Khaleell001: This is why folks who come here on Nairaland and support this kind of hogwash are the problem we have in this country. Instead of you to find out why Islām was mentioned the times it was mentioned in the constitution you decided to bring you side ways reasoning without finding out why and how it was mentioned and some fools here are saying you are making sense. I wonder the kind of education you guys went through. It's such a shame that people can't even reason anymore. It doesn't matter why it was mentioned. A federal constitution is for a country not some groups with a vested interest of dominating others. All mention of Sharia must be expunged from the Nigerian constitution. |
Politics › Re: Call To Remove Islam From The Nigerian Constitution by Xisnin(m): 10:40am On Jan 05, 2020 |
tartar9: Shariah and whatsoever you're complaining about existed way before any 1999 constitution. It wouldn't have been possible writing the constitution without addressing such issues. Moreover, their mentioning in that constitution actually limits it's powers and yet you're complaining. It should never have been mentioned and would have been illegal outside of voluntary participation. It only makes sense to mention Sharia in a state's law and not in the constitution of the Federal republic. |

Afamed: Not only Islamic law, you will also need to remove the English law from our Constitution to balance the equition. Pathetic children Nigeria was a British protectorate and not an Arewa suzerainty. In fact, the Arewa forces were destroyed by the British in order to take over. You cannot have more rights than other conquered groups in the country. That 1999 constitution must be torn and rewritten to remove any mention of Sharia. If you so much love Sharia, fight for full restructuring so your state can implement 100% sharia |

Also call for removal of Christian indoctrination in Nigeria calendar and the removal of all Christian tradition from Nigerian public and civil service. It is funny coming from a fanatic who sees no problem with having Sharia in a secular constitution. Rather than ranting on the internet about phantom indoctrination, tell your state governor to adopt full Sharia. At least, you would be sent to the kitchen and the other room where you are supposed to be according to Islam. |

BUT IF YOU BAN A CHRISTIAN FROM PREACHING OR PRAYING PUBLICLY, OR YOU BAN CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS BOOKS OR ITEMS YOU'LL FIND THEM WAILING ABOUT THE ATTACK ON CHRIST AND HOW THE GATES OF HELL CANNOT PREVAIL, ALONG WITH OTHER NONSENSES THEY UTTER WHENEVER THEIR RELIGIOUS ACTIONS ARE QUESTIONED.
THE TRUTH IS, CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS.... YOU ARE ONE.
YOU ALL HAVE TO STOP FIGHTING EACH OTHER. YOU NEED TO EMBRACE EACH OTHER LIKE ONE LARGE CONGREGATION OF GULLIBLE DIRECTIONLESS HERD OF CATTLE THAT NEITHER KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING OR WHERE THEY'RE GOING. Stop using false equivalence. This is a case between a worker and her employer. Stop equating it with biased governmental restrictions on a certain religion. If she can't conform, she should get another job, same as any other religious freaks. An employer can impose any regulation they see fit at their place of work. |

Starhearts: Intelligence is not about going to school, knowing how to read and write, being a graduate, or even coming to social media to show you have the basis of education.
Intelligence is about reasoning, thinking, ideas. What can you reason or what idea can you give in other to make the society a better place.
Now, read your post and tell me if you are intelligent or an educated illiterate? Can you see how dumb you are from your thoughtless comment? I am quite suspicious of any foreign leader that average Nigerian bigots supports. He must be doing something wrong. Buhari isn't really a disaster by Nigerian standards, he just happens to be in the bad book of opposing camps. If he were to come from a different section/religious group in Nigeria, he would have different enemies and friends. |

Which insurance or private shipping company would want to take such risks passing through war zone? Besides, the news of crises in that region would raise oil prices astronomically. In case you don't know, Nigeria's daily oil capacity is less than 3m Nonsense. The Strait of Hormuz is not under the IRG. That is just propaganda. Let them try to close it indefinitely and see what happens. A new crisis will increase oil prices but not because of the reason you claimed. |

Don't be fooled by the author's name. There are two types of Jihadists, the hired ones, and the real extremist. The only difference between him and Boko haram is that the latter is using guns for the spread of Sharia.
The 1999 constitution has sharia reference because Nigerians were more interested in getting rid of the military in 1999 than fighting over religious points so as not to give the military another excuse to stay in power. |

Making money is not about hustling, if it was i'd be earning over three times what my wife earns. Luck, favour also plays a role. Maybe God just wants to show me who I married. Ask yourself the same question. Traditional marriage is all about control. That is where the "head" idea comes from. Your wife is likely on a revenge mission for what you did to her while in charge. Go and apologize or separate quickly for your own good. |

I don't believe this story because it sounds fake. Sanni and Magu are not on friendly terms so it makes no sense for Sanni to use Magu's name for scamming(assuming he does). Even if Sanni wanted to bribe Magu, he would have quickly refunded the victim's 5.2 million naira when the deal went bad to save face. A senator who collected a total of 1.4 billion Naira over 4 years doesn't need a $30,000 scam to survive.
This is likely a case mistaken identity or misrepresented deals.
How come the media are reporting without asking Sanni for his own side of the story? Waiting for more details. |

In a city where stereotypical profiling is the order of the day, why will anyone willingly assume false identities that jeopardizes their chances of living in peace knowing that profiling is the modus operandi of SARS? “In the same vein, we have also three lawyers to the three shariah courts at Kofar Kudu to prosecute shariah criminal cases.” The bold is the real target, the headline is a red herring. Ganduje is playing the 2023 game. He cannot afford to lose out and give power to his enemies camp have gone the religious route. His Sharia police would be firmly in his pocket by 2023 too, so that makes it a double punch for him. He knows that all his sins would be forgiven as long as he acts more fanatical about religion than his opponents. The positive side of this is that restructuring is becoming more mainstream. If Kano can severe itself from national policing and laws, so can other states demand revenue independence. |

midolian: This is a clear indication that his release has nothing to do with Buhari's fear for the whites.(Only a deluded mind would think this way)
Sowore must have been talked to like a child who needs counseling. He must have been told by the "Elders" that In exchange for his freedom, he must stop the revolution is now madness.
The last time he was released, he was caught on tape chanting 'revolution is now' to people in the court premises..but this time, he is as quiet as a church mouse enjoying his time with his family. Actually, you are the child here. An adult should know what a bail really means. Part of his bail condition was desisting from similar acts that he was arraigned for. He is merely observing his bail conditions until the case is settled. The vegetable in Aso Rock is the weakest president Nigeria ever has. You are right that Buhari does not fear the whites because he can't. Like a vegetable, he cannot fear, love or hate. He is just there. He can neither hear nor take a decision. When he told the US ambassador that his conscience is clear, he was right because he had no inputs in the first place. The DSS, AGF and Chief of Staff and other members of the cabal are the ones running the show. They got scared and agreed to release Sowore. Buhari is just a figurehead. |
