent, self driving tech. At least dem get mouth for there.

Try each solution one after the other;

If you disabled some app, re-enable them.
If you used mobile data, use someone's Wi-Fi hotspot to connect and check Play store.
Also, check and make sure the date and time is correct.


If all fails, try replacing it.
Download Google Playstore from here...the one that ends in [O].

Make sure you have a working internet with enough MB. It is critical you get this right as the app will have to communicate with Google server for setup.

Install the downloaded app and run.
Once setup is completed, do not reboot yet. It will do some automatic install for Instant app, Webview etc.


If Google Play store still refuses to open, wipe your phone and restart. This time start Google Play after you are done setting it up.

If you are concerned about losing your text messages, use the Backup and Restore feature on Infinix to back up your contacts, notes, txt messages etc to SDCard. You can also back up the apps you installed manually.
For Whatsapp, backup the chats to your gdrive.
For every other thing, move to SDCard.

So what about all the other music videos that has women twerking and prancing about in next to nothing?!

Rooting is very risky if not done properly.
If you have another primary phone, you can make an attempt. If you don't, please try to read through and get everything before embarking on actually trying to root.

You will need a laptop, working internet and a good USB cable (that is not "touching".

Seems like there is dust or oily fingerprints on the glass covering the camera lens. Most repairers are not careful to avoid leaving fingerprints on the reverse side of the display.

Best is to take it to Carlcare or an experienced someone...who is neat...to open it and clean the glass.

I was once like the op, going through virtually all available players on play store, as I'm a sound freak. I did initially settled for Poweramp for it's solid sound quality,until I discovered viper4andriod. you see, the audio fx is all you need to fix if you are a audiophile, from there on the player you use doesn't really matter.
The better option, if you have a custom recovery is to flash a sound mod. This just takes your audio experience to a unreal level.

Viper4android is the king.

I once spent a whole Sunday afternoon tweaking my music to my taste. The level of customization is out of this world. And it doesn't even matter which kpalasa phone you use, all you need is patience.

On the battery, "BS 7Ah" is written on top with some warnings on the sides. Same for the original "follow come" batteries.

My generator battery was low yesterday and had to start it manually.
I read in its booklet that the batteries can be recharged so i did all the connection as stated in the books.
But, 8 hours later, it seems like it didn't charge as it could not start the gen when i tried to use it this morning. I had to start the gen manually again.

Mind you, this is not the first time i the battery has quit on me. I just purchase another to replace it. But this cannot go on. The generator should be recharging the battery using the same technique a car uses...only with a smaller alternator. Its a big gen for crying out loud.

Is it actually possible to charge these batteries.
If yes, what is the right way to do it and how long will the charging time last?

I beg to differ, Glo was not forced to manage with Band 28. They outrightly choose that. MTN, Airtel, Etisalat etc chose the common bands.
Thus if 9mobile was financially buoyant, Glo will be on Band 28 till thy kingdom come. So to be on the safe side, you just jejely buy a Blackberry running BB10 or an iPhone because all their models supports it regardless. Unlike getting a Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony, Infinix etc, slotting whatever SIM and using the ish...and also getting the right speeds to boot.

Lets call a spade a spade and not be clouded by the adverts that are often basically laced with incomplete infos or T&Cs.

Check any forum discussing about Etisalat speeds, it will be difficult to find a user with less than 300KBps on 3G. But, check for Glo and you would encounter numerous Blogs with tips on how to make Glo fast on common 3G...change APN to gloflat or glosecure or gloworld or or or...na so pesin go dey change.
Also remember that Etisalat works with ANY APN. Heck, you can put Nairaland and the ish would connect sharpally. But with Glo, you have different APNs making troubleshooting a network connection troublesome. Whatever happened to "send STOP DATA" to XXXX to browse using data plan ONLY?!
