You have to like this guy.

As a southern Christian who has watched the damage that entitled Northern muslims have done to this country I am almost ashamed to express my admiration of this guy Abba Kyari. I can only pray that he lives long to carry out the divine will of God in his life. Ribadu tried to do the same but the forces of evil and corruption overwhelmed him. Fortunately armed robbers and kidnappers have no real friends in high places, they are a threat to all which is why Kyari might succeed.

Meanwhile the other Abba Kyari kinsman to Buhari is busy shietting all over Aso rock with his biased appointments, trying to divide us and undermine the good work this police officer is doing

The people arrested all look like Christian gun runners I hope Abba Kyari would be just as enthusiastic in bringing in those supplying arms to the murderous herdsmen perpetrating ethnic cleansing all over the middle belt

PoliticsShiite Faction Declares Loyalty To Buhari Despite El-zakzaky Travails by yazach(op): 3:07pm On May 08, 2018
A Shiite faction, Rasulul A’azam Foundation, RAAF, on Saturday, declared loyalty to the Nigerian government, against the Ibrahim Al-Zakzaky-led Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, which they claimed is fighting the government.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that on January 13, the detained leader of IMN, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, made his first public appearance more than two years after he was detained by the Nigerian government.

But Sale Zaria, the RAAF Secretary General, stated at a press conference at the conclusion of this year’s annual birthday celebration of Imam El-Mahdi, held at Ungoggo Local Government Area of Kano State, that they differ with Mr El-Zakzaky.

According to him, the RAAF believes in peaceful, economically viable, independent, sovereign and united Nigeria.

Mr Zaria, therefore, called on Muslims and Nigerians at large to desist from any action capable of causing tribal or religious division.

The cleric called on adherents of various religions in the country to avoid all sorts of extremism and live peacefully with one another, as taught by Apostles of God.

Mr Zaria also emphasised the need for identification of the 9 factions within the fold of Shi’ah, stressing that each faction has its own name and tenets.

“People should know that there are 9 factions within the Shi’ah sect. Each sect has its own tenets. For instance, we are not part of Al-Zakzaki movement.

“We differ in several fronts. He runs a movement which is fighting with the government.

“Our faction goes contrary. We believe in government and respect constituted authorities. We believe in unity and supremacy of the constitution.

“We are registered, as we attained our registration in 2005. We participate in politics and ready to contribute our quota in nation-building.

“We believe in security apparatus that is why whenever we have a function, we have to notify security agencies.

“Therefore, we call on religious and tribal groups to desist from any action that could cause violence in this country.

“These crises are a time bomb, so we should do everything possible to prevent the bomb from exploding,” he said.

He, however, while disclosing his support for Nigerian government in its agricultural commitment and job creation among teeming youth, lauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war.

Politics2019: Only God Can Say Who Wins Election ―buhari by yazach(op): 8:45am On May 07, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari has called for patience, maturity and orderliness as the nation heads into the 2019 elections, saying that from his own experience, he could tell that it is only God who determines winners of elections.

Speaking at the All Progressives Party’s (APC) Ward Congress held at Bayagida Model Primary School, Daura, Katsina state on Saturday, he, therefore, urged political parties, candidates and the electorate to put the country first and always remember that victory ultimately belongs to God.

He said: “After going to the court so many times to challenge results of elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011, and going up to the Supreme Court, I concluded that ultimately it is God who determines who will win elections, and in 2015 I got here.”

The president said he was not seeking re-election for frivolity or personal ambition but to serve the people, and see their lives improved.

According to him, his decision to seek a second term in office was therefore borne out of a deep passion to serve Nigerians, and not for personal gains.

President Buhari said the passion to serve and see real changes in the lives of Nigerians informed his choice to join partisan politics in the first place and inspired him to contest elections in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

Buhari noted that his administration had already started the process of ensuring fairness, justice and equity, in spite of challenges, and would work hard to consolidate on the gains.

He added: “I am not in politics for fun, frivolity or to amass wealth, I have always been driven by a deep sense of commitment to make a difference to the lives of our people.

“After my retirement from the army, or forceful retirement, I sat back and watched as events unfolded on the political turf, and realised the country needed an intervention for fairness, justice and inclusion of Nigerians in the issues that affect their lives,’’ he said.

In his remarks, the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Masari, said the process of electing the leaders of the party at the ward level was hitch-free, orderly and based on the constitution of the APC.

“What we have here are our leaders that were chosen based on consensus and we are happy that it reflects the will of the people and the APC constitution. We followed the process to also ensure that there is an affirmation,’’ he said.

The Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Ward Congress, who is also the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq urged the party leaders to remain loyal and live up to expectations.

The South-South Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and head of Flock of Christ Mission, Warri, Delta State, Bishop Simeon Okah, has announced that henceforth, any member of his church that has not obtained his Permanent Voters’ Card “would not be allowed to worship.”

He said gone were the days when Christians see politics as sin.

He said, “From Thursday, any member of my church who does not have his or her voter’s card would not enter this house (Church). By the grace of God, I am the one God used in founding the Flock of Christ Mission.”

