Brilliant and intellectual minds are here so I believe you people can help me with an advice because I am so depressed and I don't know who to talk talk to about my depression.

I'm a stammerer, a chronic and dreadful one at that. I can repeat an initial word like forever before I could complete my statement. It has made me hate my life and existence. I have a very low-self esteem, I can't express myself, I can't even approach a girl not to talk of being a relationship because I'm afraid of being mocked.

I'm a graduate in accounting education from AAU. I have always dreamt of becoming a lecturer/teacher. I'm smart and intelligent, I love to impact knowledge but I can't express myself. It's a big disability for me.

Back then in University, when i went for my teaching practice, the first day I taught in a classroom, I sense an undesirable atmosphere. I knew the students were trying to laugh but they respected their selves. When I got home, I locked myself and I cried.... But life goes on.

I graduated 2017, I went for nysc 2018. Since then my life has no bearing. I have not achieved anything. I feel inadequate despite I read a lot and I'm intelligent. It pains me I can't communicate to impact knowledge without stammering.

My father is making it worse for me, he compare me with other guys, he has never appreciated any thing I've done for him, he talks down on me. He finds fault in anything I do, he talks as if I created myself.

My mom and siblings are the reason why I haven't committed suicide. They encourage me everyday, especially my mom who is sick now.

I prefer to be completely deaf and dumb than for me to talk and not be able to express myself.

God is not perfect. If God was perfect, he would not have created some people with disability or deformity. Some people were born crippled, deaf, blind etc.. And you wanna tell me God is perfect? He's a partial and sentimental God. I try to understand his vision but all I see is damages.

Please I'm so depressed. I need advice.

Hmmm! God is perfect and his ways are perfect. Nothing is wrong with the creator of the universe; you are only misconstruing Him. I will tell you what you can do to speak fluent. First thing is to free your mind from wrong perception of God Almighty. Mention and let's find a way to connect. It's God that will help you not me. Your stammering is for God to showcase His glory in you.

Pls., Let's not carry patriotism for our heads and ignore the truth. Any goods going to the market must pass a Quality Assurance test. Standard companies weather in Africa or overseas know the implication of legal action if substandard goods are pushed to the market.
Product gets better over time and I know wt time, made in Nigeria products will improve. For how long will made in Nigeria improve when there is no support from government to improve SMEs? Nobody likes to take is money to market and buy what will not last longer or what will cause damages to ones property.
Some people prefer to pay more to get quality than substandard that will later give them headache. Imagine buying made in Nigeria electronic cables for ur house conduit. Will u be at peace wt that? Even common slippers made by our local cobler will have one coma or the other. I don't condemn them, they are not getting enough support from the government.

Any money yous save should be either towards a business or a digital skill(save for laptop).

I will advice you to save up for 3 months and not give anyone money(including family members). It maybe difficult but you just have to take the decision because it is an African tax.

Business in Nigeria isn't funny except you have money to start well.
Save to buy a laptop so you learn digital skills (I will advice you learn this because it can be combined with a day job) or save for POS business( I don cast but at least you will earn 1k per day).

Bro, go to School and concentrate fully on your studies. Avoid any form of distractions. I don't buy into idea of you getting a bike and giving it out to someone to ride for you; most hired riders are not always faithful. If you want to run a business in School, let it be buying and selling of products that students want. Don't let it be something that takes away 70% of your study time. You can start thinking and praying concerning the kind of business you want to run in School. After you have come up with an idea which God has put in your heart, then approach your Dad and tell him about your mission., He should be able to support you if you state reasons for running business in School. One of the reasons should be you don't want to utterly depend on him for stipends and this will also sharpen your business acumen should in case you choose a career in business in the nearest future. One thing I see in you is being anxious of tomorrow and most importantly what your Dad said. If you are a Christian, pray to God to direct your path cos he is the only one who can teach you how to make profit. If you are not a born again Christian, you can give your life to Jesus and watch how He will help you in the journey of your life. Good day everyone!

So I completed my secondary school education in 2018, and I'll be starting college next year, to study Computer Engineering. My dad had bought me a laptop in 2017, when I was still in secondary school, but it started having issues about a year later and my dad spent a lot of money (about 50k) for repairs alone. He then gave up on the laptop and decided he would get me a new one soon. But it's been two years plus, and he is yet to give me a new one, because of some projects he has at hand.

Before the laptop started having issues, I had mastered everything, from typing fluently to operating the basic softwares such as Ms word, excel, PowerPoint, etc. After I completed my high school education, I started working in the church media unit, and in no time, I was the most preferred media personnel when it comes to scripture projecting, prayer points typing and more.

On July 17th this year, a man favoured me and gave me 160k to get myself a laptop. Since there are only mid-tier laptops at that price range, I decided that I'll keep the money, till when I raise about 200k extra to get a good laptop for 250k, capable of 3d animation which I desire to learn, and to also get myself a secondary monitor, mobile hotspot and a camera to start a YouTube Channel.

I've kept the money for about six months now. It's still intact because it's with my mom. But since it'll take time to save to that amount in order to add and buy the laptop, I have decided to invest the money in any business that will make me at least a 500k under six months. Is there any business that I can venture into?

I would really prefer online businesses that can be done with a mobile phone because of my health issues. But any business idea would still be appreciated!

As a guy man, i will tell you to leave that teaching job. Look for a friend that can accommodate you for like 3-4 months. Teaching job of 30k is slavery bro. Quit it because you won't grow. Enter the street 100%. Save a bit and get a room apartment ( face me i slap you). I served in Ogun, ibafo precisely. I had alot of opportunities to secure a job there, but my mum insisted I must come back to East. I got a teaching job in the East but the pay wasn't ok. I had to move down to Abj to join my friend in POS business, I started mine but I was robbed of all my savings. Currently doing nothing now and patiently waiting for the day I will rest in peace.
