I'll like to go back to school at some point in Canada but will I still need proof of English if I'm already a permanent resident? If yes, then, I think it's a good idea to actually change it. ugoiyke79e: maybe u shld go and change it to Academic IELTS so u dont lose out. u may just need academic ielts for some othe reason after u land. |

Thanks a lot. Does anyone have a draft of the bank letter in CiC format? I intend to request for one from First Bank tomorrow and think it will be a good idea to go with a draft as guide. freeradical: Only provide the degree for your highest qualification which you evaluate. The rest I believe will appear in your personal history because you can't lie to CIC and you have to give every detail of your adult life from when you are 18. It should also appear in your study history but you will select that you did not evaluate the degree. This shouldn't be a problem |

Thanks for taking your time to give us such detailed advice. I am taking it to heart. I'm filling my form already and I didn't assess my first degree. Should I include it in the place provided for personal history or for study history, being that I don't have an ECA for it? Thanks again! freeradical: What a glorious CRS cut off score. I spent close to 6months on 433 with my first EE profile searching for ITA but it wouldn't come
Congratulations to all our new ITA holders, yimiton, dammiehar, XX01, et al. I know you guys expect to get speedy processing of your eAPR to PPR and so I've decided to help you with a few advice from my own experience. My timeline from AOR to PPR is just 46days which is quite impressive and something I'd wish for you guys to replicate. Now my advice to you goes as follows. Brace up its gonna be a long read
1. Getting ITA is a big deal but it's not so much of a big deal if u don't package your application well and it gets rejected. So use only 24 hours to celebrate dis ITA after which you have to settle down, snap out of the euphoria(you are not in Canada yet ) and focus on submitting your eAPR without making any costly error that may mar your chances. ..... 8. Finally just keep praying as though everything depends on your prayers but not your work and try not to be overly anxious. Who anxiety EPP sef.
I wish you guys a smooth PPR journey from here on. |

XX01: We have the same score. If I had known it will take so long, I would have asked for a remark of my writing and maybe that 0.5 would have taken me to 458. But I still have hope. My husband's scores should kick in from next 2 weeks but I hope to get ITA before then.
Na 69th ray of hope get me now. Congrats @XX01 I hope you've received the golden email. |

Congratulations to all the new ITA recipients (Dammiehar, XX01,yimiton et al )
@yimiton, hope you have not yet paid for the IELTS exams you registered for?
Foreign nationals who, on August 9, 2017, at 12:15:03 UTC, have been assigned a total of 433 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014, and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

Thanks. I need this optimism. It's a little frustrating to keep missing ITAs by so little margins. calfy: The CRS will certainly drop. It's where it is today because of people like us that got provincial nomination. Ontario gave out a lot of provincial nomination this month and that affected the score. But, if you check the analysis by IRCC, you will see that now that the provincial nominees have been awarded ITA, the next one will certainly drop. I am guessing to around 432 or below and you will be covered. See link below for the analysis.

Thanks a lot. Your response is reassuring. bigbroda: It's gonna drop babe. These guyz can't sustain d 440+. They even had to chill for 3 weeks to do a draw to achieve an ITA of around 3000. They are even trying to introduce something dat has to do with easing the process of getting jobs as an oversea applicant from august 28th which obviously guarantees more CRS points for applicants just d way they dashed out extra 15 points to people with siblings in Canny. I believe they are doing all these to ensure they don't go lower than 400 cos without d introduction of things like dis, they would surely do less than 400 before the year ends unless they wanna reduce the number of ITAs issued which will affect their target for the year.
I personally don't think u need another IELTS, u have a fantastic result! D cut off will even go as low as 420 if not less in the next 3 months. My opinion though and kinda certain about it.
Congrats 40manlappy and co. Wish everyone here success.

Good morning guys, I know my question is a bit far fetched but does anyone think CRS that will be given ITA will ever fall below 440 again?
I have 438 points and missed ITA twice, so I just registered to retake IELTS with the hope of getting the highest possible scores in all 4. I currently have L8, W7, R7, S7.5 With one more point in reading and half a point in the other 2, I should get better points.
However, it will be nice to know if you guys think that the required CRS points will drop in subsequent draws. |

Guys, I just checked my EE profile and saw a notification of maintenance on the site scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, 2nd August and while looking around to ensure that everything is intact in my profile, I noticed that my status was on 'updated'. and not submitted
I viewed my submitted application just to ensure that I don't have anything not transmitted and re-signed my online signature. However, the status is still on 'updated' and more worrisome, I also saw a notification that says 'Continue my profile / application, not yet submitted' Is this normal? I'm getting really worried, being that there might be a draw tomorrow. |

