FBNH Coded accumulation still ongoing..... How does these MMs or Brokers do the chain purchase or sales of stocks self?? Anyone knows? Abeg I'm interested to know..... Buyer(s) not on queue......1.5M bids moving 52M offers up ........OANDO Anyone buying above 5.00 is "OYO" ![]() Anything can happen in NSE anyway....... ![]()
|
FBNH Offers far outweigh bids and price is moving up........weird market. ![]() Seems one billionaire is codedly buying again. UBA on the other hand, bids far outweigh offers for days now..... and price remain unchanged. Some of the companies already commenced announcement of closed period for Q2 2022. |
Odisweet:It's about half year dividends, mostly called interim Dividend that some banks and companies used to pay. These banks and companies pay dividends twice a year. So, the calculations you saw there were done in expectation of this year's interim Dividends using the interim amount paid last year as yardstick........this was to be used in positioning for this year's dividends, and more importantly, to know which one will give the best value among the four banks considered, for half year 2022.......all things being equal. Hope I answered your question. ![]() |
Abbasmh:Payment date and AGM has been shifted to July 26, 2022. https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36150_COURTEVILLE_BUSINESS_SOLUTIONS_PLC%20_NOTICES_OF_ANNUAL_.pdf |
ggoldmine:Working fine. You can follow this link: https://itrade.morgancapitalgroup.com/customers/?expurl=/trader/c/ |
Dollarwoman:You're right.........but pls note that my response was SPECIFIC to the question asked by @Lancee. He wanted to invest solely for INTERIM Dividend and asked which one to buy, guess he needed just one stock among his listed four.........reason for that reply. Happy Sunday. ![]() |
lancee:Yes. For Final Dividend, ZENITH/GT carries higher mark........all things being equal. ![]() |
lancee:Among the 4, UBA or ACCESS appears better for interim than others. Let's look at it this way using N1M as Capital at CP (excluding fees) and previous interim payout as consideration: * ZENITH @21.75 = 45,997 units x 0.30 = N13,799.10 * GTCO @20.90 = 47,846 units x 0.30 = N14,353.80 * ACCESS @9.50 = 105,263 units x 0.25 = N26,315.75 * UBA @7.50 = 133,333 units x 0.20 = N26,667.00 ** UCAP doesn't pay interim. ** WAPCO paid special interim Div in 2021 FYE, may just be a one-off thing, except there's going to be a surprise again this year. |
FBNH Sighted @ days high N10.10! Where's that Oga that wants to dump his kaya @8.25 or so?? Oya calculate the extra on top and bring for thanksgiving. ![]() UCAP chopping cane on the other hand...... why nah? ![]() So also ZENITH.........quite some volume @21.90...... ZENITH closed @21.70........do these guys know what we don't know yet?? ![]() |
Harvestock01:Something doesn't seems right here. I want to believe there's a game play going on there. Is it not possible for OANDO to also pocket the 14 minority holders, then story will change again. |
INTBREW, UACN........ |
MTNN made U-turn (up) since yesterday...... So also FBNH and DANGCEM, thanks to more local concentration. Las las, GTCO and ZEE go Waka alone if their enemies no gree free dem quick........ *modified* OANDO, opened at day's high, 6.27 but sighted @circa 6 later......so far, it's fate is still hanging and anyone playing the game should be on top of it and apply caution. |
DrAwo:Lol. Thanks Doc for the explanation. Sometimes to decode those ogas with few words no dey too gree person. I'd thought he meant the opposite. ![]() Agba for instance, I go just read his post, grab anyone wey I fit grab and Waka pass. ![]() |
robobo:What if OANDO eventually didn't delist?? The document says "If approved by all the minority shareholders at the court ordered meeting". Looks like there's a game play going on here.....because OANDO was pinning the voluntary delisting on the petition by the minority shareholders, like they're not so keen on delisting. This could be another strategy for safe landing of the bad results maybe, after that some minority shareholders will be against delisting. Whatever it is, we are watching the drama. ![]() |
Mpeace: ![]() Everything sure look planned out. Since they mentioned "......and other information" or so, I knew they are planning something, but I'd thought they wanted to surprise with dividend, not knowing it's delisting. Anyway, I think your gamble shouldn't exceed 5.50.........in case the exit price is N6....... especially with the loss recorded in released results so far. |
wanaj0:Lol. Na to deal with caution now o. Only gamblers will try their luck here. ![]() Compliment sir. ![]() |
goody234:Buy-out or you go private with them. Courtville get enough "Oxygen" in CP's voice, but we sincerely hope they'll not be stingy with the exit price. Everything na risk taking sha. It may end up paying off, who knows. Minority shareholders' fate now in MGMT's hands. |
courage89:No former offer or buyout price yet. All these to be discussed in the forthcoming AGM in July 26. |
OANDO Outstanding results don land oo https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36191_OANDO_PLC%20_AUDITED_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2019_FINANC.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36195_OANDO_PLC%20_QUARTER_1_%20_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2020_FI.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36197_OANDO_PLC%20_QUARTER_2_%20_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2020_FI.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36198_OANDO_PLC%20_QUARTER_3_%20_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2020_FI.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36199_OANDO_PLC%20_QUARTER_4_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2020_FINA.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36200_OANDO_PLC%20OANDO_PLC_%20_2020_UAFS_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36201_OANDO_PLC-OANDO_PLC__CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE_2022.pdf https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36192_OANDO_PLC%20OANDO_PLC_%20_AFS_2019_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE_.pdf |
Confusion for OANDO house..... From full offer @5.21 to 5.74...... From 5.74 back to 5.21........ 5.21 back to 5.60 again...........closed @5.70. Make somebody no come and go and get hbp o. ![]() The forces behind GT's sales no be ordinary.... Like robots or is it algos lined up offers..... ![]() DANGCEM, MTNN reversed shedding...........inched up towards closing...
