Heathrow44: The conversation of special status for Lagos started more than a decade so its not about Sanwo Olu really....Its all about continuity of good governance in Lagos State by successive governments and the interest of Lagos project at play.....Getting things done and achieving developmental feat in a democratic settings most times requires strategic lobbying which Lagos is doing presently in order to achieve set goal and objective.....Its better for people advocating for inclusion of other states to advise them engage their leaders to commence same strategy and stop crying on social media which amounts to nothing. |

clarocuzioo: You are too ignorant of the exact happenings in Lagos......The people's choice speak volume of major political decisions..... Take for instance, when there was serious misunderstanding between the former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola and Tinubu that, the political stakeholders stood behind BRF and second term ticket was given to BRF even against Tinubus wish.... Now, during the era of the immediate past Governor, AMBODE did not really have substantial grudge with Tinubu that could cost him his second term, but the political stakeholders in Lagos state kicked against his second term and even vowed to support the opposition if APC go ahead to present him as candidate.....at the end of the day, the wishes of the people prevailed....... Politicians from other states should seek for tutorial from Tinubu and Lagos State generally on how to startegically handle political issues instead of being envious of Tinubu.. 2 Likes 1 Share |

nonxo007: Whether haters and wailers like it or believe it or not, Tinubu's factor and his visionary ideals have resorted to relative development ( Economic and Political) we have in Lagos, western and by extension in Nigeria. We all know the economic indices of Lagos in terms of GDP and HDI before 1999 and what it is now.....what baffles me is that some people tend to look other way and finds it problematic to identify with recent development in Lagos State since 1999 championed by her leaders including the prominent Jagaban.... By all standard Lagos GDP is more than any known country in west Africa including Ghana, The only state in Nigeria that can survive without federal transfers....am sure there will be breakdown of law and order in your state if federal transfer failed to hit your State's treasury for just a month ![]() ![]() Now, you talk about him winning elections through do or die means...Let me educate you as you have rightly remarked.....If Tinubu had been winning elections as an opposition figure throughout the entire 16 years of PDP reigns and was not found wanting....it takes a common sense to conclude that repeating such feat when his party now in power shouldn't create any negative thoughts when no courts of competent jurisdiction had pronounced otherwise.... Dont worry yourself about his comment or not on Amotekun issue...The whole initiative and agenda is wholly supported by all and sundry in Yoruba land including the leaders of only PDP controlled State in SW, Oyo State. I can assure you and other like minds that this initiate goes beyond party sentiments and ideologies as witnessed in other regions of the country, hence keep calm and watch out for its implementation and outcomes for possible emulation in your region ... Yes, as i mentioned in my earlier post, the initiative is holistically presented to address all manner of crimes....including those you are referring to and others....On its legality,....Amotekun is highly legit....No courts in Nigeria have pronounced its illegality other than social media pronouncements we are used to here and there.... |

So skeptical about the implementation and how realistic this idea could be, based on the usual promises and fail antecedents of successive governments in Nigeria.... .....but i hope they get it right this time around ....This particular one weak me sha.

jimyjames: Seeing it is not the issue here but the capacity and the wisdom to implement it.....this is where the SE have got it wrong, you dont take arms against a sitting administration and you expect them to keep looking, another area were self determination in the SE crumbles is due to the fact that majority of their Governors did not even buy into such agenda....... You need to see how all and sundry were in total support of the Amotekun security agenda in the SW including OYO State the only PDP among others. When any agenda is devoid of perceived political consideration and sentiments, the likelihood to achieve set objective for such agenda is very high. Even if self determination would be the best option for the Yorubas, i think we will deal with it in such a manner that will shake the whole world i mean without going to war with anybody or shedding of blood....just watch out for the magic......very soon.... 10 Likes |

nonxo007: Crime in Nigeria are perpetrated by Nigerians including Fulani, Yoruba, Ibo and other tribes....Amotekun is a proactive response to addressing those crimes.....so, stop ascribing crime to only the Fulanis though.... By all standard, Jagaban is a leader that any tribe in Nigeria could be proud of....... |
