How do these stars manage to look this way just 10 weeks after child birth.

Although, According to Star magazine, trainer Marco Borges lived with her for two-a-day workouts at 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. and she's been "living on protein shakes, egg-white omelets, pineapple chunks, and lots of ice-cold water" to "have a better body than ever." but even at that, I still wonder.

CareerRe: Secretaries (Or Personal Assistants) On Nairaland by yimiton(f): 10:23am On Mar 14, 2012
Unless the secretaries do not have degrees, they are usually very dissatisfied with just being assistants and always look out for other opportunities.
Another set of Secretaries who may stay on on the jobs are those who have been there for so long, they can't imagine themselves doing other jobs or they've not been groomed to do anything else.

My advice, please change job roles as soon as you can, with a secretariat job, you can't grow to any heights, no matter how nice your boss may be.

@ Lanre, you're only wailing and blaming the govt for no apparent reason. What has cost of building materials got to do with 40% demand from agents? Do the agents pay for building materials too? What is their reason for their demands? What services have they rendered to entitle them to 40% of the Landlord's sweat?

Just so you know, I stay in Nigeria. That the govt does not live up to his responsibilities does not mean we should eat eachother.

I'm done with this conversation. Have a great week.
PropertiesRe: Miniflat To Let At Ikosi/Alapere Ketu Lagos by yimiton(f): 11:36pm On Feb 03, 2012
@ Chinom, you're very correct. Most people know they're being ripped off but the agents take sollace in the knowledge that people are desperately looking for apartments. Some of them even insist on 40% and this they translate as '2 yrs agency and 2 yrs agreement' dumb right,
PropertiesRe: Miniflat To Let At Ikosi/Alapere Ketu Lagos by yimiton(f): 12:40pm On Feb 03, 2012
It's ridiculous how people are quick to blame the government for everything that is not right in the society, even when they are the cause. Where in the world does any landlord/agent ask for more than one year rent for residential apartments? In sane places, rents are paid on monthly basis. Isn't it just reasonable that there should be some sanity in Lagos?

@ registration fee, what is the money paid as agency fees used for? If the prospective tenant parts with that sum and ends up paying for the house, does he get a refund for the registration fee?

It's bad enough that agents rip people off with the outrageous amounts they ask for agency and agreement (really, a prospective tenant is not supposed to pay an agency fee, it's the responsibility of the landlord to part with that money and they should actually hire a lawyer together who is supposed to give them an actual contract, but this never happens). Some of them even go as far as asking for 2 years agency and agreement which is totally ridiculous. How can you pay 2 years for something that is supposed to be a one off and no lawyer is even involved, and no actual contract drawn out?

What pisses me off most is the agent who ask for agency fees always go about showing people shanties. For me, it's like asking someone who's job hunting to pay a recruitment firm registrations fees. Once you hear that, you simply know they're dupes and you move on.
PropertiesRe: Miniflat To Let At Ikosi/Alapere Ketu Lagos by yimiton(f): 8:32pm On Feb 02, 2012
The amount you guys collect for agency and agreement which you never give any of your clients, I believe should be used for such expenses. You'll still end up with enough profit afterwards. Sometimes, plp need to use more than 15 agents before they can get a decent place. Do U expect the person to part with money to these 15 agents and end up being shown some sham all in the name of houses?

Experience has thought me that real agents who have decent houses to show plp do not go after the pea nuts some of you call registration fees, they go after the agency fee with all confidence and show off impressive houses which you'll only be too happy to pay for.

@ the 2 years, that there's demand does not mean people should be ripped off neighter does it make it right. The law has states what it should be, the citizens should follow it, otherwise, they are not any better than our leaders whom we all castigate for corruption. Things should be done right.
PropertiesRe: Miniflat To Let At Ikosi/Alapere Ketu Lagos by yimiton(f): 12:00pm On Feb 02, 2012
The new Lagos tenancy law states that you shouldn't demand for more than one year rent of prospective tenants.

Also, agents who demand for registration fees before showing any house to prospective tenants are frauds. They know they've got nothing reasonable to offer.

Oh, how I'll love to really really punish Mr. Inegbedion, My JSS 1 Mathematics teacher. I'll make him crawl on all four round the school and drive my car through muddy water to ensure that he's covered in mud! I'll have all JSS1-3 students cane and make fun of him.

Mr. Inegbedion was a bad man, he not only flogged children for nothing he also used to handle the just budding breasts of JSS 1 to 3 children! He was totally shameless and we were beside ourselves with joy when he was finally transferred to an all boys school. THE PERVERT!

I couldn't do it if I was a mom, what did the daughter do with her GOD given womb? Sort of like me giving my d*ck to my son! which one will I use? what if my son 4ucks it up the way he 4ucked up his? kai,  meeeeeeeeeeeen, I just can imagine it.
If you'd read the link, you'd have discovered that she's just 25 and was born WITHOUT a womb. She's been considering adoption before they discovered that is procedure might be possible.

It will be a thing of joy for any mom to be able to help her daughter in this way. I hope the operation is successful when it's finally carried out.

These pictures are definitely the work of Photoshop. Anybody can be made to 'APPEAR' great with hair brushed pictures on Photoshop.

Maybe she should focus more on getting a great education and a grasp of the command of the English Language instead of paying some guy to give her superficial looks and bask in the euphoria of the hypocrites that awarded an honorary doctorate degree.
RomanceRe: Is It A Crime To Be Ugly? by yimiton(f): 4:58pm On Jun 14, 2011
Really, we may all take this as a joke and laugh about it but let's stop and think about the times we've hated someone just because he or she is ugly and loved the other because they are physically beautiful or physically endowed in some way.

