Glad to report that this advert has led to the recruitment of two wonderful teachers so far. Negotiation is on with the third. Thank you Nairaland. |
The pay is o-kay by Ado Ekiti standard. Please only applicants residing in Ado-Ekiti or its environs need apply. We've had people responding from Ilesa, Benin etc. We appreciate your interest, but our pay for now may not justify such a move. We are only being sincere and considerate. Our motto is "Excellence anchored on righteousness" |
Golden Dr.:Ok. Apologies accepted and I'm sorry too. But I'll appreciate that you go to my original post to correct the misconception there. Thank you |
Golden Dr, I've decided to use this medium to express my anger at what you wrote on my post where you described my advert fro Class teachers in Ado-Ekiti as a scam. I took time to go through your profile and saw that you are a recruitment agent. Is it because I did not come to you to help look for applicants that you did this? It's unfortunate for a lady like you not to make enquiries before labelling someone a fraud. For your information, I am not a scammer. The school name was boldly written in my post but I guess you were blinded by the desire to run other people down. May God forgive you. You may wish to check my previous posts. They will help you appreciate who I am. I am far from who you think I am. I am a school Administrator with over 30years teaching experience and I am currently managing CHRISTFIELD PRIVATE SCHOOL, ADO-EKITI. My phone number is on the said post. Thank you.

To interested candidates, this job offer is real. The school is located at Onala Street, Off Afao Road. For those in Ado Ekiti, turn in from opposite Federal Housing Estate. Go though Tinuola to Onala 'A' Phase 2. Ask anyone for CHRISTFIELD PRIVATE SCHOOL. Do not be misled by idle people like Golden Dr. You can see from his post that he cannot comprehend an advert as simple as this.

If you have sent your name and phone numbers, please exercise patience as we will soon get in touch with you. |

51 - 55. Am I the oldest? |
Many of Soyinka'a critics do not seem to know him. 1. Who was the man who stood against Akintola in Western region in 1965? Ans: Wole Soyinka 2. Who visited Biafra in the heat of the Nigerian Civil War? = Wole Soyinka (He got clamped into jail for this) 3. Who stood against the recklessness of the Gowon regime - wrote a book on this -"The Man Died" that was banned by the the Government? Ans. Wole Soyinka 4. Who spoke up against the financial recklessness of the Sagari regime? Ans = Wole Soyinka 5. Who spoke against the high-handedness of the Buhari/Idiagbon regime? - Wole Soyinka 6. Who spoke up against the ruthlessness of the Abacha regime? - Wole Soyinka Wole Soyinka has spent more years in detention under different regimes because he will not keep quiet while the masses of the country are being raped by any government. He has spoken up again and he is being vilified by people who will not pause to think. The truth is always bitter. I did not cast my vote for Patience Jonathan. I voted for her husband. She is not my president, Jonathan is. If patience have any contributions to running the country, she should give it to her husband in the confines of their home. There is nothing chauvinistic about this. Sane and decent people will be appalled at what this unelected woman is doing. She should be called to order by her husband. Of course we all know that the man does not have the strength. |
Patience is not the only 'first lady' guilty of this. In Ekiti State, the first lady takes precedence over the Deputy Governor in all things. This is surely a breach of protocol. The D.G is the No 2 citizen of the state and not the Governor's wife. All these things show how immature our leasers are. May God deliver us. |
Go ahead and use them. They are quite dependable. I used them twice. First to buy memory cards and then to buy an e-book reader. THey delivered promptly. I stopped using them because I found their charges a little more expensive than their competitors. I use a different outfit now. But if you do not mind the charges, circuitatlantic is very good. |
I need a bus for school runs. Can I get any for N500k? |
I studied Linguistics at Unibadan. I actually wanted to study law then, but a friend discouraged me. He told me lawyers join cults to be successful, so I backed off Law. But one of my lecturers in my A'L Use of English was so good at teaching the course that I walked up to him and asked what course he studied in the university. His reply? Linguistics. That was how I ended up studying the course. |
This post does not make any sense. No contacts - e-mail, phone etc. |
Yes, the land has an approved survey plan |
I've received several enquieries about the location of this land. For the benefit of all, it is located at Liadi, a village some 20minutes drive from Ikorodu as you drive towards Ijebu-Ode. There are two ways to access the land. First is via Maya while the second is via Adamo Village. Any interested buyers will meet with the two families to confirm that they have both been settled so no fear of any more problems from them. Feel free to call me to visit the site. My numbers are 08098750509, 08120948284. For the avoidance of doubts, let me state that I am not an agent, but the actual owner of the land. I currently reside in Ikorodu. |
Are you sure you are not giving out information to would be robbers here? Or why should nayone be concerned with the number of banks in various schools in Nigeria. Let's be security conscious! |
I am surprised at the level of ignorance and illiteracy being displayed on Nairaland these days. I fail to see how Governor Fashola is to blame for the fate of the driver in this story. Fashola did not arrest the man, the police did. Fashola did not order his prosecution, the police did this in accordance with the traffic laws of Lagos state. Fashola did not send the man to jail, a magistrate did. and there is no mention of the fact that the governor ordered the driver sent to jail. For all I know, the man committed multiple offences, one of which was that he had no driver's license. This alone is enough to warrant a punishment. But the driver made his case worse by pleading "not guilty" thereby prolonging his trial. His plea was what led to a bail being posted. He was sent to jail because he could not perfect his bail. So, in all these, where did the governor go wrong? For being on the road at the time the driver used his truck to block the road thereby inconveniencing all other road users, including the governor? Or because the governor was on the road on the day the driver chose to drive without being in possession of a driver's license? And someone made reference to the sacked doctors. Again, Fashola never sacked the doctors. He did not appoint them, Lagos State Hospital management Commission did. The doctors were issued queries by their employers, which they refused to reply to and their employers - Lagos State Hospital Management Commission terminated their appointment for utter disregard for constituted authority. And I dare say if any employee in my employ refuses to reply to a query, I would not hesitate to sack him. So in all this where did Fashola go wrong? Let us stop personalizing government and issues. we should not just take delight in slighting those in authority. They may be there today, it may be your turn or mine tomorrow. Whatever you plant, you will surely reap. I rest my case. |
Two years ago, I bought 7 plots of land from a family in Liadi Village Ikorodu, Lagos State for the purpose of building a school. Unfortunately, another family began to lay claim to the land, so the project was put on hold. Eventually, I got land in my state capital (Ado Ekiti) for the same project. I have now settled with the other family so I am covered from both sides. Since I no longer need the land for the project, I wish to dispose the 7 plots of land. I am willing to sell all 7 plots together or in bits. One of the plots already has an uncompleted borehole on it. We were working on the borehole before we were forced ro stop work then. Asking price is N300,000 per plot. Anyone interested should contact me: Mr. Solomon on 08098750509 |
For Sale - 2 plots of land in an already developed area of Ikorodu (Erunwe). Asking price is N4m per plot. Price is negotiable. I am helping a friend to put up this advert, So if you are interested, call him directly - Pastor Sunday - 08037127908, 08098022510 |

