I think she's right you do not like her. To hate a job is not the same as being bored with the job. The best advice is for her to quit the job. It is not compulsory she should have a job. She can start something small on her own and this will give her more satisfaction. So if there is anything she can do without working for someone else, better if she quits her present job. Sometimes our jobs enslave us and prevent us from being the best that we ought to be. The only mistake she is making now probably is seeking advice on a strictly personal issue. I bet 99 out of 100 Nigerians will advise her to stick to the job she hates simply because it is difficult to get another job. But as I said earlier, who says she must go into another job?

There is nothing to discuss here. Marriage is not contracted on the basis of educational attainment. I believe the poster is just playing the devil's advocate - just wanted to create a topic for discussion. Now that his desirre has been met I suggest we let him be. I made a 2:1 in my final degree exams, but I honestly do not believe I'm smarter than some of my colleagues who made even ordinary pass. I also know a lady who graduated 3rd class three years ago, finished national service two years ago and today is an employer of labour where her colleagues with 2:1 are still jobless. To answer your question, yes, yes and yes. I will marry any lady irrespective of her educational attainment.

Take an elder's advice and leave all these young red heads out if your life. Remember the story of Rehoboam in the Bible.

Take advice from a man who has been through this situation before. When in 1983, I wanted to marry my wife, parents on both sides objected but we simply were not bothered. We knew what we wanted and we went for it.  First I got my fiancee pregnant making the case a fait accompli. We got married in May 1984 and we have been together for 27 years. If you truly love this guy and he truly loves you, go ahead and get married. Both parents will have no option. Maybe your parents are rich and you do not wish to lose the inheritance that will accrue to you at their death. If that be it, then, it means you love wealth more than the guy and same goes for your guy. Experience has taught that when marriages are contracted under this condition, it is able to weather all storms knowing fully well that so many people are waiting g on the sidelines to say, "We told you".