He also faulted the treatment meted to Senator Dino Melaye (Kogi West), stressing that Nigeria needs people like the lawmaker.

He told newsmen on Saturday that, “I have concerns for Dino. His hands may not be as clean as a saint but a man like him has a role to play in building this country.

“We need men like Dino. Let everybody of goodwill fight to see that Dino is released; if he has criminal records, he should face it but he should not be kept in detention

“He is intelligent. Let us see how we can save him from the hands of policemen. For a man like Dino, the police should show some level of leniency, because we need people like Dino in this country if we want this country to be great.”

Christianity EtcRe: "Buhari Should Retire" - Cardinal Onaiyekan by yazach: 3:34pm On May 05, 2018
Letenwam:
A Cardinal of the Catholic Church and the Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Onaiyekan who reacted to the recent killing of two catholic priests in Benue State, slammed security agencies, who he said have been watching as herdsmen slaughter innocent citizens of the country even in their worship places.

Cardinal Onaiyekan, who maintained that living in peace was less expensive than going to war, however insisted that the people would not continue to fold their hands and die on a daily basis. According to him in the interview with Sun, priests in Benue State may be forced to pick up arms and defend themselves against being killed by rampaging herdsmen.

“They have not done so. That is not our way and I don’t think they will. And I am hoping that we have not reached that stage yet. But you could reach that stage.

“Yesterday, they killed us, the next day, they killed us, the policemen are around and they have done nothing. And the police are given guns and they don’t use them.

“The Army comes and moves around and nothing happens. They are not going to wait for me to tell them what to do. They don’t want that to continue and all we have been telling government is please, don’t push people too far.

“It is not possible to tell us that Nigeria is unable to secure our territory. We cannot believe it, to tell us that it is beyond the possibility of the police; that the whole Nigerian Army with the billion naira and the billion dollars budgets that we are spending; they still can’t keep us safe.

“And they want me to believe that? We can’t believe it, which is why we are saying no, there is something seriously wrong which must be addressed quickly because at the end of the day, everybody is going to suffer.

“As you know, most of us, at least, are pleading that we live in peace with one another because living in peace is less expensive than going to war. Also, when you go to war, who wins?

“Whoever is stronger wins, not who is right. The Pope used to say that we must replace the right of force with the force of right. That is where we are now. Don’t forget that somebody (Gen. TY Danjuma) who ought to know did make a statement about get ready to defend yourselves.
“And he should know what he is talking about. And he clearly accused government of collusion. That is serious.

“For various reasons, personally, if he (Buhari) came to me for advice, I will tell him it is time for retirement" Cardinal Onaiyekan said.

EdificationBoss:
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, has urged the police to prioritize the health and safety of Sen. Dino Melaye before prosecution.

Dogara made the call at the plenary on Thursday in Abuja after a personal explanation was raised by Rep. Sunday Karimi (Kogi-PDP) drawing the attention of the House to Dino’s plight.

The senator is currently facing a seven-count charge of criminal conspiracy and unlawful possession of firearms in Kogi State.

The helmsman of the green chambers, however, said that anyone who committed any offence must face the law.

The speaker said he had not seen any country where anybody had been arraigned in court on stretchers.

“I have not seen in any country where someone is arraigned in court on stretchers when he or she is not fit to plead guilty or not guilty.

“If anything happens to him, (Dino) the responsibility will be on the security agency,” he said.

Earlier, speaking under personal explanation, Karimi said in the process of arresting and transporting Dino from Abuja to Lokoja by the police, the lawmaker was involved in an accident and was hospitalised.

Karimi said that he counted no fewer than 36 policemen guarding the hospital where Dino was receiving treatment.

He said Dino, who had yet to fully recover, was being tried while still on stretcher.

According to him, Dino is being persecuted for his political believe and what is happening to him can happen to any of us.

“I appeal to the house to look at the issue and make sure due process is followed,” he said. (NAN)

Ebullience:
PRESIDENT Muhammad Buhari has said politicians have wrecked the country saying only God can save the country.

Speaking in an interview with the Voice of America in Hausa service monitored on Tuesday, Buhari remarked that his administration was on track.

He said his greatest challenge when he assumed office was the issue of insecurity, economy, and corruption.

‘In the aspect of security, we have significantly defeated the insurgency. Right now, most of them have been hiding in Sambisa forest and they can not come out because of fear of being wiped out by the military.

‘What we have now are pockets of suicide attacks orchestrated by young girls who were been lured into it without their knowledge and they carry out the attacks in markets, schools, and worship centres.

Speaking on the economy, the President made decisions to introduce the Treasury Single Account(TSA).

‘When I came in, I called the Governor of the Central Bank, Emiefele, if there was money. He is still around and he told me, no. Then I reminded him that for the 16 years the PDP had held power, the price of barrel crude oil had always been $100 + producing about 2million barrel per day if you compute the amount it was huge money. He said yes. What happened to the money he said it was used for payments of debts.

‘On corruption, the president noted that people want us to keep quiet and not to talk about the quantum of money stolen in the past 16 years. But why shall we be quiet? In fact, politicians have wrecked the country and only God can save the situation and bring us out of the wood, he maintained.
