This shouldn't be an issue. Windows comes with generic drivers that will work with your devices. I don't know about bluetooth though but you can always get drivers from the manufacturer's website after. |
Love, the universal organizer of greater things, is not gained through the quoting of scriptural phrases with the Intention of berating or intimidating others.Which begs the questions; 1.Who wrote the Bible? 2. Why are some of the original script not included in the now chronological Bible? What are the criteria used to disregard them. 3. Is it possible that some of the ancient translators made (even if minute) mistakes during the translation of the original script to another language. Is it possible they were influenced by factors like emotion; drunkenness; pity; racial bias; language limitation; etc; during their work? So instead of translating 'for God so hated the world, etc', they wrote 'for God so loved the world'. Have you ever listened to a preacher trying to interpret a passage from the Bible, word by word? Trying to give meanings to the words than the whole message? Given the historical nature of man to make mistakes, is it possible there might have been a mistake somewhere in the Bible? If so, is it possible that the Bible isn't the mind of God after all? That spirituality is nothing but a mirage. A way to give meaning for something we don't understand or comprehend? Something that has never been. the equivocal search for a TRUTH that never was. These are just my thought and have no bearing on me being a Christian, Muslim or any other form of religion. |
candylips:Its a mirage because its only a DREAM. There is no law that said dreams must come true. Still, its wondeful to dream. |
I thought DV has been abolished by Congress ![]() |
KDK:Pastors, Men of God, Bishops, Believers, etc, they all are can get, they all get sick and, they all can die and they do ~ just like everyone else. If you still don't believe that, you either delusional, high or both. |
katherinae:So, whats your point? Your spouse shouldn't be your best friend? |
Six Sigma was trying to satirize the topic. His name says it all. Six Sigma is an industrial Quality standard developed by Motorola. You can never put failure and quality side by side. |
I think someone here seriously need to get laid. That will clear the clogged brain and make you see reality. |
Do we have to get married? Can't we just live in peace and enjoy our friendship? ![]() |
KDK:Whacha afraid of?? Say whatever you got to say here. We get sick because thats part of growing. Even Apostle Paul had stomach ache until he died. When he prayed for healing, God told him 'my grace is enough for you'. Sickness in most cases is not as a result of sin. |
Take Jessica Simpson for example, she was a virginDon't even get Jessica Simpson involved in this matter. She said she was a virgin before marriage so did Britney Spears until we learnt otherwise. |
hayprof:Hey buddy, screwing things up is a part of learning. I don't think you will find anyone that will hold your hand and 'teach' you everything you must know about Linux. If you are not ready to take that chance, forget Linux or get the LiveCD like you said. What works for him might not work for you. You already have the general idea what Linux is about. Its now left for you to take that and run with it. Then ask questions along the way. Experiment! Experiment!! Experiment!!! Thats how learning works. |
ME!!! I have never fallen sick for the past 10yrs since entering a covenant with the ancient of days. EXODUS 23:25-26. JESUS paid the PRICES fr all my imperfections (including) sicknesses on the CROSS.Yeah right. Next you will try to convince us you are not going to die, ever. |
what is this supposed to do to your life? The person that is asking this question. Is this of any importance to ya? There are more important things in life than this question of yours. Not very smart i must say.Give him a break. There is nothing like a stupid question. People do read the comments posted by others and it might change their opinion. Based on intelligent comments posted so far on this topic, you might be saving another wayward child from blowing his academic chances just to be like Elumelu, Gani or even Bill Gates. We are not all equal. Not everyone will make 1st class and not everyone will succeed in life with 1st class or not. Thats just the cold hard truth. To the person that ask the question: Failure, sometimes, define/shape our destiny in life. The great Einstein allegedly failed Maths in school, was once rejected as a student at Zurich Polytechnic. But he moved on and stunned the world with his relativity theory. What happened next is history. Does this mean we should all endeavour to fail first so we can achieve success later? Hell, no!!! Try as much as you can to make good grades in school (1st class in this case) in a moral and legal way (whatever that means in Nigerian setting). And if you fail then, don't fail to utilize the success that comes with failure. Thats what made Elumelu, Gani, etc what they are. |
There are so many methods you need to be aware of. Denial of privileges is probably the most versatile system, so "time out" is not the issue here. You can deny them of TV. You can deny them of unnecessary snacks. You can withdraw phone privileges. Duh!The problem we have in Nigeria is copying what other 'civilised' nations are doing without checking how they got to where they are and the system they put in place to get them there. Take for instance in America, if they think you are not taking good care of your kids or that you beat them, they will take and put them in foster care. Good. Is there such a thing in Nigeria? You said denial of privileges is the most versatile system. What privileges can you deny an average Nigerian child?? How many ordinary Nigerian parents can afford to buy 'snacks' for their kids? have phone at home? what program on Nigerian TV network can you possibly deny a kid that will make him cry?? How many kids in Nigeria even consider TV a privilege? It might work in the so called civilized world but not in Nigeria, yet. Not until the complementary systems has been put in place. Because somebody wrote them in some website does not make it the universal guideline in all situation. Isn't the prison system itself a form of "time-out"?The reason for the time-out or denial of privileges as you mentioned is to avoid physical or body harm right? Yet convicted prisoners are molested, raped, sodomized in prison everyday. Does that justify putting them there? Can you say that the government, prosecutor or even the judge that sent him there is not 'civilised'? However you look at this, the price you pay for doing wrong will always result in pain. How painful that is will justify the effect. No one in their right mind will brutalize his/her kid but there comes a time you need to put your feet on the ground and act as a father/mother - here i go again, in MODERATION |
