The rule is clear, none of them satisfies the condition to be declared winner and therefore it will be inconclusive. A re-run will be done within a week. Thereafter, whoever has the majority votes with 1/4 in 2/3rd of the states in the country will be declared winner.

Also note that, before 2019, elections where fully under the control of the state governors, and today we have BVAs which will give the ordinary people to opportunity to have their votes counted, I stead of the usual ballot box snatching and massive riggings.

Also today, we have social media and mobile phones where videos of things can be easily recorded and uploaded to the world to see and pass it's judgement.

From current projections, if OBI doesn't win on first ballot, it's almost certainly game-over!

The key reason OBI has a high chance today is because the votes in the north are shared by the other 3 top contenders. If there's a run-off, northern votes would no longer be shared.

If the run-off is between OBI and Tinubu, you'd agree with me that whilst the majority of the northern PDP voters may not necessarily like Tinubu, most would gravitate towards a Tinubu over an OBI (largely due to tribal / religious sentiments).

Similarly, if the run-off is between OBI and Atiku, with the distasteful intertribal aggression between the SE and SW, would OBI really be able to inherit Tinubu's south western votes? Would current APC supporters in the SW pick an OBI over an Atiku in a run-off?

However the case goes, I don't think a run-off will favour OBI. Whilst its important that OBI consolidates his votes in his strongholds, it's also imperative that he wins the election on first ballot.

All opinion polls point to obi winning while almost all polls shows tinubu finishing second.but obi is winning in se ss which has a low turnout and tinubu will lead him in ne nw which doubles that of se ss.
In the event that obi gets the highest votes due to high turnout in se/ss and core north is hit by apathy,obi won't meet the spread.assuming he gets 25% in 17 southern states,4 states in nc,kad and two between taraba,Adamawa and gombe,he will have 24 states.but realistically I dont see him getting the spread in osun,ekiti,bayelsa,nasarawa,Adamawa,gombe.I see tinubu having the spread.assuming he has the second highest votes after obi,they will be a runoff...