Thinking about it now, it's a serious social issue that needs to be addressed. Short, ugly and fat people are worse hit. People don't regard them and they are called very derogatory names. God bless the Queen that this poor lady has a physically ugly face, she'll face even more discrimination.

Sometimes, I really pity for people that are physically ugly. I think most people are at fault here and we should try to desist from it. Do you know how many jokes there are of Taribo West, Obasanjo, MKO and co? These people are successful in a alot of ways, yet, they're still called ugly because they don't have that flawless skin, acceptable facial structure and finesse. What we don't stop to ask ourselves are 'did they create themselves?' 'What if I were as ugly as they, would I find these jokes funny?'

I think we should step back and ask ourselves some questions before we discriminate against so called ugly people and put ourselves in their shoes.

I hope that some day, sometime, people will get up for these guys and fight their cause.

babes i feel u on these worries, just know that we can never know tomorrow. what we have is today.

Do you tell your parents you love them? those are gestures and tokens that surpass any money you want to shower on them(not saying thats not important. You could set aside a stipend (no matter how small ) to give to them every month( i take it you are working?)

Be thankful you have a man that cares about you, instead of worrying what will happen in the future.

Cheers!

P.S Im a girl, ignore ma supposed male status   kiss
Of course I work and send my parents money monthly but I'm afraid I'm not doing enough. I need to do a lot more before my old Father passes away.
About the guy, thanks jare. I guess we sometimes just worry for nothing. He's not caring, we worry, he cares too much and we still worry he'll change. Thanks jor.  kiss

ok, this is an interesting one. That is killing me right now too.

Ok, my own worries.

I'm worried sick of my job function, I so want to change departments and positions but where do I really want to change to? The big worry is that I'm not sure.

I'm worried about my old parents, Christ, I've not been able to do as much as as I want to, please let them not die, part of the worry and fear is that my Dad could die anytime soon.

I'm worried that my spiritual life is not as good as it should be.

I'm worried that I don't exercise enough

I'm so worried about my relationship, I really really want to have a good, happy and successful marriage but am I 100% sure I'm in the right relationship? I fear, I fear that he's so sweet and understanding he'll probably change once he slips that ring into my finger and we exchange those vows.

I'm not watching this year's BBA, I didn't even subscribe to it, but I think this Karen girl is a horrible representative of Nigeria. I think Big Brother decided to ensure that we don't win again by bringing in losers who cannot even be classified as proper Africans how much more Nigerians. Abeg, what kinda Nigerian does this?  Suddenly, she makes Uti look like a Priest.

FoodRe: Pineapple Peel by yimiton(f): 11:07am On Apr 07, 2011
@ ifyalways, lol. I wasn't high oh. I was looking for other ways of making fruit wines/drinks and I stumbles across this post. I was surprised that a lot of people didn't know about it.

Remember to
1. leave a little pineapple with the peels
2. sieve the drink to ensure that it's clean and healthy

U can also try lime and sprite if you love sour drinks.

It was served to me at Pataya (Thai restaurant) once and I got hooked.

To prepare:

1. Wash 2 limes
2. Cut them at the middle
3. Take out your orange squasher
4. squash the lime
5. Put some ice in a tall glass
6. Pour the sprite
7. Add the lime juice
8. Tune to your favorite DSTV station and enjoy your long glass of drink. I tell you, it's one of the most refreshing drinks ever!
FoodRe: Pineapple Peel by yimiton(f): 9:48am On Apr 07, 2011
Pineapple drink from it's peel is one of the best wines I've ever tasted. It's so so nice that if people get to know this secret, pineapple peels will probably become more expensive than the whole.

To prepare:

Things you'll need:
pineapple skins
container
water
sugar
1 week

1. Place washed skins of one pineapple in a pot, add one liter and a half of water to it and boil for 30 minutes

2. Place the skins with the boiled water in a container.

3. Add sugar to your pineapple skins.

4. Seal your container and place underneath your sink or somewhere out of site

When you are done fermenting the pineapple skins strain the skins and
pieces and voila! you have a refreshing fermented pineapple drink!

Add water or ice to taste.

When I was 16, I got tipsy out of taking this drink because it was so sweet, I couldn't resist it.

Wish I'll get paid for this information! It's too sweet to be given out for free!!!

HealthRe: Dealing With Dyslexia And Other Learning Disorders In Nigeria by yimiton(f): 5:06pm On Mar 31, 2011
This thread was started in April 2008, that's about 3 years ago and there's been no response from the original poster. I hope this gets his attention and he comes back to shed more light on the cause and solution of this very serious problem.

I have a cousin had this problem His younger and elder siblings made jest of him so much that his self esteem was at the lowest ebb.

Today, he's 19 and studying Engineering in a Nigerian University. Everyone is surprised that he's achieved so much and gone as far as he has but I must tell you that it wasn't easy.

I was his tutor for a short while. I was very patient, loving and encouraging and I am proud to say; I contributed to his success story because he learnt to read with my help.

I am not a professional but I think what these set of people need most is patience and encouragement.

PoliticsRe: Inec Releases Hotlines For Complaints by yimiton(f): 4:30pm On Mar 31, 2011
This is a laudable initiative. I sincerely hope these numbers work when they are needed. My only fear is that area boys and touts may be on the look out for anybody making complain calls or sending complain sms. Just be careful that you're in a safe place before you make that call or send that sms.
It will also be a good idea to go with your camera phones, take pictures of any irregularities and send them online. but again, caution is the word!
