sleekd: abeg give us the above details... and especially how much the shipping cost to reach Nigeria, thanks
Sorry for replying late. I was at a Church programme. It is refurbished. Refurbished are better than preowned because it has been restored to nearly its original state. Except for if I tell anyone its not new, people do't know. And the landing cost is N42000. The configuration is high: 320GB, 3Gb RAm Dual Core, 16" screen plus its HP.

What I did was to pay 70% of the cost into OandOgadgets account at First Bank and when it arrived, I paid the balance. As I stay outside Lagos, I paid N3k to get it sent to me which to me is a fair price because it will cost about that amount to come to pick it up personally in Lagos plus all the risk and stress. N1000 delivery within Lagos is not too bad either. If you choose to go to their office, you may end up spending more than that.

But they are very reliable and fast. I placed the order on 30th October and received my laptop on 14th November.

Hope I've covered all questions. Shallom

OandO gadgets are a procurement outfit based in Lagos. They help to buy from UK and USA. They are very cheap and reliable. I've used them in previous years, but my last was the first I was using them after I saw this thread. To use their service, just search for whatever you want to buy on any UK or US site and send the link to them via e-mail. They will give you a bill covering purchase cost and shipping to Lagos. Once you pay 70% of this, they will buy and ship down to Nigeria. If you l;ive outside lagos like I do, they'll use a courier firm to get your items across to you. Sometimes, they even advise on other sites where you can get the same item at a cheaper price. They were the one who told me about cowboom.

Hello Fellow importers, I stumbled on this thread a few weeks back. I have patiently gone through Season 1 and 137 pages of season 2. Kudos to all who started this thread and delivered us from e-book sellers. Today I took delivery of 2 items I ordered from Amazon.com and cowboom.com. I bought a microscope from Amazon and an HP laptop from cowboom. You need to see how my colleagues' eyes almost popped out when the goods were delivered to my place of work. I immediately got an offer for the microscope which will net me 150% profit! The laptop is for personal use. Its so beautiful. Lest I forget, I used OandO gadgets to ship the items in. The goods were delivered promptly. Will post pix later.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Graduate Class Teacher Urgently Required by Xtfield(op): 5:49pm On Nov 01, 2013
We are a new school, in our second year. But we've made tremendous progress imparting knowledge to our pupils. Our current pay is not really to exciting to those who make the pay the number one consideration. But there is great hope for better pay in the nearest future. For instance those who started with us last session got 50% pay rise at the beginning of this session. Anyone really interested should call the Administrator on 08109919966. It is for this reason that we desire only applicants currently residing in and around Ado-EKiti.

Two months ago we advertised for teachers on this same forum and section. We were able to secure the services of two very wonderful ladies who are equally enjoying working with us here. Now we need another graduate to replace one of our teachers who just relocated to Lagos. Call 08109919966. If you leave outside Ado-Ekiti, we can assist with accommodation arrangements.

CrimeRe: Businessman Murdered In Lagos For Refusing To 'Settle' Area Boys by Xtfield(m): 9:14pm On Oct 16, 2013
Was this man murdered by the area boys? No. Who killed him then? The wife. That man would have been alive if he and not the wife was in control of the situation. I wonder what the woman was thinking asking the husband not to settle the area boys. What is the difference between area boys and armed robbers? Imagine armed robbers storming a man's house and asking for money and then the wife says do not give. Every man should learn a lesson from this. Know that there are times when it is unsafe for you to listen to your wife. This man should have just parted with 2 - 5000 naira and he would have been alive to make millions from his tyre business. Now he's dead courtesy the wife's audacious stubbornness and the woman is shedding crocodile tears not about the man but about the stress of raising the children. Should she have given that a thought earlier. I bet you, in a few years time, that woman would remarry and carry on with life with the husband forgotten. As for me, when my wife says don't pay in a situation like this, I call the other party aside and tell them 'see me later when madam trouble seeker is not around'. And when I settle them, I tell them, don't let madam hear o so I can have peace at home. And if madam asks me if I settled them, I will say, 'Me? lailaii!' and then turn to God to ask for forgiveness for lying. Nay God save us from women who think they can argue and do things better than their husbands. Amen

semid4lyfe: Isn't the solution to this as easy as loading the N250 so your account can be cleared and you're debt free undecided
The Nigerian method of always looking for a quick fix to any problem. Why pay a debt that you did not incur? What if next month he gets another message claiming he is indebted to the tune of N5000? He should pay again.

@OP, send a complaint to NCC - the regulatory body for the communication sector. Google NCC Nigeria to get their web address and e-mail. I assure you that you will get instant redress. I used them once against MTN and you need to see how many calls I got from MTN within 24 hours.

This guy does not look to me like a very intelligent fellow. I do not encourage crime but if a man chooses the way of crime, shouldn't he commit a very profitable one. Why did he not break into the CBN website? What is there in all these websites that he hacked into? Just shows that criminals have no brains at all.
Science/TechnologyRe: Doctors Grow Nose On Man’s Forehead by Xtfield(m): 9:10am On Sep 27, 2013
If this man's accident had been in Nigeria, witches and wizards would have been blamed and many pastors would have fed fat on his misfortune. But in China, it was treated as a purely medical problem and doctors found solutions to it. The lesson for us is that there are a few things that we cannot fix ourselves, but in Nigeria we chose to push everything to God to do for us. May God deliver us.
EducationRe: Rivers Police Stop Teachers From Collecting Posting Letters by Xtfield(m): 9:52pm On Sep 26, 2013
I think we are being unduly critical of Governor Amaechi here. Most states in Nigeria are yet to embrace the use of the internet for easy administration. In my state, the government advertised a teachers' recruitment exercise. Ten thousand applicants were made to report at the Teaching service commission to obtain application form as after parting with N1000 each. You needed to see the venue on that day. I had gone there to obtain the form for my cousin who was not in town then. When I got to the venue, I simply turned back. The young man traveled all the way to Lagos to obtain the form. It took him three days to be able to accomplish this task! Shortly after the same government advertised recruitment into the civil service. Again all applicants had to travel to the state capital to obtain the form. As in the previous case, thousands came out and the entire area became a war front of shoving and pushing. Yet at the end of the day, months after, no single person has been employed! I think Amaechi's case is better. At least these ones were to collect appointment letters. Now that the Police has stopped the exercise, l;let's see if they will be absorbed into the Nigeria Police Force.

This post is not only mischievous, but biased. The poster should have told us the full story. What did the young man do to earn this punishment? Besides, when adults behave like children, they must be ready for the punishment meant for children!
