Popular Actor, Kunle Afolayan seems to be a hard nut to crack unlike most other movie directors in Nigeria who have at one time or another fallen for the antics of starlets eager to sleep with anybody in exchange for movie roles.

The actor in an interview with Ademola Olonilua boasted that no Nollywood actress would dare to dangle her body at him in return for a chance to appear in his movies.

He said:

“Personally I have never encountered a situation whereby an actress would offer me sex for a movie role. They would not even dare come to me. They say that I am proud.

“The social media may have some advantages, but it also has a lot of disadvantages. It is only in the past that people would say that a director asked an actress for sex in exchange for a movie role. These days, some actresses would reach out to the movie director or producer and tell him that they would do anything just to be in the film.

“Hardly would they say such to me. Such a thing does not come to me and if it ever happens, I will just wave it aside. I will not respond.”

The movie maker said that, aside from acting, he was passionate about music. Well endowed and controversial nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing opened up to Punch and revealed how her curvaceous body have drawn the attention of men rather than the talent she has got.

“Whenever I am passing by, a lot of people shout, especially because I am endowed. I understand because it is a part of my personality. It happens daily and it is a normal thing. I have a very beautiful bum and I cannot feel embarrassed about it. I cannot feel embarrassed about what God gave to me.

“I know that I’m talented and people tend to see my natural endowment but it is okay because it is very obvious. You cannot hide God’s glory and blessing.

“He gave me this endowment so you have to see it first before you see the other sides of me. It is very obvious that I’m a curvaceous lady. I have always been comfortable with my body.

“While I was growing up, I was skinny but I had big buttocks. I got bigger and everything was in the right proportion. I cannot complain because God gave me a perfect body. He gave me the perfect fat legs to carry the big buttocks,” she said.

She also disclosed that she has been acting for more than a decade, unknown to many.

“A lot of people think I am new to the movie industry but the truth is that I have been in this movie-making business for about a decade. If you notice that I am in a lot of movies recently, it does not mean that I just came from nowhere to dominate the movie industry, I have been working for over 10 years and I worked hard to be where I am today.

“I would say that the social media helped a lot in making me popular, especially Instagram because I talk a lot. Veteran Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey , says he is considering running for an elective post in the future.

In an interview with ‘Rubbin Minds’, a Channels TV programme anchored by Ebuka Obi Uchendu, the ‘Galala’ singer said that his city Ajegunle is very important to him and that the government only remembers them when it is time for campaign.

Speaking with Ebuka, he said: “One day…yes now in my house. I’m not doing it because of the intention that I want to run for politics but right now with the situation that I am seeing in my neighborhood… because Ajegunle is the most important place for me, maybe I might consider.

He said the only thing that could reduce crime in Ajegunle was for the government to create environment that will get the children engaged.

“When it comes to development they neglect us. That’s why I’m critical about what is going on in Lagos State today,” he said.

“I am watching; we are looking at you people… because there is something I have been fighting for so many years from Tinubu’s government to Fashola’s government to the present government, and for all of them about this thing the only thing that can limit crime from my neighbourhood is to get these children engaged and the only thing that can limit crime is when they have a playground, a recreation centre — and they don’t.”

Nigerian female artiste and Mavin Diva, Tiwa Savage has fetched her footprint on the sands of times by becoming the first African female artiste to headline a show at the prestigious Indigo at the O2 Arena in London, UK, selling out the 3,000 capacity hall on Friday the 24th of August, 2018.

The concert, which is the official kickoff of her tour which has been tagged “The Savage Tour” is the singer’s first concert in the UK, sold out hours before the show and as promised, she gave her excited fans more than a show.

The final and last batch of the medical students of osun state university sponsored by the osun state government to study medicine in Karazin University Ukraine, are back.

In 2013 the government of Osun state solely sponsored 92 students of Osun state university who couldn’t continue their education due to some lapses in the school.

Over half a billion naira (school fees and accommodation) was used to sponsor these students and now they are finally back.

The overall medical student in Ukraine 2016, 2017 and 2018 where all from Osun state university.

Parents, well wishers and friends were all Present at the government house in osun state to celebrate the successful arrival of these wonderful students.

The Bayelsa State Vigilante Service has arrested two men who specialise in burglary, cultism, armed robbery, and other notorious crimes in various parts of the state.

Evangelist Ogede, who announced the arrest of the suspects before newsmen in Yenagoa, charged members of the public to always give useful information that could lead to the apprehension of criminal elements across the state.

The two suspects, according to the State
Vigilante Chief was arrested in connection with breaking and looting of shops along Gwegwe, Areitalin, Obele and other parts of the state capital with dangerous weapons.

But luck, however ran out of the duo when they were caught gaining entrance to their victim’s shop, one Madam Elvorah and looted everything; including pieces of sachet water, popularly called ‘Pure Water’ Peppe, Maggi and other valuable items.

