Have any of you seen Law and Order SVU (Season 5, Production #E4406)? Its about the investigation into the death of a young boy who appears to be the victim of a ritualistic killing that leads to the discovery that he was one of many children smuggled from Nigeria to be sold into slavery.

They showed a re-run on USAnetwork last night. If you can, watch that episode, you will love it.

Excluding our parents (though some people might argur this), we have the right to choose who we fall in love with. And from your first post, i assumed you would've gone out with him if he wasn't crippled (a big turn-off for you). So, except for the "and i just flipped" part, i don't think you did anything wrong by rejecting him. You have the right to choose. If you had accepted him, it will be love based on pity. And you definitely don't want that.

I know he didn't ask to be a crippled but should that be enough reason for her to feel pity for him in the name of love.

I like your style it's cool, one other things i do before exams is that i eat nothing or eat light, snacks (biscuits)

When you are hungry you think faster, I know it works for me. I also take glucose, since it is the food of the brain.

And all the times i have read into My exams i have preformed badly.

My solution is have confidence, if you lack it you fail it is that simple.

Eat light, yes. But goin to an exam in an empty stomach gives me migraine. I can't function without something in my stomach. Besides, your body needs energy for your brain cells to work. Thats why i eat fruits in the morning. But hey, if that works for you, all the best.

BTW, i drink a lot of water before bed. Prevents hangover and dehydration the next day.

This is a serious cry for help!!!

You can stimulate your brain functions by eating lots of fresh fruit and carrots (raw). One of the substances that fruit contains are natural sugars which stimulate the brain so you can think faster and recall information more quickly.

In addition to studying hard, change your eating habits between waking up and doing an exam. The big trick is to consume fruit effectively. Have only fruit but as much as you want before you do your test or defend your project as in this case and avoid the following brain blocking foods:

Again, there is no substitute for laziness. If you're not well prepared for your exam, you can eat all the fruit in the world but it won't do any good.

Some people are blessed with retentive/photographic memory. They understand/capture things easily and fast. For me, i  study hard and the day before i take any test, i suspend all reading even if i didn't finish all i need to read. i watch comic movies, drink couple of beer and i'm ready to go.

I don't remember reading anything about fornication on this topic. Its not all about sex. Can't you live with your girl/boyfriend without thinking of sex? ~ at least for a while. I believe there are more to relationship than just roughing the sheets.

Simple solution: - anytime you go out with him, always make it know to people that your boyfriend is deaf and dumb. That way, he won't say anything to embarrass (still wondering how he can possibly do that) you. Better yet, tell him to shut the <beep> up in public ~ anything. But whatever you do, don't leave him because of this.

As long as she perform her wifely duties, she can have queen elizabeth as her last name for all i care. Unfortunately,  african tradition frown at women who retain their maiden name after marriage. I don't really see the need for all this cry-cry. OBJ is yet to officially accept the offer. Can't we give him the benefit of the doubt? I wasn't just refering to cell phone. When i said mobile devices, i meant pda or laptops with integrated, SD or PCMCIA wireless enabled card. You will agree with me that most Nigerians can't afford a laptop or even have a need for pda.

Is this even a viable business? Have you made contact with the said plastic firms to confirm their interest to buy?

Anyway, you've got 3 options:

1. Get yourself an overall, a nice boot and start picking water satchets/bottles off the road/trash cans. Might take you a while to gather enough to sell.

2. Employ the help of local primary/secondary students who won't mind picking up dirt after school hours. Of course, you got to pay them.

3. Advertise on the media, encourage people to recycle and provide containers at strategic sites so people can dump their recycled satchets easily.

You can also come up with a proposal to the local/state government to pay you to help clear the streets of waste.

I too share your concern on this but since Suburban Broadband holds 80% stake, the bulk of maintenance and service will naturally be left to them and i'm sure they're not goin to allow the business to die.

You can still operate cyber cafe business profitably around the area since majority of Nigerians don't have mobile devices to utilize the free service.