I think the issue here is, parents over beating their kids. That is, not knowing when to stop. If your child misbehave, spank him/her. It will put a lil fear of God in them. Moderate fear is a good thing. It makes you aware of the your surrounding. The US Marine use to say 'pain is nothing but weakness leaving the body'. A quintessential Nigerian mom/dad will beat the leaving daylight out of their kid - leaving series of mark on them. Thats where the problem starts. Once they get used to the beating, the effect will be lost like lunafish said. Always giving your child a time-out no matter what he did ain't helping either. It will eventually give him the notion that he can get away with anything and you will agree with me, there is no time out in real life. Some parents don't know how to 'talk' to their kids. Some kids will even prefer you beat them than take the crap thats coming out of your mouth. Adopting western style is not the solution. If them western country wants to spare the rod, they should let a murderer, robbers go free - give them a time-out. Thats sparing the rod, ain't it? Of course, you can always prove me wrong. The point is, do everything in moderation. Parents, as well as their children should learn to take responsibility of their action. |
edygirl:The point here is not translating the exact English word(s) to Igbo but, make a statement that implies the same. There is no igbo speaking son of the soil that won't understand what you mean when u refer table as 'osisi nwere ukwu ano' even 'igwe nwere ukwu ano' will do in case of metal table. Unfortunately there has been systematic redundancy in igbo language development. While the english, french and others work round the clock updating their vocabulary, we are all busy shouting 'nna bros' at onitsha main market. On a side note, imagine singing 'happy birthday to you, happy birthday, etc' as 'Anuri ubochi amurugi di kwara gi, Anuri ubochi amurugi di kwara gi, etc'. It will make one hell of tongue twister. |
Just tell her "happy birthday in igbo", she will understand. By the way, table is 'osisi nwere ukwu ano'. |
Todd Terry:I've got a sample. Do you want me to mail it to you? |
What can someone do to stop farting constantly I have this guy at work that couldn't stop farting and its not just the ordinary 'puff' non-stinking fart but the big bang skinky, stinky type. Again, his stool stinks too. Management is talking about firing him and he's threatening to sue if they do. |
Seems like the circuit on 'top' (not the platter inside the case) of the hard drive got fried. What you can do is: -buy, borrow, steal (whatever) another 40GB slim Maxtor hard drive ---must be the same type for this to work -unscrew the circuit on top of both, -replace the bad hard drive with the new circuit. That might give you a chance of getting access to copy your data. Note: Fixing 'bricked' hard drive has always been trial and error. You might see just one partition when you do this because, a chip on the circuit contains the volume/partition information and how data were written. Good luck. |
First of, trying freezing the hard drive. take care not to let ice crystals form on it (, or inside it). it usually has a reduced read speed and it eventually stops working again, but freezing the drive gives you plenty of time to get the data off, or even boot from it. If you must get your data/files from the dead hard drive back at all cost, there is a chance. It wont be easy if you gon do it yourself but it will work and should be the last option if everything else fails. Here it goes: Get another hard drive of the same make and size. Crank both hard drives open. Transfer the guts of the dead hard drive to the new one (this is assuming the problem is the spindle motor and not the magnetic platter). Attach it to a system and boot the system using knoppix or any live cd and copy your data. Now, this should be done in a clean environment and you can practice with other drives you don't need to get the fell of it. I have done this before for a friend. He never believed in back-up and lost all his family picture, documents and a whole bunch of other stuff. He was willing to pay me and take the risk (he aint got a choice BTW). I was able to recover 98% of his data. Note: i will take no responsibity if you screw your hard drive up. Do this at your own risk. Good luck. |
Normal Windows update will most likely fix the problem. If for any reason you can't get windows to update, go to the site i gave you earlier. They have lots of patches for Internet Explorer. If you still have problems, post the error message you get here then, we will go from there. |
Yep. Thats what i do. |
I'm a robotics hobbyist. I've been playing with microcontrollers for a long time but the first complete programmable robot i built was from parallax's boe-bot kit i bought from Radioshack. Parallax make Basic Stamp microcontrollers series and their Pbasic software is easy just as Basic programming language. Vex robotics is good as well for beginners. So yes, am interested in robotics and love to build electronics projects in general. |
I think you have internet explorer plug-in problem. It will help if you post the exact error message here. Disabling error reporting will only hide the problem instead of solving it. You need to update your internet explorer from windows update or get it from here. Hope that helps. |
The Webster online dictionary defined virgin as 'a person who has not had sexual intercourse'. Now, my question is, if you are a girl and you mastubate or use Love Machine/vibrator without doing the real thing with a guy (or even gal), are you still considered a virgin Do they deserve the so called white wedding too![]() |
