Mentioned yesterday that it looks like some guys are trying to push the share price down to enter cheaper.........only time can prove this right or wrong.

Some media news says that Otedola acquired about 5% before now.......thru some Companies.........bringing his stake to over 10%. Though no formal notification as to that effect (the initial 5%).

Anyway, let them continue with the battle of supremacy, in as much as it's going to end up helping the minority and tashere shareholders.

FBNH are only following the due process, until he is passed by all the regulatory bodies they won't declare him as the chairman of FBNH. The best they can do is to distance from them from the rumour.
A winner of an election can only be declare a winner but until he/she is sworn in, he won't be called with the title of the office

Chances are that it's not Sir Otedola that's buying now. Maybe the owners of Leadway assurrance (Sir Odukale & co) ...see the attached doc below.

Wish I had a stake in that insurance company. It's about the biggest and best managed insurance coy in the country. The group alone, has acquired over 5.36% of FBNH' total OS.

Again, maybe Sir Otedola might also buy in future. Or perhaps someone is buying or will buy on his behalf. (indirect stake)
Probably explains the other 4.17% of FBNH shares acquired from the total of near 9.6%. .

Leadway is no doubt one of the best insurance coys in the country before and now.

Otedola is buying thru Calvadous Global Services Ltd and maybe some other companies not yet known.
A publication has been issued today as to that effect.

Battle of who controls the largest stake and directs the affair of the bank seems to still be on.....

However, new publication indicates that the current chairman of the bank owns 5.37% of the bank's outstanding shares.

So on this same Saturday, weekend o, FBNH denied receiving any notification and same today, notification was received and immediately published on NSE website. Dem try.

Publication says 5%, Media says over 10%. Who is deceiving who?

On a serious note, I think there's a value ahead that these guys are seeing but still not known/clear to ordinary eyes.
Seems more and more individuals and companies are taking position in FBNH.

The info leaked before FBNH notifies NSE and there's the need to deny it first in order to prevent sanction.

Also, boardroom politics is at play here.

** Otudeko's faction brought in Adenuga and I suspected that the other faction of Adeduntans brought in Otedola.
** It could be that the other faction are planning to increase their shareholding as well, to oust Otedola, so they needed to discredit the report that Otedola now controls the largest shareholding.........so they can move in more.

** Let the billionaires make some more show of billions' display joor, we dey gbadun dem.
** Some more billionaires should also come on board as well. Coming days will be interesting.

I think one of the things affecting this stock is lack of much info about them......

This is their first year. No track record or past history for analysts to base their judgements/analysis on.......and to know if their listing price or current price is a fair value/ fair reflection of the true state of the group.
In terms of past history, I mean as a Limited Liability Coy.

More clarity will keep surfacing as time goes on.......but I think this stock is a good one to keep eye on. It will most likely deliver.

Caveat: 100% my opinion. I may be wrong.

Otedola is not coming in to benefit the minority shareholders, rather he is coming in to use the bank to further his ministry.

Your eye go clear when FBN starts to dey give loans to him to acquire assets FG has lined up for sale in 2022.

SEC and CBN should come in now before Ote$ will plunge the bank into serious financial crises

The thing is, in as much as Otedola did not contravene any law/rule, they can't lay any charge(s) on him.

Think I understood your angle.........that he may end up securing loans for his biz and may in turn affect FBN...........but for now, he hasn't and didn't do anything wrong.

He saw a profitable biz opportunity and make good use of it.

Remember he's not the only one on the board of FBN and there's faction in the board. I don't expect what happened last to repeat itself again in Fbnh.

In fact, as it is, SEC is benefitting from all these share purchases upandan........
We hope it reflects in our NGXGROUP's profitability by year end. Fat dividend won't be bad.

@Mpeace, if you see the 2nd paragraph of that article, it says "as the largest shareholder, he holds the highest voting shares and can determine the direction of the bank".
All he needed to do is to give the brokers directives.......if he says he wants to see FBNH shares @18 or 20, na to carry out the instruction ooo.

With N30B, the rival group may re-strategize and regroup. He'll likely give more gap by buying more...
But one thing I Blvd will happen is that FBNH may witness more price manipulations to his favour.......as the highest shareholder.
The Elephant is not yet done in my opinion.
