I am in a dilemma and I need advice on what to do.
A bit of background about myself: I am a 29 years only child from a very poor background. I work for an IT firm which i joined in 2019 as a graduate trainee.
My total income is around 490k (400k from main job, 90k from a writing side gig).
My challenge: Recently, My host have told me to look for my accommodation and I have been searching for houses. Unfortunately, the places closer to my places of work is expensive.
I work in VI and the cheapest mini flat I have seen in close vicinity is 1.2M at Ajah.
I also have have a building project I am undertaking in the village that is at roofing stage and my parents have been pressuring me to settle down as the only child.
My dilemma is this, If i go for the house at Ajah, it will eat a bulk of my savings, thereby making it impossible for me to complete the building project or even start the process of settling down.
If I go for a cheaper but farer location, I will be spending more time in traffic.
Please, how do I manage this?

The families who sold it to me said they are entitled for their own percentage from the money the buyer is offering. Please I need to know if that's how it's done. I had to tell them that's not possible it's my own land I bought from them I am selling, he went further and said it's either they buy it back from with same amount I bought 2018 or I give them their percentage from the appreciating amount or I develop and let matter rest.

Aboguede: A fake doctor identified as Omenka Abawulor has been caught by the Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners while trying to apply as a medical officer at the Covenant University Medical Centre, Ota, in the Sango area of Ogun State.
PUNCH Healthwise gathered that Omenka had applied for the position of a Medical Officer and reportedly presented fake credentials, which included a photocopy of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria registration certificate issued in 2015.
The 35-year-old suspect also presented a certificate from the Benue State University where he claimed to have obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and graduated with a Second Class Upper Division.
It was gathered that the suspect, who works as an auxiliary nurse at some private hospitals, was caught during a job interview held at the Covenant University Medical Centre while being scrutinised by three doctors about his credentials.
Omenka’s cover was blown after he failed to justify why his MDCN registration number was the same as those who got the certificate four decades ago.
A source told our correspondent that the suspect during interrogation confessed to having obtained the fake certificates from racketeers at Oluwole in Lagos State.
The source said, “The man first went to Covenant University Health Centre last week to apply for the post of Medical Officer.
I have experienced outbreaks of this kind the third time in the space of 5months. My husband changed totally after wedding day, in fact, it started on the wedding night and its giving me a lot of concern.
It's not that he is not talking to me or we are fighting, but he is not the cheerful happy person anymore.
