You should be able say your tribe. It means you have something to hide.

That's not 2016 Rolce Royce.

We don't know what is and isn't true on Nairaland, so pathetic!

Dividing the country is the best but, many are still in denial. I agree, the country is done for, and all the band aid approach is just a waste of time and energy. Nigeria can't work.

@Op, where are you from and why did you single out Tinubu? Mentioning him alone on a topic for national call, and sounding pdp may ruin this otherwise nice thread.

Drunk driving = Vehicular homicide

The judge should have given her more than that to send message to would-be drunk drivers.

5 years will soon come but the man killed is not coming back, his wife and children are in grief for more than 10 years.
Politics › Re: Buhari Backs Western Sahara On Self-determination From Morocco by ycat: 4:37am On Mar 12, 2016
I don't.know why anyone would blame Buhari for this. He has no power to hand them the secession, he can only support them as his muslim brothers.

This is a partially recognized state and would still be subject to UN and AU resolutions like Buhari said.

Now compare this with the hate movement of Biafra which is just a bunch of noise makers with nothing to show that they are indeed serious about their agitation. We have even given them several suggestions, but none is being put to use.
Or maybe they can learn a few things from southern Morocco.

I'm female. It depends on the topic though. Introducing yourself as 'Yoruba from Kogi' in itself isn't awkward but to join the hausa/fulani in their "intake" thread to express "one north" is. I think what tpiar is talking about though are the impostors and haters who shred Yoruba by starting with "I'm Yoruba", these are many in nairaland.
Owobobrown:
word. you are a man of wisdom, it's sound awkward whenever you tell people you are a Yoruba from kogi state,

Are you Yoruba?
Taolyn4lif:
This is what happens when monarchs talk too much (and with no sense of diplomacy). Monarchs jamtalk a lot these days: this reminds me of the popular 'lagoon' incident. It is expected that an adult should be able to identify issues to be silent about to avoid any form of controversy or disunity.

That's how most prisoners look to survive. They eat, lift weight and fight to live.

So unless you are saying most prisoners are ibos, this is nothing to be proud of.

The message is, Sanusi and his friends know that Yoruba is the only tribe standing up to them where it matters, so he took his time to rant about us.. And yes we are his problem and his headache that keeps him up at night.

For the shiitt carriers ibos above, the day you become problem to the trouble making north is the day you arrive. For now "salt melt where it's placed", Stay where you are, no one takes you seriously.

TrajansKong:
He needs to learn from Hillary Clinton.

It's not about supporting civil rights, fighting segregation or being an ethical human being and public servant for over 50 years. We aren't interested in any of that.

Bernie Sanders needs to come to our churches. He needs to be seen carrying a Bible and be able to quote from it. He must be filmed swaying to spirituals and donating to our mega pastors.

Once he starts paying our pastors he'll get our votes and we will follow him anywhere, unquestioningly, the way we follow Jesus...

Hillary knows...

You can't have your tongues deep in the ass of your enemies and still say "we Yoruba", or get stumble on a thread where Yoruba are being bashed, only to be showering your antagonists with praises and say "I'm Yoruba". They say only bastard points to his father's house with the left finger.

I believe any Yoruba who still want to be in the same country with hausa and ibos is not only self-hating but suffering from brain damage too. People with sound minds gravitate towards peace and love for oneself, and defend their own.

You don't need to say you are Yoruba, your comments give you away.

Owobobrown:
so we can't call ourselves "we" anymore, can you please explain why we can't. Thanks
Politics › Re: Biafra, Sincerity, Strategy, Justice And Mechanism by ycat: 9:02am On Mar 10, 2016
When the time comes, you will know.

Not just the Hausa, even your people will the biggest sting, and for now, you can live anywhere you want, when it starts biting you, no one will tell you it's time.

One thing I know is, you will drive yourselves out, we haven't even started anything and you cry over something as little as demolishing markets. Your balls are under our heel and can be mashed anytime.

You will soon come and cry blood here, and you are more of cowards cos you have given more ultimatums that any people on earth.
EasternActivist:
When its over?? When gonna be that??

Besides the Hausa believe that as far as they have a one Nigeria they can reside anywhere they like...

So where are you driving them to when you are in same Nigeria with them , may be Kenya or Niger lol.

No policy born of yoruba cowardice will see the light of the day, they will become futile like others before it..

It's just a matter of time before the whole world see you as the confused people who don't know what they want.

This is news you should be happy about, but you just can't forget Yoruba for a minute, you just had to quickly drag them into your misery.

Try and take your mind off Yoruba for a minute, it won't kill you. You need to learn to live, life is not all about Yoruba.

Calling it a coward move is just masking your pain and outrage. What we have done up till this time hasn't worked and we have to try another approach. We have to protect ourselves. If watching out for ourselves is coward, so be it, anything to drive you nuts and out of Lagos.

We need to do what is good for us and bad for you ingrates, just maybe we can earn some respects. We knew this is real you, that's why we didn't buy the phony you tried.

When it's over, we will know who owns it!

tysontim,

Why didn't you state when this picture was taken and the part of Lagos this is? Or just post the link if you got it from a source.

These will help us know what exactly we are looking at. It won't do any justice to the situation on the ground if this is not a recent picture. We need to know if this just happened after the mile12 fight or before.

@ All, can anyone confirm seeing cows on BRT lane in the last 4 days? I know some would say they even saw lions if they can get pictures from Tanzania. We just need to be able to separate facts from fantasies!

It's like these self-righteous punks are doing it on purpose just to get Yoruba bashed. Check the whole first page as always, it's Yoruba this and that, and they will stilll open another one tomorrow. If the poster of the this topic is really Yoruba, we should even be more worried. It means our youths are turning omugo by the minute.

Low self-esteem is indeed a terrible thing.

People like the Op is the reason why the insults will never stop. Cowards keep opening threads when they know it's going to be the same result of bashing Yoruba, and expect us to just keep quiet. Only fools do the same thing same way over and over again and expect a different result. It can never work!

We are way passed all these unnecessary talks, all we need is to ask to respect each other, why is no one preaching this simple solution? It's like people just want to keep talking empty nothing.
