sreamsense:You must be extremely gullible to believe such lie. No experienced lawyer has ever not lost a case. |
Okay. |
Believeintruth: ![]() Do you think Nairaland is filled with kids? I dare any Ipob supporter, you included, to publicly make such legal move. We know how you roll. Even the ones who regularly donate to Ekpa boys to kill and destroy would also deny their membership when convenient. |
LordBiden:Nobody owe you an answer. Start a goat farm and feed them with free grass, then sell at half price of your greedy competitors. That is a quick way of becoming a multi-millionaire. It is funny, how it is people who knows nothing about animal husbandry that also knows exactly what the right price of a livestock should be. |
In exchange for what? Because this doesn't make sense for a regime whose survival depends on internet restriction. |
Blazetrailer:I knew you were too dull to know the difference. The Nigerian police and the NIA both works for Nigeria's interest but only a complete ret ard will be talking about NIA/Nigerian police in relation to foreign assets. I know a blockhead won't still get it, but I guess no harm in trying. |
Fighting evil via defamation against your bench opponent. That is so great! |
It seems this Islamist government wants to gain western acceptance by all means. Whether that would be a permanent policy is unknown yet. I guess Turkey must have been pressuring them secretly to moderate their actions. |
Blazetrailer:There is no difference between the two individual foreign agents. But I guess someone who cant tell CIA and FBI apart would never know. |
kingsways:If we dig deep now, we will find you are a staunch Ipob supporter who believes in "self-determination". But you will never accept another person's identity but the one you wish to force on them. Let me play your own game. You accepting or not changes nothing! What a deluded bunch! |
Goodmarlian:On one hand, you pretend not to care, on the other you insult those that should be left alone. You can only deceive yourself. Do you even know what DNA means in relation to historical neighbors? Genetically proven my foot! |
TheNiceGuy:You are right about the above. It is nobody's business what another decide to wear. But do you accept the above fully or you see your position as the default to be followed? Yes, that is exactly the problem with Sharia court. It always starts with "voluntary" court followed by religious police/hisbah and then the "voluntary" hijab, fasting etc becomes compulsory with severe social pressure and even criminal consequences brought against those that refuse to conform. Every religious rule is voluntary until it is institutionalized. And from multiple history, the court are the first step of institutionalization. |
TheNiceGuy:The 10 commandment are covenant/instruction to ancient jews, not Europeans. Nobody is stopping any christian from observing such rules. That said, any radical christian or group that try to institutionalize it will be resisted. You are free to observe 100% Shariah too. Islam and Shariah has everything to do with Arabs. A large percentage of the rules are something the Muhammed era arabs were already comfortable with. You cannot separate a religion from its source as the environment shape the development of every religion. |
Nonsense. All the people involved in this year's stampede have also being distributing gifts for years with no issues. Even the Covid-19 warehouse looting did not cause stampede because of fewer desperate people among the crowd. It is utter desperation and severe hunger that triggers this year's stampede. How do you explain how adults outnumber children 10 to 1 in an event exclusively organized for kids? |
JoeEeL:Those oil rich gulf countries are behind almost every extremist groups that springs up across Africa. The same people will never allow such groups operate within their own territory but are happy destabilizing other countries by taking advantage of underdevelopment. I don't blame these puppets though, in a country with serious poverty, it is quite easy to recruit willing tools by throwing few dollars and euros around. |
Ernchibyke:You must be in the top 1 percent wealthy to make such wish. |
These guys who often advise their opponents amaze me. Do they think the other are filled with idiots? There is extreme anti-immigrant fever running through the UK and any party which fails to tap in will be destroyed in the next election. There is no other strategy that can work. There is a reason Americans elected a convicted felon as president and a nobody won the Romanian cancelled election. It is not because either of them have any coherent strategy. They just attack anything the guy in power does even when it makes no sense. This works because majority of voters lack the intellect to evaluate "both sides". |
I supposed to save face. The gate was locked when the center capacity was reached. Instead of those who arrived later to go home, they broke the gate and swarmed inside. This is supposed to be an event for children, but adults with no kids came and hijack the event. |
khalling2008:Unlike Sharia bank and bond, the Shariah court is only voluntary for the time being. Same lie of "muslim-only" was touted for hisbah when being inaugurated. This Oyo shariah court will eventually be followed by "voluntary" hisbah at a convenient time in the future and it goes downhill from there. Also, these "courts" are foreign-sponsored subversive entities with dangerous plans for the future. Its promoters receive monthly allowance from special interest foreign entities and have to show progress in implementing their masters agenda. |
Conjectures |
Righthussle:So, what do you do with the one you steal from the gullible? |
DaddyJapan:Kperogi actually didn't say any "truth". It is mere conjecture. Even if he were to have evidence for his main assertions(he doesn't), it would amount to nothing more than inconsequential idle gossip. Like Kperogi, you seem to confuse tangential historical interactions as some sort of eternal destiny. Mongols once ruled China, but only an ignorant mongolian would think that gave him or her special rights to the Han Chinese identity today. That the Brits has "Germanic Roots" is irrelevant to the identify of the extant Brits. You guys inability to understand group evolution makes you stuck in pre-history. The English is English and the German is German regardless of which group came from/mixed with who. |