Wow! Thanks for this very detailed description of London. You totally blew my mind. Obviously, you live there and if you can speak this passionately about it, it's definitely a nice place to live. To your question, I haven't moved to Canada yet but London is my dream city. TheCongo2: When I first read your comments, my first intention was to get a voice recorder to go around the City and let Londoners address your concern. But, then I realized I wasn't going to be able to upload the voice file on nairaland.
The person who told you that London is filled with Hispanics and very low class immigrants didn't paint the correct picture of London to you. London is by far what that person had described to you.
First of all, Canada is not the States. You will never find a congestion of Hispanic immigrants anywhere in Canada like you would in the States. Do you know that Mexicans don't need a visa to enter Canada? Nevertheless, a lot of Mexicans would prefer going through the trouble of risking their lives by paying thousands dollars to smugglers to cross the US border illegally or to jump the wall between US and Mexico all for the sake of living in the United States. For reasons known only to Mexicans, they don't want to come to Canada where a visa isn't a requirement to them. And a trip to Canada by plane would be safer and cheaper to a Mexican than paying smuggler to enter the States illegally. I don't think there is any place in Canada where you can hear the Hispanic language on an ongoing basis unless you go to a Hispanic Church or involved with Hispanic people . I never heard Spanish on the streets of London from random people.
If someone told you that he had seen so many Hispanics and very low class immigrants in London, Ontario, I can only see one thing: This person was staying at a homeless shelter in London. The homeless shelter is the only place that would fit the description of the London that was painted in your post. Not only the shelter is the place you would meet many new comers (mostly refugees or asylum seekers) who are trying to settle in London or in Canada but also Canadians who for one reason or another had lost everything and are trying to get back on their feet.
Anyone who has full time employment in London, regardless of the job type, would be aware that the work force in London is mostly made of white. You were given an incorrect picture of London by someone I strongly suspect had never got involved into the fabric of live that makes the City of London. A colleague friend of mine who is French Canadian (white) had always complaint to me that London is the first city she had ever lived in that is so full of white people. She is used to diversity. She was born in Montreal and had lived in a numerous cities in Canada and in Bordeaux, France. According to her, London has the highest density of white population per square inch in Canada.
London, Ontario, is the only place where I have seen an African immigrant single mother purchase their first homes. I went to school in New York City, I had been to Montreal, Toronto and it is close to impossible to see a single black mother purchase her home in those cities. In London, Ontario, I didn't see just 1 but a good number of them. As a matter of fact, almost everyone I know who had moved here had been able to purchase their first home.
By the way, where are you located if you don't mind me asking? |

Kontagious: Hi Yimiton, if you cannot get the required format, I believe the six months statement will suffice for the dom account while you can request a certificate for the Tbills. When uploading, support the documents will a LOE stating the letter could not be gotten in the required format hence you providing the closest alternative. @Kontagious, thanks a lot for your response. I'll try the letter and if it fails, I'll do as you have advised. |

TheCongo2: My kids do attend a catholic school in London, Ontario. I was never asked to show any baptismal certificate when I first enrolled them 2 years ago given the change of the rule. But a year earlier a baptismal certificate was required. I'll really love to settle in London, Ontario but someone tried to discourage me recently. Said the place is filled with Hispanics and very low class immigrants but I haven't found anything online to substantiate this claim. I am still seriously considering settling there. Can you please give me your first-hand experience of this city please. |

Yes, your MSc alone suffices. coconuthead: I recently understand that IRCC requires one to evaluate the highest degree only. the degree Im having trouble with is my first degree whereas I also have my Msc degree. Can anyone confirm that M.Sc evaluation is sufficient. If the B.Sc is not required to be evaluated, I can just request WES to knock if off my credentials submitted and request them to evaluate only my MSC |

Insists he's the officer-in-charge and there's no information anywhere. Has it actually been increased from N5000 to N8500? Ehrnie: Excuse me...I'm struggling to understand what you mean by distributing PCC form. You sure didn't think I was referring to a completed form did you....? That would be very disturbing indeed. I said someone has a blank PCC form (in PDF) which the poster (and everyone who needs a PCC) needs to fill out. The same type of form that you would get at alagbon. There is no security breach in sharing a BLANK PCC form, when all your details and fingerprints will be taken in the presence of an officer.
And yes, she is female so she needs to fill out the female form - that's why she's looking for one. |

It is possible to get 413 if you fulfil the following criteria You and your spouse write IELTS and you get at least: S7.5, L8.5, R8, W7.5 and your spouse gets S7, L8, R7, W7 and you both assess your degrees. Saintp: Please check this profile
Man: Age 34, Certificate Bsc, years of experience 5yrs, spouse certificate Bsc
Is it possible to get up to 400 in CRS? I have tried to use the highest IELTS scores possible to make calculations but can't get beyond 350.