If the man claims to be a Yoruba man from Ogbomoso, then he must be. And before any one crucifies me, I must say I am Yoruba myself from Ekitiland. All the denials by the Yoruba group in Kano or Ogbomosho people is simply because no one ever claims to be a relation of a mad man. If the suspect had won an Olympic gold medal, the whole Yoruba race and Ogbomoso people would by now be claiming him as one of their own. Now I served in the North (1982-83) precisely in Gumel which was then in Kano State. My first day in Gumel, I went to town to find something to eat and lo and behold, I saw a woman at the motor park selling 'amala'. It turned out she hailed from Ogbomoso but had lived in Gumel for decades. Save for the food she was selling (amala), you cannot recognize her as Yoruba. Then the next day I discovered that some of the ladies in my class (I taught at the Gumel Advanced Teachers' College) were Yorubas whose parents had stayed so many years in Kano they themselves were born in Kano and could not even understand not to talk of speaking Yoruba. In fact but for the fact that they told me themselves, I thought they were Hausas. They spoke Hausa, dressed like Hausas and were moslems. And again they were from Ogbomoso. I have a friend in the Federal Civil service whose parents had lived so long in the Nortn that he claimed Plateau State as his state of origin because his Yoruba family name sounds like a middle Belt name. Of course he speaks Hausa fluently. Same goes for his wife. And again they are from Ogbomoso. The truth is there are so many Ogbomoso indigenes in Northern Nigeria who have stayed there long enough to blend with the local population. and because Ogbomoso people are predominantly moslems and butchers, they fit into the Northern society. And taking about names, most Southern moslems are dropping their family names for strictly moslem names. Names like Bello, Ibrahim, Suleiman are very common as surnames now. As to non-attendance at Yoruba functions in Kano, that does not exclude him from being Yoruba. If his intentions all along was to blend with the Northern people, why does he have to associate with the Yorubas. I said earlier that I am an Ekiti man living in Lagos. I cannot remember attending any Ekiti forum in Lagos in the past 12 years! And certainly not any of my children. Imagine if on the basis of that someone now claims that I am not from Ekiti. Remember that when the dog finds its head immersed in shit, it remembers the house of its owner. The suspect is not a small boy who would not know under interrogation what his real roots are. He is for Ogbomoso in Yorubaland. Having said that, I wish to say that it is unfortunate that an issue as serious as terrorism is being tribalised. which is one of the reasons why we may never win this war. Rather than have a common front against these evil men and women, we are allowing our ethnic colouration to blind us. We have never stopped to consider that the death that these terrorists unleash on innocent people does not kill on the basis of tribe, or religious leaning. Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas have been violently killed. And many more will still be if we do not put ethnicity behind us and form a common front to confront these evil in our land headlong. I rest my case. |
I've had to fire many staff in my 20 years experience as an administrator. I don't enjoy doing it but I've discovered in most cases that such staff deserve to be fired. I cannot cope with indolent and late-coming staff. |
my destiny: @ Xtfield. There is nothing wrong in being crazy about the truth. I guess you expected me to go along with the sycophantic and opportunistic crowd. I beg to differ. Once again, footballers or music stars are not in any way more important than the ordinary Nigerian. They do not play for Nigeria for free. You will in fact be surprised at the extent some of them will go to wear the green white green shirt of Nigeria - visiting fake prophets, juju men and marabouts including several rituals. And yet they behave as if they are doing us a favour by playing for Nigeria. Let players invest their earnings wisely and stop buying toys which diminish in value after their death. Let current players know that they must change their lifestyle so that in death, their family members will not have to look up to government for assistance |