LocalFARMERS:You should sip posts that are too complex for you to understand. And if you must respond, don't give an impression of a confused individual. |
So, what if it is an exonym? Kperogi is becoming banally pedestrian in attempt to force an identity that doesn't exist. First, "Northern" is meaningless save for electioneering period or sharing national cake. Can anybody tell us the relationship between the Tiv in Benue and Fulani from Sokoto? Even though there is nothing wrong with an exonym as many people and cultures derive their names from neighbors. For example, 'Hausa' is a Songhai word, they were named by neighbors. There are hundreds of groups undisputedly named by their neighbor. There is this sickening often childish argument to portray an alleged namer as some sort of superior or presumed to have special rights over the named. That's pure nonsense. That some Hausas were residence in Oyo a millennial ago have no bearing to the current identity of the groups involved. Especially, when the minority groups are mostly plebs and have been totally assimilated. This is common occurrence in history of groups getting swallowed by another and only pseudo-scholars like Kperogi makes a big deal of it. Also, the purveyor of this naming theory should stick to one origin; is it Hausa, Fulani, Borgu, Mali or the political "Northern" who gave the name? And more importantly, of all the alleged namers, only one has a word somewhat close to "Yoruba" and it is nothing but a much later forced association of homonyms to rewrite history. |
OKOATA:You are incapable of reasoning. Developmentally stunted cret in like you shouldn't dabble into issues that requires rubbing brain cells together. We are talking about what the Nigerian law prescribe for armed robbers, the dullard is talking about the US. Why not move to the US? Never in your life should you mention me again. Go play in the gutter with your children in adult body. |
Better be careful. The return leg could be worse. |
slimfit1:What brought constitution into this matter? Stop throwing the word around when unnecessary. He was tried for armed robbery under a state law. No, the job of the judiciary is to interpret the law and not educate you, that is the job of your parents and schools. Any thief that doesn't know that armed robbery carries death sentence regardless of the amount stolen is to blame for their own plight. You see a person who steals 10 million Naira without weapons may be out of jail within 3 years while another who steals one thousand Naira using arms, gun, cutlass, knife etc will get death sentence. That is the position of the law. No emotion or sentiment can change it unless lawmakers decide to amend the relevant sections. The only problem in this case is the age of the suspect as he is 1 year younger to be tried in a conventional court. The judge was absolutely correct in his ruling. |
OKOATA:No, he was sentenced to death for armed robbery which is what the law says. There is no difference between an armed robber who stole a pencil and one who stole a bullion van, the law prescribes death for both. If you attempt to rob a house using arms and couldn't even steal a kobo, death penalty is still recommended by the law. If you want to rob without the risk of death sentence, make sure you don't go with any weapons. If na lawyer or judge you be and na like that you dey do omoh you go meet your waterloo. Nigga just speaking jargons. There is a reason the matter was thrown into social media filled with emotional ignoramus instead of arguing it out in court. The only saving grace for the boy is his alleged age at the time which should have been pointed out by his lawyer when the case first came up for hearing so it could be reassigned to a "children's" court. If he was just 1 year older at that time, the sentence will still stand unless he gets commuted by the governor. |
slimfit1:The judiciary did its job. It is confusing to you because you think the judiciary is supposed to be friend to the poor suspect or choose the side of the poorest man should it involve two parties, no. There is a reason the lady justice is blind. The job of the judiciary is to deliver judgement based on the law and the evidence presented to it. What many of you want is "common sense" which is only slightly different from jungle justice. You decide instantly who is guilty or innocent even though most lack the knowledge and intellect to do so and any other verdict is assumed to be aided by "corruption". Also, the job of the judge is not to educate the police by default unless they obviously violate due process which we don't know in this case. I use to fancy a girl like that the day I discovered that are mum was a judge in Nigeria I ran away she thought it was something of a class it is but Nigeria judges are the reasons why Nigeria is messed up I don't want curses to follow my children. You are confused just like many Nigerians. You want an just judiciary in a country where most people don't want one unless someone they know or like is affected. No smart person for such obvious hypocrisy. Nigeria is messed up because of Nigerians don't care or don't know that they should care about its state unless they are directly affected. You probably think you are different but it is very much likely that you have cheated the society to get ahead several times in the past. Of course, you have an excuse such as I don't have a choice, it is not my job etc but it is what it is. If you like marry a pastor, you cannot escape the consequence of living in a greed at all cost society. |
While the judiciary is being dragged for doing its job, the police who may have engaged in fowl play regarding evidence is largely silent. All I see here is a consequence of illiteracy/poverty. Since the suspect is a child, he shouldn't even have been arraigned at the high court to begin with. |
Bendeco02:When you are given free education don't resist. You are embarrassingly ignorant of geopolitics and history. |
Evil plan. I know some will claim they will only hear civil cases and only people who agree to the court's jurisdiction will be "judged" but this is a long-term game that have been used over and over gain for the past millienia. It always starts with voluntary and harmless courts, until it isn't. There will be enormous social pressure placed on "victims" to conform to the rulings until it becomes normal and then equated with Islam itself so anyone who opposes will be seen to be fighting Islam. By then, there would be people willing to kill to "protect" the system. |