Evangelist Ogede, who expressed optimism, that with the incriminating evidence at his disposal, the two suspects will be successfully prosecuted and jailed, enjoined Bayelsans not to indulge in acts inimical to the society.

The suspects are since cooling off with the Police authorities for more investigation and prosecution.

The owner of a Nigerian record label has blown hot, accusing pop star, Davido of Cheating him by signing his artiste, Peruzzi.

Patrick Anyaene, the owner of Golden Boy Entertainment, has alleged that singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, has treated him unfairly following the signing of his former artiste, Peruzzi, to Davido Music Worldwide.

The feud started on Instagram during the week when Anyaene wrote that Davido wouldn’t have had hit songs since November last year but for him.

Speaking with Sunday Scoop, Anyaene said that he had issues with Perruzi particularly, not David.

He stated, “I don’t have problems with Davido; I have issues with Perruzi, my artiste. All the songs Davido released since last year November are my records. They are my records because those songs were written by my artiste. Songs like Fia, Ada, Mind by DMW, Aje by DMW and other songs they might be working on now are all the property of Golden Boy Entertainment.”

He explained that when he found out that Peruzzi gave songs to Davido, he felt bad about it. But, according to him, after having a one-on-one discussion with Davido, they agreed on how he would be settled or rewarded.

“Peruzzi has been going for shows and getting paid; I have been patient with them since November. I am unhappy because I have not been settled. As a businessman, when you invest money in an individual, you expect a return.

“Davido has given Peruzzi some guts to do whatever he likes; he has forgotten that he signed a contract with me and I have lawyers on the case.

“Perruzi started working with me in 2016 and I was paying him salary. I officially signed him in 2017 for a three-year contract. He has breached a contract and he is an ingrate,” he lamented.

The CEO insisted that he knew what actions to take but he didn’t want to appear like an enemy of progress and he wanted the best for Peruzzi.

He added, “I want everyone to shine, but if you disrespect me, I have the power to bring you down. We agreed I would get royalties from all the songs written by Peruzzi and get paid periodically. It was a verbal agreement; for us to meet and put everything into a paper agreement, they are pretending to be busy.

“I am just being tactical about the whole issue; they have cheated me. Though I am aware that Davido always gets away with things, I know how to deal with them. I plan to settle things without attracting any drama, but if Davido wants to take me for granted, I will expose them. For all the songs they have released, I have original copies and I can drop them if I desire to. I also have screenshots of my conversation with Davido that can implicate him.”

It was a story of one good turn deserves another when the class’17 students of Management and Accounting honoured one of their lecturers Dr. M.O Oladejo (popularly called “BABO”) for being an outstanding lecturer.

The honour came as a surprise to the lecturer as he was taking the 300 level students of the same department a class when the students came in to present him the award.

Speaking with a student of the department, Yussuf Hammed,he said the honour was given to him as a result of his outstanding performance as a lecturer not only in the department but the faculty as a whole.

The lecturer upon reviving the award thanked the students and said a brief prayer for them before he continued with the class he was taking

Only weeks ago,this same sets of students presented an award to another lecturer in the department,Dr Onaolapo for his promotion to a Professor.

The lecturer, Dr Oladejo better known as comrade by other member of staff is always jovial in class and diligent in his duty. He rarely misses his classes and is always ready to give parental advice to students.

Residents of Ijegun in Lagos, expressed their shock over what they described as attempted suicide by a well-to-do young man who reportedly used a sharp object to slit his throat in his friend’s house over frustration. The incident happened at Bola Akinlere Street by Papa Major bus stop off Ijegun Road, ijegun, Lagos.

The 30-year old Olumide Akinlere, was said to have attempted suicide but was rescued by the friend’s mother who was around. She raised alarm and Olumide was prevented from killing himself but by then he had already inflicted injury on himself.

He was then rushed to a hospital and was later transferred to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, in Ikeja area of Lagos. His case was said to be critical as he could not talk having already cut off part of his throat before rescue came his way.

It was gathered that what baffled the residents about the incident was that Olumide’s father had many properties in choice areas which he had handed over to him being the first child of the family after the father fell sick and got paralysed.

On his part, Olumide was said to have flourishing businesses and had not been known to have complained of any financial challenges among his friends in the area.

On the day the incident happened, Olumide was said to have visited his friend who lived close to his house but he did not meet him at home. While there, he was said to have used the sharp object and slit his throat. He shouted in pains and it attracted the mother of his friend.

He was rescued and rushed to the hospital in the pool of his blood. The matter was reported to the police at Isheri Oshun Division.

As at the time of filing this report, Olumide was still at LASUTH and the police were working to know the cause of his action.

It was gathered that the victim was unable to speak but had written a sort of suicide note. He said that it was depression and frustration that led to his action.
