If you are tired, go and sleep.
Not all historians are legit, that's why they have to be corroborated and discoveries are analyzed by experts.
Your stories can't be corroborated within Nigeria, and don't make sense.

Benin was NEVER an empire, it doesn't matter how many surrogate writers you employ to write books.

There was a documentary shown here recently about Benin, and the white man said Benin kingdom.

Get lost! You and who in rivalry? Ode!

Benin was NEVER an empire, and you know it. Wikipedia isn't authentic for history, anything can be written there. You people that are more tribalist are the first to play the same card. You were never a great people or world renowned and still ain't. Check, you couldn't colonise the the hamlets around your town, yet you call yourself what again?

All medieval history is told with physical evidence.

I say it as I see it, you are not up to that standard to hate. I don't like when cockroaches talk like an elephant. Benin was a tiny kingdom NEVER an empire. And what will I be touring in Edo when my town Ijebu Ode gets more tourist action than your whole state. You need to save yourself from shame and stop talking nonsense. What Benin has always been is exactly what you see when you look at it, the short man trying to talk big. If not allowing your lies to stick means hatred for you, the floor is yours. That Wikipedia that can be edited is your reference point is weak. You were never the story you tell about yourselves and still ain't,

What part is it you don't get that, if she couldn't produce all the evidence for her own defense, who's fault is that? Or was the witness dead and just resurrected after 10 year?

She had her days in court, and she's bound by the judge's ruling.

I've said the same thing over again and I'm so done with this topic for now.
TheGoodJoe:

So, you believe his not saying the truth because you can not establish if he was at that place of the accident.

I believe him because he revealed details that clarified some things. Especially, that other doctors arrived the scene later and said they were together with the man for a medical event.

It is difficult to make up something like that. Something that can show if he is lying or saying the truth. It is easier to dig if other doctors who knew Doctor Giwa arrived the scene.

He said Ibinabo was unconscious and he put her in the car with the teenage girl to take her to the hospital for urgent medical attention. It can be investigated if there was a girl in the car.

He narrowed the time of the event. Saying it happened while it was getting dark. The time of the event can show this.

If the teenage girl in the car was true, then Ibinabo was not coming from a club.

These are the reason why I believe the man. That does not make the man's testimony the truth but calls for more investigation.

Celebrities › Re: Eye Witness Account Of Ibinabo Fiberisima’s Accident - Charles Novia by ycat: 11:13pm On Mar 18, 2016
You are not for the truth, you are just about getting her off jail.

Why didn't you ask for investigation during both trials? She had her day in court, not once but twice, let her do the time.

Why now that memories of eye witnesses about what happened can't really be as clear as when it just happened?

The statements taken down from the real eye witnesses on the ground at the time is the only thing useful for this case. The rest is just dog and pony show. If she couldn't investigate for 10 years then, we know it's a fake and bought witness.
TheGoodJoe:

You know I was not there but you are talking as if you know the whole truth? The family member who said Ibinabo removed the plates, was the family member there? So how is her testimony the Holy Grail.

I am not part of Ibinabo's legal team. I am not an Ibinabo fan. I am not a relative to her. She is not my friend.

So why do you think I want her to get away with a crime.

I am for the truth. If Ibinabo's recklessness led to a man's death, she should brace ups and do the time.

If it was a mistake and her carelessness did not cause the accident, I pray God gives her a way out of this.

That is why I would continue calling for a thorough investigation. For instance, the medical report from the doctor who treated her. Did he receive I binary unconscious?
Celebrities › Re: Eye Witness Account Of Ibinabo Fiberisima’s Accident - Charles Novia by ycat: 10:48pm On Mar 18, 2016
You weren't there either.

What you are doing.is to help her get away with crime.

The court has everything they needed, and no new fake evidence would be admissible. New trial should be denied. Justice delayed is justice denied. You have delayed justice, but we won't let you kill it.

The trial has been on for 10 years, why were there no investigation? Oh! Because you thought that you got away with crime.

Like the victim's family said, she wasn't unconscious. She's the only one who could have removed the plate number from the car.

Court got everything they need on this case, so you can chew your nollywood script.
TheGoodJoe:

As I said before. You were not there.

That is why we need someone to investigate properly. This is about the truth and not personal feelings.

If Ibinabo arrived the hospital unconscious, then she was not the one who pulled the license plates from the car. Maybe someone else affiliated to her did it to save her image.

However, the person is not on trial. What we need is the truth. Not what I feel or what you feel.

If you do not believe the witness, that does not make it a lie.

That is why I advised you not to rain curses on something you are not sure of.
Celebrities › Re: Eye Witness Account Of Ibinabo Fiberisima’s Accident - Charles Novia by ycat: 10:30pm On Mar 18, 2016
She is a hit and run criminal, and all your litany won't cut it.

I'm sure you are deaf to the part where she removed the plate number of the car and had to be traced by vin of the car.

