I doubt if this can work, no man can friendzone a lady he really love or want for good 20 years. Unless you are already dating, no man talk about anything in the present of a lady he intend to date or marry. The fact that you guys has slept in the same bed several time without him making a move stylishly shows you are probably not attractive to him. He may pity or dont want to hurt your feelings by saying yes but i dont see a genuine love or attraction between you guys.
