So, now that you know who a content writer is and the job description, let’s move on to what you need to be a content writer.

The first step to start content writing from home is to, first of all, know the skills you need to have to be a better writer.

1. Write! Write!! and write some more on different topics on a daily basis 2. Search for a free content writing course (I have one). In addition to that, you can take the Hubspot inbound writing course. It is free. 3. Search for expert content online, especially from gurus like Neil Patel, Jon Morrow, and Brian Dean. Study the pattern and use it to create your own content.
c. Confidence
Confidence is very essential in content writing. It affects the way you describe yourself, the jobs you take on, and how you price your content. The more you write, the more you develop your confidence.
d. Perseverance.
You need to persevere as a new content writer. You may not get a high rate at the beginning, but as you persevere and work more, your earnings will increase.
Step 2: Pick a content writing nice
A niche is a specialization of some sort. For example, a general medical practitioner is different from a cardiologist. A cardiologist specializes in matters of the heart while a general medical practitioner can treat many things, but when they run into issues, they look for specialists. The same goes for content writing. You can decide to write generally for all niches or choose a specific industry to write for, such as the fitness industry, Saas, e-commerce, technology, etc. But there are niches that bring in more money such as the Saas, finance, technology, insurance, accounting, etc.
Step 3: Create a content writing portfolio
Now, that you know your niche, it is time to create a portfolio to showcase your work. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience. I will show you how to do it. Follow the steps below to do it.
a. Go to Google and type in the niche you chose in step 2. For instance, fitness. b. Check out the headlines and write something similar. c. Check out the articles and write something similar. Do not copy anyone. d. Copy and paste the article on Google docs. Save it and get the link. e. Repeat steps 1 to 4 again and get about 10 links on different topics. f. Go to Canva and get a Canva portfolio template of your choice. Redesign it with your details and paste the links you copied. Save and download the portfolio.
Step 4: Search for jobs:
It is time to search for jobs on LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, Freelancer.com, Fiverr.com, and Problogger.com.
Step 5: Choose the best payment method
Once, you start getting clients, it is time to choose your payment method. You can use Paypal, Payoneer, or your bank account to receive your payment from your employer/clients.

Believe me, the curriculum isn't designed that way. Curriculum interpretation by institutions/teachers/lecturers is where we are getting it wrong in my own opinion.
I write with reference to the colleges of health technology NBTE-assigned curriculum. It is atypical to see Bloom's taxonomy - a framework used world wide as a hierarchy/progress /step in learning, outlined in lesson objectives at all levels. The six levels are remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. It suffice to say that the purpose of the taxonomy is to get theoretical and practical knowledge, skill and ability to solve problem and be productive.
Let's go to a classroom in Nigeria. The lesson topic, according to the curriculum, says - "Discuss the role of socio-economic factors in adolescent pregnancy". A typical lecturer comes to lecture on the topic rather than allow a discussion to take place. I guess that is the best way he can interprete the lesson topic or curriculum.
.... But do you know that our inability to let students discuss as outlined in the curriculum, has an effect on their ability to look up facts and figures by themselves, put up an argument or counter argument to drive home their points or even hone their oral presentation skills among other things?
Know this - theoretical and practical knowledge, skill and/or ability to possess at the end of each topic is clearly stated as a learning outcome in all given curriculum by the government. No educator will deny that at all. However, achieving the desired learning outcome is the onus of the institution/teachers.
We are closing the gaps for our own students through our performance-driven lesson plan.

Thanks for the points you presented up there. The fact that students and lecturers are lagging behind in aspect of practicals do not depict that Nigeria curriculum has less of practicals. It was actually watered down to that percentage due to lack of funding of all citadels of learning at all levels.
Take for example, Nigeria Secondary Schools; how many Schools have well equipped laboratories?
Area of research has been neglected by the government. They encourage lecturers to give deliverables as regards students performance yet, the right tools needed for deliverables are not in place.
If care is not taken and government refuses to fund institutions to improve academic at all levels of citadel of learning, the 10% may still water down to 3%.
No nation progresses without it's government making effort in improving all sectors in the nation.

Consulting God has nothing to do with success of a marriage, God will not come down to live with you and your partner, I have seen Christians who claimed they heard God clearly still divorce .

Read Genesis 24 very well. The marriage of Isaac and Rebecca. Abraham sought wife for Isaac through his servant eliazer.
He made him swear by the living God that he would not get a wife for his son among the cannanite women (the infidels); he asked him to go to his kind and kinderen (family) to get a wife for Isaac.
How did Abraham servant search for damsel for Isaac?
When he got to the well; knowing fully well that all the daughters of men will come to the well in the evening to fetch water. He made his donkeys and other servants to stay closer to the well and he prayed to God for favour. Besides the fact that Abraham has prayed to God for the journey to be successful and that the angel of the living God should go ahead of them concerning the journey.
You can read Genesis 24 again and again until you see the hidden treasures in the God's word there.
Favour in getting a good wife or husband comes after a man or woman has diligently prayed about the matter.
While a man is seeking for a wife; he should seek it in the right direction. He should allow God to lead him as he led Abraham servant to Rebecca.
He can only receive guidance from God if He or she prays diligently about the matter and wait patiently on God for success.
He or She should look beyond physical attraction and wealth of this world.
Even after marriage, if couple fails to read the word of God together and pray, devil may have his way in that family.

Watched a lot of Brad traversy videos on JavaScript, built projects but never hosted it, never knew about Git and Heroku and other free hosting platform. So when my laptop crashed all my projects died with it... still trying to retrieve them though.
Since then, I have been learning on my phone, God bless the founder of sololeaen an freecodecamp. I was almost done learning react, using netninja course when my laptop crashed.. Kai I was depressed eveb took this Agba Akin exam on Twitter hoping to be the highest scorer, but I was shocked when people where banging 90+ Omo I just gave up. Did nothing for a week or two, just watching movies.