You are just throwing everything in the air and hoping something sticks, but you won't succeed, the court already had statements from the real eye witnesses. So your movie script is not needed.
TheGoodJoe:
What is all the harshness and abuse for? As you are typing all these, you do not know if the witness is telling the truth or lying. That is why there is a term called the benefit of doubt.

You can not call the witness a liar if you do not know if he is lying if not.

I thought Ibinabo crashed on returning from the club but from the witness testimony, It makes sense that it was in the evening and the doctor was coming from a medical event. Ibinabo's teenage sister was in the car, that means she was not coming from a club. Daniel Wilson said they were preparing for a burial, when Ibinabo left with his car.

So attacking me and my clan does not change anything. What matters is the truth.

That is why there should be an investigation to determine if the man is saying the truth or not.

For 10years the witness didn't come forward but, now that the reality of prison is staring you in the face, you made up a story that is opposite what the real eye witness said

Did you for one second, think, "What of if the witness is saying the truth?"

Unlike other reports, this man's testimony showed that Ibinabo did not come from a club. Daniel Wilson said she arrived the hospital unconscious.

You will say anything to ease your pain of low self-esteem and 7th class citizen status in Nigeria but, the history is settled.

When we say oba of benin/bini, we mean the Yoruba oba/oranmiyan, it has nothing to do with you modern day impostors.

'Benin' was the name of the land not the people, until you came from 'god knows where' to make it a tribe name.

Oranmiyan was the Yoruba man who came to rule over you as the first oba and named the land 'bini'.

If you ever had any missing Imado or Izodu, he was probably eaten by wild animals. Our Oduduwa is an abrev of a set of words in Yoruba language that have no meaning in your language.

You opportunists can try again.

Keep lying and believing your own lies to compensate your for your inadequacies, it's on you.

Benin produced Ododuwa, all your relevant kings are sons of Benin.

Culture › Re: Alake Is A Junior King In Yorubaland – Awujale by ycat:
That's the fact, it wasn't a rumor, the Sagamu part is the new one we never heard of.

Of course, there's always the option of Sagamu remaining in Ogun state like a lot of people think. Sagamu is better off in ogun state really, it's closer to Lagos and Abeokuta, and has all the advantages already.

Ijebu ode is the biggest in ogun just after Abeokuta and there's nothing wrong in it if Sagamu is subservient, that is if they want to be part of ijebu state.

Ijebu is the only province that has not become a state, some former provinces have even had 2 states created out of them.

Call it anything you want, Remo can't cash in on Ijebus struggle. Ijebu state will be.
spiralwedge:
That's naive. That's a mere rumour.

If Diya wanted to make Odogbolu the capital what stopped him, being a military deputy head of state? And if Abacha, his oga, did not want Odogbolu, what stopped him for placing it in IjebuOde? Who would question or stop him? He was a maximum military dictator.

Now, I said naive because you dont know or not considerate of the socio-political implications. If Ijebu state was created, two out of the major old divisions would be contained... Remo and Ijebu. So tell me, does it make sense to call the new state and also have the capital in IjebuOde? Doesn't it mean the Remos would be minority or subservient in the new state? The Remos are smart and the Ijebus are arrogant. It is better for the Remos to remain in this present arrangement called Ogun state where they stand tall with the other 3 old divisions than to be political nonentities in your one-sided Ijebu State.

One thing is sure, Ijebu State may never materialise, because of the Ijebus' arrogance. However, if it does it is either Remos are excluded or Ijebus and Remos share the political relevance of both the name and the capital city as it is done elsewhere. Eg. ONDO - Akure, OYO - Ibadan etc.

Once again, the odogbolu story was a rumour.
Culture › Re: Alake Is A Junior King In Yorubaland – Awujale by ycat:
The word is, Diya wanted to make Odogbolu the capital, and that was what drew objection from Awujale. Sagamu was never a contender. Awujale has since be pushing for ijebu state alone with the capital in Ijebu ode. And if it is created it's going to be in Ijebu ode. Ikenne is Remo so is Sagamu, so what's their problem with Ijebu state? If Ikenne and Sagamu want a state, they will have to go and ask for it and not try to block Ijebu state.

Osiibajo can't influence Ijebu state because Awujale has been on it before he was picked as Vp and I'm sure Tinubu would have told him that this very topic is a no-go area for him. Also, Buhari is a close friend of Awujale and that's the only thing Awujale asked from him.

Forget it, Ijebu ode has Ijebu state on lock.
spiralwedge:
My brother abi na sister, this is a mere hearsay.

As a matter of fact, this is exactly what i heard when Abacha/Diya wanted to create Ijebu State in the 90s. Only that it was a rivalry between Sagamu and IjebuOde. Ijebu state was supposed to be announced in that broadcast either with Ekiti or instead of.

Concerning Ogun state creation, history has it that Obj hates Awo's presidential ambitions, (Obj doesn't hide this in his books or interviews) and destabilising Awo's base with newly introduced states was Obj's strategy. The Awujale said this sometimes along this line this year during Ogun state's 40th anniversary celebration.
