Politics › Re: Facts: The Inscription On Naira Note Is Not Arabic Language by Xisnin(m): 11:52am On Jan 13, 2020 |
It is Arabic. It is the script that makes writing, not the actual meaning. In the Nigerian context, every form of Arabic has an Islamic identity.
If you don't believe me. Write some gibberish in the Arabic language, go to a market and tear that script. At best, you will survive the mobbing without your eyes and hands and at worst, you will send to the beyond. No one will care about the meaning because they all believe that Arabic is Islamic.
I see that most defenders of this injustice are avoiding that of the army logo "Nasruminallah" because the script and the word are both Arabic adopted from the caliphate. |

pocohantas: 98.1251% of people that have commented and would comment, do not understand the news.
Neither do they know what is a Garnishee order absolute.
In simple terms- Garnishee order arises when a court instructs a third party (the bank) to pay a creditor a certain sum on behalf of the debtor. In this case, CBN is to pay a team of lawyers on behalf of FG (debtor).
GTB has a similar case with Innoson.
Failure to do so will attract consequences.
What I don't understand is why Emefiele would go to jail. What happened to entity concept?
Emefiele is different from CBN. It is just like Segun Agbaje going to jail for failure to pay Innoson a sum.
Abi, somebody epp me out. Emefiele may end up in jail for contempt of court. I haven't seen the court's earlier judgment but if Emefiele is a respondent along with the CBN, then he is guilty of contempt. Given that CBN is the highest bank in the land, the only way to make it comply is by committing its principal to prison until the court orders are followed, |

chukel: Anybody who read the story would know the girl is a big liar. The story doesnt add up. The guy soaked her clothes in water and snapped her nude and even recorded a video. Lies. Did he force the clothes off her body? She just came to his house, quietly watched him remove her clothes including pant if she wore any, then soaked them. Note she visited him. She also claimed she gave him 18k to buy a phone for her. Why would anyone give a cobbler money to buy phone. Is he a phone seller? How will a graduate give a cobbler money to buy phone for her. This is love affair gone wrong and she decided to frame him up. everything was consensual Derrinclay: Hahahah good detective work Starboyyy: my brother you make sense.... I didn't even see it this way you just painted.....Mehn,some people sabi think ooo kelvinunilag: Gbammm exactly my point, why give a cobbler money to buy a phone if the two of them are not involved romantically, I believed the guy promise to buy her a phone of which he wanted to have a bit of her before doing so, and maybe he was also giving her lamba, she knew and she turned the whole story, I know ladies very well, when they cry you will believe anything they say, it only takes a strong man like me to be able to decipher them...... You guys make no sense and are just afraid of your own shadows. You ignored all the rapist statements and focused on speculations. Did the girl claim he was a stranger? No. The man clearly stated that she ditched him after graduating meaning that they were romantically involved. Meaning that he felt slighted and needed revenge. Did he deny collecting money for the phone? No. This is not the first time that a person will help another buy a phone. That he was a cobbler doesn't make him an illiterate and graduate these days hardly sharper than high school kids. I never knew that boyfriends now help their girlfriends soak the only cloth they wore to visit them. If such happens, it can only be for a sinister motive. Unfortunately, rapist defenders didn't look at that angle. Warning. Don't try this at home. Nobody save for blockhead or fellow rapists will believe your concoctions. |

RealMrNigerD: Oga you're the baby analyst. I already mentioned in the article that its not the first protest but if you cant see that Trump Iran policy is inciting these recent waves of protest especially since last year, then youve been shortchanged of your independent cognitive abilities by the leftist media. When a world power like U.S. gives a supportive disposition to your cause, you get emboldened to protest against oppression and tyranny. If you don't know, ask Israel which is highly marginalised by UN policies, Venezuela, Hong-Kong, even Sowore. Secondly, the decisive crippling of the Iranian economy by Trump will put the masses under pressure to reevaluate the cause of the Iranian government and this could lead to civil instability as in unfolding protests. So think again. The bold shows that you are a baby analyst. Everywhere Trump has lent its voice nothing has changed there. In fact, it is a bad omen for Trump to support a cause in a foreign country. He is impulsive and can never follow any policy through save for domestic ones that get his base riled up. But he is talking tough you say. That is irrelevant, talking tough didn't put Americans on the moon neither did talking tough win the cold war. Blowing hot hair only works for feeble-minded people who already support Trump to begin with. |

The woman was the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the great Afe Babalola University and she performed creditably well for the period of 5yrs of her tenure. Her sacking at OOU was malicious. She is the best person for the position of commissioner of education in ogun state If you understand the Nigerian educational sector, you will know that it is very hard to dismiss an ordinary lecturer let alone a professor unless they were caught red-handed in a sacrilegious act. That is why many randy and corrupt lecturers couldn't be expelled. The professor should be sacked and replaced. Armed robbers were once good people but we judge them by their latest acts, not their previous life. |

festacman: In the absence of any other documentary evidence, why is EFCC not using phone communication records between the accuser and the accused to resolve this issue. In this digital age, there is no way any transaction would have taken place without some phone discussions taking place around the period of the transaction.
EFCC should wrap this case up fast as its handling is looking amateurish already. There are 2 possibilities here. EFCC has lost the case before it begins but just want to teach Sanni a lesson by unnecessarily detaining him for the 2 weeks order granted by the court. Or the phone records are inconclusive. If it is the former, I expect Sanni to sue EFCC after getting out. |

drakeli: Trust me, threatening to kill online is a crime in the US. Many people are in jail for threatening on social media to kill their girlfriend, friends, or shoot up school. I see such people arrested every time. A black girl was arrested just less than a week ago for threatening online. So I don’t see how this guy will walk free threatening president when people that did the same thing to ordinary Americans are in jail
Most mass shooters first issue threat on social media. Now the police won’t wait until you carry out the threat before you are thrown into jail Could you tell us what charges those arrested people were convicted of? Or are they just under investigation? Please note that there is a difference between arrest, detention and conviction. Many people seem to muddle them up. There are limitations to free speech when "imminent" specific threat is involved. This guy claimed he was joking and I don't see any reason why he should not be believed. The US supreme court has ruled that there are "true threats" exception to free speech but it must be considered in context and intention. Thousands of direct threats are made against the US president every year. How many convictions? If this man ever got convicted of threatening speech, it won't be because of the speech but because he is too poor to defend himself. I hope the ACLU have an interest in the case. |

KANU never went into his Biafra struggle legally and no idiot dares try that in the US.. Everything the fugitive did in Nigeria would be legal in the US. Calling for the overthrow of the US government is entirely legal. The only thing that could have gotten him into trouble is if he was found with illegal weapons and a solid plan to carry out his threats. You are using your Nigerian mindset on the US.