|
leparj:Invest the 0.5M or 1M in even UBA, ZEE or GT and collect interim Dividend instead. At least, even if price falls, you'll still be looking at your money in your portfolio. |
goody234:Yes. Going private. To delist from NSE and re-register as private coy. AGM scheduled for 26th July. |
PRESCO!! Huge cross deals up to N183!! FBNH: Sighted @9.10! Up with 80k... UBA: The prayer of that 50M single buyer answered.... ** Caveat: Just market observation**
|
ZENITH, GTCO and STANBIC: Outlook looking somehow stable in today's market with some form of shedding resistance.........UNTIL towards closing that the dumper appeared again...... Is the trend going to be halted or will continue?? Is the dumper done dumping or still have more kaya to offload?? We'll know as trading continues in coming days....... |
Slimdove:What made you invest heavily in FBNH in the first place? DD, fundamentals, bandwagon effect or Otedola factor? What was your motive and objective?? Think if you can sincerely answer yourself, then you'll likely know what to do or maybe you could get much better advice. You come forth like someone knowledgeable in this biz from some of your previous contributions, so I expect more emotional control from you. See one of your posts below. Anyway, I think you'll just have to exercise enough patience especially if you didn't borrow to invest here.......and moreso that your loss is just paper profit, you don't lose unless you sell. I equally think you answered yourself in your below post. ![]() First Bank is not the only bank/stock feeling the heat. Also, the news that Otedola sold some shares is mostly responsible for the sell-off, the guy is wise and a business man, it may be another strategy to come and accumulate more at cheaper price again. Besides, he still remain the highest single shareholder in FBNH so far........ As for Peter, to change mouth can be so easy for him........he's seriously looking for bargain, so expect to see more bad news from him. ![]() Slimdove: |
To all the wonderful dads, potential dads, grandpa and Grannys in the house, Happy Fathers Day. ![]()

GT 21.05!! ZEE: 21.30/21.40! Think Fed Govt needs to step in thru the locals, the fund managers and co. like they did one time like that..... This is what we get when a govt takes it's responsibility with levity and selfish interest..... Hopefully, some measures should start coming in from next week......we see how it goes... UACN on the other hand moved up....... |
dharpzee:Oh! Ok. Thanks for the update. |
Toluway:Amen! Thanks sir. I think those looking for where to invest should keep eye on those fundamental stocks with high dividend yields and either be picking in tranches or watching for likely bottom. Siting example now, just trying to do some Arithmetics: ![]() In March/April 2020, ZENITH for instance touched N10.70 due to COVID-19 and thereafter went as high up as N27/28 or thereabout....... Think 3 Dividends has been paid after that........2019, 2020 and 2021 FYE. Meaning, whosoever was lucky to pick around that price, let's say N11 breakeven should be having No self fund in ZENITH by April 2022 again + price appreciation that followed after, whatever units is there +price appreciation should all be profit........it means, the lower ZENITH goes, the better the Dividend yield and the better the profitability. So also GTCo and some other sound ones. This time around, we don't pray for such unfortunate incident that could lead to the ridiculous prices of that time......but I think whosoever is trapped in those 4 banking stocks should just exercise enough patience if there's no fund to average down and can't sell due to heavy paper loss or so. Dividends is there to hold body, till things stabilize and reverse up. My take. ![]() Lol. Make you no mind my Arithmetics o. May not be accurate but just trying to picture the scenario. |
@slimdove I equally saw a mail like that. Think you should contact Meristem via email or phone call. It could be that they already have updated E-mandate form, but due to unlimited copies of the old one online, locating updated one might be a bit difficult. Alternatively, visit Meristem website and see if you could download updated copy there. |
Mpeace:Think this was also discussed here one time like...... That the Govt ought to device means of controlling the ratio of a particular stock that foreigners can buy, especially banking stocks that are central to the economy..........if I still remember well... Part of the negative effect is what we're seeing in the Financial Sector now.... Those guys are just milking the country.......Anything that affects them becomes the nations problem. Well, coupled with our own instability. Small time again, they'll come back and start mopping the stocks, and we'll all be happy again........the damage they've done and are doing to the country's economy due to "porosity" is not small (let me use one of the ogas English then )Think someone said it would be an effect we would feel in the long run that time. The banking stocks mostly affected are ZENITH, GTCO, UBA and ACCESS. |
Heishere:Lol. I can't comprehend a single thing there. |
