Babalola Idowu Boluwatife, a youth corper member serving Ogun state has donated some books, set of uniforms and mathematical sets to some 40 students in the state as part of his Community Development project in the state. He said the decision to make this donation has always been his desire to support his community during his youth service years. He said: Community Development service is one of the four cardinal point of NYSC, the motivation gotten from my brothers after their service year made me determined to contribute my impact to any community I find myself. The Batch C Stream 1, 2022 corper described the donation as one of his happiest moment, impacting on his community. “Thus, it’s was a beautiful moment for me when I saw myself impacting lives in my host community Aiyepe Ijebu Odogbolu Local government of Ogun.” He said “It was not an easy journey although but determination and passion keeps me moving. Sensitizing 1500 students on weekly basis for 4 months on factors affecting youth in our technological era was a huge success.” Speaking further, he said: “I rounded up the project by empowering some indigent students and best students with educational materials. 40 students benefited from this empowerment, in which some students collected complete set of School uniform, some collected mathematics and English textbooks while some students collected customized exercise books.” https://lagoscityreporters.com/why-i-embarked-on-community-project-youth-corps-member/ |
